Clean store and a friendly staff. I was amazed to see there is still a location where most o the store isn't locked up.

Never really had an issue at this location although this time around I went over the weekend the African American lady who works the fitting room was extremely rude and unprofessional for absolutely no reason. She seemed so upset and bothered that people were going in to try on clothes. If you don't want to work why are you there ???? I asked her for a fitting room and she replied very unprofessional and mad and gave me a dirty look. You need someone better working there. I will most likely not ever shop of this location for that reason. read more

EMPLOYEES EXTREMELY RUDE, WOULD NOT PRICE MATCH: Went to the elk grove to buy headphones fo $229.00 on sale, it was late at night got a woman, headphones was on sale and walmart always price matches, the headphones rung up at the off sale at 349.99, mentioned the price match, she (a night team coach) refuse to match it, also earlier today bought 4 pairs of jeans, when asking to try them on the fitting rooms were locked and another woman about 63yr was very rude to unlock the room while trying the jeans on the woman got rude tone of voice rushing me to get done, and wanted to try another pair and the woman said enough refused to leave me in the fitting room, i shopped in the store a lot i just wanted to say the employees are very rude, i would recomment not to shop in the elk grove store. read more

Went in with items to return that had been purchased at another Walmart. Two of the items were the same but one did not come with a tag. The employee at the other Walmart just scanned the one item twice . While at customer service in this Meacham location, this woman, "Trumti" refused to return the item without a tag saying I had to go to the other store. I had the receipt and everything . I was on my lunch hour but as The line grew, she dug her heels in and refused --all while having a side conversation in her native language with her coworker. We finally asked her to go ahead and return and Refund the items she felt She could so we Could get moving . She refused. We asked several times for the manager and were told she wasn't available, she was helping out in the parking lot. After asking too many times, she finally refunded all but the item without a tag. On our way out we saw the manager who was very kind and helpful, took us inside and Credited the last item. Greatly appreciated her kind help but it took the full lunch hour. I would think that since this is a national chain, returning to a different location should have happened as effortlessly as it did with the manager. This is one of my regular stores to go when I need something so I can say I am here at least once a week if not more. Nice, big Walmart with huge selection. Probably the biggest one in the area with the most products and best selection. Is always clean and tidy whenever I've visited, staff is typically helpful and friendly (not that I've needed much). Has lots of self checkout and even ones with the full belt if you have a full order to get through, makes it super easy. Definitely seems like corporate takes the best care of this Walmart, always has the nicest and newest stuff to offer. Overall I really enjoying coming to this location because it is clean, always restocked and well organized so that things are easy to find. I wanted to say that since they have put in self checkout registers my experience has really been wonderful. The lines go by so much faster and if you need help using self check out there is always some there to help you. Another really great aspect is the pick up option which they offer. When you enter the store there will be a sign stating that the pick up center is in the back of the store and once you get there it is a big orange entrance. Have always considered this the best Walmart in my area, just wish it were closer to me. read more

Thank goodness for this Walmart! They recently revamped this location so it's quite nice inside. I also don't encounter quite as many shady characters here but they're still lurking around here and there. I find everything fully stocked that is advertised which is a rarity at most stores. At this location, it's well organized and clean in addition to being fully stocked. Walmart is full force advertising their cheap grocery prices in commercials and billboards and they live up to all their hype. They have significantly lower grocery, produce, and bakery prices. they have full sheet cakes on sale for $8 sometimes! Insane prices! I utilize Site to Store shipping quite a bit which is located right in the front of the store at customer service. All the workers I've dealt with have been either friendly or nice enough and I've never had an issue here at all. This will continue to be my go-to Walmart! read more

My friends and family know how much I hate Walmart. You're very unlikely to find me at a Walmart unless there's absolutely no where else to go or my husband drags me along (then I mutter comments about how much I hate it as we're walking around). That said, when we moved, our beloved Target locations were much further away than this Walmart location. So we tried it out. And I've been there three times in two weeks. And... this is the best Walmart location I've been to. *GASP* Yep, I said it. The aisles are so friggin' clean and organized. Everything is stocked. Nothing is messed up or misplaced. The employees are also really friendly and act like they actually want to be there! They say hello, ask us if we need assistance, make eye contact and smile, and bid us a lovely farewell. I was in shock. Also (and this may be because we go at odd hours), the lines are not long or crowded at all. And the crazy Walmart customers? Didn't see any of them here. (As I was leaving one time, I did see an overly obese woman in a motorized wheelchair with a couple portable fans in her basket. Oh well. Can't be perfect.) Just, wow. Very very rude to me I'm disabled and have a service dog I can't wear a face mask for reasons I can't breathe. Any other store or even another Walmart has let me in as long as I let them know it's a medical reason I don't wear the mask!!! I did call corporate so hopefully 3 people I talked to will be taken care of. I would just leave it alone but the way the managers talked to me was so disrespectful. read more

