This wal mart sucks! Waited in line for over 15 minutes at a self service checkout. The lines are always way too long and there are never enough cashiers to take care of the volume of people. At the check out after ringing everything up and being shoved along by a worker to go to the register we learned it was cash only. We had to get money out of the atm to pay, just another way for them to get every penny out of you. It's a Friday night and they are understaffed and everything is hard to maneuver because it's also delivery night. I can't believe I am writing a review about Walmart. ANYWAYS, I've been to a few million (JK) Walmart stores in my life and have always preferred Target. However, I've grown quite fond of this location and it isn't just because it's next to a GameStop and ice cream place. Here's what I love about this location: 1) The customer service is actually wonderful. When you think Walmart, you don't think 5 star customer service, but the employee have always been so helpful 2) The bathrooms are clean! I'd rather bite into my own neck than use most public bathrooms but on a few occasions, when I've felt like spontaneously combusting, I've gone to the bathroom here and wasn't mortified. 3) The produce section is neat. I'd still never buy produce from Walmart but at least it is kept tidy! read more

As Wal-Marts go this is an exceptionally nice one. The parking lot is massive but has these decorative features like black aluminum fences around the cart corals. Inside the store is spacious and clean- yes, a Wal-Mart that is clean! It is one of those energy efficient ones with lots of natural lighting and motion sensing lights that turn on when you walk by. The customer service is average for Wal-Mart, which means the employees don't get paid enough to care. But, prices are cheap and if you have to go to a Wal-Mart this one is a good bet. read more

I went to Walmart to get some food and earrings for my 20 month old daughter and had to wait 15 minutes for a cashier to ring up my order even though there were about 6 employees standing around talking to each other. The next time I went at 10 pm and was looking to purchase a cart load of items, but there were no cashiers working. I went through the self help line and struggled to find the produce items in the computer and took me a lot longer than I would like. As far a Wally Worlds go this one has some great features. First off, I can't thing of a bigger one in the area. I like the fact that the entire grocery area has the motion activated lights. Please don't allow this to put me in the ranks of hippies but every little bit helps right? The products part of the store has just about everything you could want and many more things that you didn't know you wanted till you saw it. They also have an outdoor living section which is a good deal larger then the other ones I have seen at other Super shops. There isn't much out there but it is big. The one down side to this location is that I have yet to have anything remotely resembling a speedy checkout. The last three times either my purchase or someone right in front of me has required a lead to assist because the cashier has not been able to figure out something. Today it was how to use a gift certificate which I would think is a common event but I could be wrong. Work on a slightly better trained checkout staff and you might find yourself on the receiving end of a fifth star! read more

