I usually don't leave negative reviews, but this experience was disappointing. The customer service was unhelpful, and it was difficult to get a clear answer from anyone. Yet this Walmart found a way: during the Christmas season keep all but 2 of the 20 checkout lanes closed, and staff the 2 open ones with people who nap briefly between scanning items. I have been to this location many times and seldom is it a good shopping experience. Shelves are often empty and the general cleanliness of the place is lacking. Most employees are of little knowledge or help if you can find one. Parking is plentiful but some rows are one way and some not. Confusing. Some prices are good, some are not. Very few registers open, almost all self service and if there's a problem it takes a while for someone to come to assist. Only reason I go there is because of the location. I do not recommend this service. Drivers are always messing up and they do NOTHING to fix the issue. I PAY for this service as I do not have a car. They were stopped to deliver my groceries today between 10-11am. The driver got out of his car, took a picture of the building a drive off marking the order as delivered!!!! I contacted Walmart about this. They offered a refund and a $10 promo to reorder. The problem is is that it B is va a Sunday and a holiday weekend. That refund WILL NOT be credited to my account for days which leaves my family with NO FOOD AT ALL until this is resolved. We do not have the funds to reorder now and wait for the refund. $10 will not be enough to replace the order or even feed my family for a day! I even spoke with a 'MANAGER' who repeatedly apologized and tried to explain that they are just following 'policy' and cannot offer more than $10. I watched several try to bargain with actual customers so that they couldn't buy the item and they could. Sat at the photo station for over half an hour as one lady stared me down, never asked if I needed help. Once I approached her and asked for help, she told me no one could help me, and the only person that could was gone??? I really try to avoid shopping Walmart these days but there were some personal care items that somehow got left out of my suitcase and at this late hour, I wasn't going to try to find a 24 hour pharmacy. The store was busy and in reasonable condition as far as shelves being stocked go. I managed to find what I needed - toothpaste, contact lens fluid, shampoo, etc. - easily enough. Decent selection and prices were Walmart low. Not enough registers open, I decided that it would be easier to wait in the short queue for the self checkout. That didn't take too long and I did not need any help from the associate who was busy helping other customers with their troubles anyway. I spent less than $15 here today, which is more than I wanted but less than it could have been. I'll continue to shop elsewhere but couldn't help it this time. This is my GO TO Walmart. But ....... never on the weekend. My preferred time to come is weekday mornings. Not too crowded. I can stroll through the aisles and look for what I need with hardly any crowds. I find the store to be well stocked and neat. Since we lost Kroger in this area, I now buy a lot of those products at Walmart. The prices are good !! It's one stop shopping for groceries as well as toiletries and cleaning supplies. The photo printer (during Christmas when my cards were supposed to be done an one hour--going on 24) isn't working and they don't know when it will be fixed. This location is the absolute worse when it comes to being on time with your order or communication. When you call the pickup number no one answers it. You can leave a voicemail, no one will call you back. Today, I asked one of the associates if they could assist me by checking on my order as I picked the time for a specific reason. They told me to call the number - then walked away. Really?! The two seconds to tell me that, you could have looked me up on your device. It's beyond frustrating. These days I try to go to Walmart early in the morning during the week so there will be less people in the store. Unfortunately, no matter when you go, there will be workers working. The policy at the front of the store states customers must have a mask on over their nose and mouth but at least half of the workers I saw today did not have their nose covered. The shelves are pretty stocked though (minus Lysol and such). Although, I did stumble across a 3 pack of Great Value Disinfectant Wipes this am. I shop At the Walmart in Cary. I go there a lot because it is better than going to food loin. However, I don't like what happens when I go there because they see me there about three times a week and the cashier at the front end is always watching me like I am stealing something. Even when I have the money in my hand. This lady is always standing somewhere by when I am paying for my things. I am a black lady in my 60's. ATTN STORE MANAGER: Problem: Cashier (name tag flipped around but older female with dyed brown hair) was having a conversation away from her register when I started to load the conveyor belt, she took her time getting to me, did not greet me, said nothing, piled all my clothing in wads in the bag without folding, then started to put heavy cans on top since she didn't scan those first, when the total came up she just stood there and stared out into space without telling me the total. This was totally rude and the worst kind of cashier. I have been a cashier in my life as well as a stocker and a bagger. To not speak at all to the customer is completely unacceptable. Solution: Please mystery shop your employees to ensure they give the bare minimum of customer service in a world where people can so easily shop online or at other stores, even Walmart can do much better than how I was treated by this unfriendly and unprofessional associate. This walmart is incredible and will outright tell you something that they have ON A SIGN OUTSIDE is not something they do. A few months back I bought a grill from here, the main reason being is that they had a huge sign saying they would had free assembly on all grills. A week later when I called to see if it was ready, "The assembly guy hadn't come in yet" Week after that. "We don't have an assembler don't know who told you that" Week after that. "We havent ever assembled grills here" The last two coming from managers, and the best part is when I went to pick up the boxed grill to build it myself a month later, the sign still proudly hangs in the gardening section. My mom worked here in 2020-2021 as a people greeter and she was quite happy working here and they treated her well. I'm giving the second star because she had a great experience working here but only 2 stars since I get really poor service at this Walmart from the checkout staff both at the full and self checkouts. Also lines are very long and it can get crowded and the other customers can be unfriendly. I rather shop at the super Target instead. Well... it's a Walmart, don't expect much. The cashier was a ray of sunshine. (Heavy sarcasm applied). I swear if she had smiled, her face would have broken. I had been shopping with my 3 kids and could have used a little happiness/cheerfulness. Nope, I don't even think she said a single word to me. Nice! All the grocery items I wanted were well stocked. It appeared the toy department was having a stock change over or something because it was all in disarray. There were carts of packing material blocking our way... and when you are pushing one of those huge carts that allow for 2 kids to ride (basically like a semi truck of shopping carts), trying to maneuver around the obstacle course of aisles was fun. Closed due to "under-staffing," which I understand to be a euphemism for not being willing to pay their employees enough or treat them properly. As a third-shift employee explained to the other people who wanted to come into the store during normal hours, "the store is closed...not enough people for second shift." When asked why there wasn't a sign out front explaining the situation (instead of relying on the news crew to tell everyone the situation), it was explained to us that "I'm not authorized to talk about that." I actually spent about 5 hours the last two days trying to get a grocery delivery. Finally today I was able to place my order. They arrived tonight and I am missing a 5 lb. bag of Pillsbury all purpose flour, brown sugar, and a loaf of sliced Brioche bread. I do not know if I was charged for those things. I am thinking I did. I really need the missing items so please try to get them to me tomorrow. I can never get anyone to answer the telephone. A store as huge as yours you need a telephone operator. Putting aside feelings about shopping at Walmart that is anti-union and treats staff poorly, this location has hits and misses. When I went on a Saturday mid-morning, I was delighted to see some nice fresh produce: parsley, rambutan, dragon fruit, curly kale etc. I also found a decent amount of more what I would call upscale products: impossible burgers, earth balance, coconut sugar, glutino/schar gluten free, and ocean's halo. Prices of most things were rock bottom, but with specialty items, it pays to check. What I came to get, molasses, was nowhere to be found not on the baking aisle and not on the aisle endcaps. It just seemed odd to me given that it's fall to not have something like molasses in stock. It's a fall staple! read more

