The deli workers on duty this time were immediately attentive and helpful, even though they were in the midst of other chores. If it's a hot summer day, and you're dying of thirst, by the time you get through the check-out line, you'll have expired. This store has the worst management and poorest customer service I have ever seen in any Walmart facility. Factor in, that you can't even get a box of tissues because they're not stocked. I once asked three employees where I could find bug spray and they were each clueless. As a former Certified Training Manager, I can say that the blame should fall on management. My wife and I have found a much better Walmart elsewhere and we drive the extra seven or eight miles to get there. Avoid this store. If you want Walmart, try the one in Raleigh or Apex. read more

I just went to make a return at this Walmart and I am extremely disappointed and dissatisfied. Not only did they not take care of a loyal customer, but they did not listen to what their customer was saying. The first words out of my mouth was "This was a gift shipped to me (straight from Walmart still in the Walmart box) and it came broken, I'd like to exchange it if there are more available." (They were ceramic bowls.) Usually, when someone says something is a gift, you return it to a gift card or at least ASK how you'd like it refunded (yes i had the order # so it was no problem looking up.) Confused, I asked to make sure she put it on a gift card but, she went ahead and refunded it to the original form of payment (which was to the persons card that got it for me.) So, not only does that person now know I returned my gift, but now the money is back on their card when all I wanted to do was make an exchange. So now i have to deal with that and explain why I returned it and how I couldn't even exchange it. I've managed retail for quite a while, all for companies smaller than "Wal-mart" and there is ALWAYS a way to make it up to the customer. Wal-mart really couldn't spare $20 on a gift card to make it up to me? I would have felt TERRIBLE if i ever did this to someone else.. they sure didn't seem to care (even the customer service manager-spoke with him too.) read more

Went in to buy some shorts for my son and found 2 pairs. Grabbed a couple other things and went to the checkout line. She started scanning some things and when she scanned the second pair of shorts an error popped up on the screen; 'SALE NOT ALLOWED'. What the hell? She commented how this had been happening recently. I asked her to speak to a manager so she scurried off to ask. When she returned she refused to sell the shorts to me and asked me to leave without them. Stupidest Walmart experience of my life, couldn't believe I found something on the rack with a barcode and they refused to sell it to me. I even asked her to charge me twice for the second pair (they were almost identical), which she refused. Ridiculous service. read more

I prefer this Walmart to the one in North Raleigh. They have a pretty vast selection of items, and the prices are usually the cheapest you can find. Checkout could use some improvement, I always seem to be waiting awhile to check out here. read more

I will never understand why walmart never has enough registers open to take care of their customers. I was trying to check out at 10:30pm, only one register was open. The person behind me went to complain to the manager. After about 10 minutes, he finally opened another register and called someone else to the front to open another. He apologized profusely and said it was because of corporate cutting hours. Thanks to toss manager that actually done something to speed up the check out lane at Walmart. read more

Went to this Cary supercenter Walmart on my weekly visit and, surprise, the service was TERRIBLE. Went to pick up ready pics (phoned on Friday, 11/8 to tell me they were ready) and one woman was being helped. I waited in line. And waited. And waited. Over 15 minutes as the woman in front of me was putting something in lay away. Turns out the lay away department is the same cashier as the electronics dept. and the man stocking electronics that I asked about half-way through my wait said that this woman (Anne) was the only employee working the entire dept. When I finally got my turn, Anne asked me if I had a problem to which I said, "Yes, I don't like waiting so long, no one would," to which she explained that she was also the lay-away dept. Then, another employee said something to Anne like, "Just keep it cool..." (Anne had been very nice, actually). I told the man, who acted as if I were deaf, that it wasn't Anne, but Walmart's ridiculous policy that needed to be addressed. Anne went to find my photos only to finally find them in the "Y" section of the photos, even though my last name begins w/"M." If Anne hadn't been so determined to find them (she literally told me that she was looking in EVERY section after they weren't found in the M section), I would have waited that long to walk away empty handed. So, over TWENTY-FIVE minutes to pick up pics worth less than $3.00??? I told the manager when I left what had happened. AVOID THE PHOTO/ELECTRONICS section if at all possible. read more

I used to be a constant customer- but ever since they've remodeled, the traffic has increased and the service has decreased. I used to be able to find everything I wanted/needed here, and that is no longer the case. I went today just to grab the two things I can't find anywhere else and I ended up standing in line for so long that I almost just set everything down and walked out. There are so many registers in the store that I've NEVER seen open. They suck you in with low prices and then make you wait an hour to pay for the stuff. I've decided I'll just pay the extra money and go to Target. read more

