Saturday june30, 6:30 am. Went to check out not one register was open...I asked employee for help she said you have to use self check out. Ok that's fine for a few items but I ended spending over 200.00 as I was finishing checking myself out another employee walks by so I mentioned it to her she said oh checkstand 14 is open but she don't have the light on...she's hiding!! This is the first time I've been in a Walmart Supercenter and daaaym it's huge. I'm glad they put food in here because I need to make sure I eat lunch and dinner before I get all my items and checkout. You can probably take a nap in the bedding aisle and no one would know! The people who work here are the rudest you've ever seen. I have complained to their management about them allowing people with pets into their store which is against California law. Last month I filed a legal complaint with Santa Clara County about the same issue (pets in this grocery store). I'll pay a few cents more and go to Target instead. This is about the nail salon section in Walmart. My girlfriend and I were referred by someone to get our nails done there. We got the pedicure. Everything was going fine until another customer came in. I guess there wasn't an extra hand to help the customer, so the lady who was prepping me decided she will stop what she was doing and go assist the other customer. I waited in the chair for 30 minutes till she was finished with that customer. My pedicure took over an hour to do. I was not too happy. read more

This store and a lot of Walmart stores have some of the worst employees I've ever met in retail and I've worked in retail for over 17 years. You have to search for employees, there is never the right prices on things, and because of the piles under scanners and the employees unwillingness to take care of it during their shift...we no longer have the option to make sure of the items price. The lock up everything from underwear to deodorant and all I'm waiting for is them to start having armed escorts for their shoppers. Dirty as can be stores, and even worse in the bathroom. I hate shopping at night also because there never seems to be any managers that know what their job entails let alone what customer service is and forget returning anything cause they close customer service like we won't need to do returns after 9pm. This was my first time using the pick up order and it was horrible. I just ordered bubble wrap and tape and it took so long for my order to be ready. First on the app it stated it would be ready by noon and I ordered it around 11 o'clock. But when I got there at 1 they said it wasn't going to be ready until 4, and I said it's just bubble wrap and tape. Then they told me to come back in an hour and it would be ready. So I did a little more shopping and came back at 3 a whole 2 hours later. I called again asking for my order then I was told to go inside and go to the tower, and my order would be there. So I went inside put in the given information, but yet again my order wasn't ready. So we called for assistance on the machine several times, but no one came. So we went to customer service and then finally after waiting for about 10 minutes, an employee came and ran my order through the system. She said someone had picked it up. When no one did. Then an employee came and gave us our order. She was rude and annoyed that she had to bring us our order when that's her job. Overall it was a bad experience and I could have just gone in to the store to get it myself, but I already paid for it. read more

I come to this Walmart when I'm in the area, great place to get some food, drinks, etc either on the way to LA/Vegas or a day at the beach. I like how its 24/7 at a very convenient location! Yes they have plenty of cheap stuff but the guality sucks! The cotton rounds and q-tips fall apart and the cotton falls off in the package. You can not get ANY help, you hunt for a worker who then pretends not to know English, or maybe they aren't pretending and they point to an approximate corner of the store. I can waste plenty of time on my own searching. I avoid Walmart as best as I can, the customer service is enough to make you run away. This WalMart in Gilroy is below standards of other Walmarts. It was dirty, the departments were a mess and every aisle had products all over the floor. Things on shelves were not in the right places, just everywhere. The person in Garden needed help, their was a line of about 15 and someone else was near the cashier that works there, but not helping. He was just talking to her and didn't even try to call someone else up there to help. Most Walmart also have standard of not letting someone shoe their piercings and having a dress code, not this one obviously. Seems the managment needs to train their employees with some more standards and respect. I don't feel like hearing about gossip about other employees when I'm trying to check out and their is a huge line. read more

