What's not to like? This store is clean, well stocked, and well staffed. I was able to find everything I needed. The security or the person watching the self-checkout was friendly and joked around with us. Walmart also has the best prices. Not much else can beat that. read more

For an overnight stay in their parking lot, this was a great Walmart. A little noisy until 11pm and then it got quiet. I was on the way in the morning before they opened. Inside the store, decent. It's always a fun and refreshing shopping experience when the aisles are neat and there's plenty of room to zoom around with a shopping cart! A nice value section with super affordable buys is now located near the pharmacy area. Always great deals to be found in the clearance sections too! This is truly my fav Walmart in Jacksonville. Might be one of the worst Walmarts ever, I asked 3 different people extremely politely if they knew who I could talk to to unlock the sports cards, was told 3 times "oh yeah one second let me grab them to unlock it, waited a total of 45 minutes & still not a SINGLE. Person came to unlock it. Had to leave, can't be that hard to find someone with a key if everything in your store is going to be locked up. read more

After five attempts at trying to ring the buzzard for customer service, I finally found one associate who unfortunately did not speak English. She motion for me to hit the button for customer service. I said I've done that five times and she just kept hitting it over and over and then in her phone translated in English from Spanish. Keep hitting the button. To no avail. I did that from almost 10 minutes. Finally, I had a gentleman who came up and I asked him for some assistance, and he truly looked at me like I had three heads, and I came from Mars. he said let me go see if I can find someone to help you. He walked into the store room, and then he snuck out thinking I wasn't seeing him as he went on his way, and did absolutely positively nothing. There was a gentleman trying to buy a bike to had questions, and also could not find anybody to assist. This lack of service is not only inexcusable. The store is in disarray as it is being remodeled, but they could at least have someone picking up the aisles; trash and products everywhere. This is a newly updated review as there has been so many negatives since last. Today was too much! The items were shoved so far back that after hearing from every staff member "I don't work that department" which is terrible customer services and they didn't even offer to call someone. I asked and got "I don't think anyone works that department and then walked away from.I had to get a stick from camping equipment to get my items (see photos of a few instances). On the way out, I saw someone who looked higher up, and got told "I don't see over that" and just walked away, no offer of who to even talk to, or for them to get that person for me. 2. I had to go buy an item to get change as the pharmacy didn't have a cash drawer, and none of the cashiers in the regular part wanted to call someone to open the drawer so they gave me the option of buy something or go to Customer Service line. Which had about 15 people ahead. 3. The Customer Service Department for over the last 6 months couldn't tell anyone if they'd be open because they close when no one wants to work it. Since I could never get anyone to answer at the Returns/ Customer Service department I would have to drive up there, the few times I tried other departments I would get "They're open now but I can't be sure if they will be when you get here even if you are going to be here in 20 minutes" Also they changed their Free Wi-Fi to needing an access code to go online from your "Online Walmart" account. I have phone issues right now until my Apple Store appointment, so I depend on Wi-Fi and my phone number not data works. So when it sent the code to my phone, can't get it can't access the number! When it said check your email, we'll can't do that either. Yes my circumstance is a one off, but if you offer Free Wi-Fi to your in store customers, you shouldn't have to give emails, have or make an app/online account to use it in store! What about elderly customers, this could be VERY confusing, or people on limited data plans. 4: When they changed where everything was, they didn't bother to move the signs for the departments, or change the items on that aisle, still showed the old items that used to be stored on the aisles. They waited to do the aisle items last and even longer to change the large high up signs like "Pet Food" "Home Appliances" etc. They may have given this store a makeover, when they need to think of a makeover on thinking about what makes things easier for their customers, put thought into what order their doing things in! Plan better. Make "I can't help you because it's someone else's problem" no matter how professional you make it sound out loud it's heard as "not my problem, it's yours" and turning away with no solution or bringing someone who can a write up. Maybe if they made a way train how to properly help customers and if not followed it can jeopardize their job from lowest to highest on the organization chart, well I think Walmart could see the all to well known "Walmart employees don't care" change to "I got the help I needed with a smile" mentality. Yes we keep coming back, but does Walmart want that to be only because we can't get everything we want in one spot FOR CHEAP, or do they actually care at all about their customers? Because in the decades of shopping there and how so many people have just accepted "this is how it is" what happens if someone comes along and opens a chain that is similar in price and options? Change their attitude then? That will be too late. Like the awful partner when someone better comes along and they say "I've changed. Stay and see the difference" Why would the customers believe then when treated with "If you don't like it, go somewhere else and try and pay our prices". I think you'd find in a survey almost all feel the same. read more

