I have done several Walmart pickups and this Walmart is probably one of the best ones. We're usually awaiting about 5 to 10 minutes depending on how busy it is. This one has ample parking and the associates are friendly. The only knock I have is sometimes the product I am looking for is not available and it tends to happen on one or two items a week. I do love that you can use the app to check in when you get here and now they have a QR code that you can use so someone else does not take your items. One of the difficult parts about this particular Walmart pick up is there are a lot of people driving really quickly in the back parking lot to get back there so you have to be very careful. read more

My cake story I wanted a heart-shaped vintage cake, so I searched on Facebook and Instagram for someone who could make it. I received many recommendations, both from established bakeries and small businesses. I contacted a few places, and the cheapest quote I received was from a lady who works from home. She charged $50 for an 8-10 inch cake but did not offer delivery or a box to carry it in. Other places charged $100 or more, which I found unreasonable. One day, while grocery shopping, I stumbled upon a heart-shaped foam cake at the Walmart bakery display. I asked the guy how much it would cost, and the lady from the Deli overheard the conversation and she said they did not do heart-shaped cakes. I thought that the display was misleading and picked a design from their book with a similar decoration style I was looking for, then the guy from the bakery department quoted the cake to be less than $30. I was surprised but decided to place an order. A week later, I returned to take a picture of their cake book, and to talk to the decorators just in case because I honestly couldn't believe the price. Then I met the two cake artists/decorators. I showed them a picture of the cake I wanted, and they said they could make it exactly like the picture for the same price. I was thrilled! On the day of pick-up, I was nervous, but everything turned out perfectly. The cake was exactly like the picture I showed them, and the packaging was sturdy. The entire cake cost about $35, including taxes. I was very happy with the price, customer service, packaging, and the cake itself. I wish the cake artist/decorator would receive an award for employee of the month, as she truly cares about her customers and provides happiness with her beautiful talent for cake designs. When you tell the cashier about it, they get mad and say they can't change the price even though they are showing the lower price on the shelf. Don't bother trying to get a hold of anyone on the phones. Called 4 times. All calls disconnected after 3 minutes except for one that was truly unprofessional. A young girl picked up the phone, oblivious to the fact that it was ringing and began to dial for an outgoing call. All this while yelling at one of her coworkers saying, "that's so f***ing ghetto!" All this to exchange a screen protector that they can't do because they didn't have anyone manning the customer service desk until 8am. No one else is trained to handle returns? Yes I know this is Walmart. We all know they have great prices on your everyday needs. But this location stands out. I don't live in Arizona, but this location far surpasses the one near me. Here's why: 1. The employees are actually nice. Shocking, but true. Every single one I've encountered says hello and smiles. 2. This location is super neat and organized. Especially in the baby clothing department. They have way more inventory and it's actually shoppable. 3. Certain items are actually cheaper here than back in Vegas. A gallon of milk here will run $1.99, while back in Vegas it's $2.69. 4. Parking doesn't suck. And the parking lot isn't littered with trash. 5. I actually feel safe coming to this location at night. WOW!!! WOW!!! WOWEEEEEEEE!!!!!!! Mathew, Bryan and Dwayne are ALL amazing souls that work in the pharmacy!!!! A prescription was called in for my kid to Walgreens. Walgreens called me to tell me that it needed preapproval and it would be $304 without insurance. I am seriously desperate to get it filled BUT $300 is a LOT of money versus waiting for my insurance. I asked Walgreens if they could quote me the GOODRX price and they "are not allowed" but CVS has done so. I looked on the GOODRX site and WALMART charges ONLY $10.00 for the 90 pills!!!!!!!! BLESS YOU Walmart!!!! NO GOODRX required!! It is their EVERYDAY price!!!!!! Not only did they deliver on PRICE, they DELIVERED IN A SPEEDY FASHION!!!! I called several Walmarts in the area looking for a certain product (a grill), and this one had by far the worst service. The person who initially answered the phone call was nice and seemed to swiftly transfer me over to the department that was needed, but once transferred, the department took 6 minutes to answer the phone. When they answered the phone they hung the phone up... I called back and it took them quite a while to answer, after which they again transferred me to the appropriate department (garden/outside). This time it took a couple minutes for a younger sounding male to answer the phone and he immediately said they did not have the product. All other Walmarts placed me on hold to look for the product, and the Walmart website had them listed as having seven. At this point I couldn't tell if he actually cared or whether he was just saying that to get me off the phone. Needless to say after wasting 15 to 20 minutes with these people I feel like I am more confused and have not gained any useful information. Good luck to the rest of you! read more

