Walmart as a cooperation is sucky, how they treat there associates is sucky, and finally shopping in a Walmart can be sucky. I've never worked in a Walmart however... Bitching about Walmart employees is low. Like really LOW. Especially in mount pleasant. Like your aware no one in this town wants to work there nor could afford to live here even in a room mate situation off of those wages so people from North Charleston and other ungodly-far places work there, half the time incapable of driving themselves here for they don't own a car, other words taking a bus to a shit job. If the only place I could work was a far away Walmart with snobby mount pleasant people for customers I'd be miserable too. On top of that I PROMISE a majority of places in this town are lacking staff due to the lack of teenagers needed jobs because Mom and Dad provide them with funds and low income people locally to fill positions. I went to get groceries tonight and there were no carts. Every cart was apparently in the parking lot and no workers were concerned. There were only about ten people in the store so it's not that they were being used. People had to go to the parking lot to find their own cart. That about sums up the customer service at this store every time I go! read more

This store was an absolute disgrace I tried to follow the Instructions for a return of an item bought online. What a disgrace the returns people refused to help even though I clearly had the instructions to follow on my return instructions they also claimed they could not print out a label As their machine was out of order This being the second Walmart I went to to try to return this item I looked for a manager the woman heading the cashiers pointed I the direction of a woman sitting on a chair on her cell phone right outside the vet entrance in the store. When I approached her for help she raised her voice at me and said Cant you see I am on a break she said it more than once and another shopper even got involved and tried to assist me but to no avail. Her name was "Linowa " according to the cash register supervisor didn't know her last name or how to spell it. What's a shame this country is heading down hill all the way. I was surely disheartened to say the least. I have now printed out the label And will return via fedex. It's so much better to use Amazon there is no issue returning their stuff. Went in because their website said they had Christmas sweaters in stock, probably a dozen different types, all with the same aisle location listed. Not only did the aisle not exist, but apparently neither did the employees. I spent twenty minutes trying to find someone, only for them to tell me that the solid t-shirts on a rack were what I was looking for. read more

Worst store ever! My pick up order is never ready, right or in stock! Wait times at pick up are always well over 30 minutes or more. Today my order was never fulfilled, associates hung up on me, tried calling 10 times and no one answers the phone. Had to call corporate to cancel my order. I've never used Walmart for prescriptions, but Target has a terrible prescription system and Walmart has a similar generics list. Transferred my prescription over via the online form, and called in the next day to confirm. Of course they never received the notification. Then they called the pharmacy and were told they don't carry that medication, so Walmart called me back to relay that to me. I assured them that the information was correct, and somehow they made it work. Only a few people in line when I showed up before closing, could be better, could be worse. Overall not an amazing experience but I'm hoping now that it's in the system it'll be easier next time. read more

I sadly came to this location to get a few things we needed. This south IOP location of Walmart's is like stepping back in time. This is how Walmart's were 20 years ago. It is disorganized and dirty looking. Unlike the north IOP location that is so much nicer. This location also has a limited stock in comparison to the north IOP location. I will not be returning here unless I just happen to be in the area. The other location is so much better and has a much larger, cleaner and has a much nicer selection. read more

There is a very nice lady with blonde hair in the craft department. She is always so kind and asks if she can help me find anything. Actually all the craft department employees have been kind! Racially profile people making returns. My mother sent me to return a stove she bought from Wal Mart, and I was told that because the item was over $50.00 I had to have a receipt. My mother called Wal Mart Corp office and they said that was not true. They returned the item at the West Ashley location with no issue. I guess the fact that I'm African American with locs that y'all associate it with stealing. I work in management, I work for everything I have and don't need to steal shit...especially not from no Wal Mart. read more

Pros: much like other Walmart's, they have just about anything you need, and the pricing is very good. Cons: this store seems to always been unorganized, shelves half empty with pallets of items in the isles. Parking can be very tough too. This location is under construction, so maybe it will be better after it's done. read more

This is a Walmart. I have never been in a Walmart worthy of more than two stars. The customer service you get at this Walmart, and all Walmarts, is absolutely terrible. Customer service is an important aspect of where I shop, and the workers here just don't seem to care at all about their jobs. There are some staff that are of the exception, but the majority are lazy and don't really want to help you. Of course since it is Walmart, you get great prices on groceries, and this Walmart is currently in the process of becoming a larger Walmart with a full grocery store. However, the shelves are never face and everything is just sort of placed wherever without a care. The parking here is also tremendous. So, if customer service and a pleasant shopping experience is not important to you, Walmart is always the first place to go! But for the price is you are playing, can you really expect anything that much better? read more

I needed to develop some disposable cameras, and I called ahead to make sure I could at this location. When I walked up to the counter, the photo technician had no idea what to do with my cameras. She directed me to go get forms (marked for employee use only) because she didn't know how to fill them out. When I went to go drop them off, another employee started yelling at me for accidentally walking behind the staff counter (which was not marked at all).I explained to her that it was an accident, but she was extremely rude and clearly looking for someone to take her frustrations out on. I'm not 100% sure my pictures will ever get developed as no one knew how to help me, and no one showed any desire to even want to. Last time I will return to this location. read more

