I can spend hours here just browsing through all the aisles and looking for the deals. I always end up finding exactly what I need and more. This is one way to burn through money because I never leave empty handed.

I don't know what no frosting means but this ain't it I specifically asked for an unfrosted half sheet of cake the lady on the phone acted as if I was speaking a foreign language along with the stellar slanted happy bday $50 for this piece

There are plenty of stores along with a food court. There are some name brand stores and some stores not tied to name brands. There are deals regularly, especially around times like Black Friday and before and after any holiday. My wife really enjoys visiting the Outlets North Phoenix, and we'll plan in advance to spend a chunk of a day in the area visiting stores. I sometimes go in with her, and I sometimes take a book and read it outside while waiting for her. There are more than twenty shops at the Outlets North Phoenix. My wife's favorite is the Ann Taylor Factory Store. We also recently visited Under Armour and Rack Room Shoes. There is also a Coach Outlet, Gap Factory, Michael Kors Outlet, and so much more. The Outlets North Phoenix also has its own Cafes at Anthem Food Court, which includes Ruby's Express, Auntie Anne's, Charley's, Famous Wok, Fresca's Mexican Grill, Auto Boba, Pupetto's Gelato, and Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. There are other restaurants a short drive from the Outlets if more sit-down restaurants are desired. There are plenty of sales, discounts, and deals. Each day, different sales are listed on their website at https://www.northphoenixoutlets.com/sales. There are also military, senior, teacher, and student discounts (all published on their website). Be prepared to share IDs accordingly when taking advantage of the discounts. The teacher and student discounts range from 10 to 25% off depending on the store or restaurant. There is also a free Elite Rewards membership with a birthday gift and so much more, which you can find out more about at https://www.northphoenixoutlets.com/elite-rewards. Each store has its own hours though the general hours at 10 AM to 8 PM daily except Sunday when it is open 10 AM to 7 PM. Other amenities of the Outlets North Phoenix include an air-conditioned food court with free WiFi, resort-style seating, and flat screen televisions, restrooms and a mother's lounge area, complimentary wheelchairs and stroller rentals, covered parking areas, curbside loading and unloading, an outdoor, shaded children's play area and splash pad, pet friendly service, electric car charging stations, vending machines, "Things to Do" brochure center, and more. I hadn't visited this outdoor outlet since Covid hit. PreCovid is when the shops were multiple and busy. If you walk along the perimeter of the outlet, you will find many businesses to shop. Unfortunately many of the storefronts inside the corridors are empty now. There are still enough businesses to do some damage and keep one busy for several hours. There is a small food court with plenty of seating. The restrooms are available only in the food court area. Overall, I have noticed that Marshalls has gotten more expensive, but still a really good value here. I also love that there's an entire section for HomeGoods that has so many unique items. I also love that I can shop for myself, my husband, and my son all in the same store. They also have a wide selection of beauty products that are brand name for a fraction of the cost. You do have to dig a little bit in the beauty section, but you can find some really great products. Occasionally, there will be a long line at the checkout, particularly on the weekends, but the line goes really quick and there are a lot of associates available to assist. I also love that they have a measuring tool in the furniture section that are complementary. They're usually about 3 feet long and it helps to make sure that the furniture fits in your home appropriately. They also have a section for you to put furniture on hold if you cannot pick it up right away. I also love that products are constantly rotating, and there are always new finds every week. The only thing is if you are thinking about buying something, buy it right then because it could be gone and does not get restocked.

