I like this Walmart. I think when getting into the parking is kinda weird but then there's lanes when you get closer to the store. They have a subway inside. Also they have an arcade area inside. 12/6/2025 Update: All in all between the shopping experience in the store and the Service & Tire Center attached to the store I'd have to give things a 4.85 out of 5, so basically that's a 5! Lol. Stopped in to get my oil changed. The guys were very nice and they took care of it within 40 mins. While I waited though, I went into the vision center to see if they could fix my new glasses that kept falling off my face. I did not purchase the glasses there, but the kind employee took them in the back and adjusted them for me for free. Very kind! Overall a great experience and recommend. read more

Bought some new prescription sunglasses at the vision center recently. Something seemed off about them so I stopped in today to have them checked. Mike was very thorough in finding exactly why the tire was leaking and I was informed why. The tech who helped with the mount and balance was helpful and professional. Hi, I love this store,and all the employees.They go out of their way to make your experience great!I have an idea to make this store even greater.Too often I see dogs in cars.The owner never sits in a hot car,all windows up for 30 min or more,they don't want to hurt their pet,but don't realize how dangerous this is.When I make a comment to the owner,they snap back at me.Maybe a fully shaded area to park with dogs in cars, w large fans,or air system could be an attractive feature,maybe close to the orange pick-up area,lots of eyes to keep watch.Its doable.As for you dog haters who hate seeing pets in stores,I feel sorry for you,what's the matter,your girlfriend like her pets more than you? Spent nearly 40 minutes waiting in online order pick-up spot this afternoon waiting for my order. Called the number on the sign to check in and give my parking spot number. Anout 20 minutes later after noticing multiple cars that had arrived after me leave with their orders, I asked an employee what was going on. He looked at his handheld and said that I was not checked in, so obviously the person that I spoke to on the phone did nothing. When I gave him my information, instead of hurrying to bring out my order, I was just put in the system in order after other cars, and had to wait another 20 minutes! When I called the store to talk to a manager, the gentleman I spoke to put me on hold, and then the line conveniently went to a never-ending dial tone I have tried to call the store since, and they are conveniently not picking up the phone. Horrible customer service, and they just want to chalk it up to a "system issue". read more

The employees racially profile. I shop here often and they check my receipts every time! I had an older white lady ahead of me and one behind me, had their many items out of bags and they didn't even ask for their receipt. I had all of my items in bags except for one small bag of cat food and they ask for my receipt. Happens a lot. I'm surprised they just don't follow me around the store. read more

Who runs this store? It's absolutely terrible! One checkout lane? Are they going to let me use the employee lounge since I have to to do everything? No one answers the phones. This is particularly true in Automotive. They even hang up on you! Can't imagine what they do to your car if they're so lazy. And suddenly they're produce is horrible. Few items, mostly too ripe. The pharmacy OTC shelves are usually empty or at least the things ppl actually use are gone... you'll pay a little more but Fry's & Safeway are much better except still few cashiers. read more

We have been using Walmart Anthem's "curbside" pick up since before the pandemic and have very much benefited from this free service. Customer service is typically good but today, Julian took his service a step further and we really appreciate him for it! Julian noticed that the pack of bacon he was about to put in my vehicle didn't look right. (Don't know how he came to see this, but he did!) He showed it to me, explained his concern, then, after loading my order, quickly ran back in the store to grab another pack of bacon. Julian showed me the 2 packs side by side and yes, there was something odd with one. Probably just "one of those things" since this item is in our regular rotation and we have never had any issues prior. Seemingly "small" things like this leave big impressions. It showed us that Julian actually gave a damn. Great job! and thank you, again! While we do love the pick up service, we do wish Walmart wouldn't use so many plastic bags. Many times, there are many bags with just one item within. Also wish the shoppers themselves would bring the groceries to our vehicle and we could tip them for doing a good job. Worst than one star. Had groceries delivered when I went outside to bring in, it wasn't my order. Called the 800 number only to wait for 30 minutes for someone to figure out my order. Called Walmart direct and got the runaround. All I want is my groceries , if I was able today to go to the store I would have. This is the second time it has happened, Walmart says once it leaves their store they have NO responsibility. This Walmart has to be the shadiest place I have ever experienced in my life. I recently left my iPhone in the cart and did not realize it until they were closed and I had returned home. I utilized the Find My app and saw that it was in fact there and the next morning I went to Customer Service. I was told that protocol was to put lost items in the safe. However, even though my phone was there and they knew about it, it was not in the safe and only the Assistant Manager knew where it was. It has been 5 days and I still do not have my phone. They refused to call this AM, refuse to help me in anyway and at this point it seems to me that they are pulling some scandalous B.S. and I am beginning to wonder if I am the only victim of these games. I just visited this walmart for the first time and to say the least i'm very unimpressed. The workers were rude and straight up ignoring my boyfriend when he would try to ask a question. In addition I bought some gummy candies that were THREE MONTHS expired and i'm pregnant. Eating those could cause health risks to me and my unborn child. I'm very unhappy and I will not be returning to this Walmart. read more