If you want the worst possible experience at Walmart go to this one! After calling corporate of course they called me and apologized. 1800 Walmart was very nice and helpful but the 3 employees and 1 MANAGER (who I'm pretty sure wasn't even a manager because she was in uniform rather than business attire) who I asked for help didn't want to help me and claimed they are the only Walmart in the world that can't scan to see if something is in stock or if when it's coming in. I literally asked "so you're the only Walmart in the world that can't check?" And she said YES.....what the actual shit?? Then they gave me the coronavirus as an excuse....umm if the 2 Walmart's I shop at can tell me when Lysol will be in then how the heck can't they tell me about condoms? Like that's not even related to the virus...then when I was called by a manager(after my 1800 Walmart complaint) he said they don't have scanners...umm one of them had a scanner and was about to check until the other lady I asked came up and said nope if it's not there we can't check (mind you they were talking to each other in Spanish the whole time while I'm asking for help) then when I spoke to the manager some associate interrupted us and didn't even say excuse me or I'm sorry....they just started talking over me....glad I don't live in this town, I will make a point to go anywhere except Walmart the next time I'm in Orlando. This Walmart, has finally done something that i thought was impossible. It has changed my attitude 100% towards Walmarts period. We went there at 11:30 PM on the Thanksgiving night to pick up some DVDs. They had what looked like 100 employees working, most of which were just standing around talking to each other all around the store. There weren't many customers in there. They only had three cash registers open. We were were forth in line to cash out and it took us almost an hour to get through the line. They turned off all of the self service as well. They had all those employees there, and it almost appeared as though they had all punched out. They just stood around talking to each other, no direction offered by management. You start to wonder if the managers were ever trained in the first place. They only had three registers open, ours had a hispanic woman, she couldn't sign into the register to operate it. This employee could barely speak english. The supervisor stood there asking the employee if she clocked in before starting her shift? The employee was totally clueless and confused. The stupid manger had 3 registers open and had an untrained employee running at least one of them . They had over one hundred employees working and they choose not to have veteran employees running their only checkouts. At all Walmart's they appear to just want a warm body working. They don't care if they are capable employees or not. Speaking and understanding english is also optional. Truth be told, they appear to go out of their way to hire minorities, just look around. If you speak Spanish that will get you a job here even if you can't speak English. They will not hire people that have any ambition, or show any common sense at all. We think they hire their employees through a workforce program that pays them $12 an hour for 6 months. Walmart then gets rid of them when the government money is used up. This government program does not require the businesses to pay them a dime, the tax payer pays the employee. The government considers it training for the unemployed. We were told by employees you don't want to work here you get fired after six months. We went to Target at around 1:30 AM an hour later. they had 25 registers open. No joke 25 registers open no problem getting through the lines there. People spoke English and asked if you needed help. The store also didn't look like hell and a mess like Walmart did. Walmart managers have no idea how to run a store, its not just this store. We went to Naples and they have a majority of Mexicans working there. We had to find an english speaking person twice, the workers didn't understand English. This has totally changed our attitude and we will not be shopping at any Walmart store in the future. read more

This walmart has become one of my favorite walmarts. It has everything. I can go grocery shopping or buy clothes, electronics, what ever it is you name it they have it. I was here twice during this trip. The first time I was here was to exchange a wristwatch I bought at a Walmart in Sanford. The date function wasn't working so I wanted to exchange it. I went to the customer service department up front to let them know I wanted to do an exchange. i was told to just go to the jewelry section and someone there would take care of it. I let the person at the jewelry counter know that I bought a watch in a Walmart in Sanford but the date function wasn't working. She took a look at it and it clearly wasn't working. They had another one at the store there that was the same model but sadly the same problem existed. I looked around for another Timex watch that as analog with and found one with the date function working. I chose that one and the cashier proceeded with the exchange. It took about 5 minutes for the computer to approve the exchange so I could nothing but stand there and wait. The second time I came here, I was looking for souvenirs to take back to New York. I unfortunately found only one thing I wanted. I was looking for things that said Florida or Orlando. I could find no shot glasses, magnets, or key chains. I found one tee shirt that had a logo for the Orlando Magic. There was plenty of available cashiers so there was no waiting. read more

I came in to buy some Mulch from the garden department and the cashier would not tell me a price of the mulch and said they did not schedule someone to work out there until later. I had to drive back load my car with mulch and come in to store to tell her how much I got and the price, she seemed helpless and was just giving me attitude. When I finished paying she did not say thank you or anything and just handed me my receipt. She needs some training on customer service and how to assist customers. read more