This Walmart doesn't even deserve a Star. Especially the bakery Department. I placed an Order of an Hello Kitty Cake that was 2 tiered. I went in as the lady was heading out for the day. She took my order and and handed me a piece of receipt and told me to go pay for it and bring it back to her so she can attach it to her other order sheets. Went back 5 mins and was told she left. I was like wait, she told me to wait. HOW RUDE! She then called me the next day to bring In the receipt otherwise they wouldn't start on the cake. I took it in and she was on break, I was told. I tried to talk to the other ladies in there and none of them speak a lick of English. They hand signaled me to leave and come back. I was infuriated. I told them EFF THAT! She already made me come back 2x and my time doesn't revolve around their incompetency. Anyway, next day? Picked it up and i got to my car, the cake in there looked different. Different colors, the handwriting was also Horrible. Like it was made by someone who doesn't need to be working in a bakery. I'd go back to get my money but I didn't have time as my daughters bday was starting. Ate that horrible cake. I will be giving this walamart a bad review one star because I stop by here last week.On mother's day ,to send money there was a big line already . there customer service really bad. The manager that was in charge around 11:15am-12:18pm we asked the manager that was in charge to help her out, so the line would go faster. But this guy didn't wanna do anything he stay in the back for a long time..then after 20 mins came out and said he will get help.and this guy was just standing there walking around not doing anything, and just waited till the line to get longer. but all he had to do was get his keys so she can cancel something on the register to keep her from going. There were a lot off customer really upset about this guy. I think this guy need to get fired for not helping out his employee when she need. help and how the heck this guy got hired and got his training. everyone was surprise this guy us a manager with no respect to the customer and his employee. Most uneducated and inefficient group of employees I've ever met... from the employees working out on the field to the assistant manager that I finally tried to get some customer service from. Even the assistant manager of the entire store could not tell me whether they had any firewood or not, nor what brand or SKU... This place sucks. They have a bunch of employees but none of them are doing any work to benefit the customer. EVER. In the last two months that I have lived here they have completely rearranged the whole store so that customers can't find anything. It wasn't done to make things easier to find either. The store is set up in a way where you can walk for a very long time and never find what you need. Good luck finding an employee to help you. They avoid customers at all costs. Yesterday I went in and had to buy a heavy product, something that needed to stay in the cart and get scanned. Of course there were only two actual checkers working at three pm so their lines were twenty people long. I needed to get home so I had to choose self checkout. I am SO against self checkout! Walmart makes HUGE profits and the least they can do is provide customer service(and JOBS to actual people! They should provide a discount to people who use self checkout because it is saving them A LOT of money!Anyway since I never use self checkout I lifted the heavy item onto the conveyor belt so I could scan it. Conveyor belt doesn't work and I didn't realize there was a hand held scanner available. Ugh! Then I scan ONE package of about three hundred sheets of copy paper. It rings up as $30.00! Are you kidding me? So then I have to wait for the extremely lazy woman who is supposed to be "monitoring" self checkout but is really off chatting with a co worker. When she approaches me she's says absolutely nothing, and NEVER said a word to me through the whole transaction before walking away!!!!!! She never spoke! I think that is disgusting, inhuman, and unbelievable! How do you completely ignore another human? Then when I got home with the items I bought, I found that they were defective and needed to return them. We arrived around 845 and were told that customer service is closed. Ummmmm why? You are open until midnight and you have carts and carts and carts of returned items blocking customer service. Maybe have some of your employees put shit back on the shelves and assist your customers???? I let the employee know that I have been trying to return one particular item for at least five visits to Walmart and they are even "closed" at other times of the day. I also expressed that it's a very far drive for us and we have come back repeatedly. She tried to call a manager to help me... but guess what we response we got- "oh the manager is on break"..... of course they are for some reason the employee took pity on me and took me to the returns area to return my items but she was in a hurry because she kept telling me she was going to get in trouble for doing it. It felt like we were committing a crime or something!!!!! I didn't sleep the whole night last night wondering if she got in trouble because she actually helped a customer! I think it is disgusting that they have employees trained to complete returns but clearly threaten them with corrective action if they use their skills. This place is so awful! Something else I hate is the way they post an employee at the door to "scan" your receipt and verify whether you paid for everything. They treat customers like criminals and the person doing that job doesn't really verify anything. All they do is scan your receipt and then move on. Waste of a job! I like this Walmart, but the check outs are absolutely ridiculous. There have almost 30 registers, but only have three or less open, if you're lucky. Most of the employees are very slow, so it's a 30 minute or longer wait. The bathrooms are messy, with no one bothering to clean them. The customer service is horrible, due to their employee shortage. If you're in a hurry, then I suggest not going here because it takes forever to get out of that store. read more

Customer service is terrible! I called to see if they carried a specific fabric item and Patricia transferred me. No one answered in the fabric department. So I hung up and called back. It took me calling 3 times for someone to answer. It was Patricia. I told her no one was answering in that department and she said all she can do is transfer me again. What!?!? So she transfers me again. Someone in electronics answers. Wrong department. They said they had to transfer me to the sporting goods department because the fabric department doesn't have a phone. When the guy answered I said I was trying to get to the fabric department and he said "what do you want" how rude! How about " how can I help you?" Then he hangs up on me! And on top of all this rudeness the phones are staticky so it was hard to hear anything. Shame. read more

Tire service really sucks, installers extremely slow, l got there at 2pm and the place was completely empty no customers what so ever and it took them 1hr just to get started and 2hrs to install the four tires. Never enough registers open. Have waited more than an hour on more than one occasion to checkout. They have 8 self checkout lanes but usually 4 aren't open and at least 1 of the remaining is broken in some way. If you use a manned lane then watch out if the cashier makes a mistake. They won't correct it at the register like safeway or nob hill. No, you have to go to customer (lack of) service desk which always has a huge line of it's own. On one occasion I had to call the main store number in order to get someone assigned to customer service desk because everyone went on break with 20+ people in line The lines alone should really get this store only 1 star, but it does have a good range of stuff and is always there 24x7 so it gets an additional star read more

If you are coming here to sit in the waiting room to get your car worked on, don't expect a quality area to sit in. There is only one outlet available to plug in a device. All the others are for the tv and dvd player. The floor was not swept within the past 12 hours. A hispanic employee with a mustache was doing nothing with while attending the front desk. Walmart Supercenter 7150 Camino Arroyo Gilroy, Ca. 95020 I would give this store a rating below zero. On May 3,2016 I came into the Walmart Vision Center to get some glasses. I purchased two pairs and had a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses they said they could put lens in. To make a long story short they ended up destroying my Maui Jim frames. When they put the lens in they modified the frames thus voiding my Maui Jim warranty. This was not the only problem even though they destroyed my Maui Jims they had them for six week. One of the other pair of glass I purchased completely fell apart. From the minute I stepped into their Vision Department I was met with a lady who had no clue of what she was doing and totally messed up my order. I would never recommend this store to anyone.
