I couldn't find a specific brow product and asked kim who was working in the makeup aisle. Kim knew exactly what I was trying to find, used the scanner to see if it was in stock, told me where to find it in the next aisle then helped me thoroughly look for it until I could happily put it in my cart! It was just excellent customer service! If every encounter at Wal-Mart was like this, I would shop more often!! read more

I just had a great experience at the optical center! Dr Tim, Anne Marie and Bob were helpful, cheerful, and knowledgeable. They answered questions and even helped me pick out frames, which were affordable as well as attractive. Kudos for making one of my least favorite things to do a pleasant experience. I'd venture to guess that 90% of the employees at this store either don't care about their jobs or are legally braindead. I called this store at 7:30 PM this evening to find out how late store pickup was open. One person told me 9PM. I called again just to double check, another employee told me 10PM. I get to the store at 8:45 and after waiting in line for far too long at customer service, they tell me store pickup closed at 8PM and offered absolutely no resolve for the fact that they misinformed me and wasted my time. Never mind the able-bodied idiots riding up and down the aisles in electric carts, or the orchestra of screaming little children that will accompany your shopping trip here. The godawful workforce at this store should keep you far, far away. Go to the one in NT instead, the employees there all seem to know what they're doing. read more

It's Walmart. It is not a high end department store but they have products that are very affordable. I go there when I need cold medicine, personal hygiene products, make up, and their groceries are comparable to other grocery stores in the area. I do not go during busy hours which is pretty much every single day all day. I go later at night when I can find parking and the store isn't a madhouse. I don't go there for customer service entertainment, I go there to buy what I need and save money. read more

This is the absolute worst Walmart I have ever been to. There is no customer service, and it takes 20 minutes to even find someone to assist you. There is never anyone working and the check out lines take a minimum of 15 minutes. Do not shop here unless you have a solid hour. read more

I normally don't go to this location but when I do it's always something. Today there wasn't any shipping carts available. I asked the door lady (African America, 2 ponytails, blonde/brown hair) if anyone knew they were out of carts , she said "no that's not my job." Unbelievable! So this place gets 5 stars for people watching....its like an indoor County Fair. Parking lot is like parallel universe where no rules or social norms have any meaning. My wife once saw a man "relieving" himself in the parking lot and any sort of parking courtesy doesn't exist. Not sure if you blame the store for that....rather the customers but I'm rating its the entire experience. But its NOT ALL BAD, prices are actually great for the cereals, detergents, Cheezits and the like. I actually don't mind the store....but I have a rule of "get in....walk fast.....get what I need and get out." My wife wanders as she shops and that just prolongs the pain and her annoyance.....she had to once wait 8 minutes at the register for a pissed off employee to walk all the way across the store to do a price check to prove the customer wrong....then the customer tried to pay with a gift card with no money on it (another 10 minute "project"). I find that funny...she did not. In summary go check it out. Prices cheaper (wont get into the the practices on why)....and there's a reason they have a "People of Walmart" website. This girl...won't call her a woman, had a tissue hanging out of her nostril! What the hell is that??? Disgusting. The produce is regularly expired and old, brown and with fruit flies. If you want to use the Walmart section of the store (i.e. electronics and housewares), go for it. But the grocery section is gross. Also, the Subway here is easily the most unsanitary Subway I have ever seen. The lettuce was brown and there were little fruit flies all over the display glass. When I got home and opened my sub, I SAW a fruit fly walking around on my red onion. It was disgusting. The workers at the Subway were all disgusting and filthy-looking. Do yourself a favor and go to a Subway outside of Walmart. I should've known this Subway was going to be gross when I saw that were selling fatty "snacks" and slushies to cater to Walmart's disgusting clientele. All in all, most Walmarts, but especially this Walmart, make me feel disgusting. If you want to shop with obese people who don't understand the need for sleeves... if you want cheap products loaded up with high fructose syrup and partially hydrogenated oils... if you want wilted, old produce that is going bad... if you want to walk around clueless trying to find what you need in this mammoth big box store... then maybe Walmart is for you, but it leaves me feeling sad and pathetic everytime I shop here. The main reason people shop at Walmart is they think the prices are low. One day, when my brother insisted we shop at Walmart because it was cheaper, we did a comparison. We went to Walmart and bought all the items we wanted and then we went to Wegmans and looked at the prices for everything we had just bought. In the end, Walmart wasn't any cheaper. Some items were cheaper, some were way more expensive. Walmart's marketing ploy is to sell some featured items as close to cost as possible to create the perception in the customer that everything in the store is less expensive too. But it's not. In the end, you are just sacrificing quality for the sake of the convenience to have everything in a single store, but not saving any money. Bottom line: Walmart sucks, but this one sucks even more. UPDATE: I started using Walmart pharmacy because they carried a specific manufacturer of my generic pills I wanted. The pharmacy is HORRIBLE. It always takes foreverrr to get your stuff for pick up. It doesn't matter what time of day, the line is always long and the pharmacy always seems to be understaffed and the people there looked tired and frazzled. I've even come after the time I was told my pick up would be ready and it wasn't -- they still had to put it together. Everytime I go, it's a really horrible experience. This store was formerly located on Niagara Falls Blvd across the parking lot from Home Depot. I wish Walmart had stayed at that location. Unfortunately, the demographics of customers and employees have changed radically since the move. Whereas the store used to cater to suburban, middle-class Americans, it now serves poor and, sometimes, dangerous City of Buffalo residents. Practically every day, the Amherst police arrest shoppers for shoplifting, and more serious crimes, like stabbings, have been reported in local newspapers. The store layout leaves much to be desired. For instance, the food section occupies the western part of the store, yet pet food and cosmetics are located at the far eastern end of the store (and it's quite the trek from one end of the store to the other). Prices and selection are good but service is a bit lacking at times. read more

