Big Walmart I like the entrance from the produce section, I like the illumination and the fruit and vegetables looks fresh and the place clean, they have. Seafood section that I didn't have time to check. The place is crowded!!! Usually I'm the kind of person who relax walking through the aisles just browsing, well I need to say felt anxious with so many people, and with the mess everywhere unfortunately, for the same reason. I drove 30 minutes from home looking for a comforter that was on inventory at this location but with everything mixed up at the store it could be anywhere or maybe even stole. Disappointed, I don't think I have reason to come back, and I will not rely on the information on their website about availability of their products. Also I checked the Clearance section which is bigger on my Neighborhood Walmart, and I found a toddler girl carriage, Very expensive considering the box was really damaged by water and most likely inside too. So if you plan to get a "deal" because it's a big store, let me tell you beforehand that will not happen unfortunately. read more

What is the point of having doing online orders for pickup and having customers select a time for pickup if you are going to make your customer wait after that time. I'm currently waiting on my order and it is over an hour past the period when my order was supposed to be available for pickup. Absolutely poor job done and I highly recommend not doing pickup from this location as it appears to be highly unprofessional. I would give 0 stars if that was an option. read more

Curbside/Pick Up is completely chaotic and just expect to have your order messed up. This isn't the first time this has happened to me, and I'm not one to jump to writing a bad review especially during a pandemic - but this is getting ridiculous. April 5th I went to pick up my groceries, which were loaded up by Drew and then I was send on my way. As soon as I got home, I got a call from Drew saying he forgot to load my frozen items in my trunk. He was very apologetic on the voicemail and asked me to return back to pick up my order. So, I packed back up again and got in my car while calling back. Some suuuuper rude lady answered, I explained I spoke with Drew and that I can pull back into the curbside area with my ID and card. WELL, before I could fully get that explanation out - the lady interrupts me and I says I need to go to customer service in the building. *So what is the point of the customer service phone line* I'm a high risk human being but I go inside and in natural WalMart fashion - the line has 10-12 people waiting and 1 employee working the counter. I call the customer service line - same lady, same response. I ask for a refund, she said I needed to go to customer service. Ya know, I'm not even mad at Drew as he was super apologetic and asked me to come back. I am pissed off that they refuse to be LOGICAL about helping customers, so mainly the management or whoever was on the customer service line because boy oh boy are they lacking in customer service. read more

Came in bought some items for a gift and instead of doing someone else's job and going to self check out I decided to go to a register. I bought a gift card thinking the employee placed it inside my bag and left only to find out she didn't. I called in which took over 10 minutes to answer and they said they would look for it or refund me, when I said I couldn't make it in anytime that day or next she said "no worries we'll refund you as long as you have your receipt". Therefore I went in 2 days later and they said gift cards are non refundable. Employees are not only unaware of company policies but cant also remember to put merchandise inside bags as this isn't my first experience. Service desk employee then states a coach would have to refund me and not a front end manager. Then as one comes out of the office he says he can't help me because he is just "holding it down". Absolutely terrible experience at this store. Stood in the paint and hardware department for 10 minutes waiting for somebody to help me get spray paint. I asked an associate to assist me in finding help, they didn't. Called the store and had them connect me to the paint and hardware department hoping I could get through, was on the phone for 10 minutes after the department being paged 3 different times and had nobody pick up. Went in and saw 2 camera on display that had a price tag of $.03. The price tag said for display. So the 2 camera on display should be on sale. Maybe discontinued cameras. Went to try to check to buy them. The person in charge up front would not do it saying it's a way to tell people get the price code right. My husband was actually in town; and went in at 4:45 on a Sunday afternoon to get a TDAP shot to protect the baby from whooping cough. The pharmacist and the tech working the pick up window turned him away! They said, "We close in an hour, and with everything else we have to do we do not have time." Really?! I went into the Walmart this morning. It was quiet and plenty of lanes open. I bought a lot of ceramic plates and small ceramic planters. The cashier Jason scanned all 6 plates and put them in a plastic bag. I mentioned to him that it probably isn't the best way to bag those all at once and he snapped at me saying that they only have two boxes of bags in the back and since he used to work at a craft store, it should be fine but I just need to be careful with them. There were plenty of bags, and I didn't ask for them to be individually wrapped. He was so rude how he said it. It's not what he said, but HOW he said it. He was down right rude and very dismissive when he spoke. I wanted to snatch the button off his vest that said "Happy to Help". READ MY WORDS PEOPLE: DO NOT GET YOUR VEHICLE WORKED ON IN ANY WAY AT THIS LOCATION! They had my vehicle in for a simple oil change and an hour later it was torn apart with no end in sight. I had to take the unbolted pieces home myself and reinstall them. They moved slower than slow and between 6 of them.....they were all on breaks at one time. I actually had to rescue my vehicle from them! As an ex- mechanic of twenty years, i have a keen sense of clueless repair people and this was a graduating class. Stocking shelves....fine but trusting them with your vehicle is a no go. I have dealt with knowledgeable techs at other locations but this location really needs an overhaul. Steer clear and hopefully someone who cares in the management dept there will see this!! Ruined my whole day ! read more

