She listened, maintained her professionalism, and will use this as a training opportunity for the team. A dual 10" RCA DVD player was in the discontinued section of electronics and had been marked down. It was boxed differently from similar units, so I assumed it must be a "past season" item. In speaking with an Associate in the area, to question the discount, he reassured me that it was priced as marked, though he wasn't sure why. Upon checkout, I requested to speak to a manager when the item rang up for $50 more than marked and was left waiting 15 min before Jared finally ventured to the front of the store (I think he was hoping that by delaying long enough, I would simply leave). I patiently explained the situation to him, but he was dismissive and nearly accused me of placing the sticker on the box myself. I was thoroughly embarrassed in front of other shoppers. Management needs some additional coaching on customer service. read more

At first I thought I couldn't give a Wal-Mart 5 starts, but as far as Wal-Mart stores, or one-stop shopping stores go, this one is as good as it gets. I've been to around 50 different Wal-Marts. This one is by far the best. The worst I've been to has to be any Wal-Mart in the Los Angeles area. I refer you to Mike W.'s review, I agree and it's a great one. This is by far the worst Wal-Mart I have ever been to. Been going there for many years. I have over looked the grumpy employees, waited an hour to get a camera. Eventually leaving empty handed. And the list goes on.. but tonight was it.. I had 3 small bags. He throws the receipt at me like I'm suppose to catch it and I had to go looking for my other 2 bags. He says nothing and starts grumbling about 2 other ladies behind me. He was the only cashier open so what did he expect. That is it. Target is now my go to. At least it's clean, smiling faces and they have better brands. Wal-Mart gets worse every year. read more

Expect to wait a long time at the check out. I had 3 items and the self checkout had a very long line. They had only 2 cashiers working and express check was not available. I will go to Fry's from now on even though I live closer to Walmart. Fry's will open up more cashier lanes when lines start to get long. Walmart obviously doesn't respect our time. read more

I avoid this place like the plague, but every once in a while the appeal of convenience makes me give it another shot. It's nice getting everything in one place, it's close, and it's cheap. But it never ends up worth it. For example, today I needed a few unrelated items and their website was offering curbside pickup... So I decided to give it a try. Big mistake. First of all, Walmart apparently offers curbside pickup, but they don't actually have anyone doing the job. I got the notice my order was ready, downloaded the app, checked in, drove to the store, and then... waited in my car for 30 min with nothing. Called the number, nothing. Went inside to store pickup and rang the pager... after quite a wait a gentleman finally came to help me, but then told me that they didn't register where my order was in the lockers so he would have to check all of them. After about ten minutes of this I had to leave since it had now been almost an hour and I was late picking my kids up from school. The cashier said he would find my order and would have my items out when I came back. When I came back, my order was there, but nobody was manning the service desk AGAIN. I spent almost 30 min ringing, paging, and asking people if they could help me while they avoided eye contact or just ran through and said they were sure someone else would come shortly. I have used a dozen store pickup service, this is the worst one ever. As an aside, this was my second attempt to use pickup from this location, the first was a similar disaster, although I requested in store pickup that time. I thought maybe they would have curbside down better... That is definitely not the case. In short, don't waste your time. read more

Layaway cancels your order with no notice. Customer service and employees are rude. Never enough staff to man the checkout lines. Stacy was unbelievably rude. No wonder Fry's is stealing all of your business. read more

Went to the pharmacy to get a flu shot. I was asked a number of questions to complete a profile. Gave him my Medicare card and Humana supplemental. He was putting that info in the computer and looked confused. He asked if I had a part D and I said no. He said we can't give you the flu shot. I walked away not happy. Went to Safeway and had no problems. It's Part B that annual flu shots fall under not D. Won't ever go back to that store. read more

My faith in humanity has once again been restored. I am humbled and beyond grateful to the amazing person who turned my lost purse into customer service at Walmart on Lake Pleasant earlier today. In the craziness of the day, I believe I left my valuable bag in the shopping cart after unloading my groceries into my trunk. From the bottom of my heart - thank you.....whoever you are. This Walmart is absolutely fantastic, its clean and never crowed no matter what time of day. Every time I visit the customer service is wonderful. I needed to find an ice pack so I asked an employee (Luke) who was actually on his break where the ice packs were and he said it would be easier to show me than tell me, so he walked me to the other side of the store to where the ice packs were located, but I failed to mention that I needed a lunch box ice pack not a relief from pain ice pack. He then walked me back to the other side of the store where the lunch boxes were. Jennifer was stocking shelves on the aisle and she proceeded to help me with the ice packs. They were both very helpful. read more

I don't usually leave reviews, but in this case I feel I have to due to the great lack of respect I received while at this Walmart just now. I came in to buy an air mattress for camping. Easy. When selected I realized I needed to buy the batteries for the pump separately. The pump takes "C" batteries which I couldn't find in the battery section so I asked the employees if they carried them. I had to ask 5 different employees before anybody could give me the time of day to even help me look. The only reason I received any hep whatsoever is because I asked for the manager to come out. I regularly come to Walmart, I only had a simple question that could've been easily answered in 2 minutes had anybody given me the time of day. I'm very disappointed with my experience and won't be returning here anytime soon. read more

Never have enough staff at the registers and you can never find anyone to ask questions. Most of the time when you find someone to ask a question, they have no idea where to find anything in the store. The only reason I shop here is because of prices. read more