Today, I remembered why I stopped shopping this store. They had one cashier. I know they push self checkout, but I won't do it. If we do, someone could lose employment or hours could be cut. Now, back to today, a lady had a cart full of small items causing me and the gentleman ahead of me to be in line for approximately 15 minutes plus. Employees walked around seeing the delay, but didn't open a register. Three ladies got in line behind me. In less than a minute, two cashiers came down and got the ladies. They left before the lady in front of me completed her purchase. I had one item for my grandson and unfortunately Target was the only one that had it. Never going to Target again. I bought a ROKU Streaming stick for the sale price of $29.99 which had a bad controller. It took me a couple of weeks to install it because I was sick. They only offered a refund only no exchange. I had to pay $39.99- $10. more because of defective product.That is 30% more. Imagine if that was a $1000.00 TV. It would cost you $300.00 extra because Walmart sold a defective product. Customer services is horrible! One of the main reasons I prefer to shop at Target. Kasey needs additional training before he ever interacts with another customers. We were next in line and he taps on the counter rather than letting us know we were next to be assisted. I guess I looked like some sort of circus animal. We returned a online order with a receipt and pending order email from Walmart online. Not only did he refuse the return he was very rude. After I stated that I would like to be assisted by someone else Hannah supported and our transaction was complete within minutes. She was able to retrieve the order number and process the exchange. On any given day there are workers stocking row after row with large carts taking up all the isle as people try to shop. What happened to stocking shelves at night when it was less crowded? If you fill your basket and make your way to checkout, forget actually having a checker to help you. The whole store has 2-3 lines open for checkout with multiple people waiting. Self check out, which is what they want tou to do, had a line of about 15 people in it also. I gave my cart to one of the five employees standing up front chatting while no one was working the checkout lines and went to Frys. Awful service. read more

Went to buy an item listed for clearance 21 dollars on the display unit. Item scanned at 50$ clerk called someone to come price check and he came up irritated and condescending towards us saying things are always in the wrong spot we must of looked in the wrong area or picked it up wrong. I went to this store to buy WD-40. I forgot my ID in the car, so I finished with my other purchases and went to go get it. When I came back, I grabbed the WD-40 and went to another cashier. While the cashier was ringing me up, another employee came up and told him that he couldn't sell me the item because I had already been denied. I showed her my valid out-of-state driver's license. She told me that they could not accept it because it read "under 21" (despite the fact that I turned 21 in 2014 and the license does not expire until 2018.) I tried to explain that I am, in fact, over 21, and my license is current, but she kept talking over me and raising her voice to be heard. I returned about an hour later to speak with an assistant manager, who explained that not accepting drivers' licenses such as mine is a Wal-Mart policy. When I told him that I have made age-restricted purchases at multiple other Wal-Marts in Arizona with my driver's license, he responded, "Then all those other Wal-Marts were breaking company policy." He then told me in a very condescending tone of voice to "make sure I got my license updated!" - which I have no incentive to do since every other store and restaurant I have visited in this state accepts my license as valid. The policy that Walmart is claiming they use is for a law in Arizona that states you cannot purchase alcohol with an Arizona ID that states "under 21" - you have ten days to update your license after you turn 21, otherwise you cannot purchase alcohol. This does not apply to out-of-state IDs or government documents. Since my ID was from Texas, my ID can be used to purchase alcohol and other age restricted goods. That's why the other stores let me buy items from them - they're following Arizona law and this is not a Wal-Mart policy. read more

Tired to do an online order for curbside pickup (non grocery). Order placed just fine. Get to the store, park and check in. Wait.......and wait. Watch employees come out to help everyone that pulls in, except me. Finally able to get someone's attention, oh you are in the wrong place. You have to go around front. Ok do that, update my location and wait.......and wait. Not a single time during waiting (30+ minutes) did anyone attempt to bring my order out or contact me to find out where I was. Try calling the store, rings for a solid 2 minutes then busy signal. Called 8 times and no one ever picked up. Finally give up and go inside. No one at pick up. Push for service, no one. Wait some more. Finally went to customer service, oh no one came? No!!! We are going on 45 mins of waiting for a CURBSIDE pickup. Associate finally wanders over to the pickup counter and gets an attitude with me then can't find my order. Ended up canceling my order and getting nothing. I'll go to Target from now on. We'll see if my prescription is ready. Not many 24 hour pharmacies near Sun City West. I guess local residents go to bed early. This one closes at 7:00 PM and it's a bum rush. They can't find my name. Actually, Grace was pretty efficient. She collected my insurance information and told me it would be about 15 minutes. It was actually 35 minutes, but considering I'd never ordered from them before it was fairly reasonable. I knew I'd get the medicine before 7:00 because they closed at 7:00. My insurance didn't pay, but the prescription was inexpensive. I had to get to a dinner honoring my father who passed away. They seemed sensitive to this. read more
