According to the Manager Emili no returns on gift cards even though NO WHERE in the store it states that nor in the policy paper they have. I was like okay then I'll just use it. As most know this department is very busy and many items are locked up which requires assistance from an employee. This Saturday afternoon he was working by himself. There was a huge line, he was ringing people up as well as unlocking items for customers to review just extremely impressed with this young man and how polite he was under stress. Can't speak for any of the other departments but I went to the Deli area to get a Hickory Farm's Summer Sausage (it's sort of a hidden product when you try to find it on the Walmart website, http://www.walmart.com/ip/Hickory-Farms-Smoked-Summer-Roll-Sausage-10-oz/19766104 ) and ended up leaving with a Kaukauna Smoky Bacon Cheese Ball in tow. Martha was the employee giving out samples in the Deli area when I went in. Having no luck spotting the summer sausage myself, I enlisted her help and was immediately directed to the correct item located to her left lol. Anyways, she was really nice and I got to sample some almond crusted cheese ball, a white cheese and ham. The cheese ball was tasty and I really liked the ham, sadly I did not ask which brand it was. I ended up buying the last smoky bacon cheese ball, apologies to the young lady who had come back hoping to grab one too, nice girl. Checking out was easy, would've been an overall happy Walmart experience but my cashier looked scared of me... huh... anyways, quick check out, got what I went there for and got to try a new product I ended up liking. Worst first online experience ever! Bought a TV online for pick up the next day. Comes next day and, when I'm supposed to pick it up, they send me an email saying they are delayed. Ok, no big deal. An hour later, my order got magically cancelled!! They sold my TV to a random person and didn't even offer a shipping option on a later day, which I would've been ok with, but obviously they couldn't care less. You would think it's an inventory issue, right? Wrong! Here's the cherry on top: Next day, I get an app notification that the item I "liked" is in high demand and I should hurry to buy it online so I don't miss out ... worst customer service and web / app integration ever, but no more. My experience at this walmart is terrible, My husband is retired and gose every morning collecting toys for his grandchildren so we always are one of the first to arrive there and first in the store .There is always a Manger who rolls her eyes when we ask about a product or says right away we dont have it before we can ask her name is A Toy manager maria in Baldwin park, I don't see the problem when we are there to buy and first people to get the item. The first person to respond didn't have the proper key, so they left to go get it. After waiting several minutes, that person never returned. Below one star. Walmart in Baldwin Park has to be the WORST overall. Associates are sooooo, soooooo, soooooo dense. The store has a thousand associates and not one can help in one department. It takes half an hour to get a damn key to open one of their cases. It takes 4 associates to tell someone to get the key. This Walmart is so horrendous I wish i could complain about the entire store and associates to the Walton family and express how much this store is full of feces. Just keep in mind that this is a Walmart in a not so upscale area. Don't be expecting much and you'll be okay. I primarily come here because it's down the street from me. Everything is cheap. If Target had the same prices I would have gone there instead, but it is what it is. Highly recommend checking everything you buy. Make sure no seals, lids, covers, etc. have been opened. That has happened to me a few times. The last thing you want to do is to drive back, go to customer service, and return a stupid, opened mayonnaise jar. Also, avoid going there late at night. If you do, park in the well lit areas. I have seen shop lifters stealing tvs, homeless people begging for money, people selling stuff (tamales, toys, chocolate bars, etc.) in the parking lots, etc. Like I said. Went to this wal-mart on saturday night to buy a space heater. We got there, parked within seconds, and went into the store. We went straight to the heater section, and the heater we wanted, there was only 1 left, and it was opened already. We picked it up, walked around, did a little shopping, then went to pay. I asked the cashier, if there was a discount for open box, he said YES!!! Gave us 10% off...nice guy. Went to buy ibuprofen and found it locked up. I went to the pharmacy for help. They told me to push the button over the locked cabinet. I went back and pushed the button. A very nice young man came to unlock the cabinet. I showed him what I wanted. He took it out of the cabinet, and when I went to reach for it, he pulled back and told me that I had to follow him to pay for it at the cosmetic department. What a hassle! Just for ibuprofen? That store is broken down into several mini check out sections. Like an indoor swap meet, you have to pay for electronics in the electronic section, you have to pay for camera supplies in the photo department, you have to pay for skin care products in the cosmetic department, now you have to pay for ibuprofen in the cosmetic department. They make you feel like a common thief when they insist on walking the product you want to purchase to a certain register. Anyway, I wasn't done shopping so I told the nice young man "Never Mind" and I came home and ordered my ibuprofen from Amazon, along with some vitamins and a few Christmas presents. I got free shipping and I received my order in two days. Good job Walmart. Good way to lose customers. read more

This Wal-Mart location is great in terms of merchandise options however they seem to have difficulty keeping every day merchandise in stock. The also decided to do away with the 20 or or less lines so it is no longer worth it to go there when you only need a couple of things. You could easily end up standing in line for 30 minutes for a couple of items. Forget running in there for some beer or wine!!! Whoever thought it would be a good idea to get rid ood the 20 items or less lines and add more self checks should be fired!! That did absolutely nothing for the store's aesthetics because it looks horrible and it does not really benefit the customers who want a cashier. But wait, it saves the company money huh?! I don't want to self check I want a cashier to ring up amd bag my merchandise. On that note, most of the cashiers are as slow as molasses, rude or think it is ok to express their political beliefs on you while they are ringing you up. (Maybe I should self check afterall huh?!!) On 1/06/18, I stood in line and watched as cashier #006311 took 20 minutes to ring up one customer, then she did not greet me once she started my transaction and to top it off, she wasn't wearing a