Rachele in self check out went above and beyond. I forgot my card at home and she helped me move to another register and input my card manually. I called my husband, he was at home with our children and he read off the number to my card. She was so patient and this avoided me having to leave my groceries which prevented loss for Walmart because many items were refrigerated so possibly Wal-Mart would have lost those items. Plus the time and hassle of putting back other items. She definitely prevented me over stressing and helped us pay via manually inputting card thus saving my time and gas going to get my card and back reshopping all the items. She was so nice and patient and calm. I really appreciate her. The ladies in customer service were also incredibly nice as well. read more

You never know what kind of experience you are going to have walking into a Walmart. Luckily, this one, which is closest to my house, has never given me any strange or odd experiences like some others have. They have a very large parking lot with solar carport canopies. I think those are great! More retailers should do that and maybe try to keep the prices lower! Just a thought. This store is usually clean and has friendly employees. I typically come for the groceries. The rollbacks on some of the groceries make it worth it. read more

Roberto should not be a manager at customer service. Truly an awful human. Rather than stepping in and managing by helping he acted too busy. I came here to do a deposit to a Chime account. It's usually quite simple. 7 am. I walk in 20 or more employees see me and another employee standing in line at customer service. No one comes to the desk. All in all I stood there 15-20 minutes before being acknowledged. Then, another 10 minutes before a person behind me came in line and a lady popped out and said is it a return? And helped the person who suddenly came behind me for 2 minutes Another 5 minutes rolled by and the person in front of me was helped. Finally I was up and my transaction literally took less than 2 min Chassity who they threw onto a register did a better job than her whole management team. Clearly they are promoting the wrong people. And it shows. 30 min for one transaction but no line and over 20 employees aware and no one saying anything. Management not caring. Would not come out of my way again. Bad service non existent customer service clearly due to poor management. Chassity was the only one working. Kudos to her. She deserves a raise. read more

If you only need a small number of items, Walmart is a great choice. I especially like the older ladies who work there. They are very sweet and always have such a positive, cheerful attitude toward their work. Even at their age, they work in such a gentle, calm, and comfortable way, which I truly admire. Walmart's prices are very reasonable and often cheaper than many other stores nearby. The store is clean and spacious, making it comfortable to shop. Alright, Walmart is Walmart but some locations are better than others. This is the one I prefer. I shop at Walmart for the good prices and the fact that it is one stop shopping. I can get everything I need there. My only criticism about this location is that run out of items a lot and there is some price discrepancies. Meaning the price tag and the check out price don't always match and of course its higher. That makes me mad but not enough to stop shopping there. Just be aware. read more

I've ordered two custom cake at this Walmart. The first cake, it was completely melted, the icing melted all over the place, the second cake, it didn't even look the like the picture I had ordered, she did a poor job because the night before, the cupcake coordinator called me about the cupcake order and I asked about the cake I ordered, the cupcake coordinator told me that the cake coordinator did not make the cake yet. I went to day to pick my orders and the cake order, you can tell it was rushed and doesn't even look like the cake I ordered, I was fine with the cake not having the toppers because they told me about but the cake coordinator that the icing color is different because of the type of icing, that was not the problem, the problem is that that cake doesn't even look the same read more

