Typical big store, predictable hit and miss staff, inventory, and general disarray of trying to find items slightly swapped around from other locations I am used to. Payless and Fresh Thyme are the much better options not only for easy shopping but supporting local growers who provide much better quality produce. Walmart continues to hold back decent pay to its staff, add to the insane food waste generated by ignoring proper expiring food discounts and discolored fruits and veg, until that changes I got to tell everyone avoid and shop anywhere else where there's some access like at Kroger to help reduce waste and make good use of good farmer products. read more

I've been visiting this location for nearly a year now and have swiftly grown to love it. It's convenient and most recently today, I needed a new laptop. After pondering a few retailers, I decided on Walmart, Brownsburg, IN. Upon reaching the electronics department, I was greeted & assisted by "Michael". He was one of the kindest, knowledgeable, personable associates I'd interacted with there. I appreciated conversing about general life things. Just because he's stationed in that department, doesn't mean that would be all he knew about. So not only did I get an incredible laptop at a good price, there was talk of fishing, cooking, hiking, health & family etc. Great use of my time. read more

Perspective is everything and even though this store has a low average rating, they came in clutch when I needed them. It was the day of my daughter's graduation open house and the bulk of my decorating hinged on helium balloons. I had purchased a helium tank from Michael's for $38.99 and it wasn't working. I pulled up to Walmart in a frenzy and was able to purchase the same tank (same amount of helium) WITH string and balloons included for $28.88! The one from Michael's cost more and came with nothing....it didn't even work! Did I mention that Tony the Tiger was in the parking lot doing a public appearance?! Had I not been running around like a chicken with my head cut off an hour before our party, I would've taken a photo with him. Believe what he said about Walmart.....They're great! read more

Store is clean. Customer service has been great. I have been going to this Walmart for years. It is worth driving out of my way to pick up groceries. I recently reached out to management because my daughter was doing a Girl Scouts community service project at the humane society. They were very helpful and generous which allowed her troop to accomplish their project. read more

This Wal-Mart is very bright and clean, and is far more attractive than a lot of older locations. Parking is ok, although I sense that the employees take all the good spots up front. The management here obviously has talent. The cleanliness, brightness, and attractiveness of a lot of the displays make that clear. Someone very competent is in charge of clothing, as everything is in order and looks great. The electronic section likewise is in good shape, while tellingly the toy area isn't a mess. The employees seem to be working hard when unsupervised. One even said hello to me, a real Wal-Mart rarity. The problem here is the food. Vegetables on a Monday afternoon are blown out, as is the meat section. Huge holes all over grocery, and the displays include many near empty spots. Freezer has same issue. Come on guys, have some cojones, order way more for the weekend, and put someone in charge who fill up the shelves and coolers. I used to not mind going to this location because it was close. However, I find that I would rather travel to the Danville location than keep going to this one. Ever since they remodeled a few months ago nothing is in any kind of order. The stock of their products have gone down and the shelves are always empty and in need of restocking. The employees seem to really hate it here and don't seem like they are happy with the remodel either. It used to be That you could find things easily in the store if you needed a quick run in. Now they have screwed up the parking lot with 14 spaces for grocery pick up and way too many handicap spaces. It really is a disappointment being that this is the only other grocery store in Brownsburg. read more

It's Christmas Time and I must confess, My review for this walmart is just like the rest, Understocked shelves missing items I need, I soon found myself headed to Meijer ..indeed! If you are shopping in Brownsburg, IN Walmart better watch out for prices. Last two month I was often in this Store and always something had labeled wrong price (Grapes, Apples, Sour Cream etc). Lady working on fast Line claimed that they are not able to cancel item or change the item price. They always called managers but they never came. So I started to make photoes of items showing employee labeled price. The difference in price was always almost double and the same employee was very rude. Last time She said you always make a problem with price. My answer was "No lady Walmart always charge more than the price is labeled for items. I beg you to cancel item and you are not able to do it. This location is absolutely horrible! I'll do anything to avoid going to Brownsburg Walmart! Every single time I go shop there, there's workers stocking shelves(during the day) and blocking the isles. And when you try to get around them they give attitude like I'm in their way. The store is very unorganized and most of the employees have no clue where things are located. Many times I've purchased things that ended up being expired. By Sunday, the shelves are empty and options are limited. Things are put in crazy places. Just a mess. I'm posting this in hopes that someone higher up will step up and do something about this. We only have two grocery stores in town and Kroger gets busier and busier everyday because nobody wants to shop at this Walmart location. PLEASE DO SOMETHING! Around eight, nine years ago, I would have given this Wal-Mart five stars, no sweat. These days, it definitely isn't the worst I have seen as far as Wal-Mart stores go, but it has absolutely gone downhill in recent years among the huge growth of Brownsburg. Most of the store is clean, and I have been able to receive help when needed in different departments. However, one trip was with a friend and we needed fresh parsley for a recipe. My friend sought help since the space in produce was empty (and I know that means they are out), but the employee proceeded to argue and try to convince us, implausibly, that the cilantro on the shelf was "fancy parsley." (Buzzer sounding) Try again, lady. I even tasted a piece in front of her though I was already shouting across the room that it was not parsley when she and my friend were approaching. In addition to that, a checker once was bagging bottles of wine, two to a single bag and my friend had to double-bag them singly herself to ensure safe transport. We also had a checker that never said hello, didn't say one word, not even when the total came up. The restroom is a disgrace as well. I once was in when they tried to class it up by placing a vase of fresh flowers near the ladies' room sink. A week later, the same flowers were still sitting there, dead and smelling. And why do most Wal-Mart bathrooms have those awful huge sinks with motion-activated faucets that never seem to work well?? I have had great, prompt service in electronics and paint, but also have stood waiting in electronics and never being acknowledged. This store can be extremely busy in afternoon/evening. It is much quieter and easier to navigate late at night, which is true for most of their locations. My biggest issue is the vision center. The woman that conducted most of the tests during my last eye exam was aces. I wish I remembered her name! The female doctor was so-so. Many of the ladies at the outer desk though, are awful. Among other problems and people, the worst was the older/middle-aged woman that fit my glasses. They were slipping so I returned for an adjustment. Seemed okay on-site, but that night they were pinching my nose before returning to sliding down again. I realized finally, a long time later, the arms are too long for my head and THAT is why they don't fit right. I also received a "tough shit" attitude from the same woman when I told her several of my new contacts had torn. She circled the phone number for Johnson & Johnson on a pamphlet for me & said to take it up with them. The Brownsburg store didn't have my contacts in stock to begin with so I had to go to another store for those, but I thought I would ask while I was getting my glasses adjusted since this is where I had my exam. The contact company, who were great customer service-wise, just ended up calling Wal-Mart as well. They had me go back to the store where I bought my contacts for a replacement, and it was hassle-free... There are reasons I won't go into here why I don't especially LOVE this company, but when necessary to shop at Wal-Mart, I have become quite disappointed in this store. It's a shame because it is the closest one to my house and used to be immaculate. This store's layout is better than the next closest location to me, but the customer service is really lacking here. I am going to find an actual new optometrist's office for my next eye exam. I am done with big-box vision departments and national chains. read more

