I don't usually leave reviews, but this experience was bad enough to warn others about Walmart Supercenter. Picked up a honeydew and a pineapple, thinking it was a safe, simple purchase. Nope. When I got home and cut into the honeydew, the bottom was badly bruised and starting to go mushy--clearly not fresh. Then came the pineapple... completely disappointing. It looked fine on the outside but had almost no juice and barely any flavor. It's frustrating to spend money on fruit that should be fresh and ready to eat, only to end up throwing a good chunk of it away. Feels like no one is paying attention to the quality of produce here. Definitely makes me think twice before buying fruit from this location again. read more

I love the Walmart deli and hot food counter. The employees are always so helpful and friendly. I always get the ranch wings. The are so good. Always seasoned to perfection and so darn crispy. I have been buying them for years and will continue to do so for years to come. Such a great snack to tide me over until I get home to cook a meal. read more

We went to this Walmart for the second time and I am still amazed at how much better it is than the Walmart in Cary. This store is much cleaner and has so much more stock than the Cary one. So many more choices in every department. The prices are better too! When I shop I compare prices, and on many items, this Walmart is cheaper than the Cary one. Another plus, there are more lines open here than the other store. There are self service areas at both ends of the store. There are employees stocking everywhere to you look, so I saw very few empty shelves. Amazing. Produce here is better too and cheaper than the other store. It is worth the drive from Cary to Apex to come to this store. read more

The pharmacy here is absolutely terrible. When we go in to pick up our scripts each month, the pills aren't ready for pickup about 90% of the time Good luck calling the store pharmacy, it just rings and rings. This has happened to us on numerous occasions. My husband spent 20 minutes calling this afternoon to see if his meds were ready (after his surgery) and no answer. My husband had surgery this morning, his surgeon called in the pain pills yesterday so they would be ready TODAY. The prescription said PRIORITY CRITICAL, but I guess that doesn't matter to the pharmacist there! Nobody answered the phone, so we went in. Of course the meds weren't ready!!!!! Nothing says fun like having to wait around the store for 10-15 mins for them to fill your order after having a surgical procedure. The other frustrating experience I had with them was a few months ago, I had been visiting family in FL and needed to transfer my prescription back to NC. Someone at the NC Walmart said they would call the FL Walmart. I went in a few days later, of course the script wasn't ready. I had to go home, take the time to make the call and then come back. The young woman with the brightly colored hair was pretty rude and refused to help me straighten this out. Avoid!!!! read more

Terrible law and prevention officer, we're shopping around with my friend and happened to have a backpack and without any warning or knowledge they called the police and had us escorted out when we were just walking around and I didn't even open my backpack once. I can't really complain about any Walmart. I find that this store is not as crowded as the Cary store. We can't today looking to replace our truck battery that was under warranty. Online inventory showed that they had (multiple) our size in stock. NOPE !! Not a single battery in the size we needed. Not sure if it's because of the pandemic hysteria or what. Just kind of annoying........... This store is usually well stocked and clean. Well, as clean as a Walmart can be. There is also an on-site McDonalds. Love their ice coffee. I personally do not shop here because of the horrible customer service. They are always rude, nasty and slow. Not to mention the array of sociopolitical issues associated with this company. I had to come here today to return a dozen eggs, of which 9 were cracked on the bottom. I would never buy anything here but my other half stops here in a pinch (Why!!!). I arrive to a line 15+ clients long with one cashier working. I, as the last client, in line had to stop an associate who was working to put back discarded items (and ignoring the ever-present line) and ask her to get someone to help manage the line. She rolled her eyes and looked around as if she didn't know what to do or who to get. I then suggested for her to get a manager. Suddenly, 3 managers/supervisors appeared and managed the line after a panicked frenzy. I ended up completely returning the eggs and taking my money elsewhere. Never again! Stay away. read more

I went to Walmart today and during self check out I notice there was a bad stink smell , and I realize the smell was on my hand ... found out it was the tray of chicken wings . It smelt like straight up rotten meat x 10 . I had to ask the employee can he please refund my money and as he walked over there he smelled it as well and quickly cover his nose with hjs shirt. It smelled so bad he didn't even want to touch it and asked me to walk over to put it in a bag and replied you need to go wash your hands in the ladies room. I don't know why I. Even came back to this store because I had a similar accident with meat over a year ago. Now I am Home and realized the smell has gotten on some of the other food I purchased, and have to wipe down packages , and noted that the bacon I brought date has expired as well ... smh . Large selection of merchandise and we got more than we needed. All was fine with a cart full of items, including storage tubs for dirt cheap, over the counter health supplements at half the price you'd pay for name brand, some groceries and a dreaded pair of leggings in clearance for $1. Never buy anything because it's only $1. The price didn't ring up correctly and no CSM answered multiple calls from our cashier. The poor cashier couldn't or didn't know how to get out of this screen. The CSM finally arrived and yep, no way to do anything until he finally decides to show up. So if you're in a hurry do not shop Walmart. When our tubs came out twice the price marked--we said Oh that's not true we have the sticker. Thankfully the CSM hadn't left the register. And we are dashing out of here in hopes of not needing to return anytime soon. read more