Always come to this location because it's clean and friendly but tonight was not the case, me and my little sister asked if we could use the dressing room nicely and the lady who was working the dressing room was very rude and snarky about us using it. Her response, "you better be quick, we close in 5 minutes". I understand it was close to her shift to come to an end but she didn't have to be so rude and if it was such a huge inconvenience for her, she could have rejected us. As we come out of the dressing room, she was standing outside glaring at us. And we did not leave the dressing room area because we were deciding on what to purchase and my mom was sitting on a bench and after we discussed on what to do about our purchase, we left the dressing room area and the lady quickly walks to the bench we were at and dramatically drags the bench across the floor to block the dressing rooms in a very rude manner. So my mom tried asking her what her problem was and why she was acting so rude but she walked away without a word. She displayed very poor and rude customer service. I am writing this because it did not seem the manager was going to handle the situation or even bring it to the employee's attention of her rude behavior. I understand what it's like working in retail but I know and the lady should know when and where to act in a professional environment. read more

Their produce looks icky. They don't have very good selections or a variety of products from which to choose from any department. Lots of products are missing from each department. I got charged for my pistachio nuts and they never made it in a bag to take home as I discovered when I made it home. Now I know never to shop at a Walmart. read more

Visit my folks from out of town, we stopped by this store to pick up some items for the week. Store was very nice, however I was a little taken aback by the cashier when we were checking out. I was purchasing a bottle of Rum and the woman asked if all of us (my dad, sister, and I) were over 40. I said I was, but didn't understand why she was asking if others in my party were. She said she had to and asked to see my sister's license, who is 39. She didn't even ask to see mine! Very bizarre. So, if my 16 year nephew was with me, who. Pearly isn't over 21, would they not have sold me the rum?? Very, very strange. read more

Never thought I would write something praising a Wal-Mart but this location defies expectations. There aren't the typical Wal-Mart customers here (think about it) and the location is spacious and amazingly clean. During the day it's never busy and checkout is always fast. Parking is abundant, and I'll continue going here until it is discovered by everyone else and it goes downhill. read more

Love this Walmart but they put the worst person in customer service. Worst personality and has no sense of urgency. She's super slow and gives everyone attitude. I wasn't even making a return but was in line to get a money order and I wanted to loose my mind. I don't user stand why manager see 8 people in line and don't jump back to help. We do the majority of our shopping here and it helps a lot that they match prices. The nail shop is really cheap. The only thing this walmart is missing is the craft, yarn, scrapbook, section that the 83rd ave walmart has. read more

I have lived out in this location for many years. I used to visit the 83bell location but after a visit to this location, I have found it to be the cleaniest and friendliest walmart i have been to. It even caters to a different 'variety' of customer being on SunCity territory. Can make a quick stop for all my needs and they are good at keeping items in stock. I just want to start off by saying, i go to Walmart very often and it has always been my go to for just about everything. However today i asked an employee if i could have some help finding a certain battery. They said they'd call for someone. I waited about 20 minutes and no one showed up. I went to the outdoor counter to ask, there was a line of 5 people, ironically with batteries as well. I was thinking this was the new automotive counter. I waited again for about 15 min until my turn. I asked about the marine batteries and a battery box to go along with it. The guy at the counter told me he's never heard of a battery box at Walmart, and that he has no idea about marine batteries. I asked if anyone can help me at all, and he told me to take a look myself. So, after googling and searching around the aisles for another 15 min or so i found the right battery and box. The products were all here, but the customer service was sub par. When it comes to technical questions you just have to rely on yourself and google. read more

I purchased christmas items for my son from this store. It was a battery powered nerd gun that did not work. I tried to exchange it but since it was not in stock I was told there was nothing they could do about it. I purchased it on black friday at the sale price. I was told I would have to go re purchase it at regular price myself and then come back with the item and receipt and try to get the price adjusted. Instead of them just taking care of it and reordering the product and exchanging the item. They put it all on me to do when I am not the company that sold the item. I do understand wal mart doesn't make said item but the are the representatives who sold it. They should take the responsibility and make a customer happy and take care of the problem. Instead they just put it all on me. I will order the product from amazon instead and wal mart will lose out on business. The amazon price is only $8 more than I paid for it on black friday anyways. Being a person who works in retail I would rather give my business to the actual local store but not if they are unwilling to provide great customer service when there is a problem. They are great at taking my money but unwilling to help when there is an issue of defective product. As a manager I would have apologized to the customer and assured them I would order a replacement product and call them when it arrived. Making an already successful situation better and putting my customer at ease. read more

I love this Walmart. I moved here from Scottsdale back in December 2017. Need I say more...anyways just this morning Saturday, May 26, 2018 Bridget at the self check out offered to ring up my groceries, as I did buy 8- 1 Gallon waters. She was caring enough to mention how it would be a hassle for me to check those out and offered to check them out for me, and I accepted. I also bought a folding table, more water, a chair and some hefty plastic totes. Also another young male teen also offered to check out my groceries weeks prior today, but I forgot his name. I NEVER have an overall BAD experience with this Walmart. In fact, overall, staff seems down to earth, non-judgmental, and friendly. Never have I had a better, repeated experience at a Walmart than this one. I literally live 2,000 yards from this Walmart and I frequent this store regularly and I go here for cravings and other stuff. read more