It was all good until the end, where my wife was YELLED AT by the rude employee who was collecting carts from the parking lot, chastising her for not taking her cart to one of the corrals. Apparently, the fact that she is handicapped (obvious since she had parked in handicap parking) didn't matter, he was determined to have her make his job easier. Clearly he doesn't recognize the connection to him having work to do. Moments later, he was observed yelling profanities at no one in particular, which was even more unsettling for my wife. I'm not a fan of Wal-Mart and I was disappointed when they opened one in Anthem. But I have to say the service here is great. Since Anthem is far out this is an all-in-one shopping trip for everything you need. Since it's a Super Store you can get groceries here too. Organic products/gluten free/speciality items are limited. Seasonal items are great to buy here. We bought a nine foot pre-lit Christmas tree here and it still works and a gorgeous Home and Gardens patio set with a couch, two chairs and ottoman table. I've bought a few plants here too but choices can be limited. Great prices too! They're located just off the interstate 17 next to the Outlet Mall. read more

This seems to be one of the more tolerable Walmarts in the state of Arizona. Most locations are full of the usual suspects. Hey, it's Walmart, so...it's always clean and it's big enough but not super giant compared to others I've been to. Also not as crowded as others. The cashiers are usually friendly and know what they are doing. Not sure what more a person could ask for at Walmart. I like the fact that you are not bombarded by sales people or anyone asking you if they can help you, etc. If I want that (and there are sometimes that I do), then I'll go to a specialty store. With Walmart, I want to get in, get the stuff I need at a great price, and get out without being bothered. Always been able to do that here and it isn't terrible. Stay away from this Subway. Today I watch the manger Shaun treat a elderly lady the the utmost disrespect. She wanted to use 2 coupons I do not think she hears well. She final got the understanding that she could only use one. She ordered her 2 sandwiches . The she jokingly told him he was trying to confuse her, he told her she wasn't the one that was try to use to coupon. She was laughing a little I again do not think she could really hear him. He then pulled her sandwiches back from where he was making them and told he she could go else to order her food. She still didnt realize he was not going to service her. Finally I went up to the very nice elderly lady and told her he was refusing to service her. She was very surprised to hear this. I told Shaun that I did not see anything she did that would warrant not serving her. He was so mad his hands were shaking, he said the is laughing at me! So I ask for their cooperate number. He said if I wanted it I could look it up. I left with the lady as I would not give my business to a company that has no respect for other. read more

I helped buy a smartphone with a Sprint contract at WalMart. The people at Walmart were actually very helpful. I do not have any complaints with their tech department. My cousin who has early dementia bought the phone and needed it for her purposes. Because she is not tech savvy and neither am I, I decided to register the phone, not realizing that I would become the owner. When I discovered this mistake, we went back to the store and the staff did a factory re-set and put it in her name. Eventually she even returned the phone within 30 days. OK, no problem. We are happy. I am from Massachusetts and returned home on the plane. After getting home I found Sprint bills for $85 in my name. I called immediately and they told me that I would have to wait for 30 days to cancel the account. They reduced the bill to $52 at this time. I called later to plead my case and told the rep to cancel the phone # on the account. This was never done and billing continued for another 3 months until the collection agency has my bill on file for $165. I called numerous times, sent a registered letter and talked to many people who asked me a series of questions each time I called and did little else. I was assigned a special case # and told them the experience that we had at Walmart but could not give a time or date for the return event. They never offered to track the data usage on the phone which amounted to one test call. I admit that we had great service buying and returning the phone. We had their staff tied up for quite awhile. My shock is the way that we were treated by Sprint staff over the phone who are lifeless robots attached to a giant cash register. This was a high tech mugging, one of the worst experiences that I ever gone thru. I will not pay their bill and will probably get a lowered credit rating. read more

Customer service was awful.We walked in to find some yeast and we cannot find it so we ask one of the workers and he just said that he didn't know where it was and so we went to an aisle where we thought it was and we couldn't find it so we asked the guy who was working in the aisle and he said nothing and then this man kicked us out because they were closing and he said would you like to get one more thing and we said yes and then we told him what we needed and then he said no you need to get out. read more
