Typical Ralphs. Bakery, meat and seafood, pharmacy, produce, deli. They also have Sushi, though I'd avoid the salmon which I've had on occasion be not so fresh. The bakery is well stocked with cakes, less pies and not so many bread rolls and cookies as other groceries. They do a good job of custom order though, fast, accurate, well priced. Self check out on both sides, though only 1 is open usually. Staff are generally nice and friendly. Prices aren't the best, but you gotta work for their deals sometimes. I like their deli selection as it's a higher quality than Albertsons, but I like Albertsons deli items (hot and cold) more. Ralphs has better cheeses. Seafood is standard quality, though more limited. Same with their butcher offerings. I often have to custom order oxtails, picana cuts as they don't stock as much as you'd expect. Large ice cream and chips selection, small pickle selection. Some items are sort of illogically placed. During busy times they tend to run out of key ingredients (thyme and rosemary for thanksgiving). They tend to pull things at night on the early side. Their egg selection is limited, but their hotdog selection is larger than most. Idk who at Kroger does their buying, but they could certainly use a push more towards Pavillions than the standard run of the mill Ralphs. read more

Recently purchased half a chicken for $5 which should be been a bargain when chicken today sales for $2.89/ lb and up. I purchased multiple chicken packages to service family visiting. The overcooked chicken was not edible. So very disappointing when I have made many purchases in the past. Maybe because it was the weekend. Where was the quality assurance? I am not going to mention the employee's name. They really need to step up their customer service care. I've never had the most disgusting unprofessional experience at a corporation like this by a worker named Andrew I don't know if he's a supervisor or manager but he tried to kick me and my husband out with a couple of kids and a family he put his hands on my husband and pushed him out aswell as the family and kids we will not be returning due to Andrew's misconduct behavior I've never seen such unprofessional work, with other workers thinking this is ok by pulling out phones and recording not helping us de-escalate the situation im dissatisfied with the headquarters and not being able to respond quick to the situation, thinking this type of behavior is not OK especially in a family store I would like to see change his behavior and the workers around him!!!! read more

The deli dept used to have an area with precut Boar's Head items . They still have the area but it is rarely stocked which adds time to every visit. It's understandable for it to occur occasionally , but it happens more and more frequently. Also, searching for Fairlife milk and sandwich thins proved fruitless. It seems more and more items are out of stock lately which requires a visit to a second grocery. read more

What happened to this store! Flowers are awful now , out of veggies, they don't carry items they have had for years . No plastic bags so now you basically have to use the paper and bag everything yourself like Aldi. The old manager ran a better store. She was overseeing the self checkout area on Saturday 1/24/26 and she was SO rude and a total scatter brain. Standing over my shoulder as I'm paying at self check out even though I didn't ask for help, no greeting or hello's. Then she starts bagging my food and said "I'm gonna bag these for you" again didnt ask for it, so I stand there and wait for her to bag then she placed ONE thing in a bag and left to chat with a coworker, like what?! I like Ralphs and have shopped at this location since moving to Oceanside in 2022 even though other grocery stores are much closer to me. However, I'll be shopping elsewhere from now on. After selecting $190 worth of items, I had to check out & bag everything myself while one employee "supervises the self checkout" doing very little and one employee (a very unfriendly one known from past experience) is the only cashier with a large line. I'm tired. I worked my whole life. I don't need to be an unpaid "employee" so Ralph's can maximize their profits at the expense of their customers. Sadly this scenario has become the norm at this store. It's ironic to be greeted by the self checkout machine "Welcome valued customer!" What a joke! If you valued your customers, you'd be providing cashiers and baggers for us. I'm fairly capable. This is much worse for others like seniors and those with disabilities. This was my husband's and I first time at this store. I thought the store was really beautiful, so spacious and clean looking. We picked up a few items for our pets and then headed up to the front to be checked out. The person who rang us up was named Lucy Lue. She gave us no eye contact or greeting. I also noticed she didn't look at or greet the couple before us in line. A simple hi or hello is always nice to hear. I would have said hi or hello to her but she never looked up at us at all . Anyway nice store and when we come again I hope whatever person we get to check us out is a lot friendlier than Lucy Lue. read more

