This particular Publix is one of the smaller stores. Not as much variety but still, most everything I need. And so very convenient. The problem is that I have to check the date on every single item that I buy. Milk, of course. Yogurt too. (Last week I found Activia that expired several days prior). But hot chocolate mix? (No joke - it had expired several months prior). Baby food? Expired. Nothing goes into my cart without a verification of the expiration date. I'm not the only person looking at dates - I've seen several customers bring expired items to the registers. It happens regularly. I don't know why this particular store has such problems with outdated product on their shelves. Just be aware.

There is ample staff, but they don't really engage the customer as much as other Publix employees do. It's clean, well-organized, and has ample parking with a few covered patio style tables out front if you want to enjoy a salad or other deli item on site. Publix has created a solid reputation by offering incredible customer service, great BOGO (buy one, get one free) deals and we cannot forget their subs, which are affectionately known as "Pub Subs." Coming from New Jersey, a state known for their great subs, in a way it hurts me to state that a supermarket has some of the best subs in the area. But it is also a 100% true statement. Publix subs are very good. My go-to sub is probably their Italian sub, which is truly a tasty offering. I also enjoy their roast beef and cheese sub. I would definitely recommend upgrading it by using Boar's Head meat. It is definitely worth the small upcharge. It is great to see Publix expanding beyond the boundaries of their home state of Florida and spreading throughout the southeast. Not only am I happy about it, but I am confident that the communities that Publix opens a location in are very grateful for a Publix opening by them. I would definitely recommend this particular Publix location or any Publix location and I give it five stars.

This store has gone so far downhill in the last two or so years. This week alone I found a bug…read morecrawling inside a cake package at the deli, a bug in a package of strawberries, an out of date refrigerated pasta sauce, an opened pain reliever, and have been overcharged for sushi on Sushi Wednesday. The pharmacy drive through is slow af most of the time. Inside and out they require your birth date, address, and signature to pick up your medicine. One of these should be sufficient. The deli is slow and doesn't stay stocked half the time with popcorn chicken and sides. The prepared foods in the refrigerated case are hit or miss plus a lot of the items are not secured on both sides. It's gotten to where I don't trust anything from there. God how I wish there was another grocery store to choose from that's not so far out of my way especially when driving to work.

Because I'm sensitive to fragrances and can develop migraines from exposure, spending extended time shopping in stores with perfume counters can be challenging. Jason was incredibly understanding, patient, and attentive. He made the return process easy and treated me with genuine kindness. I even offered to help put the dresses back on hangers, and he simply smiled and said, "No problem, it gives me something to do." That small moment really showed his positive attitude and willingness to help. Thank you, Jason, for making my experience at Belk such a pleasant one. Grocery delivery has probably been one of the biggest game changers for me - why go to the store…read morewhen I can have milk in my fridge in 2 hours? All without having to put on shoes. But then, some days, a stroll around the store can be just what you need to brighten your day. Walking around Target, feeling the texture of the pajama pants, comparing lipstick shades - things you just can't do from an iPad on the couch. Of course I ended up with things in my cart that I didn't go in for but I also didn't come home with what I wanted - the skim milk was set to expire the next day and the only available size of the laundry pods that I wanted would last me a year. Target is not much different than a number of stores today - finding help was nearly impossible. I used self checkout which I'm sure got me out a whole lot faster than waiting in the only open check out lane. I'm not about to give up online shopping anytime soon but spending an hour strolling around Target was a nice distraction.

This review is for the deli and special recognition for Cameron…read more I went to the deli to pick up some low sodium ham. I planned to make roll up finger sandwiches for the big game. A young man behind the counter, Cameron, waited on me. We discussed the age of the low sodium ham and if it was going to expire. He said it was within the date for use. I mentioned I had purchased ham and it was slimy feeling so I now ask about expiration dates. He assured me the ham was good and even offered a slice to eat. I did not eat the slice. I have to bake the deli meat before I can eat it to prevent getting sick. I asked for the low sodium to be cut for sandwich slices. He cut my low sodium ham and I was off shopping. A little later I wandered back to the hot foods section of the deli. Cameron was at the counter helping a customer. I was there to buy tenders. My plan was to purchase 2 pounds. There weren't that many available. Cameron said if I gave him 10 minutes, the fresh tenders being cooked would be ready. I told him I would be back in about 10 minutes. I continued shopping and returned to the hot foods section. A smiling Cameron greeted me and pulled out 2 pounds of hot fresh tenders he had bagged for me. I was surprised at how efficient, helpful and courteous he was. Kudos to this Publix for hiring Cameron and placing him in the deli. In the past, I would avoid buying much here because the service was so slow! I heard an employee say she wouldn't go to the deli because she had limited time for her break and the deli was too slow to fill a food request. I will return to this deli. Fingers crossed this young man is still there working to serve customers. He's the best deli worker I have seen in the past 9 months! 5/5
