I don't hate Wal-Mart... buy I do have to say I feel like there's not enough hand sanitizer to keep me clean when I do shop at this one. I think in reviewing the 'experience' of going into this WalMart, you have to take the entire experience in consideration. The regular customers of this store have no respect for anything so everything from the carts, the floors, the shelves, the debit card readers... everything has a gooey ickyness to it. I just want to hose the entire place down in bleach! Is it 100% Wal-Mart's fault.. no, BUT -- the fact there is ALWAYS junk in your cart from the last shopper when you get it --- the bathrooms are just atrocious. ( It's a joke that there's a nasty mark on one of the stalls that has been there for MONTHS! I take a kleenex just to open the stall door -- and that's only if I HAVE to use it) are common things that Napa WalMart management should be addressing. Bottom line, there is gross filth everywhere. I realize Wal-Mart employees (of which I was a Wal-Mart employee for 7 years myself) are usually those who have had a harder path in live, but there are things they can do to have a little pride in their workplace. The staff and community that shop there have made it what it is... no pride... and nothing to be proud of. Yes, the prices are low... but I will pay a few dollars more at another store to not be dirty and disgusted when I walk out. PS -- and that Redbox machine in the vestibule -- broken repeatedly. I do like the store. However, some of the staff are very unhappy people. They do not go out of their way to be kind they actually do the opposite, at least the person I had interaction with was that way. Sad to say this lady was training a new person to work. I wonder about this because the new lady working was acting nicer than Sue-the unhappy Walmart worker. I called to speak to the manager supervisor to let them know because this is a holiday/Christmas time, and they left me on hold forever. Called the Walmart to see if they had portable gas tanks. The woman on the phone was very helpful she connected me to who I needed to talk to and they told me that they did have the tanks. I went to Walmart and picked up the tank and waited patiently in line to purchase. The cashier was cleaning her station (spraying and wiping etc). There was one woman who was right in front of me that had maybe 4 items and I had 1. The cashier (Laura) helped the woman in front of me not a problem, then when they finished up Laura turns off her cashier number and asked me to go to a different line and said she was closed. I told her that was very rude and I chose to not use the self check out machines because I do not like them. I said I could go to a different line if that's what she preferred then she decided to help me check out my one item. Pretty much the worst Walmart I've ever been too. It's SMALL. It's not even a real Walmart because they took over the old Kmart location. So don't expect to find all the items you are used to at this location. Isles are messy. Sketchy customers. There is NO jewelry counter. I don't buy jewelry at Walmart but I do get my watch batteries replaced. Not at this location. Parking lot is small and always full. What I go to Walmart for -- well, Walmart has an exclusive deal with a winery named Oak Leaf. And like Charles Shaw (2 buck chuck), these wines cost less than $3 a bottle. ($2.97 to be exact.). I love the Sweet Red or Moscato. I try to not shop Walmart as a rule of thumb - but once in a while I have to and I wish I could avoid this location. I was looking for a certain item couldn't find it, it was a little after 9 plenty of employees I asked these three young men the two just said "ugh we don't know the other went to look for it and found nothing n said " I guess we don't have it". On my way out I asked one other employee her name is Wilma, this woman went out of her way to look for me, then checked on the computer, and finally called the mgr. My mother had a Napa Walmart delivery set up for Monday October 4, 2021 between 1-2 pm. It is now 7:58 pm and there is still no delivery! Not one telephone extension to this store had been answered and there had been no telephone call to her explaining the delay. When she might expect this delivery??? Went in yesterday to pick up a few things around 2:00 PM, likely my last trip there. When I arrived there were no carts in the normal areas outside so I walked in the exit to get a cart, there were several there. I was immediately told I could not go in the exit, and I was to get a cart in the foyer, except there were none. Finally had the greeter (the guy who told me I couldn't go in the exit) get me a cart from the the exit side, he was not happy, kinda grumpy for a greeter. Picked up a few things and when I checked out, the checker Wilaflida was wearing her Covid mask around her neck, so much for Wal-Mart upholding their part of the mask update. read more

