My husband calls this Walmart "the touristy Walmart." There's a ton of Disney merch that is cheaper to buy here than at the parks so many tourists will frequent this location. I would just go in the morning or daytime. We went in the morning and first went to make a return. For one of my item's that I had an return barcode for as I got it from Walmart.com, it would not scan not sure if it was the associate's scanner but her response was "Try another Walmart" instead of calling a manager or entering the order ID associated with it. I asked her if she could even do a store credit and she had a blank impression of "no." My husband and I decided to give up and proceeded to shop around. Huge frozen section and variety of the "caulipower" brand items but they don't sell impossible meat. Good selection of Gardein products though. When we got to the register to pay for our items, I noticed the lady that was unhelpful during my return at customer service went on a break. This was my golden opportunity and I proceeded to the customer service counter with my return barcode. The lady that helped me this time around scanned my barcode and it worked. It turns out I didn't need to try another Walmart for a return, just needed to try a competent employee. I would not come out of my way to this particular location. read more

So I literally skip 3 Walmarts to come to this one, it's the staff and the cleanliness of this store. I recently moved to Florida and since I've been coming to this location, it's always stocked in the mornings and afternoons by the evening it's usually bare but if u come back the next morning they are restocked like the shelves were never emptied. This is a store where tourists come a lot so depending on what the time of day the lines can be long but the girls at self checkout usually help your process along so you can still get out quickly. Fun fact if you have the Walmart app use the scan and go feature. So I'm saving the best for last. Ms. Betty typically works as a greeter on the home and pharmacy side she is the primary reason for this 5star rating. Number one she is Kind asf and she knows the store anything i ever needed she directed me to. When she is there I smile because even with her mask on you know she's smiling with u. This Walmart is soooooooooooo filthy and gross. The workers seemed exhausted, the floors were dirty, there was hardly anything on the shelves, I felt like I was in a circus show or something as I was trying to go through people to get down another aisle. I tried not to make eye contact because I didn't want any drama with other people shopping because everyone seemed to be like zombies. It was a strange experience. Near Universal Studios, this is one big Walmart. Here you find a supermarket, with a bakery, deli, meat, seafood, and produce section. Besides a supermarket, it also has the regular part of Walmart. You can find what you need when you are on vacation in this area, and it is also convenient for the locals who live nearby. read more

This Walmart looks nicer and more well kept than most Walmarts I've been to before. The whole place looks very clean, better organized and it doesn't have the usual "ghetto feel". The parking lot is well lit and seems pretty safe. There is free wifi available. And it is a Walmart, so you can find pretty much anything and not spend a whole lotta cash. But, and I cannot stress this enough, this particular location is always packed with crazy tourists, whom, I can only assume, have never been to a supermarket before. These people have no regard for others, their kids will be running around throwing merchandising on the floor, but they don't seem to care, they will block an entire aisle with their carts while calmly analyzing every product on the shelf... I don't think I would shop here if I lived in Orlando, but if you are a tourist staying in the area (I believe this is the closest one to I-Drive), and have tons of patience, maybe its worth a shot. read more

The employees are extremely rude at this store. I shop here regularly because it's close to home and they typically have a fully stocked inventory of all basic necessities but if it weren't for that I wouldn't. Other than two of the greeters and the gentlemen who collect the carts they have the worst employees. The employees leave their carts in the middle of the aisles even if there isn't room to get by with a cart, if you can't find something that it says they have in stock online they tell you they don't have it rather than helping, they stand around and socialize with each other and when customers say excuse me stand there and stare instead of moving so customers can get by, they're just all the way around rude people. read more

I don't even think they asked the department anything. Pretty sure they just left me on hold. 0 customer service. Slow wait times for curbside pick up. Came in at 5:30pm on a Tuesday. Been waiting over 20 minutes for just 1 small item. After waiting 20 minutes, I called asking if I can just go inside to pick up my item myself, the guy said NO very rudely and said we have to come to you to put in the computer... okaaay? We brought 2 cars in for oil changes. We were told two hours wait time. After two hours, I noticed cars were being taken in for service that had arrived after we did. When I inquired about this, I was told I had only processed one car for service. When I produced two WalMart issued service tags, then we were told there was a computer "glitch", and would have to re-enter my info. Meanwhile, they took two cars back to begin service ahead of me. How hard is that? If you can't keep track of who is next, then go back to the "take a ticket" procedure. No one has 3 hours to wait for a simple oil change. *This review may be totally biased considering I am from North Carolina* This is the worst Walmart I've ever been to. My family and I went on a Monday night at like 11pm. It was crowded but I'm used to Walmart crowds so that wasn't a big deal. However, this was when I realized that people in Florida are the rudest people I've ever met. Sorry but it's true. I'm from NC where southern hospitality is real. I spent a week and half in FL and nobody was kind, nobody said a small "excuse me", and just always bumping into us and not moving politely around. But back to the Walmart. It was a complete mess, could not find anything in its correct place, and the employees were rude and didn't pay us any attention at check out. The bathrooms were also gross, only one of the many stalls were actually clean. Also, we saw as we pulled up there was a fire truck but people were still entering the store. But while we were inside the fire alarms kept blaring on and off constantly, for what seemed like no reason because the trucks and everything were gone and there was no emergency (I think). So, for a visitor from out of state, this is probably not the best place to go or experience to have. read more