Whether I've gone in for a big shopping trip, to run in quick for an emergency item, or to pick up photos, I've always experienced some sort of problem ranging from mildly annoying to downright irritating. Most of the shoppers here are scummy and have no manners- they just push their cart and barge through wherever they want to go, regardless of whether you're in the way. The cashiers are slow as heck, and the associates are lazy and don't give a crap about the customer. My advice is to drive the extra 15 minutes to the location in Tonawanda- much nicer. read more

I bought a HDTV here after shopping for one for a long time, 42" and it's great and the price was the lowest in the area. The store employee's were very helpful with my decision and even got me through check and loaded it into my car. Love it when store employee's do things like that with out being asked! My 25 year old daughter fainted at this store, and not 1 employee helped her. The customers helped her. They did not want nothing to do with her. And she was inside the store when this happened. A transgender guy ended up helping her, helped her get her purchase in her car, called the ambulance and Walmart employees stood around and did nothing! read more

If you want to have a reunion with everyone you work with, or have went to school with, come here. The only thing this location has going for it is the location. It's in the perfect spot because it's so convenient. Other than that, its not well stocked during those critical times of the month where people run to Walmart to stock up or use their stamps I guess. That mixed with the fact that a lot of the college students come here to clean up shop contributes to the reason why this location is always lacking. I shop here every week for some of the things on my grocery list. The prices for most of the food are great. However, the staff are HORRIBLE. Most of the time, they are rude, cut you off and get in your way and don't apologize or say excuse me.. they leave their "reshop" carts right in the middle of everything and generally ignore customers to carry on their own conversations. The last time I was there, my cashier was very friendly and nice.. but usually that is not the case. However, because of their prices, I put on my game face and suck it up to save some cash. So I'd say if you want to put up with the bs, it's a good place to save money. read more

This is my least favorite Walmart not because of the location but because of the customer service and the lack of product in the store when me and my fiancé went we already knew not expect a frozen section because we've been here before but when we finally got some getting what we needed and went to the front line the customer service agent was rude she ignored us and had a five minute conversation with the customer ahead of us and what they were talking about should of or could of waited till she got home she was having a conversation about laundry and one of their children that was having a hard time at school none of which should of been talked about when there is ten people behind me and we have places to be. The location is known as the ghetto Walmart, not a hundred percent sure why since its not in the ghetto but they do have homeless people who sit out front asking for change Also there's a major bus stop over at this location so their is always people who are standing out waiting for the bus maybe that's why. This place seems to always be out of stock on certain products which is annoying. I was looking for a oil filter to do an oil change and it literally took me 15 minutes to find it since it is so unorganized. They are normally arranged by model number since there is a whole aisle of them. Workers do help you out and walk you to what you are looking for but I just could not get to my oil filter. read more

The staff is absolutely miserable and they make sure to take it out on the poor unfortunate customers who shop there. Be sure to check the dates on the food items, and avoid the salads. Bought potatoe salad today and it was sour, but date stated best used until Feb 2019. Wal-Mart workers tend to leave food on the floor for hours when it needs to be refrigerated. If able I go to the supermarkets that hire polite, professional workers not the lazy type. read more

Love that Walmart is 24/7. I can always come by at any given time to pick up some snacks or fruits. The fruits there are really fresh as well. However, I dislike how far it is from North Campus so I am giving it a 4 star but that's more of a personal thing. Other than that, everything about it is nice.