Return policies not clear and poor customer service! I purchased hp ink for my printer from this location on Saturday July 19th. I opened the box and noticed the ink cartridges weren't sealed at all. I pop the cartridges into my printer and the cyan cartridge is empty. Two days later, I bring the cartridges into this location to exchange or return them and their customer service desk says "they don't accept returns on opened ink cartridges" How would I know if the ink is good or not if I don't open the box and test them first? I explained my reason for returning the cartridges stating that it was not my fault that I purchased empty ink cartridges and they need to give me a refund or exchange them. No where on their receipt does it state they do not accept returns on ink and it was never mentioned by the cashier who rung me up in the electronics department. The manager also originally said she would refund the amount on a gift card but because they were out of stock, she couldn't do a refund onto a gift card or do anything at all. So I basically lost $159 because Walmart sells empty ink cartridges in sealed boxes. Apparently if you buy ink cartridges from Walmart and they end up being defective or empty, it's your problem. Not theirs. Terrible experience! I will never shop at a Walmart again. Go to Staples for your ink! Lesson learned. read more

I have had enough of this place. My husband and I visited one evening when the store was quiet to buy a few groceries. We had multiple employees following us from one side of the store to another. I briefly looked at cosmetics and two employees were watching me very closely. Not everyone here is a shoplifter! I am not wasting my time and money here again. I would never bother writing a review for a Wal-Mart unless I had a notably bad experience. Yesterday when I was returning CD, unopened mind you with the plastic wrap and security sticker still on it, the woman at customer service was giving me a hard time, I assume because I was returning because I bought the wrong one and she didn't believe me? By giving me a hard time, I mean on top of giving me attitude, she decided she had to check my factory sealed CD. She took it out of the packaging, and you know how CDs have a label on top of the case you have to take off too? Well she didn't know that because after struggling to open the case, she snapped the case open, breaking it off the hinge and cracking the front in half. All this after she had no problem accepting a literally open, literally half eaten package of cheese from the lady before me. Aside from destroying merchandise, she then proceeded to refuse my return. Why? Because the top of the CD has a design that looks like it's scratched. It's Guns n Roses greatest hits in case you're curious. I tried to explain to her that the scratches were just a design printed on the top of the CD, but she kept rubbing at it and shaking her head no. At that point I gave up, and just walked away. It was a $7 CD, I wasn't going to scream and shout about it. But I am going to write a yelp review. read more

We tried to find a step stool for my Dad at the Walmart grocery store near my Dad's place. They sent us to this location. They had a wonderful assortment to choose from. We couldn't find anything that was listed on the Walmart app even though it was logged in for this specific Walmart and was overall disappointed with my experience. COVID-19 UP My family will no longer spend our money there as it was evident that the staff was not required to use personal protective equipment (PPE such as masks and gloves). We observed this several times before deciding we will not return. The company does not require guests to wear any PPE nor do they require social distancing. Lines of people 12 deep, standing within 2-3 feet of each other without masks was the norm. We do not, nor will we in the future, support businesses that place their profits above the health of their employees or patrons in direct contravention of CDC guidelines. They really are one stop shopping from clothes/shoes, food/beer, wine, meat, cheese, veggies, crafts, some hardware, plant nursery, pets supplies, complete pharmacy, hair cuts, optical services,bank (yes bank) and more! Just moved over to this part of town from CR 210. Been coming to this Wal-Mart and i now have some concern their meat is bad quality. I have now gotten 2 10# bags of leg quarters, pork shoulder and no pork tenderloin and got them home and opened them and they smelled bad. Just pulled out a pork tenderloin that had a date of 8/10. 7 days till it goes bad and it reeked of rot! I don't get it???!!!! read more

DO NOT BUY VIDEO GAMES FROM WALMART. People are re-sealing empty game cases and taking advantage of Wal-Mart's lax return policy and indifferent staff. I purchased xenoblade chronicles 2 from them, took it home and unwrapped it only to find the box empty. After talking to the manager (Not personally as s/he didn't have the decency to speak with me in person) I was told employee they cannot do anything for me. Okay officially not happy with the customer service in this place. I went to cash my check at the Customer Service area (since their Check Cashing station has been BROKEN for over 2 months. I waited in line at the third cash register because you need a manager to come over and do cashing. The young lady was calling her manager, but she wasn't listening. Eventually she came over to cash my check for a little over $200 and I said I needed $100 on my re-loadable card (on top of whatever the fee was for that) and at least $100 in cash. She pretty much gave me a look and depended on ME to figure out exactly how much was going to go where. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW THE FEES FOR RELOADING A CARD? I got a horrible attitude and was told that she pretty much wasn't going to do the math and looked to me to do it. So she said okay well...I'll try $140 on the card, leaving $97 in cash - to which she asked if "that was okay?" No, but whatever got me out of there faster. How about hiring people at Wal-Mart that have a good attitude no matter how busy it is? Or does Wal-Mart just make "SO MUCH MONEY" that they just hire anybody now? I do not enjoy coming to this particular location. I would rather pay extra at Publix. Parking can sometimes be limited believe it or not and parking so far away bothers me because it's not lit very well at night and people drive like maniacs around the lot. Pretty good variety of stuff to chose from inside, groceries, kids items and toys, hardware, household items etc. Staff seems like a bunch of zombies walking around, they don't ask if you need help and when you do ask they don't seem to be able to help. I have walked around aimlessly here on more then one occasion. The bathrooms stink and I don't know how often they are clean but it doesn't look like much. They have toilet liners though (sometimes ) so thank goodness for that. read more

