WOW best Colombian restaurant in the greater Dallas area. make sure you make reservations on weekends if you are going. We got lucky and were able to get seated upon arrival. its a small seating area that is clean sleek and well organized. service was simple clean and right on. but the food! the food is the star met the chef and she is amazing! full passion for great food and beverage experience! definitely worth it. they also have a pastry case for to go items. very well done!

Needed something different than the usual breakfast and found this gem on Yelp. I had no experience with Colombian food and if this is representative I'm in! Our waiter was so nice and helpful, led to me to the Arepitas plate. (Apparent owner also checked in on us.) Fresh, rich, and quite a welcome change! The dining room was super clean (with the added bonus of a view of the kitchen!) and the furnishings were new and fit with my personal taste. Definitely coming back...probably for dinner so I can try some cocktails or beer!

My favorite lunch date spot with my girls! I love everything about this place from the close intimate setting to the food and service!

Came here for breakfast one morning with a friend, and it was overall really good. The owner was super kind and very helpful explaining the menu and giving recommendations. The juices were amazing, the appetizers were chose were decent. I really love blood sausage but we ordered the one with the cheese and it honestly wasn't my favorite. The empanadas were delicious though. And the soup I got was absolutely amazing full of flavor. The coffee was also very tasty.

Went to Curuba for breakfast and had the Curuba's Breakfast and a friend had the Mi Burrito. Sofia was our server and did a good job explaining some things on the menu. My eggs were overcooked but I really enjoyed the Arepa Boyacense. My friend's burrito was huge and he enjoyed it. Coffee and OJ were good (free with a Val Pak coupon). Will have to have to check them out at lunch.

One of the few negatives is that this is a small store-front restaurant, with maybe 6 tables. The positives are that the female server is delightful and helpful, and the food is generally quite good. I had the chicken with mushrooms in sauce, with sautéed spinach and rice. I would have thought that a Spanish restaurant would have Spanish rice, but they only had white rice. That really wasn't a problem, as the sauce was really good and mixed well wiith the rice. The portion of chicken was generous, (2 flat pan-fried breast pieces), and with the sauce, quite tasty. However, the thin flattened chicken was a bit dense, so I requested extra sauce. The sautéed spinach was perfect. My partner had the brisket dog, which he said was very good. We had some sort of pineapple-flavored creamy cake for dessert, which was kept refrigerated, and served in the small plastic refrigerator box. The lid on it took off all the frosting when removed. We had mixed feelings about that dessert...very strong pineapple taste, and not a great way to serve it. We both had to try to eat out if the square plastic carton. The only other negative was their one unisex restroom, which meant standing in line in the hall right next to the clanking kitchen sounds. There was missing moulding as well as empty white pails in the restroom. Not a great atmosphere. There were also no purse hangers in the restroom and none at the table, either, which was inconvenient. Very nice couple who seemed to run it, and they prepared good food. I do recommend.

Curuba is now open for breakfast! We came across this hidden gem a few days ago, and so glad we did! Finally we have a great Colombian restaurant in this area! I am Colombian, and miss the flavors of my beautiful country! Found a little bit of that here! We tried arepitas, arepa ranchera, of course buñuelos, and everything was delicious!! We will definitely be coming back!

Ajiaco, casava butter + corn bread , plantain, beans, homemade sausage, chimichuri sauce on plamcha chicken, to top it all with a freshly brewed colombian coffee, this is a authentic paisa comfort food place. In the most unusual part of Dallas but food is made from scratch with fresh ingredients. Its a cozy little joint, family owned joint with personalized and warm service. You wont go wrong with this long drive up north dallas to get down south american food.

Curuba is a local Columbian place, with excellent food, decor, and service. I got the chance to try it when my people were hungry, but didn't want to leave home so I volunteered to go pick up some take out from them. My son got the "Messy Hot Dog" - unfortunately the picture does not convey the size of this thing - it is huge. I only got 1 bite, but it was outstanding. My son could only ate half and saved the other half for his dinner tomorrow. He also got the very generous side of fruit and a Mango with water - he was very happy. I got the Red Beans Stew "Cazuela" - absolutely fantastic! I mixed everything together and lived the good life. I would have been happy with the the red bean stew, but combined with the rice, pork belly and the guacamole potato sticks, it absolutely rocked. We got the Mini Arepas plain for my granddaughter, which she devoured (I did manage to get 1 bite and they were great) - although I think we will get it with brisket next time. I feel quite fortunate to have such a high quality place so close - you should treat yourself by visiting them. I should also add that the owners were very kind and friendly people. - Just came back - now with wine and beer!