#1 The Pharmacy. I cannot say what a pleasure it is to have my meds filled there. The staff, pharmacists, and managers go OUT OF THE WAY to make sure you are taken care of. Any questions or concerns are treated with kind respect and solved quickly. Just THE BEST!!! #2. I was browsing the vitamin aisle and a staff member was restocking and stopped and asked me if I had any questions. SHOCKED! WHAT?? And, so happens I did! She helped me and I found what I was looking for without a huge search. Amazing that staff are being trained in customer service. Ohhhhh - I maybe should have checked the reviews on this place before I went there. It was one minute closer to me from the one in Encinitas so I chose this one. Definitely not a Supercenter! The women's clothing section is almost nil. The game and toy section is smaller than most Walmarts. If you've ever been to a Walmart in Utah or Oxnard, you would know better. Not a Supercenter! Walmart won't let you do more than $100 at the register for gift cards. Instead they make you wait in a long service line with only one person helping in order to get gift cards. The lady at the register said it's because of scammers. So they ruin the entire checkout process after instituting a horrible blanket policy. I have been trying to place an order for delivery for an hour. I keep getting an error that says to wait a moment and try again. I kept trying but kept getting the same error. I received an email saying I had a fraud alert. I checked my online statement and see that I have TEN $63 charges pending. I called my credit card company and they said it's a Walmart issue. I called the national customer service number, talked to a robot who told me to try a new card. I did, but still got the same error. Now I have two pending charges on that one. I tried to call my local Walmart but nobody will answer. I am so stressed out and they won't answer their phone. They never do. Returned an item today ( Thursday 4/17/25) at this store around noon. When I arrived at the counter, the female employee just stared at me as if she was in a trance. I said "Hello" and she did not respond. I said it a second time, in a louder voice, and she managed to utter a weak greeting. Time to get rid of her. After having groceries delivered for over a year it was so exciting to go into an actual grocery store! My husband and I are fully vaccinated and felt mote comfortable venturing back in the real world. So much to buy as far as the eye can see! It was almost too overwhelming walking up and down the aisles, throwing all kinds of items in the cart: pork shoulder roast, quiche, froot loop jumbo snax, bbq chips, bananas, tamales, guacamole, Franks red hot, wings, Rolos... we were out of control! We ended up with tons of impulse purchases but it was so fun to be out of the house. Worst customer service ever. Went shopping there the other day and stood in line for a checker, just didn't have it in me do ring up my own items. And we'll get back to this issue shortly. Anyway, I paid with my credit card but needed change so I could buy lotto on the way out. I handed the girl my $20 and ask for change, 2 $5s & a $10. Flat out said NO. Are you kidding me, since when can't I get change? Was half tempted to buy a pack of gum or mints but wasn't willing to pay $3 for something I don't chew/eat. I could have always just returned at customer service, which I should have done. So I go over & wait for help to get change. The woman that I was talking told me no also. Of course my smart mouth said, are you fu**ing kidding me? I asked why. She responded with, well first, I'd have to call a manager over to open the drawer and second fraud. Of course I responded with my first response. And don't you have that pen that checks for counterfeit? She then proceeds to tell me that she'll do it this one time and asks the manager, who is maybe two feet away from her, to open the drawer. Oh she had to call the manager over from so far away. I said never mind. Well maybe not as nice as that. I left just steaming. You got probably see the steam coming off of me. By the time I got to the car, I was over flowing with irritation. I know it's petty but I went and returned everything. While I like the prices, I will never return. Roxane who took my return was the only bright side of my day. Now let's get to self checkout. Explain to me why they have self checkout and there is usually 4-5 Walmart employees working in there? Why not have them working a register? And why is there someone at the door asking for your receipt? They don't look at your purchases. And they only stop half of the people walking out. This isn't Costco. People, go to Target. Went to Walmart today to return some items. I arrived at exactly 8 pm when apparently the customer service desk stops taking returns. This in itself is a problem, but what makes it worse is the attitude that is dished out with this early closing time! Walmart, you need to fix this! Target takes returns until they close! The cashier there named Jessica was so extremely rude and nasty and demanded that they were closed refusing to help me. Mind you, the store does not close until 11pm. She already had the area roped off long before I arrived at 8pm and there were 2 other people in line. I asked her to call the manager because I really needed to return my 2 items. Instead of providing good customer service, Jessica was rude, she had a very bad attitude and refused to call her manager to help me. She actually did complete my return but she threw my receipts at me. I again asked her to call the manager because she was being so rude to several other customers including myself and this was unacceptable and needed to be reported. I don't deserve to be treated rudely where I shop and neither does anyone else. She told me her manager was on lunch, which was not true as confirmed by the very nice manager when she arrived to speak with me. Jessica is very unprofessional and nasty to many people, especially people who did not speak English. After waiting for 30 minutes in line, I politely went up to make my return when I was called up by SUE in customer service. She was angry and rude the whole time, complaining and giving her rude opinions about my purchase and even used curse words. I stood in silence while she made all her remarks. Not bad for a Walmart. Most items are in store. I was visiting for two months so this Walmart was the one closes to the the house. Shopped about five times. The one thing I noticed was that when I needed help there was one young man that always seem to be there to help. I swear he must sleep there. His attitude was cheerful and he was always wiling to help me find my items. I wish I could remember his name but he did say he always wanted to visit NC. The experience for this place was about the same each time. The biggest complaint would be trying to find a parking place. The next complaint was no stock in the nail, makeup, hairspray area and items not marked. Food was usually on hand with no problems even though eggs were $8 a dozen but not their fault. This walmart location carries more products not sold at other walmart stores around north county, but staff are unhelpful. However, this location is not as bad as Vista Walmart, which has awful rude staff. Prices are also inflated, cheap products cost alot. read more

