The store is a mess. They don't offer tap to pay unless you download their app and the workers are less than helpful to put it politely . Just needed some work clothes. Of course I had to use self check out and when I realized I couldn't pay on my phone .. like every other store .. they told me to download an app . The workers are rude and will run their mouths. They don't care. The girl back in cosmetics really is rude she will make you wait while she stands on her phone telling you to hold on sucking her at her teeth every time you ask her something. The people getting online orders will run you over with the carts and they don't care if you are trying to get something off the shelf they will stand in front of you to get theirs first. I have been him by one of the carts before and looked at like it was my fault. I get road rage in that store. I try to stay out of there any more. Had to pick up a few things Sunday morning for a special luncheon. Decided to venture over to the clothing section where nothing had prices. Picked out a few items, walked up to 4 cashiers, that were standing there going off about the store, and asked for a price. "Cindy" told me nothing is priced "due to the tariffs and our corporate office puts the prices in". So, I asked, do the prices fluctuate? She stated, "No, it's due to that President we have in office, isn't he crap?" I then replied, "I don't think you should be sharing your political views". She then told me that Walmart shared her views...WHAT?? They encourage their employees to disparage and slander the President of the United States? Very disappointed lately with Elyria Walmart. Their pick up Service and Delivery service has taken a turn for the worse for the past few months and continues to decline. Their communication has nearly disappeared. They will tell you it's going to be late and will keep you updated and then never get back to you. The next day, cancelled my order due to never picked up and it was a delivery order. If they are having a problem filling the delivery and pickup orders, allow less orders taken during certain times. You can never call the store. All calls get transferred and then disconnected. Come on Walmart, step up your game. You used to be so efficient. read more

Walmart is really going down hill. would shop here because of the low prices but honestly I'd rather shop at Aldi or Meijer now as their prices are seemingly way better. This store is ok. They are remolding or rearranging the store and that has been kind of annoying. I dont like that we are still entering in one door and haven't moved forward with opening both doors. The pharmacy staff there is great. They seem to have things stocked there which is positive. I have even been able to find lysol, rubbing alcohol, and chlorox wipes. The only thing that is a little annoying is all the walmart employee shoppers that are doing the shopping. We visited this store around 7:30 pm and the parking lot was pitch black. The lights were not turned on and we felt very unsafe. We also noticed the baby food was locked up so we will likely not be back to this Walmart, as it seems unsafe. The safety of the parking lot was not a priority to the store management since they refused to use the lights in the parking lot to keep their patrons safe. We will not return. read more

I like this Walmart more than others, but I do find it to be a pain to get in and out of the parking lot due to the location of the store. They have a great selection of the flavored waters I like from there. A better selection than other stores I've been to. This store has a full grocery which carries the majority of staples, but not quite everything that you need. Case in point, no asparagus today. But they did have 4 varieties of Great Lakes beer. Prices are cheap enough and they have most major brands as well as the Walmart 'Great Value' brand. Went to the kitchen electronics department and they did not have the coffee accessory we were looking for. Overall a fine place to stop if you need some food staples, but I think I would go else where if I needed something specific. read more

I had to share this debacle. And I hate Walmart so it just adds to it. They reset the store and you can't find anything now. My new favorite thing(sarcasm) is that half the stuff you need now is locked in cases and you have to buzz for a sales associate which take their good ol'time getting to you to unlock the case to get my 4.00 Equate brand of facial toner. They then carry it to a closed register and you have to go to an open register manned by an associate and ask for your item then they have to run to the register it was left at by the other sales associate that retrieved it from the case for you. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! My trip to Walmart ended up being 3 times the amount of time it needed to be. I'll just go to Target. I dont need the drama. Lol read more

The grocery delivery is terrible. They randomly ship some of your groceries instead of delivering them. They use delivery drivers who consistently get lost. (I live 3 minutes from the store). They are frequently late sending the groceries out. Today it's been over 2 hours and I still don't have my groceries. I am definitely trying a different store. Hope I never have to order from them again! BTW, I am not physically able to go to the store and get my groceries myself. When you try to call to check your order no one answers the phone. read more

DON'T EAT THE CHICKEN!!! Just returned a rotisserie chicken that was undercooked and still had blood in it. Turns out I'm not the first one to complain. I have to say this place is just not that bad. I travel a lot. I have gone to a lot of Walmart's all over the country. I have been to this one about 12 times now. First off it is well lit. A lot of Walmart's are so dark inside. They try to save money on the light bill or something. Which is ridiculous!! Because, I need to see what I am shopping for. I want to be able to see the things in the store. Here you can see. Good lighting. The items are well stocked and laid out nicely so you can see it all. It is very clean inside. The staff is friendly. Plus, there is one stop shopping here. Because, you can get everything you need here. There is a Bank, a Nail Salon, a Hair Salon, you can get your Taxes done ,as well as a few other shops and services inside. I think this is the only Walmart around for awhile of a drive. For certain the only one in Elyria. But, it is good. One stop shop and it is clean. Even a nice variety of food products. It is worth the trip. read more

For what it is, this may be the best Walmart in Northeast Ohio. It is fairly new and huuuge. Anytime I can't seem to find something at all the other locations, like Christmas lights this past season, this one has it. Shelves are always fully stocked, even after Black Friday! Getting in and out of here can be a pain sometimes as it is down a long street lined with all sorts of other stores. read more

I know I know but for a Walmart, it is the biggest one I have EVER seen, so just for that it gets three stars. I mean the whole Deli and Fresh produce part of the store is really nice. There is just SO much stuff at this place. It literally goes on forever. And it never ever closes...Downside, other than the fact that it's Walmart, the people. If you are in the mood for a good people watching experience, I would park it at McDonald's and just drink a cup of coffee and relax. The people that come to this Walmart alone, deserve their own website. I have never seen more trashy, hillbilly, disgusting, rude people in one large building. OMG - Just so as everyone out there knows .................... I was always a bit of a 'grocery store snob! However, I have been shopping at Walmart in Elyria for quite some time now, and up until yesterday was "OK" with it. I bought some SAMS 1/2lb burgers. Cooked them for dinner last night ................................. they tasted like cardboard, so much so that I went and checked the date on the package ............................. Lordy, Lordy, 10/15/15. Thank God nobody in the house actually consumed them. OMG - never again! I'm back to being a grocery store snob. I cannot get over the fact that these were 4 month passed the expiration date! What else might my family have consumed that was NOT checked?
