This Walmart is the closest to my house so I decided to go there to get everyday items that I need. I can honestly say that this Walmart is one of the most unorganized and filthiest ones I have been to. I have seen different ones. But this one has no space to walk without running into anyone. The Ranch Drive Walmart won me over just because I stopped in "late" on Black Thursday evening (12:30 a.m.) to see whether I could get one little item from the doorbusters. I remember exactly when, Sept. 10, 2001, was the last time I visited this particular Walmart. By getting me in the store, I learned that this store really does seem to meet the definition of "SuperCenter", in that there is a goodly sized produce area, in other words a good large food store to go with the array of Walmart products. That's one reason I will go back! A second reason I will go back is that it's now easier to get to this store from Fremont: in the past it involved a rat race with 880, 237, and difficult left turns involving Ranch Drive. Now the south end of Fremont Blvd. and the north end of McCarthy Blvd. are linked up as a 4-lane street/road all the way from Fremont. Just go down Fremont Blvd. past the Tesla factory, or down Cushing Parkway from Pacific Commons or the Fremont Automall. I think that the problem for Fremont is that the City Council put in some restrictions on food sales at Walmarts, but this Walmart is beyond the Fremont city limits into Santa Clara County (which by the way will share in the sales tax collected on nonfood items). I even love the fact that there is an EV charger, at Antec on the southern end of Fremont Blvd. My experience at 12:30 a.m. on Black Thursday had its ups and downs. The sad part is that just in case I stopped in seeking to find a highly-visible color Fruit of the Loom sweatshirt which I bought a year ago at another Walmart for $6. It had been advertised for $4. I stopped here to break up a freeway ride from a Thanksgiving dinner in Los Altos on the way to Fremont. Yes, the sensible theory that a 6 p.m. doorbuster "while supplies last' would not be any good 6-1/2 hours later at 12:30 a.m was mostly true. Yet the store was still mobbed, and there still were crowds pawing through relatively empty cardboard boxes of on sale items none of which I wanted. There certainly were no sweatshirts anywhere near what I wanted, but what there was remaining was a PICKPOCKET who probably had been doing a very good business. When he got nowhere picking my pocket, he asked me "are you bringing out more inventory?" He was traveling with his son, about 12 years old, and took off fast when I looked toward his face. I followed to snap a photo, but he not his son was a face that moved away fast from my camera. OK, I went around to look elsewhere for that item or similar, and I found three of the sweatshirts that had been dumped off by someone in a nearby area. I still thought that the price might be $6, but just in case I took the two I wanted up front and put it through a price checker which returned $4 as the price. So I saved 2 x $2, big deal, on a product which I already thought was a bargain. All of the self-checkouts were out of service in one way or another. However, the cashier I went to, with a line of just one customer ahead of me, was entirely efficient and pleasant. She diplomatically helped the gent in front of me learn how to use his chip-enabled card. Given the turbulent atmosphere, I chose to pay the big $8 plus sales tax with cash instead of credit card. I will no longer be shopping here. Every time my family and I sho here there is an issue. From not having the electric carts accessible and cutting my toe trying to retrieve one while an associate just watched to never having registers open with lines that are wrapping around the store. The last straw was today when I went to use the self check out to purchase corn and was told I could not because I had more than 20 items. The only reason I was using self checkout was they only had one other register open with a long line. When asked to speak to a manager she dismissed the issue just like every time before. read more

The auto shop here is really horrible, besides the actual oil change. They say its about 2 hours but actually took 3-4 hours. 2 hours for waiting and an hour and a half or so for the actual oil change. I WOULD NOT recommend coming here. I would give it 0 stars if I could. read more

This Walmart isn't as ghetto as the one off of Monterey Hwy but it isn't as clean as the one at Fremont. Doesn't smell inside, but it smells outside because Milpitas always reeks like sh*t. Anyway, parking here can be a b*tch...even during lunch hour no matter what day it is. The employees here...filipino. Majority of them are filipino. Weird that a lot of the consumers are filipino also. Hmm...does that play into some factor here? I hate seeing middle-aged and senior citizens work...they should be at home resting and relaxing. NOT WORKING! I guess they need money to make a living or they're bored. I'm not sure what the reasoning is behind it. SooOoo...affordable compared to Target. Don't buy their home and garden stuff, clothing, and techie stuff...tends to not last long enough. On a good note, you can buy snacks, shampoo, tupperware, etc. for a good price. I understand they must be going thru a renovation but the layout is just plain ridiculous! Towels in the garden section (where the plants used to be) wow! I only go to Walmart once a year to buy Family Tree back-to-school stuff for kids. I am giving them 1 star because they price is dirt cheap in Walmart. No other store can compete with Walmart for the best price in school supplies. I am removing 4-stars from this Walmart because this store is so messed up. - The aisle or walkway is narrow and they have display item in the middle of the aisle so you can hardly get the shopping cart thru. I am sure this is dangerous and will cause a problem during emergencies evacuation. (You don't see this at Target) - This place is so dis-organized and you get can diapers in the DVD section and un-related items at every shelf - There seem to be limited cashiers and line is very long especially on weekend - Don't expect to get any employee to help you with any question, you cannot find them. This Walmart has just been remodeled, and a super market was added. It's extremely nice that it was previously. I actually don't think this location is that bad. I utilize this Walmart for my random store needs and I use their optometrist and eyeglass place. My only complain are the rude people that come here. They make my trips here dreadful. I came here last week to purchase my first TV since moving to the bay 5 years ago, and the gentleman in the electronics department was extremely nice and helpful! Granted I came here for the Minute Key machine I had the worst experience EVER. I went to the key machine to make a copy of my car key in which the machine told me I could have my keys made in the store. I walked to the automotive center which was closed when I spoke to a sales associate who told me if I went to customer service I could ask them about having my key made because the machine had told me to have the key made in store. I go to customer service to be helped by a very rude employee who took little to no time to help me. She didn't make eye contact let alone did she even sound interested in helping. When I tried to explain that an employee said they could make the key for me she rudely said only auto center and the key kiosk will make you a key and the auto center is closed. I'm bothered I wasn't just told that politely that I would have to unfortunately have to comeback tomorrow during auto center hours. It's also bothersome that they don't know how their kiosk in their store works. I work retail and know how to search items the system of my job and other departments as well as use machines that are outside of my department. read more

