Walmart supercenter of Freehold has become a true disappointment. In the summer the were renovating and now it is march and the store is messy. Has no selection. Selves are empty and dirty. I trave 29 mins to go there but i am now going to go to a more lical one because of the state of this. read more

I'll admit that I'm not a big fan of Wal-Mart as other sites that I have been in have not impressed me much. Reason being is usually the cleanliness of each site is not very well kept. If I am going to go to Wal-Mart this is the one that I go to. They just finished a few months ago doing a huge remodeling to get it to be a super Wal-Mart that has literally everything you could need all in one place. The reason I like this Wal-Mart better than most of the other ones is just for that reason. It's brand new so it's really clean at this point and it appears they are making an effort to keep it that way. As you've probably been to a Wal-Mart before there is not much to say besides that this is a full grocer and all the other things they sell. The one thing with this site much like all of their other stores is they never have enough cashiers for the amount of customers that are on line. I have waited a very long time even in express lanes to get out of this place. Usually my shopping trip is shorter than the wait in the line. Don't know if Wal-Mart just has trouble keeping good staff or if it's for some other reason but I just kind of feel they all have this problem. I'd say stop in here real quick if you need something but you will likely wait in line longer than it took for you to pick up what you needed. Oh well. read more

Since the renovation of this Wal*Mart, it seems to have gotten a lot better. It is connected to a not so great area, but you won't find nearly as many sketchy customers here. The employees are always about and helpful, and for the most part, it is very clean and organized. The market area is very fresh and kept up with well. Overall, still a typical layout of any other Wal*Mart Supercenter. read more

Ordered Mobil 1 motor oil. Received Premier Protein shakes. Called customer care. They are unable to reorder the correct merchandise since it is another department. Seriously. Stay away from Walmart.com They do not know what they are doing. Thank God I used a credit card. Will dispute the charge. Incapable of getting a simple order right. I just had the worse experience that i've ever had at any Walmart. One of the cashiers named JENNIFER literally took 35 minutes to bag my items. She was super slow and there was so many people on line all waiting. She did not even speak to tell me my total. She did not look up once. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE SERVICE. Went here today to buy a grill and a kids ride on toy. We asked for help in toys and the lady came and said she would need to talk to her manager and we stood there for 30 mins and decided to leave. We went to the grills and were told to tell them at check out we wanted to purchase a pre assembled grill again she needed a manager and NO MANAGERS around. Be aware that the pharmacy department at the Freehold Walmart takes care of their friends first before taking care of customers who have been waiting a very long time on line. Today, 8/25/19 at about 12:45 to 1 pm, I went to the pharmacy and waited 15-20 minutes on line and when the assistant pharmacist finished with the customer he was taking care of, he moved to another cash register and took care of another person who had just come in. I complained to the assistant but he did no seem to care that it was my turn and that I had been waiting for such a long time; instead he started to argue with me. I decided to leave the items I had picked up and went to another store and another pharmacy. read more

Walmart is good for a few things, besides being conveniente to me I can find here some decent toys and some house goods. Their grocery department is not all bad either. But, what really upsets me about this place is how the manager of the cashiers treats them. She is so nasty, I always feel bad for the people working there. She acts as though she is the CEO of Walmart. Urgh! Customer service is definitely lacking here. Get it together Walmart, and we can probably come here more often. The two star rating goes out to this Walmart because they always have ridiculously long lines!!! Hire some cashiers already! I'm mean you spend 20 mins shopping around the store to then have to turn around and wait in line between 5, 10, 15, 20mins... And yes, once I actually waited in line for 20 mins! I know because I timed it! Once they resolve the short staff issues this location will be about a 3 to 4 star. But as it stands, it's 2 stars!! i dont live in the area but i dont mind traveling 30 min to shop here as opposed to that dump in Old bridge . The food here is super fresh especially the bread and the corn. I come here because some of the things are cheaper. Nothing else matters. The bathrooms are always disgusting here and the lines are always way too long. The only good thing about this place is it has a Subway which my family likes. read more

I am writing a new review of this store because it is so much worse in terms of their ability to get you out of the store. Note this is being offered in light of corona virus crisis. Today at about 8:00am I go in the store to get a few necessities, including rubber gloves. There was one bank of automated check outs available with one clerk to monitor. With long line, at lest 8-9 in front of me. There were two clerk manned registers with equally long lines. When it came my turn, after I had seen numerous customers checking out using the screen which can't be done without finger touch and seeing no cleaning of any of the terminal buttons or screens by them, I ask the clerk how often they clean in light of the contagious nature of this virus and was curtly and rudely told we clean don't you tell us what to do. I replied that clerks in Wegmans who wore gloves, cleaned each terminal after customer used and she said again rudely well don't come and shop here anymore. The worst grocery store experience particularly in light of what is happening I could ever imagine. The manager of this store should be removed read more

This Walmart is huge. it's kept clean and it's nice inside. Easy to find what you want, plenty of parking outside. Nice place to shop.