BEWARE of Pharmacy-- I went in on a Friday with a new prescription, I called the following Wednesday to check on the status. I was told by an associate and a manager it was out of stock and they did not know if or when it would be filled. This is a prescription that should me taken as indicated. Walmart did not inform me there was a problem, and did not offer or suggest available options to solve the issue. I get it, yes a Walmart is a walmart. This is a whole 'nother level of Walmart. They have the basics like every other store but they reallllly need to step it up in the deli. Borderline county health department shut down status. Some of their prepared salads were looking like they were worse for wear. Crusty looking, cracked 'crab cakes'. Grey macaroni salad. Wilted spinach salad with a slight coat of something slimy. I shudder to think how old those items were and they just looked sad. The counter girl also needed some assistance of sorts. As far as the fish section is concerned, this store is the second option in the Napa Valley, better than Petco and worse than Aquatic World. Pros: Equipment prices (nobody beats them). Fish are relatively healthy at a very good price (no fish I bought here has ever died). Cons: Selection is very limited. Shopping here is anything but fun. Wal-mart fish are said to be poorly treated ( I can't confirm it because my fish from this store are doing great, half an year later). read more

As Wal-Marts go, this is one. The prices are cheapish, but not so much more so that you'd shop here rather than Target or the local supermarket. The cold florescent lights, commodity construction, lack of color, exposed beams, & numbered aisles fit an internment camp rather than a warehouse. Couldn't of had better customer service from this Walmart Employee! I called Walmart November 2nd and was connected quickly with the food department employee Jamie. I first asked if she had the 36 count Nestle water on hand? I had noticed it was sold out online and I was in need of 16 cases to purchase for a donation I was making to a Non-Profit golf tournament for education I was working on. I also asked about on hand counts of Gatorade as I needed 16 cases of that as well :) She asked me for my name and number and said she would check on the floor and back of the house inventory and call me back. It took all of 5 MINUTES!!! I asked her if she would like me to buy it over the next week, but she rest assured I would not deplete her shelf for other Napa families to go without. I asked her how quickly I could pick it up? She replied "Is 15 minutes good for you?" I said "yes!!! I am on my way". My office is only 3 minutes away. She told me to go to the customer service center and ask for her. Within 5 minutes of arriving I had a pallet of product at the front of the store and my worries about online ordering and store pick up in time for my tournament next week was a thing of the past! My President and CEO was so shocked when I said "Task Completed" :) Jamie made me look like a rock-star!! Couldn't get it online but my local Walmart made it possible!!! this post is about missing price tags and other issues anyway I always have some sort of issue here an it's the only place i can afford for my needs because of the tight budget I get supported by a independent living program for people with disabitys i get supported where needed but independent but it is hard for people like me to find a good paying job so this walmart is my only choice anyway a good majorty of the shelfs don't have price tags so i have to search for someone to help me with pricing or the tags have fallen an i don't know witch one matches what item and it is hard to find help as well an lots of empty shelfs as well and one of the few rare times i need make up i press the button to get someone to unlock the one i want an it takes over 2 hours to find someone and there is lots of times where you can't find a cart cause the workers don't keep track of when they need to collect them from the parking lot read more