As we were browsing, I couldn't help but notice two men walking back and forth through the aisles without picking up anything, just casually passing by multiple times. It didn't feel quite right, but I brushed it off since my brother-in-law buys shoes for my sister all the time, so I thought maybe they were just shopping. We continued through the store and headed toward the kids' shoes section. While my back was turned to the rest of the store, we picked out four pairs of sandals. While shopping, I casually spoke with another mom about the size stickers being missing-marked on the shoes, and she was thankful for the tip. Then, we moved on to the kids' clothing section. As we were looking through pants and shirts, I noticed two teenage girls in the teenage clothing section, not moving for at least 30 minutes. They were completely absorbed in their phones. Then, the two men I had seen earlier appeared again, this time walking toward the girls. The four of them started talking and looking at my daughter and me, all while staying glued to their phones and staring at us. I wasn't comfortable, so we quickly moved to a different section. By now, my gut feeling was telling me something wasn't right, so I placed my daughter back in the cart and headed to the front registers. I told the cashier that I was feeling uneasy and wasn't sure if they were stealing or causing some kind of issue, but I didn't feel safe with them staring at us. She reassured me that they had been watching the group and suspected them of stealing. We decided to head straight to the back of the store to look for more Easter decorations, but as I turned to look at my cart, I saw two additional men standing around, staring at their phones, not looking at the shoes or even trying anything on. One of them even yelled to someone else, though I couldn't hear what he said. My anxiety spiked. Within moments, one of the Ross employees--there were three of them total (only women no security/emergency button etc) approached me and said, "Ma'am, I want you to know you're being followed in the store, and we've been watching them awhile." At that point, I was shaken to the core and immediately decided to leave. As we approached checkout, all three employees gathered around me and my daughter. I called my husband, who was just minutes away. I was in such a state of panic that I couldn't think clearly. The employees kept saying this was the first time something like this had happened in the store, and I couldn't help but wonder why Ross didn't take more action (call police, 911, something to potentially save a life) I called my husband again, and the employees asked where he was. I told them he was on his way. Then, this elderly woman started approaching me, trying to calm things down, saying, "No, no, no, don't call the police. My son is autistic. He's weird, he's always weird I told him to quit acting stupid, then shifted the blame on the Ross employees saying - How dare you treat me this way, we did nothing." (I'm sorry you do not speak about your autistic child this way) The employees had to physically push her away and tell her to leave. They also mentioned that she refused to leave despite being asked several times. They had nothing in their cart nothing to check out so why did they show up how at checkout. I never saw this elderly lady in the store was she the look out?! The most disheartening part is the way Ross handled the situation. They claimed to be unaware of anything unusual going on, even though they had been watching the group for some time. They have a grievance and compliance line, but when I spoke with the assistant manager, she claimed to be the point of contact, which I now know wasn't true. Let this serve as a reminder to all parents: stay alert, trust your instincts, and always be aware of your surroundings

This is long, but I hope a manager reads the issue I start to explain in the second paragraph. I…read morethink it warrants discussing with employees for the future. I do really like the Anthem Safeway. I appreciate how their inventory is always pulled forward on the shelves, so I don't have to do bend-and-squats to see what's left of a certain item. I like that it has a great selection without being the size of a football field, so I can run in and pick up a few items without it taking the better part of an hour. I find the produce department always well-stocked and fresh. And the help in the seafood department is outstanding--no matter who waits on me, they're willing to make sure I get exactly what I want in the weight I need. BUT, today I was shocked at something that happened while I was in the self-checkout line. It was busy in the store and all the lines were full of people waiting. No big deal--after work/before dinner time is usually busy. I was waiting in self checkout; two people were in front of me, and other people were starting to line up behind me. But rather than block the main aisle, the people "behind" me were lining up on either side, making a "T." They were keeping track of who was next, and we'd even chat a bit about how busy it was. Then a young woman, talking on her cell phone, came and stood behind me. The older gentleman on one side of the "T" very nicely explained to the young woman that he was behind me and that the line was formed on both sides. It was obvious to me that he was being nice, thinking she didn't notice how the line was forming because she was so engrossed in her call, and just didn't want her waiting, losing her potential spot in the line. This woman--I have no other way to explain this--literally "went off" on this man. She was screaming at him telling him to mind his own business, that she can stand wherever she wants, and he's lucky this wasn't two years ago because then she'd really be "up in his face" and he'd really blah blah blah. She was dropping the "F" bomb right and left. Everybody heard her; you couldn't NOT hear her! Everyone in self checkout was trying to ignore; the 8-10 people in line at the service counter were staring; and the poor gentleman didn't know what to do. I felt bad, but I didn't want to say anything to further agitate the woman. I wouldn't normally take to Yelp discuss my concerns with Safeway, but the service desk was super busy with a very long line. So I tried calling the store three times once I got home and could not get through. (A couple of times, after the call processing went through all the numbers for me to dial for different departments, no matter how many times I hit "8," it would say it didn't get my response and then revert back to the beginning!) It was, at the least, disconcerting to have a woman standing behind me screaming profanities while I was checking out. At the most, quite frankly, it was a bit scary. I believe an employee should have immediate summoned a manager to remedy the situation or ask the woman to leave.