In all honesty, it's walmart. Nothing grand about it other than being a superstore that sells from clothes to foods to gardening. I've come here many times to this location because its the closest one. I always park further away from the store (and away from cars) because I always know that almost everything happens at a walmart parking lot. So anyways, it's convenient. I don't have issues at this walmart. Their prices are about the same everywhere else you go off by a few cents to maybe a few dollars. I do my best to avoid it during the holidays as you know it gets crazy. It's somewhat well stocked depending on what you are looking for. read more

My feelings towards Walmart is similar to Sam's Club, I prefer shopping at Target but bc most of the items at Walmart is cheaper n moving is expensive, Walmart is my go to for my home essentials. Be careful for expired items. I almost bought a cake mix that expired in May '15 n some in Aug '14. There just so happened to be a Walmart employee, Anthony, straightening up the shelf by me when I was climbing the shelf n reaching for boxes towards the back. He asked if I needed help n I told him about the items being expired. Anthony removed the expired boxes from the shelf n suggested to look for more non-expired boxes for me if I had more shopping to do. In 5-10 mins after grabbing the last item on my shopping list I made by way back to the cake aisle n he handed me a good box. Now that's customer service! Overall the store shelves are one of the neatest I've shopped at. read more

Worst customer service ever. I purchased something online for store pick up at 6:19am, 6 hours later they still had not contacted me for pick up so I said screw the convenience of them picking the item for me I would just go look for it and purchase it. I get there and there are none on the shelf!! I gonna I to the online pick up area and am told they can't find it. It says they have TEN iN stock...TEN. This is not a small item that can be missed, this is 150ft roll of bubble wrap and they have 10 in stock they can't find and are telling me they might not have any. I was there at 11 p.m. and one might think it wouldn't be crowded, but it was! One register was open and the line was pretty long. COME ON WAL MART!!! Don't be afraid to pay your employees. This Wal-Mart reminds me of the one on Normandy. They both have a McDonalds and the building is very outdated, but they are still trying to make small additions and updates at a time like the In-Stock pickup section and adding the self-checkouts. The parking can be a pain and they do a bad job at collecting the carts. They always have carts scattered everywhere and even as far as the ice cream shop, although this is the customer's fault they need to better staff their employees to collect these carts. If you drive a nice car, park very far away. read more

Eh, I don't think it's a secret that I hate grocery shopping, period, but I needed a few things before an event, and this was the closest location that had the variety of things I needed. As others have mentioned, the parking lot here is a three ring s*** show. Yes, there are others businesses in here, and they've added a turning lane on San Jose, but you won't be able to head back south after getting out. (Head to the road right after the strip center.) And as luck would have it, the media truly blew out of proportion the "tropical storm" headed our way, so no jugs of water were available.... bummer. I did find the other things I needed quickly, but not after having to go down isles I didn't need to because people were just stopped in the middle of the main isles, blocking everyone's path. And the checkout lanes were backed up at least 5 people deep (each lane.) They do have a self checkout here, so if you only need a few items, that would probably be the way to go. read more

Never any issues here. I live in walking distance so I'm here almost everyday. There is 2 large self check out areas so I never wait in line, even during Christmas rush I never had to wait in any lines. I bought a bike last month and it rang up 10 dollars more than what I thought I saw on the tag, the supervisor knocked the price down to what I saw on the tag without hesitation, so that was a good experience. There is a McDonalds right inside the entrance as well. read more

Who knew there would be another chapter to this saga? I got an automated call today from the Wal-Mart pharmacy saying my prescription was ready to be picked up. I thought this was odd, since I would rather jab both eyes repeatedly with a rusty fork than ever do business with Wal-Mart's pharmacy again. I called the number given in the automated message (which was a different Wal-Mart pharmacy location) and I asked why I am getting calls from a business that I would sooner jab both eyes repeatedly with a rusty fork than ever do business with again and they did not have an answer but they looked in their system and my phone number is now associated with some other customer's account. It gets better, they gave me the customer's name, phone number, and info, in violation of HIPPA laws. I also called the original location where I had the terrible customer service experience and they did not know how that could happen. I advised both locations that there better not be any shenanigans and they better not be giving my customer info out to anyone who calls. Avoid these people. It's a Walmart. You know what you are getting when you come here. This location is a madhouse more often than not outside being on San Jose and parking in this lot can be a bit bothersome as well. My best advice is to just relax and go with it, it's not worth the stress. Aside from that it's Walmart. The store is usually pretty clean and well maintained.
