Was in Morgan Hill one evening and decided to shoot over to the Gilroy Outlets to check out this shop and Coach. I hadn't been to the outlets in years. I was impressed with the handbags and the helpfulness of the staff at this store. I've admired Kate Spade bags for years but only ever owned one I found at a thrift store. Many of the bags today are feminine and lovely in pastels with flowers. The sales staff helped me without ever making me feel pressured, which I greatly appreciate. I received an email yesterday (6/27/2014) from the Kate Spade mailing list saying that their new outlet location in Gilroy just opened up. The have a promo going on now through July 6th where you get 50% off your purchase + an additional 20% off handbags. Since I am a huge fan of the regular Kate Spade stores I decided to do an impromptu trip down to Gilroy today to check it out. On arrival (and I got there early around 10:30am to avoid the general crowds and heat) there was already a line consisting of a few people in front of the store waiting to get in. Similar to the Coach outlet store, they have a maximum occupancy and only let a certain number of people inside. That said, the wait was only a few minutes. Once inside it was pretty busy and there was already a line forming at the registers of about 10+ people. There was definitely a decent selection of bags, jewelry, clothing, and accessories, however I didn't see anything that I really liked. The handbag styles were not same as what you see in the regular Kate Spade stores and after picking up several handbags, I wasn't impressed with the feel and quality. I didn't spend too long looking at the jewelry since I don't typically wear any, but that was probably the best part of the store. It looked like they had some cute earrings Overall, I think this is nice store. They have a good selection and quite a wide range of colors and styles. However if you are like me and already have several Kate Spade bags, you may not see anything worth purchasing here. read more

I love this outlet store. What more to say. KATE SPADE is a fantastic brand usually very expensive. They are known for their bright colors, and you see that throughout the store. I have been here twice : two times on Black Friday for their fantastic selections of bags and wallets. I came here with my mom to window shop and we both ended up with items. The first thing i purchased was the green/aqua bag that I have in my photo, and the second time is the beige and royal blue bag that my mom ended up buying from them. Finally a Kate Spade outlet closer to home! Wasn't as crowded as I thought it would be on a holiday weekend, and the entire store was 50% off, an additional 20% off handbags. The store feels much larger and open than the Livermore location. Found a purse I liked, but they didn't have it in black, so got a different style that I'm glad I got instead! Goodness gracious, there's a whole lot of gorgeous and adorable in this store! Truthfully, I wasn't too familiar with her brand, as I don't seek out designer labels nor can I regularly shop at a high price point. But I have noticed some of her cute purses on customers at work. And I recall seeing a line outside the location at the Paragon Outlet. Honestly, I don't get that kinda fuss over some brands, like Coach (That C pattern on canvas? Not my cup of tea.) But I totally get the love for Kate Spade! Just passing by, something caught my eye and I was suckered in. The selection of purses out on display is impressive, including many types, colors, finishes, shapes, and sizes. There were all kinds of purses in all my favorite trends, such as animal print, nautical, quilt, neons, and pastels. There were sexy and sophisticated styles, but also ultra girly and youthful styles. I actually didn't plan on buying anything, but once I found a purse I absolutely loved, it didn't take much to convince me to get it. For one thing, I just got paid and everything was half off! Add to that the fact that everything is already discounted and the savings are huge. I ended up purchasing the Small Marguerite in the color Lilac Road. (See pic!) The ticket has it priced at $295, the receipt shows the original price at $239... What I ended up paying? $103.97!! Was pleasantly surprised to find that an additional twenty percent was taken off. Couldn't be any more thrilled! Service was good overall. They don't act like pretentious snoots here. Door girl didn't direct a "bye/thank you" to me as I was leaving though, but to my friend behind me who hadn't purchased anything. Be nice to your customers! But the positive... Anastasia, in particular, was great! She's a big reason why I ended up getting my bag. She acknowledged me, answered my questions, encouraged me to try on the purse, and went to the back to get a clean purse for me. I know this place is new and my positive experience is due largely in part to their amazing grand opening sale, but I'm definitely fan! read more

