OK, have to give my disclaimer. I hate Walmarts. I hate them. I hate their cheap goods and the rich Waltons paying low wages to their employees, blah, blah, blah. But, that aside, my spouse LOVES Walmart, so that's where we shop for groceries. Big sigh... This Walmart is relatively new (about 5 or 6 years old, I think). It's kept up relatively nicely. The bathrooms are kept relatively clean. They do offer limited organic produce. There is a wide selection of groceries and health and beauty items. I can't say much for the clothing. Blech. But, otherwise, it's pretty good. They usually don't have horribly long lines like some Walmarts. Overall, I would say pretty good. read more

Went Christmas shopping here; what a waste of my time. Very long lines, with only a few checkers. So while the management knew it was Christmas, they were either unable or unwilling to staff for it. The staff that I had questions for had limited knowledge of the items they sell; and in fact a limited knowledge of even what they carry. I know that there are good deals to be had for everyday life. And I appreciate them employing many who might not be able to hold down a job elsewhere. But I won't waste my time when looking for electronics, toys, etc. in the future. read more

We went into Walmart before a movie to just kill some time. We had a hour to kill so why not go get essentials before. There was one person ahead of us in line. It took us 30mins to stand in line and leave cause the cashier was way chatty! I'm all for a good convo but complimenting everything that this lady had in front of us was a little too much. This is for the grocery delivery. They did not show up. Driver told them that he knocked and no one home. Untrue. 3 customer service calls and told different stories each time. Told it would be delivered again and AGAIN a no show. Finally talked to Manager who would still not deliver my groceries. They have my money pending a refund. Hence for the next couple of days they have my grocery money. Safeway isn't perfect but WAY better than this. The attitude was it was my tough luck and my word against the driver. Do yourself a favor and do not use this service. Wasted my whole day and without grocery money for now. PS: I asked customer service rep not to call me sweetie and she wanted to argue that it was ok because she was from the south. So am I, and I never use condescending terms. If I could rate this place 0 stars I really would. This Walmart is TERRIBLE! The employees are very rude and don't want to help at all and it's really hard to track them down. I went in a little after 10 and the cosmetics area was closed. Okay maybe I can ask an employee to quickly go in and grab what I need cause I knew exactly where it was and what I needed. I asked an employee and she didn't even bother to look at me. I asked and she was talking over me to another employee and then she rudely said "no it's closed" and I was like okay then another customer asked if they can get into the alcohol area and get some alcohol. She rudely did the same thing to him said it was closed but she would let him in.... I was frustrated. This store has no one on the registers at 6:00am. I stopped and asked the employees to get a manager and they gave me a whole bunch of excuses as to why there was not more than 2 registers open at the time with both of the customers before me having a ton of items to Check out. don't go here to buy your electronics! i was just here less than an hour ago trying to buy a computer with my father. we picked out the one we wanted and when we asked an employee if we could look at it he said no, "you have to buy it first before you can look at it" his EXACT words. the boxes the computer was in were all tied together so you could not move a box out to look at the writing on it (what was included). This is my second experience with auburn Walmart. There was an item on clearance and price for an off season item was tagged very low so I decided to buy all to save some money. When I reached to billing section. The lady talk very rude and start arguing that it's by mistake this price was tagged instead of $4.50 it was tagged 0.50 so we can also read and charge as $50 now I ask for supervisor she went to check the price and ignore me and went on side. Associate again start arguing saying if technically she want to charge she should charge $50 for each item with a rude way. Now I ask for manager. A lady introduced me by the name LESSA without listening me ask me with rude attitude to leave the store and said she don't want to sell anything to me they don't want to discuss anything with me. "I am the manager of the store you can do whatever you want to do, I don't want to sell anything to you" pretending this is there personal store and I was asking something free. I just came from this Walmart where I bought $45 worth of groceries. It took me thirty-six minutes to do my shopping; it took me forty-eight minutes to get through the cashier line. I know this because I checked the time with the intention of writing this review when I got home after I had my normal shopping experience. This IS normal. I have NEVER spent more time shopping than I do checking out. The only reason it took thirty-six minutes to shop was because I was waiting for a manager on two separate occasions. Once at the deli where the employee charged me the wrong price per pound, and the other at the pharmacy where I was also overcharged. As I waited at the deli, a manager walked by and the employee tried to get her attn. She either didn't hear her or ignored her so I caught up to her and said, "Excu..." that's as far as I got. She replied, "Nope" and walked off. I hope Federal Way Walmart is better because after a year of this one - I am done. read more

