November 17, 2025. I visited the Apopka store to purchase the TCL 98" television advertised on Walmart's website for $998. An associate kindly assisted me with placing the order, as I am not very computer savvy. She created a reservation for me, and I received a confirmation number; however, she mistakenly submitted the order for pickup at the Princeton Walmart. When I pointed this out, she canceled the order and created a new reservation for pickup at the Apopka location. The website confirmed I had four days to pick up the television. On November 17, I returned to the Apopka store to pick up my order. Although I had the confirmation on my phone and showed it to multiple employees, I was repeatedly told there was no record of the order in their system. The associate whom had been present at the original reservation acted as though she had no knowledge of the order. She went to check the back room but returned saying nothing was available. Instead of helping resolve the issue, the situation escalated unnecessarily when this same associate called security on me, despite the fact that I was not violent, threatening, or disruptive in anyway. I was simply frustrated and asking for assistance, as I had documentation showing my reservation. A male security officer in civilian clothing and a female uniformed officer responded. When I asked why security had been called when I had specifically requested a manager, the associate stated she would "get in trouble for calling a manager." I arrived at approximately 4:45 PM and did not receive any meaningful assistance until almost 7:30 PM. When the manager, Raul, finally arrived (and I want to emphasize that he was extremely helpful and professional), he quickly located the television--proving it had been in the store the entire time. He recommended that I complete the purchase in-store to avoid further complications, which I reluctantly did out of concern the issue would otherwise repeat. Furthermore, the website continued to show the item as in stock at the Apopka location, even while several employees insisted it was not. This indicates either poor training and communication or, more concerning, possible internal misconduct such as reserving high-demand items for others. The experience was unacceptable. I have been a loyal customer since moving to Florida in 1998, and I have never encountered anything like this. I spent nearly three hours waiting, had security called on me without justification, received conflicting and inaccurate information, and ultimately lost out on the online warranty and installation benefits due to the mishandling of my order. Because of this, I incurred financial losses: Extended Warranty: Online price was ~$63 for 5 years. In-store, I was only offered a 4-year plan for $99 -- a loss of one year of coverage and $36 in cost difference. Installation: Online free, installation was included (approx. $129 value). In-store, it was not available, and I had to pay $130 plus tax out of pocket to have the television wall-mounted and for the total cost out of pocket. This is one of the worst Walmart supercenters I have ever been. Now, yes this is a normal Walmart as always however, every time I buy something that is on clearance, please explain to me why it is used, I do not have a problem with used items however they clearly are not checking what people are returning back. Bought a steamer that was on clearance, by any means it was not cheap, only to open it and discovered that it is dirty and crusty and missing pieces. Again bought a sander from here, also not cheap at all. Only to discover that the inside of the box was sandy and dirty, and the tool itself was disgusting and covered in muck. Why are the employees not checking the inside of these boxes and these tools?, Why do we as customers have to open the box to find missing pieces and dirt inside of the box. Shopped here before Christmas. There were many employees available to help. The store was pretty organized even though there were many shoppers cramming in the last minute shopping. The sales were fantastic. I found a lot of Gator shirts for the entire family on sale! Always worth an extra Star! I also found a pretty awesome sweater for my dog. Good service in the oil /tire department: Oil changes are available at this location. I went for a visit as there was a need (oil light came on) and with this visit I over heard a person coming in for an "appointment" for tires. I question if they took appointment for oils changes and was told they just started but didn't have any available for today or tomorrow so I waited. With 7 cars in front of me the wait time was about an hr before my car went in and I was out very quickly. They had like a 2 person team on my car and those before me. Staff was courteous. They also checked other items on my car without me needing to tell them/ ask to make sure everything was good and put air in my tires to make sure they where they were suppose to be for the road. If you see a lot of cars it might not be as long as you think.. read more

