My wife and I use this Walmart every week for our groceries. The store is usually clean and the staff is friendly when you need them.

Took in some Spring Training and needed some provisions before heading back to Scottsdale. I used to loath the idea of going to a Walmart. That was before yelp. Now I have a list dedicated Wally World. Every new Walmart is an adventure and an opportunity for me to document my adventure. This particular location was for the most part smooth sailing. Not the normal circus I am accustomed to in Vegas. It was pretty easy going. Most of the employees were friendly and some were not. Easy to navigate from one end to the next. I did not experience the "bumper car" effect in the parking lot or in the store. Not Walmart's fault, but I did catch the Arizona version of the flu here. Walking into the restroom a less than considerate human was hacking as they exited. I knew instantaneously I had contracted something. It only took a couple of days to incubate and strike me. Again...not Walmart's fault. I only write this for my own purpose. If in the area again, I would not have a problem with stopping by again. read more

I see this store has bad reviews and I am puzzled. As far as customer service goes I didn't have much of any kind of experience but if you're expecting to go into a Walmart and be treated exceptionally, you're in the wrong store. Apparently this store has been renovated and my was it refreshing to shop at a Walmart with fully stocked shelves. No boxes were torn or empty due to theft, nothing on the brand new shiny floors, and everything appeared to be in its right place. This is the goddess of all Walmarts in my opinion. read more

People are friendly and always working hard.... the store is pretty big so when I read bad review about "it's dirty" or "no one could help" I laugh maybe they were busy trying to upkeep one of the biggest stores :) great place to get what you need and be in and out.. read more

My big beef with this store is the carts. Every time I frequent the store I try several carts before I find one that actually rolls smoothly and easily!! I have talked to several managers about this and no one has heeded my plea for new carts. It's very hard to push some of the carts and some of them are so bad (loud) you cause a distraction when you're just trying to shop. Isn't it about time you purchased new carts? It is becoming an embarrassment for the Walmart Brand! read more

Walmart is ridiculous and not that anybody in management of headquarters cares, but this is the last time I patronize this or any other Walmart! I used to love Walmart but they have been going downhill for years. I have been shopping there less because they have consistently been out of stock for weeks on end of several products I want. However, I was doing some clothing browsing on line and found a pair of Capri pants I wanted, which the website claimed were in stock at this store and even gave me an aisle number so I decided to go over and get them. So the next morning, when the store opened at 7, I went over. Surprise, surprise, but the pants I wanted weren't in stock!!! Ok, fine. I was there so I thought maybe I could find a good substitute. I looked around and actually found 6 items I wanted, totaling @ $100. I went over to the fitting rooms only to be told by an employee standing there that the fitting rooms weren't open until 9!!! How ridiculous!!! Your store opens at 7 and I can pick out clothes but I can't try them on for 2 hours?!? You guys are a complete joke. You lost a $100 sale and have solidified my decision to stop shopping at your stores completely. I must say Thank you - you have made my life easier by saving me time in not having to drive to your establishments just to NOT be able to purchase the things I want. You have plenty of competitors nearby - I will just give them my money instead. read more

This is one of the better superstores. Not many in the area. This is what we got. The pros: super clean and better stocked than its poorer friends on the west side. Cons: nightmare to get in and out of the parking lot. Weekends are busy, so be sure you have time to get through the store and hefty checkout line. The clerks are going through the motions of making their bosses rich while they, themselves scrape by, so don't expect much. read more

I came here to get pepper spray and the outdoors/weapons sales associate by the name of Roxy was extremely reliable when it came to information and detailing on what is in the sprays, how many bursts, and literally anything we needed to know. She showed us all the kinds of pepper sprays and pepper gels with keychains, etc. Couldn't have asked for better service. read more