I try to avoid conducting any business with Walmart in general, and every time I give them a chance to redeem themselves, they fail once more. I submitted an order to pick up at this store SPECIFICALLY because I could pick up said item at this location. 4 hours after I create the order for pickup, I call the store and they tell me it normally takes 4 hours to grab a box and put it from one part of the store to another. Pick up in store is the only way I shop, ironically for the certainty of the transaction, and places like Best Buy always come through. Just before I'm about to head to this remote location, I get a text saying that the product "in store" is going to be delayed for 4 days. What in God's name is THAT? I had an amazing experience at this Wal Mart. I have been heavily abused with horrifying experiences at the Renton Wal Mart. So I heard on the radio that this Wal Mart was really great, so one day when I was in Auburn to get my windshield fixed, I went out here. I mean, talk about a crammed, small Wal Mart full of toxicity, abusive employees...but the AUBURN WAL MART IS AMAZING!! The staff is incredible. They care about their jobs deeply and it is obvious to me. SELECTION? WOW! INCREDIBLE. EVERYTHING you would want. It is beautifully kept up. The store is beautifully laid out with room through the aisles. The selection is incredible. Traci is a lovely woman who was stocking in the cosmetic area and she was engaging and helpful and it was really obvious that she loved her job. Then, I met Robin in the makeup areas with the body washes, etc., and she was awesome and positive as well and helped me fin the product i needed. Then, I met Mary and Mimi up at the front end and I believe Mimi was the cashier, and they were wonderful too, and super positive. I am a tough customer b/c I have been in customer service for 28 years, but I am so amazed and impressed with this Wal Mart. I will drive way out of my way just to have the amazing experience here. read more

I had just moved to the Auburn area. I can honestly say that this Walmart is ten times better than the Walmart located in Lakewood. I needed to get a prescription transfer and filled at the pharmacy, it took less than 15 minutes to get everything transfer over and filled. All three guys who helped me (guy who did the transfer of medication, the pharmacy checker, and the pharmacist had all been great. I couldn't have been any more satisfied with their services. I went in at 2:30 am to buy some Nicorette gum. I asked Dylan, customer service manager, if someone would unlock it for me. He said yes and called for someone to go to the Nicorette Gum. I head there and wait. I played a couple of games on my phone, checked the time and realized 10 minutes had passed. I head back up to the front of the store, I see Dylan and he looks at me. I say "I'm still waiting for someone to unlock the Nicorette gum." He replies that they don't "sell it this time of night." I tell him it would have been nice if someone had told me and he replies "I didn't know where you were." I say "I was back by the Nicorette gum waiting for someone to unlock it." He replies again "I didn't know where you were." I called the corporate office, the lady was nice and said they would forward this information to the store manager. I doubt it but it made me feel better just to vent. Then I called Walmart and asked to speak to the Manager. A woman finally answers, she is talking loudly in the background like I am on speaker phone. Her voice is like she has smoked a lifetime and just put out a cigarette. The woman says "What do you want?" I reply "To speak to a store Manager." She says "I am the store manager." So I proceed to ask her about the hours of selling Nicorette gum. She says "anything that is locked up cannot be purchased after 10:00pm and before 6:00am." WTF? Your talking Nicorette gum which is in a cabinet in the middle of the health aisle. My advice to shoppers is call this Walmart before going there after 10pm and before 6am to make sure what you want isn't locked up. After all, some stores have their baby formula locked up. Advice for Dylan, when your customer needs something unlocked they will be waiting there. They won't go grab some other things they need and come back later assuming you unlocked it and left it unlocked for them.