This Walmart is undergoing renovations. It'll probably be nice a fresh after they finish, but for now the construction is a bit of a pain... everything in the store seems shifted around and part of the parking lot is reserved for construction materials. Overall, I was able to get in and out without too much hassle. Once I figured out where the sections were, it was pretty quick going through the registers. Really weird seeing half the store (especially the front) all ply-wooded off and narrowed. The parking lot is a bit of a gauntlet to navigate, but I guess if you come here all the time, it wouldn't phase you... I just wished some parking lot planners had a little more sense instead of making the parking lot "look" pretty. The lot wouldn't look pretty after people start crashing into each other trying to cut through rows to get out of the parking lot. Sorry... little parking lot rage is coming out here. read more

Never considered yelping a Wal-Mart until I moved to DC and went to THE WORST Wal-Mart of ALL time on H street. Since then, I've come to appreciate what it's like to go to a Wal-Mart that's well stocked and now has a large self check out. I still avoid asking ANY employees questions since they NEVER know where anything is (that's true across ALL Wal-Marts though). But otherwise I can come into this Wal-Mart and expect to leave with everything on my shopping list. Plus on black Friday (or white Thursday), the store is packed but nothing like the horror shows you see on the news and you're pretty much still guaranteed to find most deals available even the day after. So lesson learned: don't take a decently non-horrible Wal-Mart for granted. read more

This Walmart location is terrible. I've been to a lot in other states, as everyone has, with terribly lazy and unhelpful associates, but this overall experience of this location tops it all. Major gripe: Lack of variety Regarding food items, clothing, paper/cleaning products, their selection is so lacking. There are normally only a couple of choices, whereas at other Walmarts, you have a wide range of options. For certain items, there will be a dedicated spot for the product AND a price, but there are never any in stock!! What is the deal?? Is this an issue of not stocking the shelves completely, or the person in charge of ordering items is not being thorough enough? Clothing: I've been looking for a swim suit for both my sons, a toddler and a first grader, since the beginning of JULY. The exact same bathing suits are there, don't change. No new sizes or styles have been displayed for the toddler section. For the older boys section, I found ONE swimsuit out, on clearance sized XL 14-16. It's not even the beginning of August yet. Associates: I've asked for help with finding certain items, mainly in the health/toiletries aisles because I can't find what I'm looking for due to the items constantly changing places and different aisles. The associates just tell me they don't know either because "they're always changing things around." On one occasion at the store a couple of weeks ago, the supervisor of the clothing department was arguing right along with 4 other associates about some squabble between 2 other employees - one making fun of another, bullying, and it got to the point it was actually so distracting I just left the department. The one positive is there are many self checkouts usually open. I can't stand this is the only Supercenter in Cary, I normally now go to Kroger or their Neighborhood Market store. read more