I love shopping at my local Ralph's Supermarket Store. This Oceanside store has a great variety of different types of food items and they're Sales are running every week so I always save a lot of money and when I use my Ralph's Value Card and also when I download their Ralph's App and use their Digital Coupons that has given me a lot of benefits with significant discounts on everything in their store. Also there employees like Daisy who works in Advertising their products in their store, she is a wonderful and a very caring person. Daisy talked to me Last Wednesday on September 13, 2023, Daisy said she cares very much about the Homeless People who are hanging out in front of their store. Daisy talked to me and she told me when Ralph's Supermarket has to mark down specific products that are reduced in prices to 25 cents for each item, Daisy said she buys these things with her own money and then she donates these food items to the homeless people who are hanging out in front of their store on a regular basis. But Daisy told me also her store manager told her she needs to stop being a caring person to these homeless people because these homeless people continue to stand in front of their Ralph's Supermarket because Daisy keeps giving them FREE Food. Their store manager wants to keep their paying customers safe and to not to be bothered by these homeless people asking us customers for our money on a frequent basis. I understand the situation because it has happened to me very often, whenever I use to do my grocery shopping on a more frequent basis. I just don't have extra money to give out to these homeless people because I am on a really tight budget. Now I don't see any Homeless People standing in front of this Ralph's Supermarket anymore. It's a more safer place for me and the rest of their customers to feel comfortable Grocery shopping at this Ralph's Supermarket. It's better for everyone. I am also a very caring person but I also have to stop myself from these Homeless People asking me to give them my money. These people do have good resources in going to a FREE Homeless Shelter and also there is a FREE Soup Kitchen that is operated by volunteers in Oceanside, CA where FREE Meals are served to these Homeless People from the Salvation Army and other charities. The cost of living here in Oceanside, CA and every city has really gone up and everything has increased in prices like gasoline, food, water, electricity, apartment rents, housing, mortgages, eating out at restaurants is very expensive plus these Food Delivery companies . read more

We have shopped here for over 10 and have loved the fact that it feels like a neighborhood store. However this last year I have seen more turn over and managers just standing around talking. If you're using the DMV kiosk inside, the tap function for cards doesn't work. For the credit card, it was charging then cancelling the fee. That was kind of frustrating. I wish the management put up a sign unless they're going to fix it. Even with the fee, it's quick and painless. ALSO, you don't need your renewal notice nor your current registration. As long as you pretend to have the card, it just asked for my license plate and last 5 of the VIN. I don't know why last time, I literally drove home, thinking I needed to scan the code because this time, I'm pretty sure I threw away the darn thing. Luckily, they have the Starbucks cold brew dark chocolate with oatmilk. So far, I've only seen the vanilla with oatmilk at the Walmart Neighborhood Market on Mission in Oceanside. I still prefer Califia Farms over Starbucks, but I don't think they carry the coffee versions at this location. Another positive is that they carry Mush in various flavors because sometimes, I can't find it at Sprout's. And thanks to the employee who wasn't sure what was up with the kiosk but was willing to grab another employee. read more

