Today was the first day I did grocery Pick-up, and it's was packed due to the system being down but I had an extremely POSITIVE experience! Associate DAWSON helped me with my order and went above and beyond with customer service. I saw him literally running from car to car to Manually check in everyone and his friendly demeanor exuded through his mask! He was unbelievably professional, kind and diligent. I placed an order for pick up and although they never picked up the phone an employee came out (Mya) and asked for name on the order. They're was about 4 cars waiting for their orders, she went to all the cars and within 5 minutes tops she gave everyone their orders! Ive never given a review for walmart , ya know because walmart is just walmart . you get your stuff for cheap and go. This visit i parked in the automotive center @6:45 am to be the first in line to purchase 1 I repeat ONE tire replacement. I checked in my car and keys and the associate said it would be 45 min. At the most. Ok cool ill do some shopping grab mc donalds for breakfast. @7:50 am i go back, my car is still in the work station. Reminding yall that i was the first person to check in for 1 ONE tire. Not to mention they never have tires in stock just the high end brands, I had no choice. I paid 122 with tax out the door for 1 tire on a Sedan. I figured get it done because i had a dr appt @ 8:45 a.m time is money. It really ticked me off because i advise the associate prior that i didnt want the 10 dollar rotation. What did he do?? Add it on anyway at check out. I said to him that I bought 1 tire what are u rotating? Im sure that 10.00 only covers rotating on tires purchased from walmart , right? You have to buy 2 to rotate. Anyway the gentleman behind me demanded they take his vehicle down. He actual left he came in for oil change. Another gangster from the eastside made it his business to take up for the associate behind the counter in regards to the wait time talking shit. I was thinking stfu go to the walmart on the hill. Then right after that yet another guy threatened to leave because again over an hour they had not even drained the oil. They convinced him to stay and calmed him down. But one of a technician had the nerve to come in and tell the associate to tell the customers its 2-3 hours regualrless what is being serviced... Um wth??? They are open 7-7 . so how many cars are getting done at a rate of 2-3 hours ???. Walmart needs to step it up a knotch because i wont spend that amount of time at the Dr. Visit Let alone for 1 tire replacement . Major staffing issues over worked, underpaid.But then again, you have to expect to be busy on a Friday. So i spent 1 hour and 10 min for 1 tire replacement being the first customer arriving at 6:45 a.m. before they open. Walmart Sucks . just to think i just got approved for a private label card. There was everything I was looking for in a grocery place and MORE- including a large variety of specialty items for people with a specific lifestyle (in my case, gluten free). One thing a lot of people don't tend to utilize is the fact that Walmart does match prices to other stores. I liked it. It was large, clean, bright and had this store seemed to have a lot of selection. I was with a mom who of course is always on a budget more or less and was able to get her girls some really cute shirts on clearance for $3 each. Not sure where else you can find that. Lots of household items to be found, grocery (so much frozen stuff though) home and there is a garden center. My friend had a rather large order but the cashier maintained his wits about him and took it all in stride. The lot is large and parking is easy. So ordered my groceries at 11:08 am for a 5-6pm pick up. I live an hour away so I took off at 5, halfway there I get a text saying they're a little behind. No problem I can run and get some food with my 4 year old. At 6pm I arrive and check in. They look up my order saying it's not ready, "no shit when will it be?" It's currently 720 and I've been asked by 6 different people what my order number is with no update. My 4 year old is having a fit but I need groceries. This Walmart is absolutely the worst one in all of Bakersfield...do NOT go here unless you want to be completely ignored and wait 5hours for your pick up order. I'm not exaggerating in the slightest. I waited five hours and no one would answer me or acknowledge me or update me. Then when I finally got the order, they forgot 14 items!!! I only got half the order. I've given them numerous chances. They do NOT care about the customer at all. They are complete and total assholes and the whole store needs to be shut down. Have shopped here since they opened. It's Walmart, it's always packed, it always has long lines. But where else can you buy food, beer, ammo and a tv all at the same time! Today was extremely different. The GM of the place walked over and put me into a line that had no wait. But honestly none of the lines where that bad. Against my better judgement, I went to Walmart today. Place looks nice since the remodel. Lots of staff present. Got almost everything on my list. Got to the checkout lines and was blown away. Six checkers open, all with five or six people in line. No one in any kind of hurry. No one opened a new register. Five staff members stood around admiring a toddler in a pink convertible. I waited in line for 25 minutes. No one opened a new register. It was painful! Won't be going back anytime soon. read more

