Worst.Walmart.Ever. = Bad Service Don't buy alcohol from this Wal-mart! Go to Walgreens in the area. The assistant store manager, Lori, has provided me horrible customer service, and has lost me as a customer for life. She provided the worst customer experience I have ever seen at a retail establishment. I was traveling through this city as I do when I am in the area, and I stopped by for necessities. As I was checking out, I witnessed Lori deny a customer in front of me sales of alcohol on my visit. The customer was clearly above the legal age for purchase, and questioned why he was denied. Lori just shrugged her shoulders and muttered something to the effect of, "no good." Getting visibly frustrated, the customer even provided a second form of id to validate his age, which Lori again just shrugged her shoulders and said she already denied it and that she wouldnt reverse it. Surprisingly, this customer purchased his other items and was on his way. I'm surprised he even bothered giving money to this establishment after being treated so badly. I considered abandoning my items myself, as I had become upset as well, but opted to finish my purchase. I purchased a set of 4 tires with a tire warranty. One of the tires had a slow leak so I returned. I was told repeatedly that they did not work in tires for the make of car I owned. I repeatedly explained I purchased tires from this Walmart tire store. FINALLY, the guy that sold them to us told the manager he knew how to repair the tire. IT IS A TIRE STORE. 3 months later, or so, same tire was slowly leaking air. We were told to purchase new rims because it may be the issue. I did. They then told us they could not fix tire because tread was too low. I reminded them I had the warranty. Same warranty they used to repair it (partially) after telling us they could not do our car...then decided they could. They stated they could not find our warranty. My mistake is not saving warranty documents because they had previously stored them on their computer. They did not repair tire, the front desk persons are rude, the business is dishonest in financial dealings. Do not purchase tires at Hurricane Walmart. I generally only say reviews to complement. This experience was so terrible I wanted people to know before they experienced the same abuse. read more

We visited from California & needed some necessities for our trip. We planned to hike the Narrows & needed some water shoes for the hike, however they only had sizes 13 & 14. Associates seemed like they didn't care to help, even after we had asked. We ended up buying some cheap sneakers & the lady who rang us up was extremely rude. It was odd since she was very talkative & friendly to the customer who was in front of us in line. Once my boyfriend went to pay, she didn't even look at him, greet him, nor acknowledge him. Just scanned our items & stated the price. We understand that Hurricane was a predominantly Caucasian area, however I believe that no one should be treated less than, ESPECIALLY if you're in effing customer service!!! We come from a very diverse area in California & never get stares from people or the feeling that people don't want us there, so coming to this Walmart made us extremely uncomfortable. Management should work on their employees being welcoming, or at least be a little less rude. - Another thing to add, if you have underaged children with you, they will not let you purchase alcohol. read more

My experience with this store has been the staff - particularly the later night folks working the self-checkout area have been rude and unfriendly. Not usually that big a deal. I don't need to be friends with everyone. But my experience last week was unacceptable. I am 62 years old. My wife is 58. The young girl at the self checkout would NOT sell us beer because my wife didn't bring her ID in. I had mine. Trust me - neither one of us look under 21. Or even under 40. This is ridiculous and completely disrespectful. I am going to start giving my business to the smaller local stores that treat me with respect and a cheerful demeanor. Take note Walmart. Every big company started with one customer. You lose them one by one as well. I'm sure to tell all my local friends and visitors to the area about the treatment older customers receive here. If this isn't walmart's policy you may need to look into who is working your late night checkout staff. read more

I usually have a great experience here, as I'm a regular customer at this location, and I'm in there at least 2-3 times a week. However, my husband and I were treated very poorly and disrespectfully today by an associate and a manager. I was purchasing a single bud light chelada (Literally 1 can), because while shopping I began developing a migraine, and that is the only thing I've ever found to help it. While I was scanning the last of our other items, an associate approached and acted like she was in a terrible hurry to conduct the business she needed to, and I feel we were rushed. My husband proceeded to show her his ID, then she handed it back to him without even checking it. She asked where the beverage was, so i pointed to the bag it was in. She grabbed it and asked if it had already been rung up. Uummm duh, of course it was already rung up... why else would the register have alerted her that an id check was required??? She said, "Unfortunately, I can't sell any alcohol right now." When I asked her if there was a specific reason for that, she snapped, "Because I just can't." And walked away with the can. So after paying for the rest of our items we walked back to the other end of the store and got into the customer service line to find out why we were denied the purchase. A manager standing off to the side, who was now holding the chelada asked if we needed to speak to a manager. I said yes, and before I could even ask what the issue was, she informed me that the other associate had apparently smelled alcohol on one of our breaths (not both of ours), and therefore could not sell it to either of us, because we were intoxicated. First of all, I was nowhere near any point of intoxication, as the only drinks I had today were a glass of wine and a beer with lunch around noon, and my husband literally had 1 drink before we went shopping. This all occurred around 5pm, after we had been shopping for almost an hour. So why were we not told this reason when I asked at the checkstand,causing us to walk to the other end of store to find out what the problem was in the first place?? And why did they feel it was necessary to treat us so poorly throughout the whole situation?? I completely understand if someone was obviously intoxicated and behaving irrationally, or didn't have id, but simply because one person had a scent on their breath, neither adult could purchase 1 simple tall can? Even being denied the purchase wouldn't have been such a big deal to me, if they would have handled the situation in a positive and courteous manner. I actually contacted corporate about the issue, and that's not something I do very often with any business when I've had a negative experience, as I have worked in customer service positions for many years, and know how hard it can be. I truly felt this experience was worth going up the ladder. Seriously, I have never had any issues with purchasing anything that requires ID at this location since it opened, until today... Even when my husband was legitimately intoxicated. read more