Yes. It just does not get any better for people watching. The heavy woman with the tight Cardinals t-shirt and shorts that crept into the moist and dark gap of her legs. Each step seemed labored. The noise of her sweaty thighs grinding and slipping on each other sounded like a child eating pudding. The slutty looking girl with a low-riding blouse that barely covered the rims of her areolae - each as pink as a kitten's nose. The gruff looking guy that probably had a necklace made of ears in Vietnam. This place is fantastic for the variety of the trainwrecks that shop the aisles. Not a badly organized store but definitely has dumb people working for them and contracted them. There was a demo lady in the store explaining that we would get "free items". The first was a dinky cloth then she got VERY schemy and lied multiple times.. but she was a cute midwestern girl from Chicago and no one thought to question her. This particular Walmart had some good things, but in the end it was the organization from a company standpoint that was why this gets a low star. The employees were nice enough, but the policy and structure was indicative of you get what you pay for. We went in and bought some items, would've been an average 3 stars, but we also got a Grill. The grill mentions it had free construction, but when we inquired they had no one available. So we planned on going back the next day. The item wasn't able to be found for an hour and then it took a while to get the grill into the car. A two hour affair, which didn't make us all too happy. The employees were nice and doing their best, it was just the organizational structure that was lacking. If you are going to offer free building, you should have someone that can do it. If you have an item in your store, someone should be taught what the item does. For Walmart, they have so many items which is a pro and con. In the end, Walmart for us will be a place we go to grab some inexpensive items, but when it comes to anything over $100, I would be wary read more

If I could give this Hell Hole zero stars, I would. One morning, I went to this Walmart to do some grocery shopping. I LOATHE going to Walmart in general, but sometimes I have to buy things there. After spending money, I needed two dollars in quarters to run an errand. If I had known asking for two dollars in quarters, yes all 8 of them, was going to lead to where it did, I gladly would have made another stop on the way home. The first cashier I asked was at the self check outs. In typical Walmart fashion, she was standing there not really doing anything. Upon being asked to exchange two paper dollars for 8 quarters, she promptly lied to me by saying "I don't have a drawer." The self checks have a drawer. I know this. I simply walked to the next cashier, waited until she was finished with her customer and asked her to make change. She refused to do so, saying, unbelievably, "It's against store policy to make change for customers." What? Against store policy to break two dollars into quarters? Surely, this couldn't be true. I went to customer service and was refused service there as well. By this time, I was getting frustrated. I found an Assistant Manager, an obese woman hiding her name badge, and voiced my frustration with having to ask so many "associates" and be denied a pretty basic characteristic of proper customer service that a Goliath retailer like Walmart should easily accommodate. They literally have an ENTIRE ROOM full of change. She promptly rolls her eyes at me and, with the attitude of a true deplorable, says "Well, I'll do it for you, but we really don't want our cashiers making change." It was TWO DOLLARS!! Then she goes full condescending, "Here's one. There's two. Anything else I can do for you?", treating me like I'm the world's biggest jerk because I had the audacity to expect the world's largest retailer to exchange two dollars in quarters AFTER I just dropped $50 on food. She was probably hungry. Anyway, I called the 1-800-Walmart number to complain. The next day, I get a call from a moron named Bill Huckabee, the Store Manager. He starts yelling at ME!! He dropped some choice customer focused rational like "I listened to you, NOW YOU'RE GONNA LISTEN TO ME!" and says "I don't appreciate you being belligerent to my Assistant Manager" obviously because Fatty McStupid had preemptively told him that I was "belligerent", to cover her own trailer sized behind. I was frustrated, but I wasn't "belligerent". And Mr(s). Huckabee wasn't involved with Quartergate, so his understanding of my mental state was complete hearsay. I couldn't believe it. Was this Walmart manager actually yelling at me? I'm in a battle with a Walmart Clown because I asked to exchange two FREAKING dollars. Then he says "Maybe you shouldn't shop here anymore." Oh, don't worry, Cheif; that's goes without saying. Dang man, I know your wife probably messes around on you, but I ain't the guy. This, unfortunately, is not a situation exclusive this this particular Walmart. Every time I go to one of the stores, it's like an exercise in misery. The a large percentage of the clientele make you want to escape without injury. And the associates are some of the most miserable people I've ever seen. From the "Greeters" who usually "greet" you with a scowl, the sales floor staff and cashiers who take much pleasure in NOT treating customers well and the "where else are you gonna shop" arrogance of they're highly overpaid management, it's just not worth the savings. I'll never met an "associate" who wasn't ready to explain for 10 minutes why they can't do a task that would have taken 2 minutes to complete. And some of the "associates" are just plain nasty. I've actually had guys with neck tattoos STARING ME DOWN while I'm shopping. That always makes me feel welcome. Look, man; I know it's your first job since you got out of jail, but you're not actually JAIL anymore! You don't need to shank me in the yard to up your rep, I just wanted some fish sticks. Maybe if the only requirement to work there is to not have an open head wound with brain exposure. And the stores are dirty. Somebody is always getting hurt because it takes an hour for a spill to get cleaned up. Truly a place to avoid. I know Walmart will never rectify the problems that their stores have. The top brass figure they can have dirty, unsafe stores and hire reprobates that treat the customers like enemies because a lot of Americans are poor and can't afford to shop anywhere else. But I refuse to do it anymore. Any other store, be it Fry's, Safeway, Target, Albertson's, freaking Quik Trip, a paying customer asking for two dollars in quarters is usually appeased. Or at the very least, the customer is told "My drawer is light on quarters, but I'll get the attention of someone who can help you." But not Walmart, where it's "Store Policy" to treat customers like garbage, because "Where you gonna go?" I don't make much money, but I'll never spend it at Walmart again. read more

