Worst costumer survice, Came here around 3:15 and just wanted to buy one thing. Unfortunately it didnt have a price code and didnt notice till i was trying to pay at rhe gardening section, she sends me to the front so i can get a price check. I went to refister 12 since no one was there at the time. She calls for price check and helps the next person and put my item on the side. She got the price while she was in the midde of helping the person out and she asks me if i still want it. I told her i did and she said ok. After she finished with the costumer she ignored me and started ringing the next person. When my girlfriend asked if she was going to help us she said no , to grab it from behind the register and take it to costumer survice because she doesnt know how. We talked to an assistant manager, she didnt seem like she cared but she rung us up and we were finially able to leave at 4:20!!!! read more

Been waiting over three hours to get the tires fixed on my car. Ask the guy what's going on and his response is idk they're suppose to be working on it wtf?! Then at the checkout counter this lady is sooo freaking slow...like I don't even know if she's alive smh took about 20 mins for her to ring up a customer. I came into this walmart the other day. ANGIE on lane 11 was rude. She was falling asleep, didn't want to help customers with the new card machines, and when you can for help she would just give attitude. Oh also she scanned our beer on the belt and then told my girlfriend to load it back on the cart, not once did ANGIE pick it up. That day she probably took 15 minutes to get us out of the store cause she was very careless. I spoke to the head cashier but unsure if ANGIE really got spoken too. read more

So Saturday morning I made an order online for same day in store pickup. When I was putting order through the .com as they called it at this store asked what store I wanted to pick items at and the nearest store that had all items was this one! So I said well I have some time I'll take a drive and go there. so I choose the Milpitas store. I live in south san jose not a bad drive but still a journey anyway things came up I said I'll just go tomorrow since the .com said they would notify me when they had everything together so I could pick stuff up and never got message! Went in Sunday morning to wait in line for 45 minutes before I could talk to someone so I could be talked to as a kid budd this budd that and to be told they didn't have items talked to 4 or 5 different assistant managers to be pretty much told not in these words but trying to make it short but what I heard was too bad so sad! Now I have to wait like 10 days for a refund and needed other $ for other Christmas gifts anyway purchased items at another store for like $20 something less then online Wich was more expensive not too happy on that either! Also waited on phone the whole ride back to San jose with the story Rd walmart to be hung up on 2 times and put on hold for like 20 minutes but they had item and again cheaper in store and they didn't call me budd! Oh yeah I was in and out in like 15 minutes there and this store was a zoo where Milpitas store was quieter I spent way over 2 hours. never again will I buy from online at Walmart nor will I visit Milpitas store I am not your budd! Worst customer service ever!!!!!!! Waited 15mins on hold for automotive dept. to answer but still no answer and another 30mins go get a hold of a manager but after waiting on a manager for 30mins without an answer I just hung up!!!! I would rate this Walmart a 0!!!!!!!!!!! By the way a basic Oil Change at this place would be about a 5 hours wait. Very bad customer service by the bakery people. I tried to order a cake three times. Each time someone who should take the orders won't be there and others standing there are so useless they don't take orders. Every time told me different rates and finally the bakery manager said the prices I was told were wrong. They really need to work hard on their customer service. read more

Evrytime I go to their auto center my air cap tires are missing!!! My phone charger also missing. They were the only ones who got a hold of my car! And I only notice a couple of days later! It's too late to come back there especially it is too far away for me!!! I just go there so I can shop while they work on my car but unfortunately, they always do a suck job!!! read more

Prices are great, It is just everything else that sucks. Customer service: Asked someone a question, they didn't know where the item I wanted was and walked off. Checkout: It was about 10 minutes before closing. There are two lines open, about 15 deep each. They do not open up another register. I proceed to get into one of the lines thinking that they both should take about the same time. As I get about four people away from the register, the cashier announces that everyone needs to move to the checkstand to the left of her's because she is closing. Of course the other checkstand does not have anyone at it. We are reassured by the checkstand lady that someone will be there shortly. 10 minutes later someone comes by. She the proceeds to ask the original checkstand lady how to turn on the register and how to use it. Escalates to the point where she calls a manager to come help her. After the much needed help, the line starts moving... slowly... The original checkstand lady then says that she can stay a little longer and invites everyone who just moved to the other side back over. It took me 30 minutes to get one item... read more

