This Walmart sucks just like all the other Walmart's. The fact that we know they suck but keep going to them is just amazing. This is the only store that will sell you week old news paper at full price. If I can I will do my best to avoid Walmart's. The employees are unhappy because they get payed minimum wage. read more

Went to this Walmart because we had a 9 hour trip ahead of us. We needed something out of a locked area and went through 3 different employees to get someone to unlock it. We got put off three times by three different people and everyone seemed like they either didn't want to be there or went out of there way to avoid helping customers. We left empty handed because nobody would help us. This is the worst experience I've ever had at Walmart. read more

This is one of the worst Walmarts I've shopped at. Too many young girls work there. The lines be so long and the employees are just standing around doing nothing. I went to the store to pick up a few items (i.e. Mustard, Syrup, juice, etc.) and when I arrived, the store shelves had not been restocked and I had to open the warehouse packaging to purchase mustard. While I understand it can be challenging to hire appropriate overnight associates, it is imperative to ensure that all associates are working and keeping the shelves well stocked for the customers. read more

Inner city Walmart does exactly what it promises: one stop shop, everything you need in your own neighborhood. This store stays clean, I'll give the credit to good management. The staff is mostly young adults so come in with your research done on the products you're seeking, you won't get much info here. I regret the lack of a tire shop at this location although the produce stats fresh and the aisles are usually fully stocked. Overall not bad. read more

The store is well-stocked and clean. I am very pleased with the customer service of the full time employees that you meet usually working 9 to 5; the evening employees, tend to hide and let the customers fend for themselves. If these are the same people who work day and evening...then there is a reason the customer service dwindles in the evening. Maybe all the managers are leaving too early. There does need to be more training concerning how to treat the customer when there is a problem. They do not seem to know how to handle situations that only require chitchat. They are not nasty, they just look at you crazy and cannot solve the problem. Yes, more training or a novel idea....the management should be on the floor and not hiding in the back room. Support your workers. They need some help. Oh, and if your paint department and customer service department has certain hours when it is closed, that schedule should be posted. If the store is open and certain departments aren't, where are the signs that indicate when they are open. We still wait too long in lines. The manager needs to put more cashiers on duty. I should not have to wait in a long line until someone realizes (late) that another cashier is needed. That is something that only seems to be an issue in our neighborhood. I find that hard to understand because all WalMart managers are trained the same. What is that? Generally, this WalMart has made a good start. Get rid of these deficiencies and all will be well for a long time. If not, people will stop coming to this store. read more

I come to this Walmart pretty often and it's pretty sad how they don't take any complaints serious . I went in around 9-10 on Christmas Eve to get my son a Xbox . The 2 young women who worked the electronic section were extremely helpful and nice but it was obvious they get over looked and are being over worked while you guys pay managers to have snobby stuck up attitudes. The young lady needed the manager over electronics to override the price on the XBOX and it took her forever. When the manager came she had a frown on her face and she didn't speak to anyone . She just said Next with an attitude, the young lady was trying to explain to her my issue about my app price and you guys in store price but she cut her off and said who said we was over riding this game it is 300. Her attitude was horrible and even worst that you guys have her representing Walmart brand as a manager . It's not my fault she had to work Christmas Eve but if that's how she came in someone should've sent her right back home . This type of behavior was disrespectful and out of line I hope something is done about this . BTW everyone else in the store was awesome this day wit big smiles and nice greetings ! read more

I don't normally write a review like this but the level of customer service at this Walmart has reached a new low. So I was heading into Walmart about 10:50 and mind you this Walmart closes at 11 and was told sorry sir we are closed. Technically they're not till 11 so I went to my car after questioning the time and getting treated rather rudely. I decided to call the store. After the phone rang for approximately 5 minutes the phone was answered by someone disguising their voice like a kid to let me know that Walmart was closed and then hung up. Are you serious are these the people who are asking for higher wages across the country? People who don't want to deliver customer service, don't want to help, want to close the story early so they can get home, and who obviously have not a single bit of professionalism about them. I mean really this is awful. Needless to say I hope I never have to shop at the Walmart again if I do it'll be way too soon. read more

Its Walmart! What do you expect? Get back in your time machine to early 1900s and have an 8 year old cash you out. I've had my fair share of ignores and saw supervisors dig into employees but what do you expect in this neighborhood. No one speaks proper English. The grocery section is okay, there are little gems in the clothing section (jeggings, denim skirt, cardigans) and it's CLEAN. The employees need to be spoken to about wearing proper pants. The men are fine but GOD HELP THE WOMEN. Why are you wearing leggings, jeggings and tight chinos? Self check is at the entrance not the back of the store. The cosmetics and hair care sections are in the back after pharmacy. This Walmart has the 1st cashier in Cosmetics. If you have a few things and want to get out fast trot there and avoid the line at self check when it gets busy. Electronics needs sprucing up and employees need training on branding. Hire me if you want a memorable positive experience. read more

Well........... I shop at a lot of different Walmarts. This Walmart is the closest to my home. It's sad to say that in the poorer communities your can find the same item in Walmart that you find in the richer communities and it cost more in the poorer communities. In some cases almost as much as $1.50 more. I guess to be a wise shopper and want to really save money at Walmart I need to do most of my shopping at Walmart when I'm out in the far western suburbs like the Lockport area or on the other side of Joliet. read more

I would have given it two stars since I just got home from a visit to this Wal Mart after a friend of mine had told me to go there when I got my transportation up and running. So today I decided to go over to that Wal Mart and sure enough what many posters said pretty much was self explanatory. I walked in and the greeter was busy playing on her phone and having a conversation with someone. I walked into the home and garden department to look at buying a sprinkler and I didnt see not one employee in that area. Then I notice that lines tend to be pretty long with the hood idiots tying up the register trying to get their money straight or having conversations with cashiers. It's bad enough you're trying to get out of the store without some kind of hold up. One poster stated the maturity level of it's workers and I do agree that Wal Mart is employing too many high school and early college age workers who don't seem too serious about their jobs. Customer service needs major work there's no reason why greeters should be having extended conversations with people when their job is to greet the customers that enter the store. I do give them props for the cleanliness of the store since I don't see that in many Wal Marts where the store and bathrooms arent clean. The proper training of employees is needed and also enforce that while on the clock conversation should be minimal only to find something for customers not standing around having personal group conversations when they could be assisting customers. Overall it's ok I'll come back since the cleanliness is what I liked about the store. read more

I cannot find depend silhouette L/XL in the stores in my community. But I can always find it in another community much further a away. The sales rep explanation of WMT business model was just stupid. She said that WMT practice is to buy after it sells. However, I can't buy it if they don't have it. The racial makeup and the level of supply seems to be more of WMT business model than anything else. Going to WMT in my community is a waste of gas and time for me. Smh read more

Never again. I'll stick to the ones that aren't located within the inner city. I've never had such difficulty with Walmart until they accidentally shipped my items for pickup to this store. They can't even get it together for a 4" folding Christmas tree stand and a toaster. They LOST both items within my order. Didn't have the other items in stock. Customer Service gave both my husband and I the run-around for almost two hours. I wouldn't recommend this location to my worst enemy. read more