We recently got an Aldis in Brownsburg. Today I saved $14.24 shopping at Aldis than the exact same items at Walmart. There are just 2 of us in the house. I cannot imagine how much families are saving. All the the while Walmart keeps raising their prices. You can ALWAYS find an employee for assistance. There is ALWAYS cashiers to ck you out. I recently ordered a gift for my son from Walmart.com and the headphones arrived in a horribly beat up package that looked like it had been opened before and resealed. We returned those without actually testing out the headphones and returned them. We reordered them and received the next set in a box that actually looked new even though the padding around the headphones (a thin layer of bubble wrap) poorly done. When we tried out the headphones, we could clearly tell that these were cheaply manufactured from China and they delivered awful sound to match. When we went to return these to Walmart, they refused to take the return and stated that because it was from a third party seller on THEIR OWN website WALMART.COM, they didn't have to accept it. They finally relented A BIT and said that they would take it back ONLY if we put it in a shipping box and have it ready to ship back. read more

They're usually a very well maintained location, both inside and out. They take care to keep things clean and orderly. A really nice store until the layout changed; also they seem to have a slight problem keeping the carts out of the parking lot late at night. Those two things are the only things that are keeping this place from having five stars. read more

In response to social distancing and Covid-19 restrictions, the entry doors have a gate and signs which are labeled ENTRANCE and the exits are boldly labeled DO NOT ENTER. However, while I was approaching the store this morning at 8:46 a.m, Lea, the greeter, stepped outside to direct me to use the gated entry but failed to give the caucasian gentleman in front of me the same instructions. When I asked her why didn't she stop him she replied that I "looked" like I was going to use the wrong door. I, a black woman, was approached not because I did something wrong, but because I "looked as if I was going to do wrong?" I was racially profiled. I spoke to Katie, the front end manager, who said she would follow up with the associate; however, when we spoke later at 9:15 a.m she said my perception of the experience was incorrect. She said there were other managers who witnessed the incident; however, none of those said "managers" intervened to de-escalate the situation nor to check on the consumer or the associate. After the situation de-escalated, I began to browse in the clothing and was texting when Parminder, a manager, approached me asking "why I was harassing his associates?" He located me in the store nearly 45 mins after the initial incident occurred to inquire about associates, which none were in the proximity and to further instigate the situation that had already been de-escalated at the service counter. He found me not to offer an apology or empathy, but to place me in the wrong after I already expressed I was handled wrong? Unacceptable customer service! I informed him I have the encounter recorded on my cellular device, and there was no harassing on my behalf. I walked away! This is the reason for protesting today! Black people "look" like they're going to do wrong, and they are stopped before any wrong is committed. For Lea to even say she was giving me instructions that are clearly written as if I can't read, is an insult to my intelligence as well. Lastly, according to Katie per my cell phone recording, there were members of management who watched this situation unfold and did nothing to remedy the situation for their associate or the consumer, which is disgusting! In the racial climate of today, this encounter was unacceptable and there should be diversity training for managers and associates. read more

Received a vision exam on 10-3-2016 and took the prescription to a private optical store in Indy that carries much better frames than Walmart and who had done my last two prescriptions. After they made the first pair the left eye was not correct. Went back to Walmart and they did a recheck and wrote a new prescription. When I went to pick those up I could not see the side of a barn ! LOL I would caution VERY strongly to have an eye exam at this store ! read more

I went into the store, brought it to the managers attention twice and they still haven't followed up 30 minutes later.