Yes Walmart has great prices on lots of items but maybe one of the best kept secrets is the fabric section at select Walmarts. The fabric selection is limited but work checking out. I buy my specialty fabric at the quilting store and then go to Walmart to see if I can find coordinating fabrics. It makes quilting alot more affordable and the quilts are still unique. It is really worth a look but save some fabric for me. read more

Then I told the electronics guy that their website said they had it, and as he raised his voice told me NO THEY DONT HAVE ANY, AND THAT HE WILL BET ME IF THEY HAVE ANY. Terrible customer service. We bought a PS2 game yesterday at the store, when we opened the box while still in the store parking lot, the CD was missing. We went back to tell them. The customer service person told us to go to electronics and get another copy to exchange it. They did not have any more. She (Ida) did not believe us when we came back, so we waited till she went to ask herself. Ida then said we need to get something else or go to another store to exchange it. I told her we bought the game from that store and it was empty and that I had a feeling other stores were not going to exchange it, they would tell us to come back to the Milpitas Walmart. She refused to give me my money back ($20) for the game. She was smiling with other customers obviously amused that I was getting frustrated. She went to ask the assistant supervisor and came back to tell us that (s)he said the same thing. I told her if there was a problem at the other Walmart, I was going to tell them to call her. We drove to the closest Walmart (on Osgood in Fremont) to exchange the game. When we first got to the customer service desk, they asked us again to go get another copy of the game from electronics. We got another copy. The customer service person then said she needed permission from the supervisor to do the exchange. She went and got the supervisor who then told us that we needed to go back to the Milpitas Walmart and have them give us a refund. I explained to her that they refused to do that, that they sent us over to that Walmart to exchange the game. I told her to call Ida at the Milpitas Walmart. I'm not sure what the people at the Milpitas Walmart said, but the Fremont Walmart finally exchanged the game for us. The whole ordeal took over 2 hours, from the time we found out the game box was empty to when we finally got the game. Ridiculous! We had the bad luck of getting an empty box and had to deal with horrible customer service at the Milpitas Walmart. I will be filing a formal complaint for what transpired at the store, but I want others to be aware of the kind of service that they can expect from the Milpitas Walmart store. I took my car for an oil change and tyre rotation to this place. There were only one car in front of me. After one and half hours I checked back and the car wasn't ready. I took my car back after the oil change, eventhough it wasn't finished. They didn't even know how to reset the maintenance required light on my car. I did it myself after getting home. This walmart is always busy. I cash my paychecks there and have for three years. they advertise that they do tax checks up to 7500$, but I found that to be a lie. first I took my state check in there, for about 2500$, and I was denied and referred to their check company certigy, for an explanation. they told me the only problem was that I could only cash one check every seven days, and had just done my paycheck three days before. Four days later I was able to cash that check. two weeks later though when I when my federal return came, it got denied too. when I called certigy, they refused to honor the check, stating that it was to protect me from identity theft! What a crock of bull. If walmart doesn't want to honor something, then they shouldn't advertise it. I have been a faithful walmart check casher, and customer, for many years, and am seriously wondering if my loyalty has been mislaid. read more

don't call the store number, it's useless and waste you lots of time. somebody will answer the phone and tell you they need to get hold of someone and ask you to hold (unless you are asking for store hour, which you can see from web). And then you can be on the phone for hours with silence on the other side. Once in a while somebody will pick up the phone and ask you if you have been helped. the answer is of course NOT. Then they will ask you to hold again while they try to get to the right dept. Every time I end of hang up the phone after 1 hour. There was one time I was on headset and working, I noticed that for more than 2 hour that I was on the phone for 2 hours with nobody talking to me. I can hear the phone on Walmart side was moved but nobody bother to pick up the phone. When it happened the first couple of times, I thought it was just my bad luck (I am a very patient person). However, it happens to me EVERY SINGLE time. Even in store, you can hardly find anyone to help if you can't find the stuff you are looking for. I spent hours up and down the ail to find 2-3 things that's hiding as I can't find someone to help. Even if I did, most of them will tell you which direction but I still can't find it (turned out not there). I eventually stopped going to Walmart in Silicon Valley, CA. If I could, I would give it half star instead of one. Nowadays you can also get cheap price from the web, many even cheaper than Walmart. (I had good experience at midwest Walmart stores, but that was 10 years ago.) read more