This Walmart is better than most Walmarts since this is in a pretty well off location. I feel like Walmart is good on prices BUT not as good if you are comparing to things online. I feel like the quality of Walmart products are ok, I do shop at Walmart a lot because they have virtually everything in one place. I like their return policy too. I've had to return a pair of expensive headphones before because they stopped working after a week. I just brought my receipt and told them the headphones were broken and they exchanged it without even questioning it, even though the box didn't look great. The part that is the most frustrating about going to Walmart is that it takes FOREVER to checkout. They probably have like 20 lanes, but only 3-4 or open! And most places nowadays have self-checkout but Walmart doesn't. They used to have it but now they are always closed. I just don't agree with Walmart philosophy. They make so much money- they could definitely afford to have at least 10 cashiers, they pay them crap anyway to cut costs. I'd give this place zero stars if I could. Walmart is notorious for having 2 lines open with 100 people that need to leave but this place just makes a complete mockery of your time. Spend the extra dollar and go somewhere else. read more

As far as walmarts go.. It was on the lower end of the scale. I think I'm still getting over the fact that their carts all suck and were hard to push and made a ton of noise. Early am only had 1 register open. read more

Went here on a very busy Sunday afternoon to buy a kayak, yes a kayak. There were some issues with the tags on it but the staff was really great to help me out getting it paid for and loaded into my car. I have to say that many of the customers at this location were very rude and berating the cashiers. Unfortunately this seems to be my experience at a lot of places in Cary which is why I try to avoid that town. Hat's off to the staff here, you guys certainly earn your pay. read more

I kinda hate this Walmart, which is saying a lot because I'm very fond of wally world's large selection of goods at crackhead prices. Like reviewers have mentioned, this location has... interesting clientele. There has been a problem of some sort or another every time I've gone through check out here. I've had items I purchased somehow not make their way into my shopping bags, and I've had a rather curious middle aged cashier wiggle his eyebrows at me when I was buying cheap sports bras. read more

This is small, old fashioned Wal-Mart. This is not a super center, so there is no grocery store. There is a larger food section than most convenience stores, but since the ginormous Harris Teeter is in the same shopping center, who cares. I've been in here a few times to buy filters for a humidifier. I bought them out in the late fall, and this store is small enough that they have already removed the whole humidifier display from the hardware area--you're out of luck if you need more filters during this winter! This doesn't seem a bad Wal-Mart, but if I'm going to a big box for extra low prices, I'd just as soon go to a bigger one that has everything that I'm look for. read more

If I have to choose between this store and the one in Morrisville on Shiloh, it is definitely this one! I already have a love/hate relationship with walmart as it is but I have to say everyone is very nice at this location. The staff is always helpful and they usually have a very cool discount space in the electronics department. They ALWAYS have everything I need. I was even surprised to find out that they carried some of the higher end sodas I like to drink from time to time. Good stuff! :) read more

I go to buy a flashlight. I brought 3 of the same from this Walmart before. 8.96 was the price. Go to the register yesterday. Told by saul at about 11:15 PM I couldn't buy it because it was not in his inventory. He goes to the night car, coleen, who looks up the price, in Walmart app, and tell saul to sell it to me for 24.00. I say heck no, he goes back to coleen and she says 18.00 is the best they could do. I am pissed. I go to the aisle, get a worker Yvette, she verifies price, and I take her to saul, register guy. Yvette with inventory tags says, he, customer is right on price, . I ask for full name of CSR coleen and to talk with her. Now coleen is awal. We find her, after purchasing for 8.96. She says he was not supposed to sell it to me because the store will not get credit because it is not in inventory. Wow. First thought, workers are removing items from inventory so they can set their own price or steal or both. It is an item Walmart Carrie's, and I bought it from there before. Consumer fraud or worker theft and embezzlement. Stuff in store removed from inventory. First step in theft. Stuff in store, priced one way, but you get to register and it cannot be sold to you at first, then they changed their mind and try to sell it at triple cost. Consumer fraud for sure. It is on the shelf. It has a price. But you tried to RIP me off. And the CSR did not do anything to either add product to inventory or remove it from self. Nice. read more

Some good and friendly employees but most of them are REALLY rude. I went in to get some allergy medicine about 30 minutes before they closed and while I was waiting about 20 minutes in the check out line one of the rude employees cut in front of me to check out; even though that person's shift wasn't over and they were supposed to be running a cash register. read more

This afternoon (2:30pm) I placed an order for 10 1-hour photos. My confirmation email told me they would be ready for pick up at or after 3:30. When I arrived to Walmart just now (7:45pm), I had to wait in the customer service line for 20 minutes just to be told that my hour-photos were not ready to be picked up, and that they have no expected time for them to be ready. Definitely not coming back here if I can help it. read more

Don't expect to get in out there are never enough registers open and they don't offer self check out. I went there yesterday mid afternoon there was 5 registers open and a huge line in each one. I never shop here for food. But I get a ton of other things like paint, fishing, blankets, crafts, and the list goes on. Walmart is much cheaper than going to the craft store for the same supplies. They also will accept almost anything back for return. If your looking to save some money or need something not sold in your grocery store this might be the place. But don't expect to get a good cart, every cart is about busted and no matter how many I go through it always has something wrong with it. read more

I commonly find myself waiting for help at this and most walmarts. They need more staff at the pickup desk.