Just a heads up if you order from walmart.com DO NOT use their Marketplace Partner Aipet!!!!!! This is a Company located and shipping from China (I'm thinking it's possible another name for the company Wish. My opinion) The shipping time is not correct and you will DEFINITELY not get the product you ordered! Walmart might give you a refund after you've waited 3 weeks for a product that you think you're getting, spend an hour talking to a Walmart employee who clearly doesn't care, and get aggravated beyond belief. Then you will come home one day open up your mailbox and find a dishrag in a plastic envelope. I seriously had no idea what it was until I got a notification saying my order was delivered. Ummmmm okay. Just don't want this to happen to anyone else. Oh and I'll gladly send this back if Walmart would like to send me a prepaid envelope to send it back in. It might take me a few weeks to get to the post office but I'll be sure to put a rush on it. read more

Just as an aside for your ordering information. The system automatically gives the driver a 10% tip, which I do not believe is deserved from the experiences I've had. I DO HOWEVER put in my instructions to the driver, their tip will be BASED on their following my instructions for delivery (which they never do). I always scroll to find the tip area for the driver and set it to zero. Don't worry folks. First, you have the option to give them a tip up to 24 hours after the delivery. Don't panic and think I'm cheap. WARNING WARNING WARNING DANGER WILL ROBINSON...after I set the tip to zero, I noticed when I went back to add something to the order the system gave the driver a 10% tip again, which I did catch. Otherwise, my first intention would have been wasted. So be on the lookout when you order online, especially with this system, it will change what you entered against your wishes. That is Walmart's way of thanking you in their special way which I will not type out, but you may know what I mean. read more

Yes it's late, but we work odd hours and needed some pizza & bananas and to get the heck out of there! We seriously only come to Wal-Mart anymore if it's only absolutely necessary... Ummm... only customer service was open to check out. So much fun waiting with 4 people ahead of you after midnight when you just want to get in, get out and go home! We had less than 5 items, but in order to buy my desperately needed bananas the cashier has to walk all the way over to the closed registers to weigh my bananas, where I can't see their weight and price , then come back over here and complete my transaction. So efficient. I strongly disliked this experience because I have had horrible luck with cashiers giving me hidden charges, or double scanning products, or just trying to swindle me out of more money than I can give them for items I am not trying to buy. *It happens. More frequent than you realize, always watch each item as it scans and make sure it's the right price!* So I trusted him on the bananas, and let him finish the transaction, where he didn't speak to me at all. I quickly understood he didn't know much English, but a simple hello or anything would have sufficed... so he scanned the items, I swiped my card, pushed the necessary buttons, then he bagged our items and then I stood there for a solid 10 seconds while he awkwardly stared at my husband and I. Then I broke the awkward silence and asked if I could have my receipt? He grabbed it, handed it to me and I grabbed my bags and basically ran. As we turned to leave, I did hear him say , "next customer"... the only words he spoke the whole time we were there... odd.. I just don't like coming to Wal-mart, I have had so many ridiculous experiences, I just avoid it like the PLAGUE... and so much of what Wal-Mart is about just rubs me the wrong way, and they way they treat their employees is horrifying. They get 1 star... (which I think is two stars too many perhaps) because this was an updated looking Wal-mart... so maybe if you come here a lot, it might be nice... but we always leave here feeling more frustrated than when we came in... We will go back to continuing to avoid coming here unless everything else is closed and we absolutely need something. Like pizza. and bananas... you know, life's necesities... This is the only Walmart that isn't ridiculously chaotic as the one in Niles or Skokie. It's a lot cleaner. The people that work there are actually super nice. It's just a horrible place to shop. Took my mom there so had to use a checkout lane & the 1st guy threw a fit because I had my own bags & the 2nd guy refused to bag them at all. If you still have a no outside bag policy, when no one else does anymore, maybe tell people. First off....One Star is the lowest review, but this site will not let me give less. Went shopping here tonight and needed a corded phone. I found the electronic department, and the department "manager" (a female who's name starts with an L, but I couldn't pronounce it) was too busy moving a full palet of batteries around to help customers. She even dropped the palet so hard that things fell off of all sides. She didn't pick anything up, just kept moving the palet jack. (I'm sure she damaged several batteries). My friend and I asked about Corded phones and all she could do was POINT and say, "see over there ? They are at the end of the aisle with the movie sign. See that sign? " (I did not see it). It was about 6 rows away from where we were and it was flat against the front of that aisle. I finally found phones. We need 2 lines, no answering machine. I walked back and asked if that was all they carried and she said, "Did you see anything else?" WOW. At this point, I told her that as the manager of the department, she should realize that customers come FIRST, not resetting the aisle. This woman was awful. She then turned her back on me and said over her breath, "These are the quality of customers we have." WOAH, lady...You, being the (obviously overpaid) employee, are not a quality manager if you openly insult customers and don't provide any genuine help...you only know how to point. This entire store always looks dirty, shelves a mess, floors filthy. Save gas. Buy from Amazon when you can....when you can't do that, avoid this trash heap. When they elevate people like her to be management, you know the quality of the other employees. (Not counting the person that will ring you up....because that's self service. They only have ONE register with a human. Their customer service desk had 5 people in line when I went to report this lady. I didn't stay. I will also make sure Corporate hears about this in person. I called the store from the parking lot and asked for a manager. It was like pulling teeth to get the operator to transfer me, then I was on hold for 6 minutes. The male manager on duty (who sounded young) said they would review the TAPES. For What?? Nothing had been stolen. Tapes won't have the audio. I felt like a criminal for ASKING FOR HELP. read more