On Tuesday, 09/04/2012 at 6:05 pm we arrived at the the Automotive Service dept of this Milpitas store, because there was a screw stuck in our car tire. We were told at the service desk that they couldn't help us because they stopped taking in new orders at 6 pm due to " they need 1 hour to close up shop". I looked into the service bay, there was NOT one car inside only 4-5 mechanics(?) chatting and laughing - having a good time. I could understand if the service bay was full of cars and everybody was busy working, but that was clearly NOT the case. 1 hour to close up an EMPTY shop? Why would Walmart pay those guys 8 hours for 7 hours of work? Sam Walton would turn over in his grave if he saw that. That was absolutely ludicrous. read more

This Walmart is close to where I live so I go there, but it's always really crowded. Other than that, it's a Walmart...what do you expect haha. The guy selling cable tv there today though was really rude and called me out in front of all kinds of people for ignoring him when he kept asking questions as I walked past him. This store does not seem too concerned about how it treats its customers (especially partially disabled customers). Last night, I parked outside the Garden entrance as is my usual custom. The stores main entrance is on the other side of the store but parking on that side of the store is crowded so the Garden entrance has much easier access for someone who is somewhat handicapped. Once inside the store I looked for a motorized cart usually found in the customer service area but found none. I looked out into the parking lot and saw a cart there so I limped out to the cart and started my shopping trip. The cart lasted only a few minutes before its battery conked out. I started walking the store and accidently stumbled upon a cart in the middle of the store, that had been plugged in and was fully charged. I suspect It was a cart that had been completely forgotten about by Walmart Staff otherwise it should have been moved to the customer service area for disabled customer use. . Once I got a cart I , I completed my shopping errands and went to the Garden checkout stand (which was open with lots of customers waiting to check out when I arrived) to check out. It was CLOSED. My car was parked just outside the doors but the only way I could get to my car was to go to the main entrance, check out and walk all the way back to my car on the other side of the parking lot. It was 7:25pm on Wednesday evening and the doors were closed. No sign on the garden entrance door that the entrance would close at a particular time, only a sign on the door about Thanksgiving hours which being that it was January 2, held no interest to anyone. We decided to simply leave our carts where they were and go home. We will go to Target from now on. read more

I dislike their service in the electronics area. I asked for more information about an item and their answer was "oh I don't know ask someone else." I don't see why they have a person who's not prepared to help sell their products. I also have to say that worker is quite rude. I was going towards the cashier section and I hear her tell another worker "I told them that they need to pay for those items here but they didn't listen to me and walked away." The other worker came to me and didn't feel confident with her self to tell me to go back. I did as she said but she's unprepared as well. Worst customer service I have ever experienced! I ordered an item online and had it delivered to this store for pickup. The package tracking says that the item had been delivered to this store early this mornings around 9AM (it is 6:45 PM as of writing this review), but I had not received an email confirmation that the item was ready for pickup when I got off work at 4 PM. I called the store to check if my item was ready for pickup. I dialed the store's general number. First call, it took almost 5 minutes for someone to pickup the phone! Someone finally answered, and it was a lady who apparently works in the Jewelry department. I explained my situation to her, and instead of helping me, she rudely told me to call the store pickup department not the jewelry department and just hung up on me. Okay??? How do I get a hold of the store pickup department? I called the second time, and it took a lot longer for someone to pickup the phone. The lady (not the same as the first one) tried transferring me to the correct department, But I was on hold for 15 minutes. Nobody answered, so I hang up. I called again and same lady I talked to previously answered. I told her that nobody answered the phone and told me to hold. She was going to page a manager to help. I was on hold again for 20 minutes this time! Again, no answer, so I hang up. I called again. Same lady answered. Told me the same thing that she was going to page a manager. On hold for 5 minutes, but I just gave up and hang up. Why do you torture your customers???? That experience was just unacceptable!!! read more