Haven't been here in ages and now I remember why. Totally inconvenient. I came looking for some garden supplies and logically parked near the garden center on the north side. But only to discover that there is only one entrance and exit for the entire store located on the south side. So if you are coming for holiday decorations or garden supplies you have to park near the main entrance where everyone goes in and grab a cart and wheel it all the way to the north side of the store and get what could be fairly large and heavy items and load a small cart and then wheel it all the way back to the south side of the store to check out... Maybe someone should have thought of this ahead of time... Now I'm off to home depot because they don't have what I need. read more

I needed to pick up (2 Items) at the Walmart Supercenter at the 3405 Marron Road location this afternoon. Tomorrow on Sunday, December 8, 2019 is the last day to pick up my order. I walked to the Orange Pick Up Kiosk and entered the last (4) numbers on my Pick Up Order print out. Then my First Initial and my Last Name showed up on their board. My last name was misspelled but Santiago caught this mistake and retyped my last name in correctly. Santiago this Pick Up Associate brought out my two orders from the back room. Santiago gave me my (2) items and then I had to sign my full name on his Palm Pilot device. The items I picked up today was the Rubbermaid Take Alongs Food Storage Containers in the larger (3.2) inches size and the (2) quantity of the Mainstay Pillow Cases. Ty this Lead Front-End Coach was very nice also in assisting me with my pick up order. I also had to go grocery shopping afterwards at this store. Even though it was raining today it didn't stop the mass amount of customers that was shopping at Walmart Supercenter. The customer service continues to be excellent at this location. Business operating during the pandemic, "thanks, but no thanks" Review #3 my first visit to WALMART years ago can only be characterized as depressing. i still go back, from time-to-time, in an uncomfortable mix of convenience and necessity. if you google the biggest employer by state, you'd find in California where i live, it's the UC system. in nearly every RED state, it's Walmart. probably both coincidences, right? Walmart employees are so underpaid (and undervalued) they qualify for state and federal financial aid. Our tax dollars subsidize the company thru programs like Welfare. small wonder people working there look like they're on suicide watch. this morning, after shopping at my usual "hippie" stores (Sprouts, Trader Joes, and a Farmer's market), i stopped by WALMART to pick up a couple of things for my quarantine pantry. it was another creepy experience. a WALMART visit requires that i take a long, hot shower as soon as i get home. ps: my personal exception's the gardening department. with their own entrance, exit, and registers, a handy place to grab-and-go stuff for the garden. read more

Used to love this Walmart. For the past 6 years, family and I stay at a resort in Carlsbad and we would love to come to this Walmart and stock up. Even during COVID we would stock up on items for vacation. This year we had multiple horrible experiences. 1 st day of arriving we arrived to this Walmart and shelves were emptied and we waited more than 15 minutes by the alcohol aisle. (Never got anything , after all) Since you have to push a button to get help. 2nd trip to this Walmart, lines were long with two lanes open and the self check out line was going through produce area. 3rd trip yesterday 09/11. We tried again, the alcohol aisle and pushed the button. Nothing!!! Please know, they say they have other options near #8 cashier. They didn't have what we wanted. So again we waited and we even tried calling the Walmart and pressed 0 for a representative.... Rang and rang and rang. This time around I actually decided to start a timer to see how long it would take. Even after 25 mins.... Nothing. Father in law also dealt with a rude Walmart worker on her cell phone near the deodorant aisle. We will no longer come back here. We completely understand if you have a shortage of employees. But when you see multiple workers walking by and in groups or on there phones. It's ridiculous. read more

This is a newer Walmart, located off College Blvd south of CA78. The store is large with good size aisles and well-stocked shelves. Solar panels in the parking lot provide shade for cars. The Garden Center is better than at most Walmarts, but it's still mostly void of plants. We were looking for cocoa shell liners for planters, and they didn't have any. The checkout lines with cashiers were long and slow. Self Checkout moved very quickly. read more
