Hello Yelpers. I'm at it again, and not by choice. First: there was a Bald, Red mustache manager at the Front registers who ignored the Fact that my teen cannot walk through the store due to her Pulled knee cap and we ended up waiting for 15 minutes before getting help, that was thanks to a manager named Sally. Then, another assistant manager named Kenji was aloof and not paying close attention as he was stating that he was looking up the item that I had came into the store for. Which was after I had viewed and took a photo of the item that I showed him. Then, they had a female crew member that stated that: They do not care about having unsatisfied customer's and having the customers not coming back into their stores. Along with, sass. I am glad that I do not have the necessity of Relying on this store or Walmart in general. Crappy customer service, sloppy interpersonal skills towards customer's and an awful way to get new employees to join them. Oh! And by the way? The item was a Laptop Rolling Case. Which I was able to purchase one a few minutes after leaving this store for less than $20, from a very stable and popular store. read more

If I could give this store zero stars or maybe even -500 stars I would. I have been coming to this Walmart for probably over 10 years since I've lived in this valley my entire life and it's right near where I live and every time that I'm come in there I have never ever ever stolen anything in my life. But every time I come in there they treat me like a thief and today the guy literally stood there and pulled everything out of my bags and counted everything to make sure it matched my receipt which of course it did. I have spent probably thousands of dollars at the store and to be treated like this is a slap in the face. And then I go to the manager and she says oh sorry well I hope next visit is better. The store is literally a joke their employees are the worst that I've ever experienced. I even used to work at Walmart in Washington where the stores are actually great and I was actually theft prevention. It's sad because my husband is gone in the military and I spend a lot of my time shopping because I don't have much to do with my days and this is how I get treated for going to the store that I used to love going to and to be treated like this is so upsetting I literally left in tears. Walmart La Quinta, CA grocery delivery. Awesome! I can't say enough good things about them. 1. Their substitutions are awesome which means they are rarely out of anything and the substitutions are always more than fair. If you don't want a substitution you can indicate that but they won't substitute anything if you do. 2. I paid the yearly fee which means I don't pay for delivery if over $35. 3. The orders are filled from Walmart employees which means probably from the back of the house and items aren't picked over by a ton of people. 4. They are always prompt with the delivery. I am very happy with Walmart grocery delivery. read more

Walmart La Quinta has to be the W0RST location for customer service. The manager should be fired for the rude culture they have created in their store. This location has ZERO stations set up around the store for allowing you to sanitize your hands periodically while you shop. I mean we are in a pandemic and since you can't return anything and you're required to wear a mask, you would think they would have sanitizer around the store for customers to use. I brought this to the attention of associate Kevin who was checking receipts at the exit. He basically ignored me and told me if I had issues then I should call Walmart's 1-800 number. No care. No apologies, just pure laziness. These big box retailers are making billions during COVID while the rest of us are scraping by and they don't even have the decency to keep you safe and to be thankful that you chose their store to risk your health in. These retailers need to be held accountable during a pandemic. I find their flippant attitude about health safety a disgrace. read more

If I can give this Walmart a ZERO star rating I SO would! The word professionalism doesn't exist here at all! We saw the assistant manager who is in her late 40s act like a complete 12 year old and give the most immature attitude to a customer and then have another manager help out the rest of the line at another register just to have the slowest service given because "BRITTNAY's" conversation with another co-worker was far more important than even doing her damn job right.They seriously need to CLEAN HOUSE and release some employees who really don't give a s**t about working at Walmart. read more

This is my go-to Walmart and they always have what I need. They're locating towards the back and have a huuuuuuge parking lot that is constantly patrolled by security. Just like the other walmarts, it has shopping carts everywhere! This Walmart boasts a garden center, pharmacy, bakery, grocery food, Beer and Spirits, and McDonalds. Basically whatever you need they got and they always have a holidays section! This place always has a lot of people shopping 24/7 and long lines just to checkout. Items are most likely in the wrong place as well. The prices are average to below. Employees here are rarely helpful. They also have an optometrist and a RedBox. Mini arcade for your children and bathrooms are located at the entrance. Overall 3 stars because of the scattered products and long checkout lines. They do sell ice here too! read more

I don't understand why people hate on Wal-Mart so much, I have shopped there for years and never have I received something else then what I paid for. If you hate Wal-Mart because of other rude customers, remember they're not always there and therefore should not base your thoughts of Wal-Mart on anything else but the quality of service and products you get from the store and it's employees. Now, all the employees may not speak very well English but all are certainly very helpful, all you have to do is ask nicely, also, I love that it is open late and that there are hardly any people late at night (which is when I do my shopping) Also, unlike other stores, when their customer service station closes they don't just close and ask you to come back during regular hours, they use cashier #19 for customer services (including cashing checks) It is a very large store and it has almost everything. I too love Target, but when I'm short on cash and need something, I choose Wal-Mart. read more

