Awesome , I was able to get everything I needed by that evening. I had a pretty big order 85 items and everything was there. The vegetables and fruit looked good, that was my only concern. I received a text letting me know the order was on the way and arrived on time. Everything was bagged and left at front door. I would absolutely recommend this service. This Wal-Mart is literally the worst one I have even been to. Wal-Marts don't have much going for them anyway so it takes a lot for me to actually feel the need to comment on one! They are ALWAYS out of everything, it doesn't matter what time you come, the shelves and especially produce will be bare. This is the only Wal-Mart I'm Napa so the lines are always exceptionally long and they never have more than 3 check out lanes open, NEVER! So, if you are in need of something and don't have hours to waste, I suggest spending the extra couple cents and going anywhere else. Don't even think about making a return here, even if there are 10+ people in line, they do not open another register. I hate The Walmart That being said I keep going because I can get most everything I need there in one stop and it's cheaper than other places. As of late that is just not enough to get me to go anymore. I'm to the point where I get there, park and sit there for a min or 5 to convince myself to go in. I'm not sure why they sell frozen food, because it's thawing out by the time you get through the long lines. Once you get through that line you still have to make it past the little lady at the door that I think used to be a NAZI INTERROGATOR. Don't ask me for a receipt when you just saw me wait in line for 20 min and then pay. It's not Costco where you need to show it at the door. I REFUSE to show my receipt every time she asks. This Walmart is also NOT open 24/7 like a lot of the others. You don't even have the option of going in at a late hour when it's just you, maybe one other normal person and a few freaks with wardrobe choice making issues that are there because they have the munchies or they have no place else to go. They also stopped selling Land O Lake white american cheese. (criminal) When I feel like I need to ruin a perfectly good day I'm going to Walmart. Until then I really don't want to go. I arrived at 8:50 and waited for the pharmacy to open at 9. No one showed up until 9:10. Though I was the first person in line the pharmacist did not take my order until 9:25 because she was busy eating her breakfast. I asked how long it would take for my prescription to be filled and was told forty minutes. The pharmacist then left the pharmacy and I saw her 15 minutes later coming out of the employee lounge with a cup of coffee. On her way back to the pharmacy she stopped to chat with other employees. Needless to say I wasn't very happy but she was true to her word. By the time she got back and filled my prescription it was exactly 40 minutes. I hate this walmart! The only reason I go is for the low prices on toilet paper etc.... No matter what time of day or night I go, I'm screwed. I either hit the time when they are stocking which means trying to avoid the personnel dragging palates of merchandise through the store or they haven't started stocking yet so I see bare shelf after bare shelf of exactly what I went in there for, And what is up with checking out? 14 lanes of registers and 3 are open. If you are going to have 14 check out lanes then by god open them all! I understand there are times of the day or night when it is slower, can't figure out that schedule obviously, but good god. after the earthquake in Napa this weekend. there were so many people shopping to replace broken items you would think to have all stations open to accommodate the crowds. You guys don't even accommodate us when we are not in crisis mode! When this store first opened there were floor supervisors that would stand by checkout to direct the traffic. Wow i'm really reviewing a walmart, Which i never in my wildest dreams would have imaged. Well I have a different perspective on this place than other people. I recently moved to Napa and I'm used to the Walmart in Antioch,ca, the one that is only open until 10am due to customer safety and the one which you are guaranteed a fight or robbery at least once a day. That being said this place is heaven. A Good selection of food, electronics, and miscellaneous items truly make this a one stop shop. It may not have all the amenities as some of the other places in Napa have but trust me when i say they come way worse than this one. read more