I went this morning to Customer Service with my receipt and a garden hose purchased 6 days ago. The hose unfortunately was faulty. It was out of its package, had some water still inside from its obvious test run. Customer services refused to help, and even when I said can I leave it with them as it was useless and trash I was told to take the hose out of the store to dispose of it myself. It's always had luck if a product is faulty but I was completely taken aback by the attitude and the end result. Since Covid started we had not been to this Walmart as its always crowded. But wanted to buy a 2 stove burner and only Walmart had it in store at a good price. Went there around 7am Saturday morning thinking there will be less crowd. For a Sat morning...there were a lot of people. But still better. They had attendants near the carts outside pointing you towards clean carts. Once we got inside saw an officer standing. Not sure why. Masks are compulsory for everyone. And everyone was wearing it. The store looked pretty clean. We got our product and headed towards the produce section. There they could use a little bit more cleaning. Also they don't have much organic produce. The staff was very helpful. And they were doing a good job of stocking up shelves. They already have lot of Christmas stuff and various deals going on. If you want to avoid crowd, go at an odd timing...maybe on a weekday. read more

It's 10:30AM on the Friday before Thanksgiving and there is one cashier on duty! Oh, and did I mention that several of the self checkout lanes are out as well. The store is full of Walmart employees Stocking the shelves and personal shopping for customers but only one cashier. When I ask one of the many employees standing around at the Money Services counter one of the employees says, well there's a manager also checking people out. To which I replied, so just the one cashier then? She replies, it isn't my problem. That's the point where I left my cart full of product and walked out. Oh... and that one Manager that was ringing people up as well in checkout 8... she has six employees standing around watching her! We do our grocery shopping at this location most of the time and so far our exp has been pleasant. Hours of operation are very convenient.

I stopped into the store to purchase deli ham and brioche buns for a quick hubby meal during his twelve hour work days. The clerk at the deli counter was super duper slow. There were two other customers in the line one being served when I arrived. I must have waited 30 minutes or more before being served. After serving the customers ahead of me the clerk cleaned the machines, counter and put away various items as if the counter was closed. The customer behind me left. As I was standing there I checked into Yelp. I was eventually served and made it a point to complete the Walmart survey to express my frustration. I'm sure the retailer would want the clerk to provide more prompt service based on the survey questions. read more

Just lost 45 minutes of my life I can't get back! Sit back for a long post! Purchased a TV 4 days ago but was given a TV yesterday as a gift. So of course I don't need 2 TV's. Walked in to do a simple return. Little did I know I would be treated as a thief!! Customer service agent said she could only return to my card because I had no receipt and "Did you buy it? The alarm tag is still on it" Really?? I HAVE THE RECEIPT!! What about that you don't understand. I want my refund in cash. According to your policy, I need a receipt to get a refund. Called the manager who said only if I present the card used, can I get cash. She then looked at the TV (pictured) and said .."Put that money back in the drawer! You have a receipt ma'am? How did you buy this TV and the alarm tag is on it? We have to go look at the video. Something ain't right." Is she kidding me? At this point I'm beginning to lose it. So I decide to text my brother to ventilate. ( Which helped me keep my composure, but I'm ). In the meantime they're taking customer after customer and I am very disgusted at this point. Someone please help me see the point!! I have an unopened product, receipt in hand and ALL I WANT IS MY MONEY!!!! Soooooo, another customer service person returns and says "Security says since the tag is on..it MUST be card only! What was the purpose of looking at "the video" (which of course I don't believe)? So I ask for the manager which brings me back to the original person I was dealing with. Somebody please get me off this merry go round!!! I remind her of what her original statement to me was..."If I show you the card, I will receive my refund as I ORIGINALLY asked for. After this, she takes the TV and my receipt and disappears . 