Recently had occasion to utilize a lucrative coupon for a specialized, expensive eye drop product. Checked online, said none in stock and my coupon expired today. Had already checked with other stores in the area and they did not carry it. I called the customer service and inquired if I could pay for the product, use the coupon and they could order it for me. They do not do anything to accommodate their customers. Even though they usually carry the product, it is now out of stock, will not take the coupon or offer a rain check. This isn't a Walmart Supercenter, so they're not open 24 hours. Good luck getting milk after work if you work late! I give this location two stars because it's not a Supercenter. There's a 24 hour Harris Teeter near Cary Towne Mall, but it's a pain to travel across town just for a few things. They test the fire alarms in the middle of the day. It went on for a solid 10-15 minutes, and every single customer I saw was annoyed by it. Why can't they test it at night? My husband had to walk all around the store just to find a bathroom with toilet paper. The layway bathrooms were bare and so were the bathrooms in the front. He ended up not using the bathroom because there was no toilet paper to be found. They need to put more people on registers. There are always long lines and too few cashiers. What's the point of having 20 or more registers and four cashiers, and two of them are in the express lanes? This place will do, but it could be so much better. I wish I could give this Walmart 0 stars. And I'm honestly surprised it's still open. Rather lengthy review but I need to let my frustration out with this Walmart. This Walmart is always dirty and messy. Nothing is ever in the right place and the employees are too lazy to clean up. The price tags are also always in the wrong places. The bathrooms are disgusting and I suggest NOT to ever use them. Don't bother asking any of the employees for help. They are absolutely clueless and couldn't tell you where one thing is in there own store. They always say "Well they keep moving things around" which is there lazy response to I do not want to help you find it because as long as I've been here (two years) they haven't moved one thing. They also never have more than one lane open with 200 people standing in line. That's not an exaggeration. The Customer Service employees are absolutely miserable and always roll their eyes at you and flick you off with attitude. They will find every excuse they possibly can not to return items even though there policy states so. Don't bother ordering online and picking it up at the store. Because they have no idea where your order is! Even though you received an email saying it's ready. They will go searching for 30 minutes and come out empty handed. They have no organization what's so ever. Do not coupon here. The manager I believe is either jealous of couponers are just doesn't want to deal with them. They will fight you for an hour over a $.50 cents off Bread coupon. Or they will tell you they no longer Price Match even though I called corporate and they stated they still do. Not only did he drop everything to help me, he walked up and down a few check out aisles trying to help me find it. Well, we didn't find it but I at least knew where to look so when my own checkout came up, I looked at the bottom shelf and yay! Kinder eggs! I was a Walmart regular back in FL but this particular location I have sworn off of. The lines are always long and it is difficult to get help when needed. I can tell it was recently renovated but it feels dark and unwelcoming. The selection was fine, but chicken is very bad quality. I purchased it once and it was tough and rubbery when cooked. The last time I went I had a coupon that wouldn't work and the cashier called the manager. It took almost 20 minutes for the manager to come. I even told the cashier she could ignore it but the computer was locked at that point and only the manager could take care of it. It was 5pm on a week day, you would think there would be more cashiers available. The only explanation the manager gave was that she was "ringing up other customers." Of course, at that point the line had tripled and those people were not happy. I've compared prices of basic items between Walmart and Target; Target was generally 1cent more expensive and in a few cases even cheaper. Even so, my experience at Target and other grocery stores is much more pleasant, therefore I'm not concerned about the few cents I could save. read more

After my experience at this Walmart I will gladly drive an extra 20 minutes to a store with civilized employees. After waiting in line for 32 minutes because ONE line was open the cashier was the rudest human being I have even encountered. Charlene was cursing under her breath (most less subtly than she clearly thought) and look pissed at the world. When I politely asked her to have a better attitude because we had been waiting so long and expected good customer service she was snappy and told me she didn't have an attitude problem. Has to be the only Walmart in the country that doesn't price match meat. I chose not to get the item because it was $5.00 more here than another place. Also, one manager said they would price match the pork chops, the cashier didn't know how to do it, so she asked somebody else, and they said they don't price match any meat. I find this to be really strange since they did price meat the last time I was here, two weeks ago. No consistency, not trained, but seems that they make a decision based on what they feel like doing. read more