I have to say this is the Walmart where I received above and beyond customer service. I had 3 full carts of items with me waiting in line. There weren't many registers open so I was waiting for about 5 min when I believe she was a manager, she opened a whole new register just for me. I was so relieved I wasn't going to have to wait a long time. My total was about one thousand dollars. The manager/supervisor was calm and efficient. She bagged all the items and put them in my bag. What was so helpful was that she even pushed one of the carts all the way to my vehicle. Without her help I would of had to make 3 trips back and forth. I didn't even had to ask for help she just took over. Her name is Ikesha. I'm glad that she saw she was needed and sprinted into action. Having her as part of the team makes the store so much better!! Definitely will be back. read more

This place is a dump. Bathrooms are dirty and some stalls ALWAYS out of order. Today 2 out of all 3 stalls in both mens rooms did not work. The only open one in the store disgusting as usual. Absolutely terrible location, they are always out if even basic items and their shelves are frequently empty. I actually took pictures because I just couldn't believe how empty they were in the middle of the day, how is it so many items don't get restocked. And this isn't a one time thing I've noticed this for months, I actually made the decision not to come back to this store it's always so dirty and they don't even have what I need. Luckily there's a Ross and Aldi next door and Target down the street those stores will be getting my business from now on. read more

To be honest, my go to spot for spots like this has a sweet white bull terrier with a red circle around one eye as a mascot. Yes, I'm eluding to the "T" word. That being said, I was in the neighborhood and needed a few things so I thought I would check this Walmart out. This place is huge!!!! You almost need a GPS to locate items, although being a non-regular maybe that isn't always the case. This place is clean!!!! Having had a less than pristine experience at a neighboring Walmart and though I'm not necessarily a germophobe, clean is a good thing. The employees are friendly!!!! Having circumvented a section in this jumbo store more than Magellan around the Cape of Good Hope a kind worker escorted me personally to where I needed to be. The checkout person didn't throw things in a pile when bagging!!!! She was even friendly. If I have any negatives at all about my experience at Walmart it relates to the "mega" experience. The sheer immensity of the place not only makes it tough to snoop around, but also keeps you from keeping your mind on the task at hand. Does that sound petty? I'm not sure if it was because Holiday is in the air, or because the place is so big there is a lag time between customers, but I was pretty pleased. I will continue to stand by Spuds Mackenzie, but on occasion I will definitely stop back here. read more