5 minutes later the person who went to check security, shoves a receipt at me and says ."Sign this". She then pushes money at me and walks away. How rude!! I tell her how disrespectful that is by not handing or counting it out to me as she rolls her eyes. I return the $100 bill to her letting her know I'd like 20's. She changes it dropping the money on front of me. If I could give minus 100+stars, I would. The worst experience I've ever had. I know I'm only one person and it probably will not make a difference to them but I will NEVER EVER GO TO THIS WALMART AGAIN!!!! Went to Walmart today to get my prescription refilled. The staff at the pharmacy was friendly and helpful, she told me it would be a 10 minute wait and it was 10 minutes exactly. My medicine was in stock and the refill went smoothly. While I was waiting I went to buy produce and I was very disappointed. They barely had anything in stock. I couldn't believe that many fruits were out of stock. The lines were also outrageously long. Pharmacy was friendly and quick, store was for the most part clean but produce was disappointing. I was at the Walmart in Apopka today and they remodeled by staff still has the same miserable non helpful attitude In toy department they had 5 pk of Hot Wheels there were 4 pks on hook price 1.98 well that wasnt price it was 4.95 when I said to toy staff member the tag said 1.98 she rudely said well its not the temp help doesnt know what they are doing and puts thing in wrong places. The experiences I've had with customer service at this Walmart have been atrocious. I'm glad this is no longer my closest super center because it's one of the worst ones to shop at. They recently renovated so the inside looks newer and cleaner but that's the extent of what's good at this location. Management is severely lacking and the employees here seem to forget they are getting paid to do a job. read more

This is massive Walmart Supercenter located close to my home and honestly, I don't use it that much as it's a pain to find enough people on the floor to help you out when trying to find things. Also the thing is its very massive size means items are located really spread apart and frankly I get tired walking up and down the long aisles, only to turn around and have to walk down another long aisle to find shopping items. So if you don't mind getting a workout while shopping and have some free time, this Wal-Mart is definitely for you - but if in-and-out is your standard, this place will be frustrating. However I must acknowledge it's not all bad - I'm grateful they are open 24hrs, because I have gone here shopping at midnight the night before T'giving and been able to snaggle the last bottle of mustard(!) I'm also a fan of their sleepwear section - I've found Disney/ Marvel pajama sets at very good prices. I like Walmart's prices but dislike just about everything else about Walmart, including the long lines, limited selection, and the lack of caring customer service. In these traits, this Walmart is no different. However, this Walmart differs from the Walmart in Mount Dora in two main ways. First, I find it generally has more plus sizes or at least more plus sizes in stock. Second, the shoppers are generally more blue collar, more diverse, and more friendly. The times the Mount Dora store has lacked plus sizes in an item, I have successfully found the item in the needed sizes at this store. Walmart has excellent prices on cheap seasonal t-shirts. My issue tends to be finding sizes for my entire family. This store has more options in 3X. If I can't get friendly staff, then I will definitely take helpful, friendly customers. We need to stick together. I have both asked a fellow customer for assistance and been asked for assistance by a customer at this store. I've also encountered more friendly customer smiles and had more friendly conversations or comments while waiting in line or passing in aisles. This makes a more pleasant experience overall. read more

To whom ever is reading this. My experience today at this Walmart Supercenter was very embarrassing. I spent an hour or more shopping for my family who stayed in the car to avoid COVID-16 (Coronavirus). Let me first say, I am a military vet, honorably discharged. I am an African American with clean dreadlocks and I dress very mature - not thuggish - not homeless looking - but clean. I could never forget how TERESA, a Walmart self check-out employee treated me. This is the second incident I've had with her in one month. The first time she stared me down, I handled it professionally. Yesterday, the second incident, things escalated really quick. I had at least 200 dollars worth of groceries. I was halfway through my check-out when I noticed my fiancee, in the car, had given me the wrong atm card. I could feel Teresa eyes on my back but I decided not to make any eye contact with her because I will be offended by how she makes me feel like a thief during self-checkout. Keep in mind, when I self-checkout - I always double check and make sure I scanned an item. Moving on, I called my fiancee and she brought me the correct card. As she started to approach me from behind, I turned around. TERESA, Walmart employee, was in her way looking over my back. I knew it. I felt the discrimination the last time, that is why I did my best to avoid eye contact - so that I will not feel offended again and things escalate. My fiancee said, "damn you are all over him". I had no idea she was discriminating against me so badly. Seeing how TERESA was in the way of my fiancee, angered me. Teresa and I exchanged words. I reminded her that this was her second time discriminating against me. She claims to be doing her job but no - this lady is discriminating against me and very aggressively making; me very uncomfortable as a loyal paying Walmart customer. I told TERESA that, if she continues this behavior, I will do my best to make sure she does not work there any "f@cking" more and that she will be fucked up (meaning: she will have no job at Walmart) She said, "don't threaten me. I clarified and told her I was not threatening her person - BUT - her job, I was threatening. She got quiet. I continued checking out my groceries that I spent an hour or more gathering. 