    Brunch Desgranado

Brunch was fantastic. Food was amazing and service top notch. Started with empanadas one of each and one was better than the next I had Brunch Desgranado and it was a symphony of flavors just perfect My son had Bandeja Paisa and it was so good! Highly recommend

Kids meal - Homemade Mac & cheese with a side of fruit

Stopped in for a quick lunch and was super happy with everything served. Literally everything was homemade, fresh and delicious! I'm not familiar with Colombian cuisine but there's plenty on the menu even for the non adventurous. I can't wait to come back and try more, but I can immediately see how good this place is and why the reviews have been stellar. Everything is homemade and the (owner I assume?) server was happy to tell me what everything was. Even the croutons in my salad were freshly made. My Caesar salad was perfect. A mix of kale and lettuce, homemade cheese/corn croutons, homemade dressing, and the chicken I added was cooked perfectly. I couldn't possibly ask for more, even though it's a simple dish. One of the best salads I've had in the area. The guacamole appetizer was also great. Served with hot and crispy arepas and some sort of tasty hot sauce if you want spicy. My kid enjoyed his Mac n cheese and a large side of fresh fruit. Perfect for a kids meal. I was curious about what a few things were so I chatted with the owner a little who explained that they don't use seed oils (except for the fryer I think), no gmos, and try to use only healthy ingredients. While I don't generally worry about that stuff, this probably is appealing to some and it's nice to know the ingredients are higher quality than you usually get. It sounds like his wife is back there cooking everything from scratch and from what we tried, she is doing an amazing job! It's a small restaurant with only a few tables in an unassuming strip mall (by the closed Sonic) but it was cute inside and they've done a nice job with the small space. I intend to make this a regular spot since there are healthy options, freshly made kids meal options, and everything I've tried so far has been great. Food: 5/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Price: 5/5

Front entrance newly opened and way nicer inside that I expected!

Tried the bandeja paisa and it was a great portion of deliciously prepared meats! My favorite was the chorizo, followed by the chicharron followed by the steak. Everything was very well prepared and the service is exceptional. I must have had four people ask me how I was doing and if I needed anything. I did ask for hot sauce and an extra side of their aoli. It was all very very good possibly the best Colombian food I've had!

First off the menu options are varied making it hard to choose just one entree. Did we want pancakes or French toast or biscuits....so hard. We were seated at the back of the restaurant, kitchen side and it was so fascinating to see meals as they were prepped to go out to patrons. Everything looked fresh, delicious, and made to order and the portions were definitely shareable. We started off with brunch cocktails and even received a comp croissant beignet appetizer which was absolutely amazing. They were flacky on the outside and butter soft inside with amazing Nutella dipping sauce. We decided to go with a green goddess salad with all the yummy veggies, French toast, and pancakes for the table. This is a great place to dine alone and with family, friends, or a brunch date. Its very farmhouse chic and cant what to go back and try more of the menu. They will always get a recommendation from me. First off the Chicken Fried Chicken was delicious prepared very well good flavor and very crispy. The gravy had a lot of flavor as well no salt or pepper needed. I order three eggs over medium the yolk could have been a bit more runny. I didn't care for the has because it did not have any potatoes in it. Service was good but did not knock my socks off. The restaurant is decorated very nice and had a good vibe. I ordered a second piece of sourdough toast which tasted great hence the reason for a second piece. The real home made jam made the toast. When the bill came I was charged $4.50 for a single piece of toast. This was a ridiculous amount for a single piece of toast it was more than my iced tea. Really $2.00 for a piece of bread toasted seems like a reasonable price. I just finished breakfast at another breakfast spot up on University. I really can't compare apples to apples except for the addition pice of toast. $1.99 for two slices of toast. Over all meal was priced fair. I just don't think I will be back here due to the prices.

Hashbrowns had a bad flavor-from the grease they squirt on the griddle to cook the hashbrowns and get them crisp. It tasted old. I love hashbrowns and order them a lot when ordering breakfast. Located in a never-ending strip mall in Allen, we walked in and got our name on the list. It was 11:30 am, so the early church crowd was coming in alongside us. We were told it would be about 30 minutes, but it ended up only being about 10. Inside, Sunview is loaded with Texas décor all over the walls. It feels pretty small, but they definitely take advantage of every corner of the space for seating with their booths and tables. The prices are pretty fair for a brunch spot. One thing that definitely caught me off guard was how many things were on their double-sided menu. It felt like a legal document with how extensive it was. It is definitely overwhelming, but I locked in and ordered a Meat Lover's Omelet. It's filled with bacon, sausage, ham, and American cheese. For my sides, I got hash browns and two pancakes, which is a steal for a $14 omelet. It wasn't long before the food came out, and I crushed the omelet. It needed some salt and pepper personally, but it was pretty good and hearty, especially with the pancakes as a side. The impression from my brother and sister-in-law was that they wanted to come back here often, and I'll probably find myself returning next time I'm in Dallas.