I went into to the Milpitas store on Tuesday afternoon. After a complete remodel to a superstore, I was happy to finally get to enjoy your new store! However, I soon became very discourage to experience their overall customer service throughout this store. I was there aroung 4-5pm, (a less busy time of day). I had interaction with 4 diff employee. all seeming to have a "no can do attitude"..Upon entrance to store, I see a checker and am attempting to ask where I can locate detergents. I explained to her my knees were bad and was trying to save steps... but before I could ask, she is quick to tell me she is closed. But I did get my question asked and answered INCORRECTLY She directed my in a totally opposite direction of that dept. Next was In your crafts dept, I asked for help with yarn color and if they were out of stock or if it could be ordered. Employee working dept said she didn't know and began to walk away. I called out to her to ask if she could find out and her response was her manage had just left. while telling me this, she sees supervisor chatting with another dept employee across the isle.(whom I had noticed talking for quite awhile already but didn't think anything of it til this point)...my rep approaches her supervisor to ask for help and she was told that she was off the clock and couldn't help. I patiently waited for the SUPERVISOR to atleast acknowledge me, but never does. The time wasted between super and employee got me frustrated and I gave up and said never mind. It was apparent to me neither had a "yes we can" desire. Next, was in the grocery dept, while I was attempting to reach product on the top shelf, (I being 5' tall and Item not at edge reach) Im trying to knock forward the product with another item, struggling with NO SUCCESS! I suddenly realize someone passed behind me, so I looked thinking they may be another customer that might be tall enough to help me reach my product. I see it is one of WM employee who just passed me right by (oblivious to my struggle!).So I yell out to them and they stop, turn and look as they ask what? I reply: could you please help me, I cant reach...? He did infact help me, but seem to be TOTALLY in his own world, certainly not there with customer service on the mind...So this is now experience #4 and after about walking this huge store for close to 2 hours trying to locate all my needs. (remember my knee issues?) I finally get to the check stand, unload my FULL grocery cart. (taking up the whole belt). Checker finishes previous customer, I walk up and she looks at the belt and tells me they have NO BAGS. I find it interesting that she was quick enough to tell me so she didn't go thru the work of scanning all my stuff and then maybe be told by me FORGET IT! But she didn't have the forethought to notice while I was unpacking my shopping cart, to say it before I got too far. (I really should have walked out at that point, but I didn't)...I must have asked her 4 x's if they were out of bags because of a misorder or were they no longer carrying bags. I never did get an answer I could understand. Except to be told 2-3 times there was a sign at the entrance that notify me they had no bags! Excuse me that I missed that sign!!! When I asked for a store manager, cause at this point I felt I needed to voice my experience. She attempted Slightly to call attn. to a walking by supervisor, but that person just ignored or didn't hear the checkers attempt. WHen I asked for Store Manager, checker said she didn't think they were working. I probably wont be going back to this store even a great remodel. Each employee I encounter, had the same look of "no can do attitude" and left feeling very frustrated. It seems like both supervisor had the same attitude, so it must be coming from the top down...I worked in retail for 30 years and was required to have a YES WE CAN Spirit, no matter what and I did. Giving 1 rating is wasting my ratings!!! If I'm able to give negative ratings, I will not hesitate to do so. This is a first time I place an order online with Walmart, and they estimate the items ready to pick up on Jan. 04, 2016. I came to this store on Jan. 04, waited for 15 minutes to be able to talk to one of the customer service. She told me the items are not arrive yet, I showed her my email which said the item will be ready by today. She asked "when did you place an order?" I reply "I was ordered on Dec 30th" She said " you have to wait at least 7 days". I was totally pissed off because other stores like Target, Sears, Kohl's, Macy's, etc. give me exactly what day I am able to pick up my orders; only Walmart give me a hoax estimate. This is a first time, but it's also last time I will place an order or came to Walmart. read more

Best place to be since this is the closest to my house but then again what you see in the isle is what you get since the staff does not even try to do an effort checking for stocks in the back room if nothing is available on the shelves. Always crowded and kids run around like they are in a playground. Best time to come here is in the morning until around 2 PM on the weekdays, other than that it becomes a jungle! I also noticed that a lot of the items in stock does not match the barcodes . You can't beat the price though. read more