For years I have been making my trek to this Walmart the minute I drop my bags at the resort. Everyone on the trip helps decide the meals and what to buy. It's usually a great experience. One overzealous employee tried to upset my mojo ... but on vaca ... she rattled my feathers for all of five minutes. A manager came to my aide and made the unpleasant five minutes go away. Certainly, not because the international tourist large crowds that block the aisles and act stupidly when looking at the mist on the vegetables when you are just trying to grab a tomato, but because it is the safest and cleanest branch. (SandLake is #1 and Kirkman #2 with more risk at loosing your purse I believe). Also, this location is the only one that I can find bottled water on stock at anytime. They also make deliciousTsao General Chicken and Orange Chicken for $3.99 a plate with 2 sides ( The Kirkman location sucks at cooking). This is the worst Walmart to shop at. It is crowded with tourists at all times of the day!! It does get a little bit easier to shop at night, but still crowded. Be prepared to wait an extremely long time to check out. They close all but two registers and as the night goes on they force you to go to the self-check out. I suggest you hire more people for your register. We have elderly people and people from other countries who don't necessarily speak English or Spanish. Not everyone is able to use the self check out quickly and efficiently. Please be more mindful. If I already know this is a high volume store, its managers should know it is as well and should learn how to manage it properly so its customers have a semi decent shopping experience. Oh and be very careful getting through the parking lot. It's always filled with angry drivers who do not care about you walking across the crosswalk. We all love Walmart for its low prices. However, when it comes to attempting to shop here, I'd much rather spend a few more dollars elsewhere for the same product just to avoid coming here. read more

Here's a tip, Wal-Mart: if you're going to have a stupid alcohol policy, at least be consistent with it. My partner and I were there on vacation last month and purchased alcohol at the self-checkout. First trip: The team member on duty says, "Ah, you both look old enough," and doesn't bother to ask for our IDs. Second Trip: The team member on duty asks only for my ID, since I was the one making the purchase. Third Trip: The team member asks for both our IDs. Only, my partner doesn't have hers. The team member says that I can't purchase the alcohol. I say that's ridiculous and she offers to call a manager. After waiting a good ten minutes, a manager comes and reiterates what the team member said. In addition to being annoyed about the inconsistency, I was also unimpressed with the lack of friendliness by both the team member and the manager. As a result, we went to the Whole Foods Market down the street. Sure, it was more expensive, but I'd rather give my money to a company that is consistent and has great customer service. Terrible customer service. I have been by three times this week after work to try and return something, and theyre closed before 8pm. The website says customer service is open 8am-8pm, I get out of work at 7 and work 12 Hr days. I've been at customer service at 745pm and they're closed. One manager said it's because they're short staffed, okay fine, then change ur hours on your website please and why can't a manager return something for me? If you are looking for affordable Disney merchandise, the Turkey Lake Road Walmart Supercenter is where you need to be! Disney is absolutely everywhere!! This location is close enough to many tourists hotels (sea world/universal) for a quick and convenient drive but far enough away that you feel you've officially left all the touristy craziness. Great for picking up snacks, drinks, ready-made meals, toys, board games, etc for the hotel room, and like I said...tons of souvenirs. Plentiful parking and a clean, well-organized store are definite positives but on my particular visit (a monday morning around 10am) many aisles were clogged with re-stocking duties which made movement for the customers troublesome (it also made for a well-stocked store so there is a good side to this). The only true negative during my experience was that there was only one register open. ONE! In a supercenter ... and they were training a new hire on that ONE register. Apparently the poor guy made a mistake on the woman's order in front of me which required approximately 15 minutes of backtracking/voiding/re-ringing/phone calls and then finally the person who was charged with training the new-hire (not doing a very efficient job of it unfortunately) decides it's time to ask a supervisor for help. However, the extensive line of customers behind me offered this suggestion to the pair repeatedly to no avail. Frustrating but as it goes with retail, this was likely a fluke experience. I get it Covid.... but everything else is functionally normally. I mean honestly all Walmarts are self check out. They barely run with staff during operating hours so what's the difference with late night hours?! They would have the same employees at night that they have in the day. There is nothing great to expect when it comes to walmart. A few years ago, I liked coming to this Walmart bc it was nice, new, clean, etc. Now that I literally live like 5 minutes away, I hate that it's my closest walmart. First off, I think the employees are pretty unprofessional. I've seen them eating, on their phones, talking to each other and not giving guest attention when it's needed. The lines are ridiculously long. Every time I go, majority of the things I want or need are out of stock. The self check out machines are extremely slow and never want to ring in items. I just dread coming here. I actually purposely try to come only after 12am. when I come around 2 or 3 in the morning, it isn't so bad as far as people being everywhere and lines. read more