This is the worst store in the Coachella Valley. I try to avoid Walmart at all costs but their prices and the fact that they open 24hrs a day are the only thing i return for. If you don't want to spend 30 mins in line for your one item, I'd suggest Target a couple blocks down. :) I've also had troubles in the fabric dept, and site to store. The pickup at Walmart Supercenter in LQ is great, fast reliable, helpful, caring. Very happy with Walmart grocery pickup .

I love your store and spend lots of money there, but I alway leave in a bad mood because you have more than 20 registers and only open about 3-4 of them. If there are more than 3 costumers waiting in line, shouldn't you open another register. You might note the faces of frustration on your customers faces. Thank you for working on improving this situation. We don't enjoy watching our food defrost in line. read more

A massive store that always seems short of staff. Need help finding an item? There's a good chance that you'll be able to find it on your own before you'll be able to find an employee. Best bet is to have a friend wait in one of the long and winding lines while you shop. Plan to spend 10-20 minutes more here than the usual Walmart, especially on weekends and following paydays. Cashiers are mostly friendly, and it is admittedly difficult to keep smiling with few breaks and a rush of customers all day. Help them out by having a working credit card, exact change, and all the items you want / right items before they ring you up. ATM is always broken, so not different than any other Walmart. Money Center line has been surprisingly short. May return when in the area. read more

If i could write a review without stars I would give them Zero stars!! I got a call from Walmart photo in La Quinta to pick up 2 lawn signs I ordered for a graduation Drive By Parade. The cashier helping me could not find the bar code so the store manager (her name started with a Z) refused to sell me the items that I ordered (with my name on the boxes) because she didn't know how to charge me without a bar code on the boxes. We told her how the Walmart in Indio charged me without a bar code on the box ( I had already bought a lawn sign in April), but she refused because she didn't know what she was doing! We left and I will not go back to pick up my orders. Walmart should train their store managers or not hire inept or unprofessional people. if she's going to be a store manger, she should at least be computer literate and have some people skills. Wal Mart Tire/Auto Center: After spending more than an hour on the phone with the Service Manager (who was *very nice and accommodating), we picked out and set up an order for 4 new tires, an oil change with specifics on additives and oil filter, etc., and made an appointment. I made the appointment so I could have someone follow me, leave my car there for 2-3 hours like the manager said, then get picked back up again. In the meantime, I had another appointment with a Dr. that I could not miss. Long story short, when I got to the tire center, I went to check in....nobody at the desk, had to wait for the 3 people ahead of me to be written up first that were outside, even though I said I have an appointment, and by the time someone was called to the inside desk, my appointment time was already 35 minutes past and the bays were full. When I was finally asked for my information, NOTHING was in the computer. NOTHING. NO THING. I had to start from scratch. Name, telephone number, everything. I was furious! Never again will I go back there nor will I recommend them, and I HAD been using them for almost 35 years at a previous location. I am actually standing in the store right now trying to buy 4 yards of fabric in the craft and sewing department. I've already been waiting for about 20 minutes for anyone to pop up at the cutting station. No one. Two employees have walked by and said they would call someone, but no one has shown. Finally, an employee walked by and I asked her for help. She said the person is on their lunch and wound be back for at least 1/2 an hour. I asked if she could grab a manager to do it, and she said sure. I worked in a specialty department in retail and our managers would always cover me when on lunch. I've been standing here 10 minutes more while typing and no one has come around. Not very good customer service. I despise Hobby Lobby, but it looks like I'm heading across the street. I stood in line to return one item and buy several more. I finally reach customer service and I informed her of this immediately. She even repeated what I wanted in confirmation. She then proceeds to make me pay the difference of the item I returned and one item purchased and also make a separate purchase for my remaining items instead of making a return and then a single purchase. I asked why she could not do this and she mumbled something I couldn't comprehend, failed to complete the transaction properly and had to call for help. Even after receiving the managers keys to override, she didn't know what to do. She wasn't friendly nor apologetic. read more

If you have the time, drive to another wal-mart in the area. This place is always filthy, the shelves are never filled and when they are the items are kinda all over the place and not very orderly. The produce section makes me cringe... I always see flies and gnats circling around the fruit. The store feels like it's dimly lit, poorly laid out, and there is never an employee in sight. When doing checkout, there always seems to be a huge line with cashiers working as slow as possible. Walking out of the store at night leaves me feeling very unsafe. If I can, I'll purposely add another 20 minutes onto my drive to avoid this place. Yikes. read more

