Walmart I rolled into town for a few days of work and since I live in FL, I tend to wear very little in the way of clothes as I work from home for the most part. I get all the way to PA and well, not socks. Ha. At least I had pants - but anyway, I needed socks and a quick google search gave me this Walmart location. This supercenter is close to a truck stop that I was parked at which is awesome. Everything and I mean everything that was on my list was in stock from the bedsheets to the chicken wings. The store was clean and bathrooms well maintained. The parking lot was being cleaned. The cashiers were greeting customers. I would recommend visiting this Walmart if you're in the area. read more

We moved to the Carlisle area in 2024 and, I don't know, there's something about this wal-mart ... they always seem to be pretty well stocked and the people who work here seem very friendly. Even the customers here seem friendly. The parking lot is easy to get into and out of (especially compared to Mechanicsburg) and the store is just pleasant. I've needed help on several occasions with either finding something or having a price checked and whoever I've asked has been helpful and friendly in the process. When something doesn't go well, depending how poorly something went, I'll be the person to speak to a manager if I think it's serious enough or if anyone will care. Conversely, if things go very well, I'll also speak to the manager. I've asked to speak to a manager twice at the Carlisle wal-mart to compliment staff who've been exceptionally helpful. My other half doesn't agree that every trip to this store is pleasant, but she does agree it that it's waayyyy better to visit this store than the one in Mechanicsburg which we both loathe. read more

I was here today and I really don't use the bathroom alit in public, but I had to today, so I'm in the back of the store and went to use the bathroom couldn't use the bathroom in the back because some before me blew their asshole all over the toilet sit, not single Walmart employee clean the bathroom and they were all just standing around laughing about it, so I go to front bathroom is little cleaner so I believe, I look down at the floor and there is just drops of shit all through the bathroom like someone ass was leaking again no one clean it no one mop it, just shit all over the floor in the front of the store and shit all over the bathroom toilet in the back. The atmosphere of this Walmart, based on my past several visits, gets incredibly weird after dark, to the point where I actually questioned my legitimate safety after my last visit. For example, the parking lot is both empty and alive with activity, but activity that isn't ok. Shady individuals hanging out underneath trees (in almost complete darkness). Garbage cans overflowing with garbage. Carts are scattered EVERYWHERE and no one is brining them inside, giving a real dump aesthetic to the whole landscape. I witnessed a man pull up to a spot with a cart in it, jump out of his running car, ram the cart into another parked car, and then park in the now empty spot. He and his girlfriend thought it was hilarious...and there were children in their back seat. While I was mortified by the lack of human decency this person demonstrated, this Walmart location really seems to bring out this kind of behavior in people when the sun goes down. I don't share this for laughs - think twice about visiting late at night, especially if you have small kids. read more

My curbside groceries pickup was scheduled for noon. At 1:20pm I canceled the order in the app and left the parking lot without any groceries because I had to go to work. Horribly managed. This evening I tried to buy ammo front the sporting goods department. The employee working the sporting goods department was unable to sell me ammo because Walmart employees must be 21 years or older to sell ammo, which she apparently wasn't. Employee called for assistance numerous times, several times radioed for manager or a coach to come help...after 15 minutes of waiting still no management or employee permitted to sell ammo came to the sporting goods department. This is very common at this store, the other week I waited 10 minutes for an employee in order to get a can of spray paint. Walmart please higher a new manager for this location because the leadership is horrible! read more

I wouldn't recommend coming here for more than just a few items. The lines are always packed and you'll end up waiting in line for 30 or more minutes. My suggestion, do your grocery shopping and other big shopping elsewhere. Only come here for a few items so you can go through the self checkout. Also, be overly careful in the crosswalks here. It seems nobody in this town knows that they have to stop their car for pedestrians that are already half way through a crosswalk and will instead choose to speed up and try to run you over. read more