This Walmart is like any other I've been to in California except it's in Utah. All the same products except less Californian. What in the world does that mean? I had a nail in my tire after leaving Zion National Park. Since it was Labor Day everything had been closed. Luckily the auto center was open and able to take care of us. The technicians and cashier were friendly and helpful. The cost to patch my tire was only $10. These guys are lifesavers as we could have been stranded on our 6 hour drive home. read more

The store has been going downhill for some time now. The produce is less than fresh, the meats are embarrassing. Today we shopped at 9 a.m.. half of the produce shelves were empty... there were 3 little short ribs in a pack and they wanted $9 on sale! 2 loaves of bread! There was one register...the short belt one with the tobacco...the cashier was in no way trying to get anything rung up. I'm sick of the store. It's not as busy as the other Wal-Mart stores in the community, but it offers a similar selection. The store is very clean and the associate's are friendly. There is usually plenty of cashier's during the day, however late evenings and towards Midnight the staff is reduced and there are sometimes longer lines, especially on weekends. read more

I took my prescription to this Walmart for refill. The pharmacist, whose name I did not get was very helpful. Then it turned out they did not have it in stock & it was on backorder. A pharmacy tech, Stacy stepped into action because I only had 7 pills left. She called the local Walgreens who had it & she transferred my prescription to them to refill. She did not have to do all that, but she went above & beyond. She really made a difference especially since I was worried about getting my medication before I ran out. Kudos to Stacy and the pharmacist! This may be one of the best staffs at a pharmacy that I have ever encountered! read more

The Tire and Lube at this store is really great. The manager Jack, really cares about his customers and always gives us the best suggestions and service as do the people that work there. My visiting daughter brought her car here for an oil change and they saw that her back tires on the inside, were terribly worn down and dangerous to drive on. The steel belt was showing in places. Since my daughters car has low profile tires, Jack ordered two new, affordable tires so that she could get back to California the next day. As promised, the tires arrived the next morning and they were mounted and my daughter was on her way with a car that now had two new and safe tires to drive on. Walmart itself I really like and they usually are great for me and my needs but I've had many bad experiences ever since this one was built with customer service here in that I can't ever get someone to help me. It's frustrating that I can wait for nearly an hour after a long line and still not have a problem resolved. I'd like to say that eventually my problem is resolved but usually it isn't and I just have to leave because I don't have any more time. If I am going to purchase something and don't have to use customer service or to call them over the phone there are no issues. I hope they can train their employees at this location so they aren't flustered understaffed and don't know how to run the technology. read more

I had Walmart in Hurricane, UT do a basic oil change on my 2003 Dodge Caravan with approximately 104,000 on it on 08/25/2017. The low oil pressure light came on a day or two later. There was no oil in the engine. At first, I thought that Walmart had failed to put in new oil when they changed the oil and filter. Upon closer inspection, I noticed a small oil leak at the oil filter. It was not noticeable unless the engine was running and the vehicle was parked. The engine developed a metallic knock which appears to be bearing failure as a result of lack of lubrication. I filed an incident report with Walmart in Hurricane, UT as soon as the engine problem developed. They turned the incident report in to there insurance company, Claims Management, Inc., in Lexington, KY. Their claims adjuster would not so much as return any of phone calls, nor have they denied the claim; they merely fail to respond to all communications by phone, email or letter. Talking to the store manager and assistant manager at the Hurricane, UT Walmart was unproductive. I am therefore filing a small claims law suit against Walmart in Hurricane, UT. I highly recommend that nobody ever use Walmart automotive unless you want to put your vehicle at risk and then have Walmart's insurance company not pay for the damage. read more
