Of the three Fry's around this area, Fry's Dove Valley is my fave. On 03/21/2026, while shopping at Fry's, Dove Valley, we found the weekly ad and the posted sale signage below an item to be confusing. We asked the first store clerk we found for clarification and they couldn't advise on it. But a cashier got the front end manager, Edie, over to help us, and talk about customer service! The WiFi never works here and there is usually no mobile phone data here so the Fry's app never works. This means the grocery list that you spend time doing in the app before you show up isn't available when you are doing your grocery shopping. Very frustrating. read more

I like this Fry's a lot!!! It's massive one of single largest. Fry's I've ever been in. If it's not here they probably don't have it.. also it doesn't hurt that it quite literally 3 minutes from where I live. So as far as convenience goes it's way up there plus it stays open late which is also nice and there is a Fry's gas station right next door. Which means you can take care of your grocery shopping and get gas in one stop. It's well lit and everything is easy to find. Which makes the experience that much nicer. Plus there is covered parking so don't have to stand in the sun baking as load up your groceries in your car. read more

Even from a business standpoint, shoppers are very motivated to buy at a discount and I'm sure if they could put it in one of the warmers out in the aisle, where the other chicken is already. That much more chicken would be sold instead of having to throw away pounds and pounds of chicken day after day hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of dollars each and every single night. I loved this Frys when it opened up. Yesterday I went in and was reminded why I avoid this Frys now. Please remove your barriers when walking in. It makes me feel like I'm walking into Walmart. Every time I go to this Fry's the staff seem so unhappy and to get an actual bagger is a struggle? If I'm paying $350-400 for my groceries then I would expect to get a bagger. If I'm the bagger I should get a percentage off my groceries. Also, the cashiers are very unhappy people. I'll just head to the Anthem Fry's when I do my large grocery shopping. Wow why can't we have grocery stores like Fry's in Canada?! This place is massive! They have everything from clothes to cosmetics to toys to seasonal, grocery, produce, and even a wine bar!!! The staff here is absolutely the friendliest and most helpful staff! They say hello first and ask if you need help. We bought all the snacks, beers, and even some gifts here. The one thing I really like about this location is that it is less busier than ones in Scottsdale. What I don't like about this location, is I feel the produce and cheese selection isn't quite as nice as some of the other locations in North Scottsdale. Depending on what I need, sometimes I just go with this location as I find it is easier to find parking, get in and out. Frys at Dove Valley 85085 is not that old of a store. Why are carts so dirty, I dont believe they are ever washed. They have enough cart attendees why can management take a few of the carts to the back dock and wash them with a hose . I LOVE THIS FRY'S! The customer service is excellent! The store is big, well stocked, awesome parking, organized and clean! My parents recently moved to AZ and I was so excited to take them shopping here. There were several scooters available /charged for my father to use. Hey-they also went back to the AWESOME pharmacy and got their Covid shots! The pharmacist was so helpful and kind! We had to transfer my parents info and he was very knowledgeable about my dad 'a medication and their Covid shot. He was fabulous and my parents were happy that they are in good hands! Right when we walked in the front door we were greeted by a nice gal that said welcome in. My mom was looking for this type of thing bc she had been going to her grocery store in another State for 40 years. Allison at customer service-AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE-you are right where you should be! She taught my mom how to use her app and if she wanted to use her hopper card. She explained how to clip certain coupons! MY MOM GOT IT! She is in her 80's and she was having so much fun in Fry's. This was all bc of the kind lady who greeted us, Allison, the pharmacist, and Nicole who checked us out. Nicole was AMAZING AND KIND! We had a lot of groceries with 3 carts and my dad on a scooter. She got us all checked out! She was very fast but had her eye on the pricing! She had a great personality and was great at her job! The young man sacking was very efficient and patient. All of our stuff was in perfect shape when we got home-nothing smashed. All of the sales and clipped coupons rang up! They even had buy 2 -12 packs of soda get 3 free! Not even a clip coupon! Just on your reward card! I have never seen a store have a sale where you get more free then you buy. Yes!!! Of course it was a huge perk that the store is a beautiful grocery store! There is a huge covered parking area-nice for hot, sunny days! I give this Fry's only 5 stars bc that is all provided! The worst customer service I experienced by the people closing this shift tonight. I made sure to check the time this frys was closing and it says 11pm on maps and they told me I had two minutes at 9:58pm and said "in and out because they were closing". And to "run" . My husband was parking the car and they didn't let him go in to find me to help me when all the heavy things I had to rush to get. They made him wait by the entrance and told him he wasn't allowed to go in? I made him come help me once I got near the registers because I was carrying cases of sparkling water and beer for a party we were headed to and he apologized for not being able to help me sooner because Delaney scolded him. So at 10:03 we checked out and they told others parking to go in that the "website was down" but they are actually closing at 10 not 11pm. I just thought it was super unprofessional of them to be rude and not let my husband come in to help me. Every other frys in the city closes at 11pm so please make sure to update these terms on EVERY map or google listing. read more

This was the worst Fry's I've been into we usually shop in Vistancia and never have a problem. Sunday afternoon they have 1 checkout person with a line down the aisle. We were forced to use self checkout with $300 worth of groceries. Then one of my items didn't scan, and I knew which item and the employee decided she wanted to take all the groceries out of my bag to count them, even though I told her what was missing! I'm spending a large amount of money in your store I'm not trying to rip you off for blueberries. This location sold gift cards that had been tampered with. I bought a $200 Mastercard gift card and as soon as it was activated all the money was drained. Store said that they would take down all the M/C, VISA and Target cards and was aware of the scam but they refused to give me a refund. Not even store credit. Other give cards that were purchased at Walmart had the same problem but Walmart gave a full refund. read more

