Great place to shop for food & non - food items. Sometimes, things are simply not there. I think the supply chain is still mildly affecting things. Or maybe they run out. Love the sporting goods department for fishing licenses & live bait. Great hardware. 2 sections for pets. Back of store by food & front near garden where some Walmarts have fish for sale. This one does not. Has the right bird food I need. This last visit, went to pick up my glasses ($9 frames but $400 for everything. Progressives. Transitions). Very happy. Optical came recommended, though I was skeptical. I did not need to go to San Antonio. Yay ! Their yard decor (Texas themed) was half price so we bought two. Just a really good department store. No competition since Big Lots went out. No matter what you are looking for, you will probably find it here. There online store is even more amazing. Shipping free with your Walmart membership. We had an 85" tv delivered so we did not have to get it home. Reasonable prices. Staff actually takes you to what you are seeking, instead of "aisle 51... on the right." Daisy was absolutely wonderful! I had clearance items & had a feeling they wouldn't ring up correctly. (This is Walmart, after all) So, we stood in line to check out w a person but after awhile we gave up & went to Scan & Go. Lucky for us Daisy was working! When we were overcharged, as I'd suspected we'd be, she came to help us. I apologized for being a bother & she immediately told me that I didn't need to apologize bc she loves her job! Wow! So refreshing & so rare to hear that. Thank you Daisy for being so friendly & helpful! I'd never be able to give Walmart 5 stars but I can't give Daisy anything other than 5 stars. This Walmart is a pretty weird layout to us and we have a lot of differently laid out Walmarts in our area. That being said, the Walmart app works with any Walmart and I was able to find anything I was looking for using the app to tell me where to go. But they have everything you need and better prices than some others. Use the restroom before you go, one of the most foul smelling Walmart restrooms I've ever encountered.... and that's saying something. read more

The store over-torqued the wheels on my truck doing a basic warranty retorque after I had previously purchased tires from Walmart. Six days later, three wheel studs broke and my rear wheel nearly came off on I-10. I was stranded on side of the road on a very cold, dark night with barely one bar of cell signal. The store refuses to accept responsibility, or even acknowledge they retorqued my wheels, even though it is listed on my invoice. The Auto Center Manager, Dawn, is a worthless liar and won't even take care of a situation where the store is unquestionably at fault. Do yourself a favor and take your vehicle to real tire professionals! These clowns can't even perform the simplest of tire services correctly and won't own up to their dangerous incompetence. It goes without saying that I was lucky to avoid having a serious accident that could have led to my family's, or someone else's, serious injury or death. Walmart couldn't care less. read more

Let me start by saying I'm not a big Walmart fan for various reasons, that being said... one person can make a difference. I stopped by the Deli in Kerrville on Friday 3/14/25 around 10:15 am and William was busy with his daily routine. I don't know William, have never met William but he greeted me like we were friends. I've rarely seen a Walmart employee smile much less act like they wanted to help or serve anyone. William's attitude was friendly, professional and personable... I was shocked!!! It was a much-appreciated change to the normal glance or stare you usually get from counter help... anywhere! Employees like William are hard to find, I usually go through 20 hirings to find one good employee who is invested in how they make a paycheck. Hint, hint Walmart... whatever you are paying William it's probably not enough and I might track him down and offer him a job... Great job William, I wish you the best!! read more

WORST. STORE. EVER. I had once been with my children (Ages 3 yrs and 2 month old ) and had asked a female worker who looked a little young of they had a specific powdered milk brand I was looking for. This worker looked very young, she looked maybe 15-17. She was short and skinny with pale skin, black hair, and bright green eyes. I had asked where the powdered milk was for my son, and she had told me "In the baby section, where else?" and was laughing with another worker. I had told her I was looking for a specific brand and if they had it and she had told me "I don't know, go check" when I was asking HER. When I walked off she and the other worker were laughing and said inappropriate comments about my chest saying "No wonder she can only get powdered milk." I felt ashamed and embarrassed! Well heck. I went to buy a bicycle. The web site indicated that they were the only store close by with this particular bike. A few weeks ago I drove from Bandera to San Antonio with my son to buy a bike at Academy and was disappointed. They had an entire wall set up for displaying bikes - it was empty. My son bought a consolation prize bike. Not necessarily what he wanted. I was smart (I thought). I used the Walmart app to shop the bike I wanted and the location it was in stock. I was an idiot for believing things would be different. The display was empty. I thought that would not be a problem; there was probably one in a box in the back. Spent 30 minutes trying to get help. Sporting goods associate told me to seek help from Tire and Lube. Tire and Lube counter told me to speak with a different associate in Tire and Lube. Different associate told me they didn't have a clue. Tire and Lube was not in operation at the time. Apparently one can catch the cornavirus from used oil. They had nothing to do and were not willing to accept anything to do. The heads of the Walmart associates were just as empty as their display shelves. In Kerrville and Boerne we don't experience the strangely dressed people, we experience idiots that should be working at a store they can succeed at - McDonald's maybe. Maybe. This store is an embarrassment to the corporation. Monkeys can do a better job than Kerrville residents. Save yourself some frustration and avoid this store. read more