name tag. SMH..... Dealing with the bakery/deli is a whole other conversation. But I will say the chicken is delicious and the sandwhiches are a great deal. Worst Customer Experience Ever. Didn't want to take my return even though it was in perfect condition. According to them the manager makes their own decisions independently to other Walmarts. The Manager didn't want to take the item because it was a holiday item. The explanation given to me was that they are trying to get ride of their items not accumulate more. WTF! What kind of professionalism answer was that???? No where in the receipts or their policy states Holiday items are final sale. Neither were their a sign next to the items. I don't remember the lady that helped me with the water dispensers but she was awesome and her and another employee helped me get a water bottle from the very top shelf. I came in here to buy a DVD set. Well, some of the DVDs were damaged (how I don't know). I went to exchange for another and we (I and the return customer service rep) opened the new one together. This one was damaged as well. There were no more of the same item on the shelf to check and exchange for. I asked what they can do considering this was not my doing that their items are damaged (BRAND NEW OFF THE SHELF). He (the customer service rep) could do nothing so I asked to speak to management (which were these sad face disappointed with life looking type) and they just gave me the runaround saying; "Oh, well because of copyright laws we can't do anything for you." I was not asking for my money back. I was just asking if they could possibly order another to exchange the damaged one for (a REPLACEMENT). They just kept ignoring the situation and basically did not want to "Deal With Me" (the CUSTOMER). Interesting how I call corporate and they tell me that management should not have handled the situation that way and they can override the situation due to their items being defective, hmmm. More proof that they were just trying to avoid the situation all around. Now I'm just waiting to see what Corporate can do about the situation. Hopefully they can just refund my money so I can go elsewhere because this situation was mishandled from the very beginning. One thing is for sure whatever the outcome may be. I will never shop at ANY Walmart ever again. It's pretty sad that when you think of Walmart you think of the WORST store on the planet (I know I do). AVOID THIS PLACE! I called three times today and no one was able to help me. First time in the morning my call was transferred, no one picked up he call. I figured it's holiday season and they're super busy. I get it. But I called the second time and the same thing happened. I literally waited on the phone 18 minutes. Called a third time with same results. No one picked up my transferred call and after 6 minutes, I called it quits. Since I can't get help, I'm not picking up my order. Of course, I don't know this area, but think I'm in luck because my new roommate lived here for the past 20 years. I call the RM and get roundabout directions to the WalMart from the first exit I saw as soon as I see the WalMart. [Two illegal u-turns were made during this trek.] On my way out, call the RM again because the damn Google maps shows "continue on Big Dalton Ave". Huh? I'm so confused. Where the heck is Big Dalton Ave? I see Marketplace Drive. But the RM doesn't know where I'm at either. "Didn't you live here for 20 years?" "Yea....but I never drove around in West Covina. Can you get back on the freeway?" "I don't know...does Pacific lead to the freeway?" "It should." "Do I go East or West to get to West Covina Parkway?" "East." Ugh. The RM was wrong. I end up taking the next exit, calling my dinner buddies, and cussing at DG in frustration. Sorry DG, and thank you for not getting frustrated with me. [Two more illegal u-turns were made during this trek.] I don't like getting lost trying to drive 2 miles to a restaurant, in 90 degree heat, and I didn't turn on the air conditioning because I was running low on gas. Do you see my frustration now, people? ;) Wow...that was quite the rant. I guess I should review this WalMart now...... It's freakin' huge! It's a SuperCenter, so I guess it's supposed to be huge. They've got groceries and everything! (I've been to one other WalMart like this, but that was WAY before the Yelp days.) It was also surprisingly clean and organized. I didn't have any trouble getting in and out of any of the aisles. I suppose I got lucky on a Wednesday night at 7:30pm. 10 minutes in, I've grabbed my boxes of $1 brownie mix, $2 bags of candy, $0.20 crayons, $2 construction paper, and $2 coloring books and I'm off to the self-check out. $20 later, I feel like I'm doing a good deed by donating to the kids in Africa. 4 stars because all WalMarts should be a SuperCenter like this one. read more

I was just there..why? even though the last 2 times I came here I said I would not come back...I usually shop at target but because I was in the area and need supplies and milk I thought I would give it one last chance..Big mistake! Huge! This place has absolutely the worst customer service ever!!!!!! I used 3 coupons totalling a saving of $1.50 and they treated me like I was a criminal. The cashier kept arguing with me that I needed to buy two items as the coupon stated and I told her I did...we ended up emptying all my $100 worth of groceries and supplies out again so she could see with her f*ckin blind eyes that I purchased 2 of the same items..all that for a measly $0.50 coupon. This also happened to me last time I was here...This place is horrible...I've never had coupon problems shopping at my local Ralphs or Albertson...and I am not even a big coupon user! The staff are untrained and uninterested in helping anyone...they are constantly too busy gossiping with each other...I had to wait for two of them to finish their private conversation to ask where the goddamn construction paper was---by the way, back to school week and 4 aisles of the school supplies looks like a hurricane went through it...couldn't find crap--and what I couldn't find didn't belong there with the wrong prices. But this store I walked in about 9:30 pm and started shopping for just a few items before I could put something in my car some one else grabbed it , not a big deal right? My friend who has issues walking..so she get a little car to go around store.. at the same time another couple walks in and was going to get car as well..so my friend offers the car to the couple n i see a employee riding around in one..so i go and ask her for it. She looks at me like im crazy.. i go after her cuz she literally drives off. I ask again and tell her that we need a car.. she says nothing still then she says well ive had surgery yesterday. .. Long story short she never gave up the car. The couple that was looking for car felt bad n left walking around but u cud clearly see the lady was not able to move around that easy...