Absolutely horrible customer service. Blatant animosity if you need help at self checkout.... products are mostly put on the shelves in the wrong places, so unless you check the bar codes, or get a scan it's not the price under the product. Just awful service..... I guess these people get paid for just showing up. Pharmacy is always courteous and helpful, but twice we have been treated with disdain, ignored, and even overheard one women working at self scan complain about having to come over to assist! Went to this location with my family tonight, to grab a few last minute items before the holiday. I've never felt so unsafe in a store. Although there were 3 police cars outside, officers were no where to be found. A few men were in the store and were trying to pick a fight with whomever they could. SUCKS! This service is terrible not just phone but also customer service. i waited to get my photos printed for over 1 hour terrible. a woman said she paid another worker to help us. she never came to the photo center to help us. unbelievable. there were maybe 2 workers at the cash registers up front so none of them came to help us. the lady said 3 times that she would have someone come help us. garbage. where is kenneth? he was no where to be found. then after i thought it couldn't get any worse my friend got kicked out by the non existent workers. i thought maybe i would be here at 7:49 and my photos would be here BUT. there was no worker to be anywhere in the vicinity of 50 feet within the photos cash register. Secondly, it took me 5 minutes to figure out how to get my photos printed no one helped me my friends had to help me. Also the bathrooms looked hideous they were full of gunk and nasty roaches i even found a 87 year old man taking a nap in the third stall. INCREDIBLE. Never been the biggest fan of Wal-Mart. But I take exception for the store here in Mt. Pleasant. It's convenient, the staff are helpful, the deli is pretty good, and open around the clock. However, these attributes are the only positives. I think Wal-Mart is one of those stores where people only hit up because it's convenient. No one seems excited to be at Wal-Mart, especially the workers. There never appears to be enough products stocked and what is available is just shy of expiring or all dented up. While you can't beat the prices, the selection is limited. Also, what is up with having so many check-out spots but only having two or three open with actual workers? And the self-check-out machines perform like their operating systems are a few years old. I don't know, every time I'm at Wal-Mart, a part of me regrets it. But when I need something, I'm back at Wal-Mart as if I expect the outcome to be different. Which is pretty much the definition of insanity. But whatever. Wow. I have never wished I could give 0 stars more than to this place they call walmart here... Amazing how you can simply be a pick up delivery person on a completely different app than walmart and still get F***** over. Not express in store, not online delivery pick up.. Doesn't matter welcome to Mt. Peasant mart. Literally had a grocery order for 2 people at 7:30 am one fine morning on a regular week of deliveries for me. This being my first time coming to this walmart, I thought nothing of it. I get to the pick up spot, call in and request the orders. The attendant took a literal 3 minutes to say hello after just letting the phone hang out in the background after answering, oh it gets better... I say the names and then get asked to repeat the names at least 3 more times by the attendant who has now spoken slow and clear enough for a deaf person (no offense) to hear him. Cool "order is on the way". 30 minutes go by.. still waiting. I walk inside to see 2 older ladies hanging out by 2 buggies talking and laughing it up in pick up, which I knew for fact were my orders.. I slowly walk over and the manager comes out the back as if to beat me in a race. She slightly pulls me to the side and asks if she can see me in the hallway??.. really? Okay she then procceds to say "one of the ladies said she didnt like how you sounded on the phone". The look on my face. WELL GEEZ THANKS FOR MAKING ME COME INSIDE TO FIND OUT YOU DONT LIKE HOW I SOUND ON THE PHONE, NOT TO MENTION CANCELING MY ORDER WHEN I ACT UPSET BECAUSE IVE BEEN WAITING 45 MINUTES WITH NO WORD OR NO OTHER PICK UP PEOPLE/ORDERS IN SIGHT AT 7 AM IN THE MORNING. I just moved here. I went to the Walmart on hwy 17. On my way out, they double checked my items, checking to ensure I paid for everything. I got home, took out my bags, got inside and realized that Walmart kept some of MY paid for groceries. So I called the 843-881-6100 and it rang off the hook. I tried calling the various options (deli, pharmacy, electronics, etc...). Doing that, nobody would pick up. No exaggeration...I let it ring well over 100 times to see if someone would pick up and it never happened. So I felt like a thief leaving and I was the one who was robbed. Unfortunately, b/c I just moved here, I was too busy to go back as I have a lot on my plate. I put the phone on speaker and a lady picked up, put me on hold, and never came back. I have never experienced anything like this in my 57 years on this planet. They not only lack customer service, but make you as the shopper walking directly away from the cashier after paying and getting part of your groceries feel like a thief. What a HORRIBLE experience. So they got my $30 -$40 or whatever it was and they can keep it...I cannot put myself through the stress of trying to make this right. Nice Walmart. If I could, I would give this place 0 stars. They don't care about the customer even when they've caused the problem. I had two keys made for my vehicle, neither key worked so I got a refund. When I returned to my vehicle with the original key, it also no longer worked (the vehicle had been cranked at least 4 times that day with said key before going to walmart). We asked the manager to help us and we explained that the keys made by their machine had ruined the tumblers in the cylinder causing it no longer to function. He simply stated that it was the fault of the machine and tried to sweep us under the rug and left us with a dead car in the parking lot. We then had to ask a mechanic who was nice enough to give it a try and even he said that the tumblers were ruined. I advise no one to go to this walmart or any walmart for that matter. Support mom and pop shops because those are the only places you will find someone who knows and cares about the customers needs. read more