With so many complaints I just had to put this out there!!! After a recent trip to this Wal-Mart, I got home to find out, one item I purchased was not in my bags. I took my receipt in and they told me I missed picking up a bag and two customers later my purchase walked out the door. I thought my loss someone else's gain...... If you're looking to to grab anything and make a quick trip DO NOT GO HERE! To checkout takes a minimum of 20 minutes because they only have 2-4 cashiers working at all times. I was just there today and they had 2 cashiers working. That was it. The lines were so backed up. Because society has made it nearly impossible for regular people to afford groceries any where else, at least heed some tips for when you inevitable do go to Walmart. Don't bother calling, they are terribly rude on the phone. I once called and asked to speak with a manager and got "UGH!" followed by being put on hold..-- NO JOKE, THAT HAPPENED. Plan ahead carefully, you will be sitting in line for aprox. 45 minutes just to check out. So best not to schedule your haircut after your shopping trip. Sure, great great grandmas are awesome. Not so awesome when they are the clerk checking you out at Walmart. What is "granny at the door" going to do when someone DOES just straight up steal something... the thief will have a 30 minute head start since granny will have to walk all the way to customer service to report the theft. They should at least give her a scooter.. Bring your own hand written map because no one in the store can tell you where anything is. And if you get lucky and they DO know... they will point to the general location. They cant take time from hanging crayons up to walk you to the item you are looking for. Perhaps a scooter for them also? skates maybe? Doing Layaway? Great option, have fun waiting 20 minutes for someone to get back to the desk to help you. ALTHOUGH I will say the one person who finally made it and helped me was indeed nice. (there IS a first for everything!) In Summary, You are still going to go, why not make it easier on yourself. Walmarts are pretty much the same everywhere. We always look for deals, so that's more about our financial duties to our family budget, than it is about the store. Rarely do I go, that there isn't a line. Plenty of registers, just not enough lines open....HINT TO WALMART! We shop at several places, so this is just one that we will stop at from time to time. There are so many people in Walmart all the time that it's uncomfortable. I dreaded pulling into the parking lot. Every time we have gone nothing is ever stocked. The employees obviously have no idea what they are suppose to be doing. Over a thousand people in your store ? Why not open up more than one lane for check out. Most people get so fed up that they leave their carts and walk out of the store. There are no self check out lines at the Carlisle store probably because of high theft. My husbands mother who is 70 was shopping and one of the employee's had a cart filled with stocking items [huge boxes] and they turned the corner super fast and all the boxes fell on her. Knocking her to the ground. She had bruises all over her. The only thing they did was rush her to the check out and had her leave the store. We never go to Walmart . It's been years. I would rather go out of my way ... to another store. The pictures submitted for this walmart had to be taken by a employee / manager after they stocked the store and while the store was closed. I have not been in a Walmart for years. The prices are about the same at Target. I am willing to pay the 2 cents extra to have a better shopping experience. The vibe at Walmart is unique. All sensory functions seem to shut down. Vision gets hazy. It's the only store where this happens. Before I enter the doors I am already in a full panic attack. read more

It is a difficult time with COVID-19, new rules, reduced hours, and no one ever has what you need. My family has been quarantined for over a month. My business has been closed. Times are tough. These employees that walk around with their mask half off, yelling down the isles at me " we close in 7 minutes." this is just as I find the last item I needed, bunny hay. I drove to next town to go to this store. No one has bunny hay where we live. Instead of asking if I needed help to get me out of there faster, they walk around with cups of drinks, masks hanging down, yelling at the customers. nevermind that your only option is to-do self check out. No problem, believe me, I'd rather. especially since they made their closing announcement every 2 minutes for the last 20 minutes, and even stated " it's 8:27, in 3 minutes, the registers will be closed." stop it. It's practically harassment. if you're open until 830, a customer can walk in at 829. As a nurse that worked urgent care, believe me, patients never let me down. Ever. Every single shift, we closed at 8. But every single shift, one or two people would walk in at 750. We saw them, maybe annoyed at times, but NEVER harrassed them. Give people the benefit of the doubt and be happy that you're still EMPLOYED! read more

This walmart is not very trucker friendly! I travel across country and shop at walmart nearly daily. I never had a worse experience such as this one. I stopped in to get some food and necessities that added up to $100.00. Before walking I had asked if it was ok if I parked in the area I did. The associate said as long as its less than an hour you are fine, well I was there only 20 minutes come out to find a ticket on my truck for me to pay $15.00. Funny thing is all the trucks parked there got a ticket but a bus did not! Needless to say we work hard every day and are away from our families and this is the thanks we get! By far the worst experience I have ever had.. Maybe I will start using other stores that appreciate us truckers money. I had one pair of glasses 20 years ago, when my 20/10 vision dropped to 20/20, and I thought I was going blind. Now being middle aged, I needed my first real pair of corrective lens. this is without question the cleanest Walmart I have ever visited. all of the staff that I came across were actually helpful and happy unlike most Walmart's that I have stopped at. the people in electronics knew there stuff and were able to answer all of my questions. (for once)..and there selection of products is always amazing.. now if you are calling this Walmart to have questions answered well this is a different story.. expect to be put on hold for a long time and shuffled around to allot of different people. read more