Im in the bathroom and this place is disgusting. One stall has no lock thefloors are wet and the bathroom supplies are low. I just arrived here and I think I would rather go to a better maintained store. Customers are saying they are going to targets instead. read more

I've ordered goods at Walmart.com three times in my life and I've regretted it every time. 35 minutes on line to pick up one bottle of oil on a Wednesday night. Just kill yourself in the slowest most painful way you can imagine because it is less agonizing than waiting on this line. read more

Don't buy your bread here. I have purchased bread twice from this location and it was moldy and disgusting. Fresh bread from the bakery I would recommend but don't buy retail bakery products. They need to do a better job with inventory. read more

I usually go in, get what I need and then pay and get out. I don't really like staying at any Walmart for more than I have to. I used to have a huge problem with the checkout lines because it can be very busy but only two lines are open. Now that they opened up a self checkout area I can buy my bag of chips and not wait in front of the person who bought 50 cans of soup. Never had a problem finding what I wanted. read more

Thi place is the ninth ring oh hell and I won't be biased. All wall marts fall into the same category consumer gluttony at its best one step above k mart one step below target. The one gleam of light is showing up in the evening and seeing all of the creatures of the night in the store. I can see where all of the Walmart memes come from. But I do have to say they have decent cheap options for clothing and decent grocery items. I would stay away from a lot of the other items but hey no one goes to Walmart to buy a couch... I would give zero stars if I could. Walking in I seen a man peeing in the parking lot. That should have been my first clue not to go in. Since the store was in a nIce area I thought it would be a nice trip. Shelves were empty and dIsorganized. The prices on the shelves didn't match the products so no idea how much anything cost. The cashier was so slow the line didn't move for easily 15 minutes. I brought my own bags, thought bagging it myself would make a difference. Nope, and on top of it the cashier scanned almost every item more than once. So not only did I bad my own items( something I usually do to help speed things along) I got charged for items I didn't purchase. When I got frustrated with it the cashier told me all she was doing was her job. Over charging your customers shouldn't be "doing" your job. Some of the other reviews have hit it right on the head. I can say this, it is very entertaining here!! You take a look at the people shopping here and the people that work here and wonder......where the hell do they come from???? Go to any other store in the area and you will see people that for the most part, live in the area. Not here!!! These people look like the past winners of the one tooth contest in Arkansas!!! Getting help in here is almost mission impossible!! You will find someone to ask, but just don't expect an answer. I have to figure that Walmart hires these people because they are so easy to exploit. Something Walmart is well known for either being it's employees, or the people that make the products they sell. This store, while a step up from most of the Walmarts you will see, is still a WALMART! A big selection, but just a little bit of everything. They have recently added a grocery section that is pretty well stocked. I usually avoid Walmart unless it is a last resort. There is a documentary called "Walmart, The High Cost of Low Prices" watch it and it will be very hard to get yourself to shop here ever again!! read more

I came to this store not knowing what to expect. Being the city slicker I am, I never before entered a WalMart, let alone shopped at one. I was dragged here by my better half, in search of bargains on some staples we needed (socks, underwear, toiletries, pet supplies, etc.) I was pleasantly surprised by the Back to School savings; spiral notebooks for 17 cents is an unreal bargain. The Hanes and Fruit of the Loom offerings were the same you'd find in any other store, except these were at a much better price, and the other people shopping looked like something out of Deliverance. I wouldn't be surprised if there were Meth heads and other trailer park folk shopping alongside me. At 12 midnight, the place was hopping and busy as can be, although sadly, the self checkout lanes were closed, and there were only 2 registers open. This was a major inconvenience. My heart bled for the employees, though. We're getting good deals at the expense of their dignity and rights, and this part of the experience left me with feelings of guilt. It was an interesting experience, albeit one that brought me back to the backwaters of Arkansas or some other godforsaken black hole state. read more

I had to call 3 times before anyone answered to find out if they had something in Stock. I ordered a tv online and had it shipped and it came all cracked. There's manager in tv electronic said I would have to order another one and that he couldn't waive the expedited shipping. I am currently on hold waiting to see if they have their comforter I ordered in Stock because they shipped them wrong one and somehow she hung up on me. I will never order anything from Walmart.com. especially if it's time sensitive because mostly likely they will mess up their order. read more

Needs new management!! This is the worst place to shop. I was so happy that a Supercenter was coming to my area I have shopped in them while on vacation and they are great. This one is terrible I will be suprised if it doesn't close. 25-30 cash registers but only 2 were open about 1 mile apart from each other and one was an express. In line for over 25 minutes and the cashier was looking to go on her break. Outdated bread, Outdated salad but they did have someone turning over the fruit. I did see people working but not pulling Outdated merchandise. I was completely turned off. I bought what I usually buy from walmart and nothing more. While traveling I couldn't resist the bakery department (not this time it was not appealing after I saw outdated bread). Salad was past the date (water logged). Even the fresh meats did not appear fresh.I will not make the drive. read more

Same complaints as the other reviews. They are consistently out of stock on many items. I walk in with a shopping order and at least 1/4 goes unfilled because they are out of stock. I have spoken to management on numerous occasions about it and have received lots of excuses; mainly blaming corporate systems and the distribution center. As a customer, I dont care whose fault it is, get it fixed. Management had their excuses all ready for me, so you can tell they get numerous complaints about it. Also they have very few lines open, and many times I have noticed the price on the shelf did not equal the price it rings up at. Especially if the item is a sale or "rollback" item; you will be overcharged. Only reason it got a 2nd star was that the place overall "seems" clean. read more
