We left Rosewell, NM and stopped in Gallup, NM for the night on our way to Sedona, AZ. We had dinner at 305 Fire Pizza, a popular wood-fired pizzeria known for its authentic, artisan pizzas with a charred, chewy crust made from heritage grain flour and cooked in an 850-degree oak-fired oven. The restaurant opened its doors in December of 2024. We really enjoyed the following pizzas and recommend trying: *Hot Honey Pizza with plum tomatoes, pepperoni, Kalamata olives and their sweet and spicy 305 hot honey glaze. *Pepperoni cheese pizza (be sure to drizzle their 305 hot honey glaze). We had excellent customer service by our waitress Naomi. Jenny the owner, came over to check on our table and was very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is only open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. There's indoor and outdoor seating. We really enjoyed sitting outside next to their fish pond and listening to the live music. You won't be disapointed here. We read a lot of reviews and figured we would try it. It surpassed our expectations. The owner was very nice and we chatted for a while. The patio dining area is very quaint and nice. They have live music on some evenings. The pizza was great!!! They will be gettng their beer and wine license in April, 2026. We have arrived. It took us all winter - but we finally stopped in at 305 Fire here in Gallup, and let me say that without any shade towards our locality, we felt transported to San Francisco, Miami, or perhaps even some hidden away gem in Palermo. From the unassuming adobe facade right off 2nd street, to the encahnting Koi pond with real lily pads, and the unforgettable first bite into a crust so light, that it can reasonably be described as "delicious air" - we were simultaneously wowed and humbled by our first dining experience at 305 Fire. Like seriously, somebody went to Pizza school. My girlfriend and I more than appreciate the goopiest, cheesiest, drippy slice of NY or deep dish whenever we can find it out of town, but we're undoubtedly committed to coming back often - especially to soothe our big box store stresses. We were traveling from Sedona to Albuquerque on I-40 and needed dinner. It was late and we felt like pizza. The reviews were amazing. We ordered a pepperoni and prosciutto pizza with onion. You could tell from the top notch ingredients (plum tomatoes, whole milk real mozzarella, sourdough flour crust) that it was going to be delicious. This pizza was fantastic! Not what I expected. I have seen this little treasure tucked away, with an inviting fire that is lit on days they are open (for now Thursday-Saturday). The sign "Wood Fire" pizza enticed me to give this place a try. Walking in was like entering a familiar home. You are immediately hit with the aroma of warm smells coming from their ovens, toasting fermented pizza dough, complemented by their various toppings from basil, fennel sausage, green chilis and pepperoni. Check the menu there is something for every one. I ordered a Margherita pizza and Balsamic Strawberry salad. The salad came first it was refreshing arugula, with sweet strawberries balanced by salty peppercorns, goat cheese (which isn't everyone's bag but could not be left out) it was all wrapped up in one delectable earthy bite. It was only an introduction to what came next. The Margherita pizza, this is always a go to for me with three simple ingredients tomato sauce, basil and mozzarella. These staples were not understated, not one bit. The scent of basil hit me before I had my first bite. Not what I expected to find on a busy road in the middle of old town Gallup. The sauce was full bodied like a tasteful explosion of slow roasted tomatoes. The mozzarella dressed the red sauce with a golden bubbly melty flavorful interior. Every bite was a spatter of flavor. Try it for yourself. I think you will be impressed. Even if you are just looking for a cozy atmosphere, it's almost like you are in another city/town. We have driven by this place a few times and finally stopped by on a Thursday afternoon while out running errands. They do have limited hours, so make sure you double check the hours before you stop by. First impression, super cute and clean. Kinda out of place for Gallup, got a Colorado hipster vibe but it was a breath of fresh air. Staff was friendly, seated us right away and everyone said hi. They weren't busy only a few other tables taken up. They have indoor and outdoor seating. We sat inside due to heat but it looked very cute outside. Server dropped menus and got us some waters. Came back and took our drink and food order. They don't have fountain drinks, just some iced tea options and Zia bottled sodas. For pizza, we weren't sure how many we would need to feed three kids (2 of them teen girls) and 2 adults, so we ordered 2 pepperoni, 1 sausage and green Chile and one margherita. Service was a little slow after that. The pizza itself came out quick and actually came out before our drinks, which was odd since we only ordered 3 Zia drinks and two teas. The pizzas are a good size (maybe a medium size from dominoes would be a good comparison) but they are thinner crust, so we actually only had about 4 slices left, but my teens were pretty hungry. In terms of taste, they were good. I love basil though so the margherita could have used more but overall we enjoyed it. It is pricier than your fast food pizza but in comparison to some of the other local restaurants, price, quality and value were there. I would recommend it and will likely go back. read more

Excellent pizza in a lovely venue! The omekase (chef's choice) pizza with prosciutto, grapefruit, and creamy white cheeses was delicious. The pizza dough is chewy and crispy in the right places, thanks to their hot wood-fired oven. The homemade kombucha is delicious too - crisp and sour. The owners, Chuck and Jenny, both came to serve and talk to us. They are attentive and responsive to their customers in this newly-opened restaurant. In the winter you can sit inside the large windows and look out on the patio; in warmer weather the water fountain and grape vine arbor will be lovely. The menu has some good options for kids and we'll definitely be returning again many times. read more

What a wonderful surprise to find this place right in the middle of G-town. Great ambiance, wonderful staff, there is an outside space in the back with a cozy fireplace too. It was a busy, lively place, and different pizzas flying out from the wood stove pizza oven. I only ordered one pie for two and it was more than enough, but tbh I could have engulfed it solo. Crispy undercarriage, little flop, the toppings and sauce were perfect, the crust was great and did not get soggy. Really great pizza solid 8.7 slice which is really good for wood fired southwest pizza and absolutely INSANE in Gallup, NM ffs.