Never been treated more unfair or made feel so disrespected. I went into the Napa Walmart with a girlfriend and proceeded to the restrooms to use the bathrooms to go pee and was followed in by a Walmart employee named Toni and she asked me my gender and then told me to use the men's restroom or go to target where my kind are allowed to pee where they want. One you CANNOT ask someone's gender and TWO I'm legally recognized by the United States as a female and wear women's clothing have had multiple surgeries and take daily medication. Oh Walmart, Walmart, Walmart, what can I say about Walmart...well nothing really positive...the prices are good for the most part, decent pet department and cereal aisle. Anyways, Napa Wal-Mart - Better than Ceres and Modesto Wal-Marts, still worse than a kick in the nuts. SLOW, fairly dirty, should probably know spanish, SLOW and really slow. Probably the slowest checkers I've ever experienced, been here a dozen times because I really needed something from here or had a lapse of judgement, I've easily spent 15 minutes in the "speedy" 15 items or less checkout and that is only behind about 6 people, I would say the average checkout time for one customer is 3-4 minutes which is probably the slowest you will ever see. I'm pretty sure the associates are trained by either a sloth or eeyore. I watch them with agony pick up each product, stare at it like they are contemplating buying it themselves, find the barcode and then swipe it slowly across the barcode reader, then again, and again, and again. If the person you have in front of you has a product that needs a code looked up (like fruits and veggies) I would recommend pushing back any plans you had for after you shopped to a different day. On a note directly to Wal-Mart executives, I know you do not read Yelp posts but I can dream. There is a measurement that other stores take the average time per transaction per units in the transaction to measure the capability of their associates. If you figure out how to do this, take your associates time and divide it by 3 and that's what all other stores hold their associates to....just thought you might want to know...look me up if you would like a more thorough explanation of this process. I am dissatisfied with the way my return was handled today in be Napa Walmart. I was I was only given 50% of my purchase price on my return of a full priced Halloween costume and t shirt that was not seasonal. I specifically asked a sales associate when I purchased the items if they could be returned for a full refund if they did not fit once I got them home to try on. She never mentioned I would not receive the price I paid after Halloween regardless if I had the receipt. I would never have purchased these items had the return policy been told to me truthfully. For the most part it's really not that bad..as long as you go in with no expectations! Stop your self from assuming you will be in and out quickly and you will be just fine. If your lucky you might be in a line were the cashier doesn't need to check a price or get change for the register. Should mention that there are many employees at this location who are always friendly and no matter how long their day was or stressful they will smile and ask you how you are doing. If you get a chance say hello to Mike. He works in the camping section! An incredibly sweet and respectful man. He should become a training model for what customer service is all about. Hopefully you run into him instead of a girl by the name of Felicia. Disrespectful is an under statement of her actions last night. She could stand to use a lot more training under what exactly respectful customer service is! Judging by her condescending attitude she must have skipped that training all together. Hopefully the boss comes across our encounter on the video feed! Not only was she was out of line on many levels with no regards to the situation at hand but the situation that arose from her extremely outrageous behavior was a dangerous one! Good thing no cars were zooming past because one of us (the other elderly customer and or me) would have been hit by it. It's 6:15 am on Saturday 12/18/2010. I called Walmart in Napa to find out their hours of operation, since one cannot find them online and is advised to call the store. I keep trying to like this store because it is so close. I just can't. The shelves are constantly empty the staff is not helpful. There are a few who are nice and pleasant. The rest are oblivious. Wal mart is a place of well not the most quality of people and their employees minus a few are super lazy and moves slow.. A gal in the customer service place was rude and I told my friend "never do lay away at wal mart again" and she rudely said "well then don't shop here" ... Super rude and had a huge line .. I do customer service a living.. Id never tell a customer not to visit my place of work... Terrible customer service! I called today to ask about the iPhone promotion that is on this week's ad. When I was transferred to electronics, the Walmart employee was very rude. She said, "what do you want?" repeatedly and when I asked about a specific iPhone model, she hung up, not wanting to take the time to check inventory. I recently got health coverage and my doc called in my perscriptions for my meds. When I went to pick them up, I was told that one of them was $150.00. The pharmacist told me to wait and she wanted to look into why it was so much. Come to find out, he put the perscription in and did not put it under the insured price. After 30 minutes of research, the perscription that was $150, (Generic even) was only $15.00. Walmart Pharmacy RULES!!!! I've never had a bad experience in the store at all. read more