Overall Walmart is good for all your needs, but when it comes to the Milpitas store. The place is a joke. Customer service is the worst except for a few associates in the store who go above and beyond. Management is a JOKE. Customer service after 8 pm JOKE and don't get me started on the freight . I know u wanna start filling selfs ,but store closes at 11pm. You can't fill isles and block customers from shopping at 9 and 10 pm. That pisses me off I would rather go to Fremont locations. TWO MAJOR COMPLAINTS + ONE MINOR COMPLAINT! 1. FAILED COUPON POLICY- they would NOT accept your coupons. TWICE in a row, they told me they would NOT accept my legitimate coupons. They said they know the coupons are real but they're not in their system so they won't accept it. 1 coupon I printed out from the product website the other I cut it from the Sunday paper. OK I thought they said they'd accept manufacturer's coupons? But NO, they don't honor this. I shop at CVS and Safeway and if the coupons happen to be NOT in their system they'd manually enter the deduction and accept the coupons (of course as I said they are REAL coupons). But NO, Walmart Milpitas won't accept ANY coupons, no matter it's a physical or printed-out coupons. 2. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE- the stupid cashier made me stand there to wait for her manager for 10 minutes without apologizing. I mean BOTH her and the ridiculous manager. I can accept that the cashier may be new and young and not trained. But even the manager has the same BAD attitude? Not to say that I was shopping with a baby at the time. I shared this on another forum and someone said it's my problem to shop with a baby and not Walmart's problem. OK I didn't know Walmart is soooo child unfriendly. As a matter of fact, I see babies/ kids at this Walmart all the time. But now I've to avoid to bring my baby there because of their poorly trained associates? OK this is NEW but I just wanted to tell you that DON'T bring a kid/ baby to Milpitas Walmart, otherwise it'd be your problem/ fault. ALSO, they simply told me its the system's problem and they could do nothing and sorry. I actually accept that if they cannot do anything about it to accept the coupon cuz of the technical problem. BUT what I CANNOT accept is they did NOT apologize sincerely, they did NOT care to tell the upper level to try to fix this (I had to tell them to inform this to the upper level and then she simply said "ok" to get rid of me). This is just outrageous. I NEVER complain about anything and I've been a customer there for years but this time it's just too much. The fact that the associates keep me waiting for 15 mins but an insincere apology ONLY for the failed system but NOT the waiting is bad. This is ignorance. My baby started crying because of the long wait (ok this is natural and I can accept this, but don't try to tell me it's my fault to bring a baby to shop there!!!) and they did not even apologize to me about the waiting. Even without carrying my baby, I would NOT accept this kind of service! And yes, if you want to use ANY coupons, DON'T GO TO THE MILPITAS WALMART. This won't work. The associates won't care to help you out! They would just keep you waiting like an idiot there then say sorry they can't help and make you leave. That's all! 3. BE CAREFUL- Some clearance items are NOT real clearance items! Yes they are not real. For a few items (cuz I only looked at a few), I saw that they put the red stickers on top of the original price, but you see carefully, the original price is LOWER than the clearance price! Yes a new trick! OK why 2 stars? Cuz I'd like to credit one female associate that works on the back of the store (for site-to-store pick-up). She is the nicest associate I've seen at teh store so far. Very polite with smile on her face. Good and quick service at this Walmart Pharmacy in Milpitas. Price is much better compare to Walgreen. The same antibiotics costs me 300% more at Walgreen of Milpitas in Calaveras Blvd. I wish Walmart Pharmacy has a direct telephone number, FAX number and email address, so that my doctor and send in prescription to this Pharmacy directly and quickly. I also wish this Walmart Pharmacy has a customer service telephone number for consumers to call ahead and ask for specific time of arrival. So that we do not have to wait for prescription to be filled. But I can spend sometime in shopping area to wait. read more

I bought fruit (Fresh cut up fruit) from here yesterday without checking the expiration date (my mistake) and it was the 17th, and it was already expired! on the 15th. I live in San Francisco so the drive was not worth getting my 8 dollars back. Wish they would just go through their fruit and toss out what is already expired. read more