I came to this store to buy all of one specific item because I needed everything they had and then some. I had an employee at the Glen Ellyn store print an inventory list of which Walmart had what. I had a 5 store route planned. The store had less than half of their inventory on display. When I asked where the remaining items were, the snarky woman at the service desk repeatedly said "if it's not on the shelf, it's not in the store." I begged her to look in the computer, but she refused to even type the item number in and repeated: "if it's not on the shelf, it's not in the store." Guess what else isn't on the shelf or in your stores? Decency, respect, intelligence or my money. Every other walmart I dealt with sucked at service too, but this one was far and away THE WORST!!!! Disgusting filthy store with expired food and soooo many employees don't wear their masks properly, especially those by the doors. Gentleman with pony tail always has wrap below his nose and yelled at me he has copd. (Doubtful) Well Walmart; maybe he shouldn't be the front door pushing carts in!!!! You think?! This is by far my favorite Walmart in the Chicagoland area. If you've ever been to a Walmart in central Illinois (outside of the absolute urban areas), this Walmart is most similar to those. The workers are friendly, they want to help you and even ask if you need help. It's just a nice place to shop and they have most everything you need! read more

I would give zero stars if I could. We went there for a few quick things. I had both my children with me, ages 2 & 4. My oldest had to use the bathroom so we went in at the beginning of the visit. I was so disgusted with what I saw in the women's bathroom. No toilet paper in any of the stalls. Mostly because it was thrown all over the floors. One stall had blood all down the outside of it. I told customer service how bad it was and she paged a manager. I believe his name was Parth. He walked by me at customer service and just told the service agent I'll handle it. Pretty rude since he didn't even stop to apologize or anything, but nothing I haven't seen at Walmart before. We needed cat litter and a few other hinge so we continued around the store. The trip probably took 45 minutes, as being with two children can be an adventure. After we checked out my youngest had to go potty. The bathrooms had not been touched. I mentioned it to the greeter on the way out and she said they didn't have any maintenance that night. (It was 7 pm on a busy Sunday, couldn't the manager at least go fill toilet paper?? Compared to other Walmarts, this location seems to be kept clean and organized. The one thing I didn't like while we visited this location just a couple of days ago, was when I asked the guy pulling his stock to the location he had to drop it off at, seemed to be upset that I asked where a certain item was. He wasn't very friendly. I gave this location 3 stars because I like the fact that it's clean and organized. Also, the location is not too congested. But some of the employees need to work on their social skills when a customer is asking for assistance. read more

We do the majority of the shopping here. By we I mean I go with my girlfriend and she's the responsible one looking out for the great deals while I wander the store and look at the electronics, magazines, and tools. I also tend to sneak things in the shopping cart that was not on the list. But the good thing is, Walmart has the best prices for name brand and store brand product. They even beat out the grocery store next door that rhymes with "Mood for Chess." They recently finished a lengthy construction project that really opened up the front of the store. It looks nice and modern and welcoming to all. There is an abundance of help on the floor in every dept and I haven't had to wait in long lines because they actually have cashiers on shift. How many times have you gone to another popular one stop shop and have to wait because there is only 2 cashiers working? Not at my Walmart. The only complaint is, it takes them a little bit longer to restock the shelves after a busy weekend. I still have yet to try the new Buffalo flavored wheat-skinny crackers (haha...get it?) because the shelf is always empty. Each time I go I think to myself how tasty these things must be since I have yet to experience buffalo bliss... but I digress. Go there if you are looking to save bucks on meals for one or meals for many. Not to mention they have other great things than food. Video games! DvD's! TOYS! You can't beat the $5 DvD bin. The worst service I ever experienced. I scheduled my grocery pickup between 9pm-10pm and got there at exactly 10pm and this lazy kid had the nerve to tell me he closed up at 9:50pm. I was told to reschedule for the following day. I'm a flight attendant and explained that I'm flying out early in the morning. He told me to go ahead and cancel my order. Wowwwww that is plain lazy! I asked to speak to his manager but he said his was gone for the day so I asked to speak to a store manager and was put on hold for over a half hour without any return back to me being put on hold. I called the store pressed 0 but the phone rang off the hook before going silent. I decided to call curbside pick up, what do you know...no answer. I called pharmacy but it was closed. I called electronics, someone picked up and immediately hung up. This is Walmart's finest LAZY staff! This is not the first time I've encountered this but this will be the LAST! I will post everywhere possible for this stupidity and spread the word in the parking lot if I have to!! read more

There is a middle aged gentleman that unfortunately, I did not catch his name. He wears glasses and is usually working in the returns/ customer service area. Walmart is very lucky to have him as an employee. He is genuine, helpful and an all around great person. You don't really see that anymore.