RACIST!! Trust me it took me several visits to this particular Walmart to decide to write this review. For the past 3 years I have gone to this specific Walmart as it is located conveniently behind my apartment complex, but for the past 10 months I have gone to this one and the one on 59th Ave and Bell to see the difference. Every single time I go with my boyfriend, he's black, to the This Walmart on 83rd Ave, he gets stopped to have his receipt checked, EVERY SINGLE TIME!! When I am walking right next to him and try to give the guy the receipt for my purchases he says oh no your okay.... really I'm okay??? Why am I okay and he gets scrutinized every single time??? Yup I get it, it's a random check but if it's random and he's been going here for the past 10 months and EVERY SINGLE TIME HE GETS THE THIRD DEGREE, THERE IS A PROBLEM!! So, I'm calling out to everyone that reads this message if you've ever experienced anything like this at any Walmart, let me know! This is NOT acceptable and NOT right! Previously they had a guard at night and he was even more rude and unprofessional, once he was removed and an associate of Walmart took over, I thought finally they did something right BUT NO the problem is still there. Nothing spectacular but it does have everything you need- even a Sam's Club next door

While the salespeople are pleasant, I have now been sent to 3 places within the store to pick up my 1 hour photos. I am standing outside the photo section again, as over 15 employees have passed me in the last 15 minutes while no one is at the counter. I have been waiting, in the store, over 45 minutes to pick up 15 prints. read more

This store drives me crazy. Walmart is generally close to the same anywhere you go but this one just seems too big or too busy or something. It's always short on product and customer service is slow if you can even find anyone to help you. Try and get anything done in the tire and lube center and you will end up with a manager having to come back there and solve some kind of problem. Always waiting everywhere. I think I'll stick to the one at deer valley and lake pleasant parkways. I'm gonna avoid this one at all costs. read more

I was in the garden center a couple times this well. i know alot of people complain about Wally World but the one on 83rd, the one on laker pleasant, and the one out on happy valley that i go to regularly and i don't usually have any problems. if i do have an issue it's usually with the other customers and generally clothing related ! lol read more

This location is fairly decent and clean however, I feel bad for the employees...they get treated like slaves and sat down and yelled at like they signed up for the military, even when things are not their fault and management has no proof. Management is only management if they are favored by the GM!!! Employees get treated unfairly and with such degrade and disrespect. When you see employees that don't smile, its because management only cares about how they feel and the amount of money they can save for their own quarterly raises while the people that actually work are treated and have to get paid lower than the trash heap they work for at this location. HR really should look into this location!! read more

Don't use the Walmart pick up at this Wal-mart! They need to get on their pick up employees to value their customers time! Obviously I'm using the pick up service because I'm pressed for time! I arrived at Wal-Mart at 5:05 I signed in and 15 min later the associate in the self serve area called his manager over it took the manager calling back there plus 10 more minutes for a kid to come out to give me my area. I use the pick up service at wal mart often, this was my first and last time I'll use it at this one! read more

This store is always spotless. I use their pharmacy quite often and they are always friendly and smiling. They have also gone out of their way and contacted my Dr. To suggest a different medication that made a huge difference in my health. And it was cheaper. read more

One of the worst places for customer service!!! Not to mention walked around for 10 minutes just to get some help. My boyfriend an I came in to the tire lube express toget our batteries checked. Right away they were not very friendly, one of the batteries needed to be charged so we walked around a while it was being charged. We needed a shop vac so we found a 12 gallon that was on a top shelf priced for 27.97. Took us 10 minutes to find a employee to pull it off the shelf for us. We went back to the automotive register to ring it up an get our battery. The employee Stuart came in to check us out, the shop vac rang up for 80! when we question him saying the shelf price was 27 Stuart immediately told us we were wrong an stomped back to the isle we got it from. My boyfriend followed him to show him the price tag. The employee raced back to the register practically yelling that we were wrong causing a huge scene. After couple times of him going to the isle an then just standing in the office we decided we did not want to be treated like this an go up front to speak to a manager. On the way we noticed a manager was going to the isle of the shop Vacs. We followed an found that Stuart actually switched the price tags an then called the manager. We told him what was going on, he checked the footage an ended up accommodating the 27 price an apologized for the employees an he will have a "talk" with staurt. No one should ever be treated that way especially when we weren't even rude to him. I've work in customer for almost 10 years an by far that was the worst customer service I've ever seen read more

One person working the online pick-up desk and she walks away, took over an hour to get to the front, only8 people ahead of me. Never coming to any Wal-Mart again! This place is a joke, I was wrong to give it another chance. read more