I drive 46 miles to do business with the Boerne store and even do my medications there! I had a very good shopping experience here. Visited twice in two days because I was helping my son freshen up a VRBO. I found things from salt shakers to shower curtains. Very good prices and plenty to choose from. Returns are very smooth. There was no line, and the young woman handling the transaction could not have been nicer or more professional. Today I had to wait in line in the ONLY check stand that was open for 25 minutes. There were four overloaded baskets in front of me and three huge full baskets behind me. I did not use a self check out because I had way too many vegetables to weigh. Long story short, the checker was TRAINING SOMEONE!!!!! She was standing there pointing to pictures of different peppers! Are you kidding me!! I felt if I opened my mouth I'd wind up in jail. I left my basket there and left. I called the manager from my car and explained the situation. She apologized and said they were short staffed (what else is new) she said she'd talk to the checker about not training while they were busy. Ok that's fine but I spend WAY TOO MUCH MONEY in this store and this situation is ABSOLUTELY UNEXCEPTABLE ! I will my grocery shopping at HEB from now on! read more

I came to this location and they had 4 check out stand open out of 18, with lines in all 4 running into the isles. Check out was slow going and I felt that I should put up a mail box so I could start receiving my retirement checks their. I finally made it through and talked to Ester a front manager and she could really careless about what was going on. She to told me that I could use the self check out next time, that there is 2 of them one at either end of the store so I went to both and each one of them had 2 running the others were down for maintenance. So my question is when in the hell did the customer start working for Walmart? If I need to bag my own products, Walmart should start giving their customers 5% off. So I asked another lady who was working the self check out why is there only 2 open here and 4 open at the regular check out, reply was that they are short staffed and that Walmart Corporation is now talking about getting rid of all employee check stands and going to all self checkouts. We should boycott all Walmart's for at least a month and see where this leads them. What ever happened to the good old days when you had a box boy, meat cutter, and a produce man that helped you with your needs. I wish we still had the good old ma and pop IGA stores that knew you by name and asked how the family is. read more

Despite getting good aisle directions from 2 helpful staffers on the floor, the checkout situation needs much improvement. The SPEEDY line needs to be overhauled so that it is SPEEDY! I had only 3 items and was using a credit card. The idiots in front of me had the cashier ring up more than they could afford. They tried several methods of payment, then had the cashier take items back. Good grief, I think I stood there for 20 minutes, while my ice cream was melting. Changing to only 10 items, and no checks would be a big help. I am certain that the cashiers could give you good advice how to make it SPEEDY. read more

Just had to run into Walmart for 2 things. Keep in mind it's 5pm on Friday evening before Memorial Day holiday...probably one of the busiest days. We looked & looked for a checker, looked for an open speedy checkout, then finally found self checkout. The line was extremely long. One girl at the speedy checkout turned her light off but we were already in her line. The man in front of us has a few items including a 6-pack of beer. Guess what!!!! I'm an avid fisherman and I spend ALOT of money on tackle and for the past few months the fishing isle has been TRASHED. No-one is taking the time to order products or straighten the tackle up. The Walmart in Kerrville TX keeps getting worse and worse!! First of all it's like they don't want to use their bags, they pack as much stuff as they can in one bag!! Really.... Great store with great employees but the store manager he is a jerk. I think his name is Mitch or Mitchell. Last time we were in there we overheard him talking to a worker and he was not being very nice. To do that out on the floor in front of everybody and not in private was very inappropriate.
