Looking for some great tea? Where this is definitely the place. There are sooo many options to choose from and the owners are super helpful. I love making trips to Voila to get my daily dose of teas! Some of my favorites are "Walnuts around here", "coconut almond kisses" and "Fruity Tutti"

I have been going to Voila since 2015 when I first visited my prospective school, Mount st Mary's. Since then, I have made a habit of visiting Voila every single time I was in town. Years later, the owner still remembers my family and I and each time I visit, it's like coming back home! I cannot recommend this shop enough. Their service is amazing. Their tea variety is incredible and they have so many cute trinkets for tea lovers to enjoy!! Can't wait for my next visit

Just enjoyed the best caramel rooibos purchased earlier today. Thanks for the suggestion to get the new strainer and to add the spearmint green!! I'm so happy at the moment :)

***Update: I received highly inappropriate responses from the business owner, Ms. Clark, who took it to a whole different level by hurling insults, making multiple false accusations, and make it a goal to defame and assassinate my character. I understand that it is the owner's right to defend their business, but Ms. Clark has made her's a personal attack on me. Highly unprofessional! I absolutely love supporting local and small businesses, but nutty/deranged/racist actions & verbiage of online bullying and belittlement, I do not. I fully stand behind my original review. I hope others do not encounter such an experience! P.S. Not all Asians look alike. NO STARS. Bye! #choosekindness #kindnessmatters #betteryourself ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Voila! Tea Shop is owned by Mary Jean Clark and the shop holds different types of loose-leaf tea in various blends. The place itself is small, and the walls have shelves of different canisters of teas with handwritten labels. There are also magnetic containers in which you pull so you can sniff to your heart's desire - however, it seems as if the loose leaf blends in those need some replacing, as they were just manhandled way too much by the public and lost most of its scent and had a mildew-y odor to them. Yikes! If you're curious about a certain tea from the larger canister, you can ask one of the staff members to locate one of the magnetic containers for you to sniff. I personally was not impressed with the place - the variety of tea blends didn't seem to be anything unique or special, compared to the other specialty tea shops in- and outside of Frederick. Also, there didn't seem to be much organization or order in terms of the different types/categories of teas, especially if you wanted to peruse at your own leisure. There were some samplings where they feature 3 flavors, offered in both 'hot' and in 'cold' temperature - I thought that this was a nice added touch, as some prefer their teas warm or cold; also, you are able to notice that the flavors are pronounced differently at certain temperature. There is an area in the back where you can get your chosen 'tea mix' made into a beverage and some baked goods that are delivered by a local bakery for purchasing, but there aren't any seating areas for you to enjoy them. The staff members themselves were also unable to answer questions or offer recommendations, variations, and/or alternatives. I'm glad I was able to check this place out, but would not go back. +underwhelming selections of teas T____T +not-so-helpful staff T____T +some samplings offered (hot and cold) +no seating area to drink your beverage(s)

The owner, Mary Jean, is friendly and knowledgeable about the teas. A vast varieties and adorable accessories for a fancy tea party! They always have teas to sample and when we are downtown it's a must for us to visit. We Never leave empty handed!

A variety of loose teas that are freshly made. A woman named Anne waited on us and explained the process of making tea. There are beautiful fine china tea cups and more modern cups that infuse the tea and deliver it directly into the tea cup. I really liked the vanilla lemon tea. They also serve scones and cookies. The turtle scone we bought was scrumptious and delicious. The staff was nice, but did not allow us to take pictures inside the shop. I would love to go back and get some tea and more of those delicious scones. Thanks Anne for the tour and information.

So the common market has always been a huge staple for me and I really appreciate the variety of vegan and gluten free options they have every time I visit home. I've never really gone to the location in 7th street, but I decided yesterday morning to grab a bite to eat and order a drink. I never really anticipated a bad experience, and it wasn't all that terrible, however, the clerk completely forgot to make my breakfast wrap and there was a lady that ordered 10 mins after me that got her food before me. I was already half way through my drink and I was shocked. The clerk even looked at me and said "oh sorry I forgot about your wrap it's coming out soon". To top it all off I ended up getting sick when I ate half of it, and I feel like the only reason the wrap made me sick to my stomach was because the young man was rushing to get my order out. Not a very good first time experience at this location, and it's sad to say this will be my last time here because the last thing I need is food poisoning. Other than that, the cashiers were helpful and friendly and the store was nice and clean.

Not very Common for a market!!…read more Everything here is exceptional. I love all the fruit, I literally just ate a peach and was so compelled to write about it. The staff, while is mostly comprised of college age hippies are knowledgeable and actually care. The whole store is very clean and the meat counter while very small screams old school home made!! The sausages looked so good I had to buy some, and after cooking them up with some onions and peppers my neighbors above me who are vegans were peeking as they chewed their grass and had to rethink their decisions on eating food that my food eats. There are fresh made sandwiches that they will press for you and give it that grilled awesomeness that only comes when your doing something special with meat and cheese and good bread pressed with 400 degrees of steel resulting in a sandwich that makes you want to light a subway franchise on fire. Now on my most recent trip, covid is rampantly knocking off people so a lot of the fun stuff has been put away. Normally they have fresh cooked food that you can box up hot and take and eat. The selection ranges from American favorites like loaf of meat and spaghetti to Indian food to soups and salads ( spinach salad is good, the dressing makes it the bomb dot com ) and fresh cookies and breads oh my. ( Public Notice: no lions or tigers ) You will spend more money per item here than Walmart. They don't have as good of a selection as Wegman's. They don't have a coupon app thingy that makes you think your saving money like everyone else. But you will feel like your saving baby seals and once you leave and start to load stuff into your vehicle a rabbit will wink at you in a attempt to say thank you. The lesson here is pay more money for food that tastes like food and not canned crap. Yes, we all like to save money, and that's noble. But there is a time to eat your extra long chili cheese coney ( much love sonic ) and there is a time to bite into a peach and feel like your a little kid again and have wonderful sweet juice roll off your chin and life is once again, is worth living. Stay hungry my friends, - JW