This store closes 30 minutes early than what has been specified on their website and also on the Gilroy outlet website as well. As I went to open the door, the store was dark and an associate walked up to me and said that they were closed. I asked what time the closing hours were and they stated 5:30 pm. When I checked the website, it was 6 pm. When I visited the store the next day, an associate at the register confirmed it was 6 pm. I called the main office to explain what happened and the store manager (or some manager) called to apologize for the situation. Before I was able to say anything, she was ready to get off the phone. I went on President's Day and they were having a really good sale...everything was 60% off! That had me lol. Right when you walk in, everything nicely laid out. The store isn't crammed with items. Everything has a place and it works. The only thing is there's a lot of people inside so that makes the store feel small and tight. I kinda feel like they almost needed someone outside to have a line start up since there was that many people inside, and with it being a good sale plus a good brand...I kinda felt like things were just taken so lightly, if that makes sense. Most of the handbags to wristlets and wallets are in the front to the middle of the store. There's clothes in the back and on the right side is where that have the clearance items. I ended up buying a wristlet that I have been needing and yes it was 60% off! I was one very happy girl! It's the one that is double zippered, one side for all your credit cards and the other side for your paper money and coins. It's nice and simple and just perfect for me. I Felt like when I was buying my item, I wasn't greeted with a cheerful, warm hello\smile. I felt like the girl was annoyed about something and let it get to her therefore not giving me the "best" experience while there. Overall, this place is is nice and spread out. 2014 YELP 365 CHALLENGE - 358/365 Awesome Kate Spade Outlet! I love that these are becoming more and more common because finding outlets for designer brands is always a treat. This is the second Kate Spade Outlet I have been to. Yesterday was my first time visiting. There was a really friendly and helpful Asian woman who happily greeted me and my friends at the door, and informed us that the entire store was 60% off. She even had little pricing sheets that listed a bunch of original prices and what they would be after the 60% discount, which was super awesome and incredibly useful! There was this purse that I REALLY liked, but I didn't want to buy it because it didn't have a crossbody/longer strap and I didn't think that was very practical. They had a smaller version, but I thought it was too small for still being over $100 with discount. I ended up not getting, but they did have a lot of really great items and the 60% off sale was most definitely a bargain. Highly recommend for anyone who is a fan of Kate Spade, or anyone who wants a designer handbag for a significantly discounted price! Who buys anything at full price nowadays? :P read more

I came here when the store just opened in the area and my cousins' girlfriends thought we should check it out after having luck at the Livermore location. When we arrived, I believe this store took over the old Juicy Couture, I might be wrong but it is in the same building complex. Definitely loving the size and layout of the store, it is much easier to get around than Livermore's location. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful without being pushy about sales, major positive aspect of this location. Don't be afraid to ask if they have another color or new items in the back, the staff was more than willing to accommodate to those request without a problem. We were able to get a new pair of sandals from the back and they even checked if a particular bag we were interested was in stock in the bag to ensure we received a flawless item. Some bag models are what you've seen in past seasons of Kate Spade, others are what are probably made for the outlet stores, either way there's something for everyone. Overall we had a great time and left with a few good purchases. We will be back! read more

The stars aligned when I stepped foot into this Kate Spade outlet store to kill 30 minutes before a wedding. I did not even know Gilroy Outlets had a Kate Spade, but I was all within reason as the store opened only a couple days prior. Why is this store awesome? Well, here's a short list: 1. Awesome sales. 2. Organized inventory. 3. Lots of inventory, where the staff will restock every so often. 4. Friendly staff. 5. Fast queue to get into the store. 6. Neighbors with Brooks Brothers. Customer service you'd expect to come from an outlet location... My mom and I were on our way home from LA to San Jose as I just had my last final exam in the morning. We obviously were not dressed or looked our best as we just arrived from a 5-hour drive (just to give you a visual I was wearing a UCLA sweater, sweat pants, and slippers... my mom a UCLA t-shirt). We stopped by bath & body for the semi-annual sale, and coming out my mom noticed there was a kate spade store. She was in need of new sunglasses for our upcoming Hawaii trip and so we stepped in for a quick pick-up. There was literally only about 7 people shopping and 4 employees working, the "greeter" a caucasian female just looked at us and didn't say anything as we walked in. No hi, welcome, or any acknowledgment of our presence whatsoever. Walking into Louis Vuitton, Balenciaga or YSL they always greet us every time ... so I don't understand what was difficult about showing basic customer service ... but I think the prejudice got the best of them. We found the sunglasses and my mom found a pair she wanted. The greeter then starts conversating with a younger customer about her whole life story, while we still have not yet been helped or acknowledged. The "greeter" asks almost everyone in the store but us if they needed a price check. I asked her "can you check the price of these sunglasses?" and without hesitation, she points to the sign and says, "they're $95" and hands me the sunnies. At that point, I just wasn't having any of it and told my mom that if she really wanted a pair of sunglasses from Kate Spade, we'd go to the "actual" Kate Spade store in Santana Row (where they have respect for their customers) and not the outlet. Is this part of the Kate Spade outlet work culture, not treating customers who are not dressed a certain way with any decency or basic customer service? We got better treatment at bath & body next door and my LV wallet cost more than some of their displays. lol. read more

There seems to be a new manager who does not understand this concept. I have continued to buy often and in volume even after Kate Spade was bought out by Liz Clairborn.