I had to post a review of this place. Can you say huge? This is the biggest store I have every seen. I mean you could fit 3 regular Walmarts inside it. I have seen smaller college football stadiums. It is very clean and the staff is friendly. The only complaint would be the layout. I'm sure someone in an office somewhere thought it would work, but it seems scattered. Groceries are on one side of the store and the other is kind of an explosion with 3 aisles of similar items, and then a bunch of products that you would never think to look in that section for. When this Walmart first opened it was pretty decent. Now it's getting to be just as trashy on the outside and in. I like to do some shopping there once in a while, but it's always a mad house. I did find that if you come in and exit through the garden center, it's a much nicer experience. Yes it's the big bad Walmart. However for being the commercial giant that it is, this one doesn't completely suck. The self check out lines are the way to go for me and the attendant is usually pretty quick about clearing up any problems. I do try to avoid this place as a whole when I know it's going to be rush hour. Even so, when I do have to come during a busy time there's always plenty of lines open. I personally do not go to Walmart for a lot of things. But when I do, this is the only Walmart I will ever go to. It is twenty minutes out if the way but the staff is always friendly. Their products are always stocked up and never missing and no empty shelf's. Also it is not crowded like any other stores in Orlando. I'm not sure if people know this is a super Walmart. We've shopped here a few times; and, it's been hits and misses. This morning, I just needed a few items; and, popped in after filling up with gas (no receipt paper, although no mention of it as with last time, when it asked, "machine out of paper, proceed?") So, I grabbed the flavored waters we like, then tried to get turkey dogs and turkey bacon for our elderly pet dog. No dice! They didn't have the Jennie-O she likes; and, only one bacon, no dogs... sigh. Next time, maybe I'll try to order ahead; and, then they can just bring it out to the car. Garbage staff. I had ordered shoes that had gotten transferred to that store and sent my mother to pick them up for me as I was working. I added her as an alternative pick-up and figured that was that. Unfortunately their systems are from the 90's or something as they couldn't see it and were very rude to her. The workers there, including the assistant manager, would not reason with her and at one point wouldn't even talk to me as I was on the phone trying to explain to them how I listed her as someone who might pick them up and had information to verify that I am me but they refused to help her out. They were insanely rude and even threatened to call the cops on her. Fortunately, this Walmart had someone with sense in their head and let her pick up the shoes after she explained the situation but if this is how Walmart lets their employees treat their customers then I want no business with them. Maybe it's just the night staff that treat their customers like garbage, but that doesn't excuse it. Horrible customer service and I will definitely be calling someone higher up if I can to report this kind of behavior! read more

As far as Wal-Marts go, this one is the best I have EVER seen. It's so clean and spacious. I actually enjoyed my little shopping adventure. My favorite part about the whole thing, was when I went to checkout they had 17 counters open! (Yes I counted, my pet peeve is how Wal-Mart has 30+ checkout lines and never uses ANY of them) I literally walked in, did my shopping and walked out. It was AWESOME!! I have visited this place on three seperate occasion and have caught a cold everytime immediatly after. DO NOT GO HERE without preparing with some sort of vitamin C, hand sanitizer and do not stay to long. Also remember to take a shower after your visit. read more

Do NOT buy live fish from this establishment!! Over the past 2 years that I've been closely watching their live fish department I've noticed that they allow dead fish to pile up, they don't feed the plecostamus fish (algae eater fish) properly, and they've even allowed the tanks to become blurry and full of algae to the point you couldn't see in to the fish. The number of times I've complained about the poor care of LIVE ANIMALS have all been met with the same response - "Oh, we'll look into it". Yet, nothing changes!! This increases chances of disease in the fish, which, when they come to live in your tank at home, can sicken other fish. You'll be playing the return game forever. Recently I took more photos, specifically of the piles of dead fish and of the plecos. One pleco that was facing out on the glass was clearly starving; the bony outline of his underbelly was showing and you can see that the stomach area was sunken in. I have worked in a retail fish store before, I also have owned many plecos in my lifetime (still do), and I know that the condition of this animal was nothing short of abuse/neglect and ignorance!! When I brought it up to an associate he told me "I thought they ate germs." Germs?? Really? A fish that is known to eat ALGAE does not subsist on GERMS. Either way, the associate did nothing to try to remedy the problem, nor did any manager at ANY time I've EVER brought up these issues. There has also been NO pleco food in their storage area for the fish, either. I went back two days later...same conditions. Not feeding the plecos, but they were finally pulling out the piles of dead fish (still leaving a few for decoration, I guess). I have yet to hear from a manager after I posted a complaint on the local "feedback" site. It's hard to run from the truth when someone has photos, Walmart. Just get out of the fish biz...you're clearly doing it wrong. read more