Not one of the better Walmart's. Associates are miserable. Messy store. Always a long line. If a choice Apex is better.

As Walmarts go, this is not a great one. For some reason the checkout lines always seem longer here than at other Walmarts. If I have the time I travel the extra distance to the new, larger Walmart on Apex Peakway. read more

I just went to this walmart again today, and was surprised at how clean it looked and smelled, and how fresh all the produce was. Then we walked past the bigwigs and realized why. Apparently they only do their jobs when the higher ups are coming. However, we still had an issue with 2 employees walking side by side, taking up the whole isle, and we had no way to get through without them walking into us, because they don't bother moving over even when they are right in front of us, and we're as far to the right as you can walk without walking into the shelf, and they all still seem very miserable there. I guess walmart in Cary needs to hire people who actually want a job bad enough that they are willing to at least act a bit pleasant for the time that they are there read more

I had a question about night-time cold medicine ingredients. I stood by the consultation window and was immediately acknowledged. The Pharmacist was there maybe 30 seconds later even though they seemed very busy. She answered all my questions quickly & succinctly. She neither talked down to me nor pontificated. She even knew where I could find what I wanted in the OTC aisle. Great attitude, great service. It was late afternoon, March 6, 2013. I hope she sees this! WITHOUT A DOUBT THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE by Philip the Night Manager at this Wal-mart. He is a horrible leader! He lets his staff do whatever they want. I called and asked if I was able to print pictures in the photo center after 10 pm. The employee that answered the phone told me this was possible. After wasting gas and driving all the way to the Wal-mart I see that their photo center is closed with no managers in sight at the service center. When I called from in the store to speak to a manager Philip the Night Manager had no excuse for his employees answering the phones WITHOUT knowing proper store policies or correct store information. When I asked Philip about this he did not care at all that his employees had no idea what was going on in the store. read more

Today, being the day after Christmas, I went to WalMart for a few items. I was expecting the store to be a complete mad house. I'm from NY and I'm used to post holiday store chaos. Well, to my surprise, the store was super clean, un crowded and well stocked! I was able to get whatever products I needed and all in a reasonable amount of time. Long lines with not enough registers. Occasionally, I end up buying food products that are outdated (not on purpose). They need to do a better job with checking dates on food items! Sometimes I have found products that were outdated by several months (i.e baby food)! So now, I always make sure to check the dates on all of the food that I buy. Once, I picked up some meat and by the time I got home, the meat smelled rotten. Other than that, I have never had a problem with returning items. read more

Horrible customer service. I called to see if they had a specific pair of rain boots in stock before making the trip over (you know, to avoid getting there only to find they were out). The first girl who answered told me she worked in the fitting rooms and didn't have access to that information...then silence. I had to ask to be transferred to someone else who could help me (seems like commons sense to me). Then the girl at the customer service desk was extremely rude. First, being noticeably put-out that I was calling while they were "so busy," then telling me that the online item number was not pulling anything up. She snootily told me that she needed a UPC number, as if the average person is supposed to know that's what they need. She was then unwilling to help me find that number, and would not search for the item by name (although, who knows. Maybe their system doesn't allow that type of search). All in all, I was appalled by the general unwillingness to help a customer. If this item is out of stock when I get there, I will definitely be speaking to a manager. read more

Horrible store with horrible employees. Alarm going off during the 20 minutes I was there but no one working there seemed to care. Still going off when I left. Not very friendly cashier, she carried on a conversation to another cashier while ringing me up. Very quick dismissive attitude.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED. Had a problem with an online order that couldn't be fulfilled and had to call their store several times before ever getting someone on the line then when I did they weren't able to help me so I had to go in person to sort it out. Then when I went there, the associate manager at the order pickup/customer service/return section was extremely impatient and rude when trying to explain something to me. I was so frustrated with her that I had asked for a higher up to talk with but the associate manager continued to blame me for the whole misunderstanding and was so rude to me. Then after she dismissed me, I went back to check my refund for the canceled order and THEY DIDN'T EVEN REFUND ME THE FULL AMOUNT. I have expended too much energy fighting with the rude manager and Walmart in general so I just gave up. The Walmart employees there honestly should not be allowed to work with customers if they are going to be THAT rude and not even do their jobs correctly. NEVER GOING BACK TO THIS WALMART AGAIN. read more