Older Walmart in Napa. The parking was fine. After the earthquake there was some linoleum missing from the floors. The store has some good points i.e. holiday items are plentiful, it is pretty clean and selection was good. They have a lot of clearance too. The bathrooms in back were pretty clean for Walmart. Service was the usual serve yourself with an ok check out experience. They had one of the two things I came for specifically, and several I didn't but wanted, so that is ok in my book. I would give this Walmart 0 stars if I could. This is my first complaint ever written. I don't know why I keep going back there? It's the closest Walmart to me because I live in a rural area an hour away. There's their one star rating for location to me. Lines are ridiculous, plan on waiting in line anywhere from a half hour to 45 min. on a Friday or Sunday. They have two checkers open and lines all the way back to the isles of merchandise. You have to dodge all people walking by. They have employees standing around and watching while this is happening. This Friday my mom and I waited for 20 minutes in line, had one more lady in front of us that pulled out her Wic papers nothing filled out!! We waited another 20 to 30 minutes waiting for them to fill out all the paperwork stuck behind them!! My mom has knee problems so she had to go wait in the car while I put her items with mine. Store is small for Napa and needs to be updated!! I will be driving the extra 15 minutes to American Canyon from now on!! read more

Just had a great experience with the service at our local Walmart. I just needed paper towels, napkins and bananas. I paid at the self service checked On the way out this door lady stops me, checks my buying, compares it with my receipt. She looks up and says "This is incorrect. Walmart's return policy is idiotic. The manager I spoke with when I tried to return a defective bicycle I bought was equally as idiotic. I purchased a bicycle less than a month ago and it's already falling apart. The crank and pedals keep loosening and are basically falling off because it was designed poorly. I've already had to reattach them more than once and finally decided I was sick of it. I lost the receipt but in this day and age you shouldn't need one to return an item that you purchased with a credit card and . I can prove that I purchased it with the credit card and I can confirm my identity so it only makes sense that a retailer should be able to refund you for something that you can prove you purchased. In this case, I was just told repeatedly that they need the original receipt and couldn't refund an item over $50 without a receipt. After trying to reason with this "manager", all she could say is we could reprint the receipt but we need the original receipt to do the return because she needed some transaction code and if you want I can have our bike builder take a look at it and see if there's something he can do. Obviously there's not anything he can do because the item is defective and the design is flawed so he's going to do the same thing that I've done more than once already and it's gonna fall apart again. And I don't care about the transaction code. It doesn't make sense to me why I can't have my money back for something that I can prove I purchased. She just never gave me a good reason as to why I couldn't be reimbursed. I also work in customer service and do just about anything I can to make sure my customers are happy, within reason, and this is definitely something that I would find reasonable to do. That's why there are managers in place. To solve problems like this not just read you company policies. The first person I spoke with could've done that. Now I'm stuck with the defective pile of garbage that's just gonna sit and collect dust. And not once in this entire interaction did this "manager" even apologize for any inconvenience or anything. She just stared at me with an emotionless look on her face, void of any kind of thought. I hadn't gone to Walmart for a long time until recently and couldn't really remember why I stopped choosing to go there but this frustrating encounter, that felt like I was talking to a rock that someone painted a face on, reminded me why. It's definitely worth taking your business somewhere else because you know you're going to get treated better anywhere else but Walmart. read more

This Walmart is a DUMP. No way to sugar coat it. Dirty floors, dirty restrooms, aisles crammed with shippers and pallets of merchandise. The produce section always has bare shelves and empty bins. The meat section has more empty shelves than product for sale. The fluid dairy (gallon milk, cartons, coffee creamers, etc.) is ALWAYS empty. When I look through the empty racks in the dairy case I can see pallets of unworked product and the dairy cooler's stockroom shelves are jammed with unworked merchandise. I'll drive to the American Canyon SuperCenter before I set foot in the hovel of a store. read more

One of the few Wal-Mart's that I've been to that is actually clean. Also, the grocery section is really nice. They need to learn how to restock their products though. 4 out of the 7 things I was planning on purchasing were not on display and their makeup section was completely wiped out, like it's been like that for days.