Horrible and decadent staff, rude and intolerant. I became homeless due to losing my job and other personal issues but I am currently trying to get back on track. Napa is not a place to do so. I slept at the side of the parking lot next to other campers that probably sleep there all the time. Anyways I probably spent 100$ or more a week there. I slept once there, go in the store and shop. I leave my basket for 3 minutes and the manager gave my basket to a cashier and told her as soon as I get my basket I have to check out and leave. Now what kind of crummy cruel thing to do is that?! Also considering I'm a loyal customer as well. If you are homeless or don't have anyone to help you definitely shouldn't go to napa, they are all intolerant, cruel, no insight or empathy whatsoever. You Google overnight sleeping and wallmart is one of the places that pops up. This one is a special Walmart i guess. Also I have tinted windows and am ugly or mean looking so it's very easy to jump to conclusions and think I'm a felon or drugdealer. If there was another store in town that was as cheap as Walmart I would go. But considering they have some reasonable prices I continue to shop here even with how annoying this store can be. The workers that do the grocery pick up practically run you over with the carts. There is so many pallets just sitting in the isle. I one time needed to check the price of something and I asked one of the workers carrying a device that checks the price (I believe they are called a zebra) and she said there is no scanner to tell me the price. As she is holding the scanner ! I asked another employee sitting by the garden center. He was on his phone and he had one of those devices to and he said he could not check. It seems like to be qualified to work here you need to be rude and not know how to follow Covid guidelines because I have had workers bump into me, hit me with those damn carts and be straight Up rude or unhelpful. They can't even wear a mask correctly! It is under their nose half of the time. I don't see them sanitize any carts or the self check out machines. I used to see them cleaning the floors pretty regularly but now I don't see anyone with even a broom. It is sad how this Walmart has fallen apart. They used to be great. read more

They really can't be bothered to answer any phone calls. I was in there today and I believe the cashier forgot to hand me my last bag. When I got home I realized I had missing items that were indeed on my receipt. I immediately gave them a call to see if my last bag was still there, been on hold since. 1 star for return desk. You can only do returns from 8 am to 8 pm. Also, oftentimes, even though there are 3 registers at customer service desk, there is only one employee working and a long line of customers. This is why I much prefer shopping at their competitor in town. read more

Just had one of the worst customer service issues I have ever had!!!!! Called to just get a copy of a receipt that I unfortunately missed placed. Not their fault. However when I called and was transferred to customer service desk where , this is the interesting part, the asked me to hold and put the phone on counter and proceeded to talk trash about other employees and customers for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes I got fed up and tried to call 5 more times with no luck of anyone answering. I was either put directly on hold(happened one time) or was hung up on. I try very hard to avoid Wal Mart at all costs. Still, there are occasions when it is unavoidable. I have used their photo machines to make copies of pictures many times and I would give that a thumbs up. Wal Marts and other stores like it have replaced alot of smaller, more specialized stores already, and it is going to worse. Wow, I can see why this place has such low stars... I couldn't find this Indian simmer sauce (in the Spanish/ oriental aisle) and had to ask 5 employees who all told me the same thing. The Napa store is a joke, no one answers phones in most departments, transferred from person to the next, still never reached the department I wanted. Online inventory for in store purchase is incorrect. No one there capable of checking stock that is not on the floor as well as checking with other stores. Just a very frustrating trip. THIS IS THE WORST WALMART YOU CAN GO TO!!! The people are very rude and don't know where anything is and are very unhelpful!!! Took me 30 minutes to get lunch meat at the deli just for 2 pounds of meat. Went to get ammo in the sporting goods section and the people were so rude it was insane after waiting 10 minutes at the case with 2 Walmart employees talking by the register I finally interrupted them and a lady named Andrea rudely said that she the other guys would help me when he got back and that she dident have the keys the keys she had clipped to he belt then she returned to her conversion after waiting five more minutes and still not getting any help I went to get checked out and it took forever Went back a couple days later after work at night and Andrea was the only employee in the sporting goods section and when I asked for ammo she promptly told me no she was closed over here THEY ARE BY FAR THE MOST RUDE AND AND UNHELPFUL WALMART I HAVE EVER BEEN TO!!! This Walmart in Napa has gotten progressively more awful each year. I used to go there for shampoo, cosmetics and cleaning goods, but after my last visit in November 2019, I will not be returning. They have made the aisles in cosmetics very narrow, and everything is locked up. To have to find a sales person to buy a mascara is just over the top. I will not return to this store ever. read more