5 minutes later around 7:45 pm (Wednesday April 1), as I am checking out groceries, Officer Miller approaches me saying that I have been TRESPASS and had to leave. I was a bit startled. I had no idea she had summoned the police. I did not have a chance to talk with customer service. The Officer was very rude to me. I was embarrassed. I could not ever tell my side of the story. He didn't care. I was exhausted from all the shopping and now this? I had so many groceries. The card that my fiancee brung to me was EBT and took care of the first 60 dollars. I paid and bagged those up. The officer allowed for me to continue my purchase. I was so embarrassed. People were looking at me as if I was a thief. As if I was a problem maker. I was the victim. I called my fiancee to come back into the store. This time, she bought my two daughters and my newborn child. It was her decision not to pay for the rest of the groceries. I understood. I was already moving slow due to a truck hitting me off my motorcycle two years ago. I am still recovering. Long walks, like the one around Walmart shopping, fatigues me. And now, I have an officer requesting my identification - in which I respectful declined to give him. In conclusion, there is a pandemic going. It is sad that I have to travel to another Walmart because an employee offended me. I was TRESPASSED and told not to return. I will do everything in my power to make sure that TERESA no longer works there. If she does this to me, I know she does it to other or maybe to all Black people she see at the Walmart self-checkout line. I do not recommend any Black people to go to this Walmart. They will racially profile you and do not care if you take offense. They will not offer customer service to you or even call the customer service manager to see what's up. They will call the police on you, and we all know once the police is called on a Black man; there is no talking with them - no matter how educated that Black man is. On another note, the police officer began to put gloves on when he first arrived. Officer Miller was not respecting the 3-6ft rules during the Corona Virus outbreak. He has put me at risk for the virus being so close to me. I felt so powerless, but I know that I am not powerless. My next step will be to notify corporate and then reach out to a lawyer to see if I can recover damages from this unfair incident. I am not mad. I am infuriated. I have come to this walmart hundreds of times in the years I've lived in the neighboring community. I have ahead some bad experiences and some good. Tonight is by far the best experience I've had so far. It's Christmas Eve's eve, and a gift I purchased earlier this week I found was broken when I went to wrap it today. I came to the store at 10:00 pm to return it and get a new one and was met by a security guard that said the customer service desk was closed. as I explained the situation to him he pointed me toward a woman named Cindy. Cindy is the customer service manager, and agreed to return my item even though the customer service desk was closed. She was happy to do the service for me and several others that were there with me also. this kind of customer service is what all Walmarts should be like. Cindy said she has been working at this Walmart for 24 years. Somebody in upper management is doing a great job by placing her in the customer service manager position. I asked one of the ladies in a yellow vest if she could open another register and I was told I can only work with what they give me? This is terrible customer service. Well, what can I say? It's a Walmart, you know what you're getting into before you go in. I tell my wife to remind me to never come here again, but then I do- I should call her first, though! In any case, I only come here when I am looking for something specific. I find what I need and make a beeline for the registers- and that's where it all goes south- the lines and the idiots. I guess I'm one of the idiots as well. One little trick that works SOME of the time is to use the Garden Center register, there are usually less people. Prior to the pick up option I had completely stop shopping at Walmart but I enjoy being able to order and pick up my groceries quickly. I call customer service they refuse to answer, call the front desk and it rings until it can't anymore. Once I do get someone they tell me my 8am delivery didn't happen and they aren't sure when it will in the next few days because they are 2,000 orders behind. The good thing about this Walmart is that it opens 24/7 which I really appreciate. The bad thing for me is that there is always a huge line at check out and usually 2 or 3 lines open only. And if you go late night there will be only one line open despite there being many employees around. One time I made a 45 minute line late night to get only 4 or 5 items. The parking lot is always full, but that is understandable due to the fact that this is the only Walmart in Apopka. Prices are great and good service. read more