I swear I will NEVER go back there and yet occasionally I need something only Walmart has. I would drive to Palm Desert usually - but sometimes I don't have the luxury of time. Some of the LQ Walmart offenses: trash and dirty diapers strewn through the parking lot; asked a worker where the bathroom was - but she DIDNT SPEAK ENGLISH. WTF????; no prices on items you want to buy; kids screaming through the store (even late at night); long lines at check out; disorganized merchandising; no one to help, etc, etc. I could go on - but you get the point. The worse customer service ever!! At the pharmacy to order prescription. It's so unreal I can't still understand either those people are the most stupid possible or they do it on purpose. Got a coupon on goodrx to buy my wife's prescription for 3 months instead of 1 because it is cheaper. The damn insurance doesn't cover the drug of course. The piece is $200. At Walmart it's $208 for 3 months. So it's like buy 2 get one free. Well it's my third trip there. Now it's my 3rd call. They are not able to keep the 3. So they order 2 because they have one in stock but of course don't keep it and every day they sell one so they never have the right count. So I wonder what is wrong with those people. I left it and it was tossed over on a counter I guess to defrost and then be tossed back in the freezer section . Just got back from Walmart for some last minute shopping before Halloween. Found some real good deals on Halloween plates and napkins. Went to go pay for it and that's when the cashier named "Jamie" decided to play a trick on me. He was the rudest person I have met so far at Walmart. As he was ringing up the sale items, I noticed they were not come up as the sale price. I informed him of the sale price. He then told me " well YOU should have mentioned that before I started the transaction. Now I have to do this all over again" mind you all he had rung up we're the plates and napkins. We then told him that we would just go to another register where he then took our items and put it in another basket behind him. I had to go around and grab them. Where he then said "Oh you still wanted to buy them" , well I am sorry Jamie that you hate working at Walmart and that customer service is not on your list of things to keep in mind when dealing with customers. I have been in a customer service environment for 20 years and I don't know how this person could be still working at Walmart with that attitude. I purchased a headlamp bulb, top of the range, $25.88 guaranteed for 12 months. The dip beam failed after 40 days! I returned to this store with the original packaging and receipt at 10:50 pm. I drive nights commercially, so needed to replace immediately. I was told they did not do exchanges after 10pm! I explained that it would stop me working and needed it now. After calling for a Supervisor, who gave me the same idiotic response, I pointed out the bulbs were hanging on the back wall, I can pick one up, take it to the cash register and exchange it but I needed for my vehicle to be street legal so I could work. She refused with the pathetic automated response, the department closes at 10! I asked for the store manager and she ( Maria) supposed Supervisor, said he's away at the moment. I then said I wanted a written statement from her confirming her refusal to exchange the faulty product. I repeated the litany about its hanging on the back display, she can photocopy my receipt and do the paperwork tomorrow. She said come back at 7 am when they re open. I pointed out that if she did not do the exchange there and then, I would hold the store liable for any legal action or citation and loss of earnings arising. I said, you have original packaging, receipt, product available and you're making a Federal case from nothing, this is NOT customer service. Some 25 minutes of argument later she walked off and an assistant returned with the exchange item, no apology just the compliance with common sense. read more

I went to this Walmart this morning to get frozen Atkins meals and the stock was very low (about 20% of normal). I was not able to get much of what I normally get. This store has a frequent restocking problem. Then, when I went to check out, only one non-self-checkout line was open. This store is the most convenient to where I live. I would give this store 0 stars if I could. This place is always a mess. I don't blame that entirely on the employees however... there are SO many rude, clueless people who shop here. They basically trash the store. I dread anytime I have to come to this location. Avoid at all costs if you can. This store is due to close at 8:30, but at 8:10, the staff is screaming throughout that the store is closing in 5 minutes. Equally frustrating, the cosmetic department was already closed off and the clerk refused to get anything for the two of us asking for a simple product from Maybelline. I've always disliked Walmart, but their customer service is deplorable and there is nothing more frustrating than a business that closes before the posted hours. Worst ever!!!!! 1. 3 checkers open. Customers lined up 15 deep. 2. I hear checkers asking to go on break! 3. Are allowed to actually close lane and go!!! 4. I bought a lot of fruit which was going to be a treat! 5. But the turnstile was not rolled around fully and so I ended up leaving my fruit!! So customer sucks x 20. And all these 'management' tips are waling 2x2 checking receipts instead of requesting more checkers!!! I don't care how low Walmart prices are...