Today, Feb. 2, 2022, my wife and I did our monthly grocery shopping at this Fry's located at 2800 W. Dove Valley Rd. We were checked out at approx. 2:31 pm, by a cashier named William. William was fast at checking food through the bar code scanner, so my wife went to the end of the counter to assist the woman who was bagging our groceries. When my wife began helping, the woman that was bagging, left and went to another checkout line. I was paying for the groceries and requested cash back. A screen came up as I was finishing my transaction and wanted to know if I would accept the 50 cent charge. I was a bit confused and wasn't certain what the charge was for, so I asked William what the charge was. His reply was "That charge has been here for four years - where have you been?" That was it, he didn't tell me what the charge was for, he just kept on checking our groceries through. So, I pushed the button that indicated a "no" I would not accept the charge. Well, that cancelled everything and William said we'll have to start over, so I did and this time I accepted the 50cent charge after deducing on my own that the charge was for cash back. My wife and I also shop at Safeway and they don't charge for cash back at the checkout. By now, our groceries are piled up at the far end of the counter and my wife is working as fast as she can. We are both seniors and don't do things as fast as we could when we were younger. I then begin assisting my wife in the bagging process, while William begins running the next person's groceries. William didn't life a finger to assist us with bagging before he began checking the next person. My wife and I are both going as fast as we could. I felt William's performance was rude and insensitive. He couldn't or wouldn't tell me what the 50 cent charge was for and he was evidently above assisting a customer with bagging groceries before he started checking the next person in line. I hope that management is concerned enough with this employees behavior and attitude, because at a minimum he needs an attitude adjustment. My wife and I usually enjoy shopping for groceries at Fry's and I would normally give the store at least a 4 star rating. But because William's behavior and attitude was so poor, I'm giving the store a 1 star rating. read more

Every time I've gone to this store I've had to deal with at least one rude person. The people working here truly seem to hate it. But a recent trip to the bakery to order my sons cake really tops the list. When I went in, the lady taking my order seemed to be new. She wrote the wrong order number and I had to correct her. I ordered a beautiful dinosaur cake with green and purple frosting. I got... well I'll include pictures. I even went in two weeks before I was suppose to pick up the cake to make sure everything was right. What I got was so unbelievably different than what I ordered I can't believe this is legal. It's false advertising. The girl who took my call after I got the horrendous cake sounded painfully inexperienced and told me she was sorry nobody expressed they didn't have the volcano... volcano?! NOTHING about the cake I received matched the cake I ordered. When I wrote customer service I got zero response. Do not order cakes here. They false advertise beautiful cakes and make the ugliest cheapest version whoever is decorating feels like putting together. They couldn't even bother to keep the ugly screen print non wrinkled or centered. This is fraudulent. And they shouldn't be allowed to do this. What a joke. read more

I frequent this Fry's on a regular basis and typically do the pick up options which is great compadres to the in store checkout process. When I go into the store is typically when I do my largest trips which are typically anywhere from a $350-$400 bill. Every single time there is no bagger in my lane but there are baggers in lanes on either side of me, and every time at least one of the lanes has 4-5 items but the bagger never steps over even though they can see the full load of groceries that need to be bagged. I'm not sure if this is a 'rule' they are expected to follow or if it is just their laziness, which is what I have observed but trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. Either way, if I am going to spend that kind of money, I expect someone to bag my groceries if they aren't busy, otherwise I will jump in and bag em myself to get our quicker. So frustrated every time I go and lately this is consistent behavior and situation. Sharing this review in the hopes their leadership reads it and starts to drive this message home. read more

I love this fry's for a variety of reasons. For one, the grocery store is big. Secondly, the parking is great, variety of spots. Thirdly, the staff is really mice. An example, I came in for sushi, and they did not have any available, which is fine because they were in the process of making some. I was patiently waiting for the staff to put out the sushi. The gentleman, asked me what I wanted and told him. He then said we will get it done in a few minutes. I bought that was super nice of him. I wasn't in a hurry or anything. There are not enough cashiers. I have encountered this problem numerous times. Tonight at 5:45 - busiest time of the day, the store was packed - there was ONE check out open. A wandering employee came up to us waiting in line and said that she would help us check out through the self service checkout but I had a lot of stuff so declined. Really, what's next? - they want us to stock the shelves for them? When I asked why there weren't more registers open I was told that two people called off. Really? That's the customer's problem? First I knew there would be an issue when I heard the lady walking out saying "well he can wait!" After about 10min I get a phone call from the lady who is less than 100' from me. She said I need to be in the pick up area, I explained what vehicle I was in and that the pick up sign is right next to my truck. She said "oh I can see you, you need to be on the other side of the sign or I'm not bringing it out". For this they got to to keep the order and I'll never shop at a frys again. I love this new Fry's sooooo much! It's very convenient, has a gas station for all of our reward points, and good selection of meats and other items. They even have a bar! Still on my to do list though. My wife really knows how to shop the deals and collect those Fry's fuel rewards. So worth it for those of us who drive a lot. Of course there a couple problems that exist at times such as long lines, but they have expanded self check out and even a program to check out as you pick items!