What I'm about to say regarding Walmart's employee on Gosford Road in Bakersfield Ca comes from a tough stem of disappointment; tonight at 8:19pm. I brought in a slip and slide that only cost us $12.99 plus tax approx a week ago. In the Bakersfield heat, we decided today to set it up for the boys to enjoy but discovered there was a defect in the slide not holding air. We decided to run it by Walmart as we were going there to get other household items, keep in mind, we never walk out without spending at least a couple hundred dollars worth. As I approached the customers service department, there were two employees that apologized stating that the return department is closed. I was immediately bummed out about it because I didn't want to reload it back in my car. So I decided to just park it in front of the department so I can join my wife shopping and I said to the two employees that you guys can keep it because we have no use for it any longer due to the defect. As I started walking away, another employee (CSR) yelled out and said you can't just leave that there. You need to take that outside with you. I then said to her, I have no need for it and repeated what I said to the other two employees. She seemed very aggressive and adamant that I follow her direction as if I were an employee. I ask why she couldn't just have someone take it and throw it away then. Needless to say the conversation got heated more so when my wife arrived to the seen. I'm sure you all get the just. This individuals name is Miriam. Well at least that's what name she gave me. She was inconsiderate, unapologetic about being closed, she conducted herself with an inappropriate behavior that was extremely negative, I certainly would not tolerate or condone the way she approached this situation as a GM. I am in hopes this message reaches him, Mr. Jason so that he knows how his employees respond to the public in this type of manner, especially someone who plays a role in leadership. This is probably the best Walmart in Bakersfield with their selection and the population that shops here. I mean every Walmart is busy and this one is too but if you come in the mornings it's usually manageable. I like to do my grocery shopping here because the prices are great. Great Walmart location. Well lit, very clean, and items always in stock, for the most part. I always come here early in the mornings, in order to not deal with crowds. The employees at Walmart are super friendly and professional. They are always smiling and helping when needed. One of my favorite places to shop. I've been shopping here for many, many years. I hate Walmart with an unbridled passion and would rather walk 20 miles barefoot to the nearest Target than ever, EVER willfully shop at one. That said... I have been dragged to this location a few times by friends and it isn't that bad. The parking lot is spacious and if you go early on a weekday morning there is a real lack of irritating people and mess inside. It's a lot cleaner than what I was expecting. The Walton family could get more rich quickly, and the customers would not be piled up 6 or 8 deep at only two checkers. This is about the store this is about the service center for vehicles. I brought it here once before because I was satisfied with the price but they never turned off my needs service late. So I've had it on for months until I've come back to do my service again. This time they took out my lumbar support in my driver seat and did not replace it and then they said that it was never there nobody touched it.. i've had herniated disc's in my back and it was there when I brought it to the service department. I never drive without one because I have to drive long-distance is to Los Angeles and I need it there. I was in that store so long I don't want to go back in and re-purchase another one so I guess I will just be without for awhile. I like how things are "no one's" fault. These things cost anywhere from five to $12 so I'm not too worried about the money. But what if this was something else that they took out of my car and didn't replace that was very expensive??? This Walmart is HUGE and even has a bakery section which makes it feel like a real one stop shop when it comes to convenience. I come to this Walmart pretty often considering that it's pretty close to my house and it's usually an okay experience. The overall store is maintained, clean and organized especially considering the fact that its a Walmart :p. But today we went to buy a few things (literally had 5 things in my cart) got in line and the cashier came up to us and told us to find a new register because his was now closed, we had already been in line for a good while, so we go to the next register over and that cashier told us that she couldn't help us because she was closed and wanted to go home already....yes we understand we do too lol. Being someone who worked her a couple of years ago, I can say this is by far one of the best Wal-Marts in town. I know a lot of customers that live down the street from the Rosedale or Panama one, and drive to the one on Gosford. The associates for the most part are willing to help and don't give attitude at all. During crowd rushes, there are usually enough cashiers to go around and if not, managers jump on the lines themselves which is very rare in retail in general! Most of the merchandise is also upkept well, rather than being a big jumbled mess. read more

If you're like me and you LOVE Target with every fiber of your being, but find yourself occasionally needing to take a trip to Walmart, this location is definitley your go-to. Of all the Walmarts in town, this location is the cleanest and doesn't have a ton of "People of Walmart" customers. (Google it, haha) This location is about the closest you're gonna get to Target without actually going to Target! :) This Walmart is open 24/7, but beware: all of the isles are filled with boxes of inventory after 10pm-ish, so I wouldn't reccommend doing any full on shopping late at night unless you have to. And, it's still a Walmart, so YES- there will be 10+ people with FULL baskets in each check-out line, but only 3 or 4 check out lines. Prepare to wait! read more