In an area where butcher stores are non-existent, one would think a well-run grocery store would make sure their meat department carried fresh meats in different cuts with ample availability. Instead, Kroger is reducing the quantity and quality of products in their meat department. I had the opportunity to visit Ralphs Pharmacy today at 1:27 PM. They were closed for lunch for three more minutes, and the gate was not locked. I entered the gate because I saw someone enter it from a distance and observed them working at computers, so I went in to deliver a prescription for renewal and agreed to return about an hour later to pick up the filled prescription. Instead of being greeted with kindness, humility, and helpfulness, I was greeted with rudeness, belligerence, and a condescending lecture about why I should not have come through the gate to drop off the prescription. The conversation turned into a lecture, and I was interrupted when I attempted to speak. The lady with a name embroidered on her gown appeared to be named Dr. Alta A, but I am not certain of that because I have low vision. I returned at 2:20 p.m. to pick up my prescription and was greeted by this lady. After completing my transaction, I attempted to share a suggestion with her about how much more effective her response might have been. Once again, I was interrupted and given essentially the same lecture about their lunch hour, that it is their right to have a lunch hour in a belligerent fashion. I then stated when she stopped, I would write it as a review since I was not allowed to complete my comment to her. I then departed without further comment. The only thing I can promise here is that I will never darken their doorway again, for anything. read more

I've shopped at Ralphs for many years but that may stop after shopping at this store. The store is way too small for all of the displays they have. The isles are too narrow for 2 carts to pass. There is always someone in front or in back of you waiting to get through. It makes for a very unpleasant shopping experience. Senior citizens should not shop at this store. read more

I like this store and shop here frequently. Overall the store is very nice. The company gets 4 stars because trying to contact Ralph's is invasive. They want name email address and more information than I wish to provide. Here's an issue that Ralph's needs to addresss, I noticed this a few weeks back. And haven't had time to jump through the hoops. I was at self checkout, which is usually covered by 1 worker that is either distracted by other customers or chatting with employees. One person"customer" was watching for the distraction. His cart was full of expensive meat and a package of cheap meat. He'd place the expensive meat over the cheap package of similar weight.. scan the cheap stuff then put the expensive package on the scale. When I went to the parking lot he was laughing with a friend that then went into the store, probably to do the same scam. These union workers usually strike for higher grocery wages, but are they really doing the work and AI robot couldn't do better? This is for their job security. They need to be more accurate and watch for obvious slide of hand. read more

The prices here are sky-high for what the items are. Even items on sale were "normal" priced. Better off driving to Grocery Outlet. This location does not carry contact lens solution like other Ralph's, but they have every other kind of toiletry imaginable. When checking out, I told the cashier I did not want a bag and was only buying 3 items. A bag was quickly provided by the bagger and the 10 cent fee was added before I could do anything. Parking lot was filled with glass and I saw a homeless woman entering the store. Definitely avoid this location. read more

Saw an end display that normally represents special offers of discounts . The sign said 12 pack would be discounted from $5.99 to $2.99 if you bought qty 5. Which I did. The total seemed high, so when I got home I reviewed the receipt and found I only got $1 off each not the $3 advertised. I went back to the store to make sure I read the sign correctly. I didn't . It was for the one small row of favored water NOT the coke pop products that surrounded the sign . Therefore , I found this sign misleading with false intent. For the busy shopper that doesn't read the fine print because they assume Ralph's could not purposely mislead their loyal customers . I leave you the actual photo of the end display . You can form your own conclusion, but mine is that Ralph's owes me an apology for misleading me and wasting my time . I'll never trust Ralph's again . Shame on Ralph's . :-( read more

Not sure what the bad reviews were for. Store was clean and inviting. We stopped by for some much needed groceries and found everything we were looking for and more. Lol. The deli was clean and the staff was awesome. Waited about 10 minutes for a rotisserie chicken to come out of the oven. Staff made sure we got one of the first ones out. I have been visiting this store for a short time yesterday I went to get a couple of items and requested $20 in cash from the machine while checking out they charge .50 what a drag if your purchasing something! But I leave and didn't take my cash! I went back today and the same employee was working that area again, when I ask Ed "Michelle " if by chance any $ was found left in the Machine and she promptly said yes I have it for you! This is probably the nicest Ralph's I've been in. I don't usually shop big commercial grocery stores but I was looking for specific vegan ice cream products (GoodPop, Halo Top) and found them here. They have a descent selection of non-dairy ice cream and they have started to label healthier options in their freezer section. I appreciate grocery stores that carry vegan food products. I hope this Ralph's continues to do so! read more