This Wal-Mart can be summed up in one word: Dirty. This has to be the oldest Wal-Mart in the Mesa/Phoenix area and you can tell before you even step foot into the store! For starters, the parking lot looks like a 'stop-n-swap' meet where everyone brings their junk and sets it up in the back of their cars. There is trash everywhere and everything is rundown. Then you go into the store and the flooring is old and gross, the lighting is bad and it has a weird smell. If you happen to need something and you can't find another store near by, this Wal-Mart still has great Wal-Mart prices and the people working and shopping there are really nice. BUT! Do not use their self checkouts!! You have been warned! Here's what happened to me: I scanned two items that I kept in the cart so I pushed that "I do not want to bag this item" twice, the scanner was having a really hard time picking up the bar codes so I had to very slowly repeat my waiving motion over the lasers. Any ways, I get to my next item and it's super light so when I put it in the bag it was like "would you like to bag this item" and since it wasn't picking it up, I just hit the "I do not want to bag this item" button again. Well...that was the 3rd item I didn't want to bag so it triggered an alert and I needed a 'Store log in" The attendant was helping someone else so I sat there...and sat...until the guy came and fixed it for me. Then I got to scan my next item (super glue) - I guess super glue is a controlled item because, again, I needed an override. Okay, I finish up checking out and request $100 back...bad idea I come to find out - the machine only gives me half the change in $10s, but it's still making noises like it's trying to get money out to me. I call my helper over and he kicks the machine and it shoots out two $5s...the thing sounds like it's dying...so my helper calls over to a coworker, who comes over and says "Well you've got to kick it, did you kick it yet" So apparently this happens a lot. I think at the thought of being kicked again the machine spits out the rest of my change in $5s, in a mad panic and falls silent. What an experience. read more

For anybody who is thinking about going here, hear me out. I went here 4 years ago when I lived in mesa. On Stapley drive this location was very dirty. The place was in fact in a scary area of town, vacant and had some very weird creepy people walking around asking you for money. One time I was there and this white tall man ran up to me and my family member if we had any money at all to lone him. We said "no" and he still begged. So we hurried and got out and went inside walmart to tell them what was going on and we had to walk down with a current worker while we were in walking to our car! Then, the guy went on approach to find this guy. For any woman espically be on aware of this people espically at night in a scary area like this. read more