This is my go place early in the morning because it's easy to get in and out. I love the peaceful shopping experience also I think the staff is more polite and helpful in the morning everyone greets you with a smile and good morning no matter what part of the store you are in. Maybe they need to adopt this model throughout the day as well. I also love the chicken sliders that they only sell in the morning, 1.50 works great when you need something quick on the go. read more

It is full of stuff and things to buy, but it lacks actual workers at times. I realize the management is trying to keep expenses down; however, there needs to be personnel to help in departments and check people out. The worst area is the photography and electronics area. At times I have pulled out my phone and called the store to get help. went to their Vision Center yesterday and was told that there is NO Dr. at all and they don't know when they'll going to have. She, the Optician proceeded that the Dr. abruptly quit without prior notice,.nice thing to tell prospective customers. Just shows Walmart Vision Center does not know how to handle their employees and vendors needs. For a Dr. to quit with no notice tells so much about this firm. So we decided to just purchase the glasses that our daughter liked to bring to another eye Doctor, however, she said that we could not do that either because we have to have our daughter's eyes checked and order it with the prescription, though we were clearly told that there was no Dr. in the house. The shelves are well stocked, the prices are reasonable, the place is clean and bright and the service is usually quite friendly. I don't find myself waiting in long lines very often, even when I stop by after work. The produce could be fresher at times, though. The zucchini and mushrooms often look like they've been out a few days too long. read more

Yesterday I shopping at Apex Walmart looking for Cactus Potting Soil. The man in the garden department didn't even know what it was! I found a sticker on a shelf with abbreviations that appeared to mean Cactus Soil located right next to the Cactus Food. hmmm... I asked the clerk if they might have some in stock and he used a scanner to check the sticker. He told me they had none, but Holly Springs location had 6 bags! Wow, I was happy until I went from there to Holly Springs Walmart and found they also had none. That location's garden department told me that "you can't go by what the computer says!" What??? Why do they even use that if it is inaccurate? The check out clerk was very unfriendly and acted like she hated her job. What I do love about the Apex Walmart is the selection of items in the store. I like shopping at this Walmart because it's clean and not too crowded, I was surprised today by the lack of cashiers. There was 1 opened register. 11:00pm about closing time and there's only ONE cashier?! No self-check out available. There was a huge line of people, no other workers around to complain to. I called the store number right after the 11:30 closing-soon announcement to let them know about the situation, but there was no answer. So disappointed and upset! I work for postmates and I got the ping that a pickup order was ready here at Walmart in Apex,NC and the guy proceeds to come out and tell me its going to be 30 mons before the order is ready... So why did they notify postmates it was ready if it wasn't?? Then the guy leans on my door like he owns my vehicle after catching an attitude with me. Every time my husband and I come here to pickup and order there is a issue. Ridiculous. My advice if you are going to order your items online... Do it from some other Wal-Mart other than from this one. Horrible customer service and none of the employees know their heads from a hole in the ground. Doesnt matter where you go, all Wal marts are awful. This one is a bit cleaner than Cary. If you have more than one child, be prepared. There are no two seater carts that I could find. I asked 2 associates and one could not be located. It was not busy at all. This is very very annoying. Its not safe to put kids in the cart part, plus where to put groceries?? This is hand down the worst Walmart I've ever set foot in. Their frozen foods section is stocked very poorly. Wither they do not have many products I want, but the organization and facing leave a lot to be desired. I avoid this place like the plague. read more

They have a lot out dated products they don't rotate. lines are so ridiculous they don't have self-checkout the shells are always missing the products. Store manager so rude she doesn't care about the customers. Clean store, but it's still a Walmart. Meaning rude employees (almost always the case) and always understaffed - leading to lonnnggg lines and probably why employees are rude in the first place. They need to have more people working during peak hours to alleviate stress on their poor workers which ends up taking an unfortunate toll on the customers as well. I avoid this place altogether & go to Target. Cleaner store, friendly employees, & great deals with clearance/store sales/coupons. read more

We almost never go here because it is so frustrating waiting in line! They have almost 30 registers but never more than a handful open. Target down the road is much easier to get in and out of, and the prices are about the same. read more