Messy, long lines... but CHEAP. Love how they have a McDonald's in there, so you can shop and eat, well not really cause they tell you not to bring the food out, but not sure how safe that McDonald's or any other one is. Their bathroom is just scary, so hold it. Other than that, it's nice how they have everything all in one crowded place and it's "close" to a Best Buy and Petsmart. GRRR. I hate this Walmart. It's constantly dirty and unorganized, has such a limited selection, their cashiers are super rude and their oil changers are incompetent! I would write out what happened with me but it's too long of a story... so I'll just summarize it. :) I went in to get an oil change some time last year and they told me it was going to be an X amount of time; I kept on coming back EVERY HOUR to check up on it but they said that it wasn't done yet. I did this 5 or 6 times (yes, I waited 5-6 hours) only to find out at closing time that they never worked on my car!! REDONCULOUS! I had the work order and everything! They 'apologized' and offered another oil change at another time since they were already closed but I declined and decided to report it to corporate. Wasted more than 2 freaking hours just to exchange a car battery. Unbelievably slow and unprofessional service I have ever experienced in my life. Absolute waste of your time. They wanted me to wait for hours (did not give me time estimate, just hour or more guestimate) until they recharge and retest my dead battery before exchanging, which is ridiculous. I had to ask for a manager to get it exchanged at the end. And after that I wasted another hour to actually do the exchange because they just could not follow through the formal exchange process. Like for example they were looking for 30 mins for a customer support manager to approve it, then it took 15 mins just to type in my DL info, then they got stuck with something and had to call for help and so on and so on. it suppose to be 15 mins tops to do a simple exchange, gee. read more

I got all the 4 tires installed on my Car in less than 45 minutes today morning. A really nice guy Michael was amazingly helpful. This location works on First Come First Served basis. We've been here a thousand times and it's been ok...until recently! So we came to return a couple of electronics that are defective! The cashier told me they have a 15-day return policy on all electronics. Mine receipt is shows past 15 days. I said ok let me return and I will take store credit instead of cash. The cashier called her manager over...they said they could only give me a 70% value in return....huh??? Never heard of this crab before. I refused! So the manager called on upper management, who never showed up. After about 10 minutes of waiting, the rude manager came back and refunded the full amount. Huh??? Rude rude rude! read more

I came here looking to purchase some essentials for an apartment that I didn't truly want but felt like I should have on hand- tool kit, power screwdriver, step ladder, etc.- as well as to look at some bookcases & kitchen items, so I was looking to spend a couple hundred dollars at the least. I walked in and started my search, because I am slightly indecisive about items and wanted to know more information about the tools I was purchasing I went looking for an employee. I found three, standing around talking in a different language. When I approached them and said excuse me I was greeted with rude stares & they continued on with their conversation. I don't care if you speak a different language, but not in front of a customer & not while you are on the sales floor, it is not appropriate and not appreciated. I speak German at home but ever at work and especially never in front of a patient or client. It is rude and very uncomfortable for the guests who are not able to understand what is being said. The worst part about this is that this is not the first time that this has happened. I despise coming here or to any Walmart & this experiences basically provide to me that I should continue to avoid it like the plague that it is. The isles are thin so you always have to squish when someone else with a cart walks by. So why do I always come here? Those low prices are hard to beat and they have more selection than Target depending on what you need. This is the closest Walmart to my work, so I come here at times to buy what I need. If Target was equal distance I will definitely go there in a heart beat... lines always long, and staffs are mostly rude... today, extra rude. I was looking for a vase for my co-worker at lunch. Couldn't find it after I walk around one time, so I stopped to ask. The first guy pointed me to the childrens clothes section, and when I asked the two workers at the jewelry counter they pointed me to behind the food section. I went there and didn't see it so I attempted to ask a staff dressed in uniform, but she was so rude that I decided to not look further because my time can be better spent elsewhere. Here is what I said to her, an elder Philippino lady, short hair, around 5-foot tall, "excuse me ma'am", attempted to ask her a question, she turned around, looked at me and said "excuse me ma'am, I'm looking to shop myself". There was another customer at the aisle at the time, and she heard that she looked at me and said "damn". So I didn't hear her wrong. WTF was her problem? She was in uniform, and even if she was on break she could have said something more polite. Maybe something like "sorry, I'm on break" and I would have gotten the message, but that XXXXX "excused me" back.... WALMART NEEDS TO WORK ON THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS!!! read more

I don't really expect alot from walmart I usally go to the one in oakland so my expectations are very low but this was worse things are all over the store and its not from customers picking things up and leaving them but from a half done remodel the employees if you can even find don't know where things are mostly but what really gets me is the cashers walking away from there lines with no explanation!!!
