I could say this experience was the worst costumer service ever but I can't because the service was never even provided. I actually went to the other Walmart on 55th and Northern first and both places suck. All I did was just go in to buy a pair of the apple ear buds they sale that's all, only takes a couple minutes right? In and out I tell myself right? NO. Between these 2 places I spent more than an hour trying to get these ear buds. Reason being is since their headphones are all sealed they require an associate to unlock the seal. Which I understand, I mean they wanna prevent theft, but at least have an associate AVAILABLE to remove the seal so I can buy YOUR product. Both walmarts I went to had no associate available, and the associates I did ask help from just said "I don't have the key sorry" and just went on about their business, which I understand is not their area of work but it doesn't hurt to go the extra mile sometime and maybe find someone to help me. Its ridiculous, and I never was able to get them so I just left this place and went to Best Buy all the way in arrowhead. It'd been more convenient to get them at Walmart but because these nitwits (who are part of a multimillion dollar company) are too cheap and lazy to put more workers on the floor to better help costumers. That's why every time you come in there's like 500 registers with only 2 of them open ... I'll never do electronic business at either Walmart again, and maybe no business at all. read more

As a former retail manager I understand the challenges managers face daily, but today I had the worse customer service by a manager . Trying to return a $49.00 vacuum purchase 4 hours prior was a nightmare. I had forgot my receipt at home but told the customer service gal that I purchased it at 8 am this morning at an express checkout in their store and provided them with the cc I used to purchase. I was just told she couldn't help me and a manager would come over. When the manager arrived she was already annoyed and I was told by her (Anna) that she was busy and would get to me when she could. So I waited. When she did come back she again was annoyed that I didn't know exactly which register I had made the purchase at, so I again explained to her that it was at 8 am express checkout. Unhappily she looked up the purchase and found it within 2 minutes, but at that point she turned around and looked at me and said "we will not look up a purchase for you again, I have found the receipt but you cannot have it"she then threw it on the counter and walked away. At that point I was in total shock of being treated like this and stood again and waited for a customer service rep to help me process my return. After having to ask one to help me I asked her why I was treated like this and she just said anything over $50 requires a manager if you do not have the receipt - well, as I mentioned the item was $49 and some change - not over $50.00. Nor was I ever told that I could not return or exchange anything over $50 without a receipt (but why would I have been told that when I had purchased an item under $50!). I would have happily exchanged my item and continued to shop but that was never offered. Even as she scrolled through the purchases I had made using the cc you think she might have noted that I am a regular walmart shopper - not a scammer. She never once apologized for treating me like I was just another inconvenience in her day or thanked me for shopping at walmart. No worries - I won't shop again. read more

Literally the worst service I have received in my life so far. Sat in line for 20 minutes since only one register was open. Walmart personnel rudely told us to leave the self checkout as it was time to shut it down. Customers were overall apparently aggravated by the service, but it still took 15 minutes just to respond and open another checkout. I recently moved here to Peoria where I have a Walmart right across the street from my home. Now I haven't always had the best of taste for walmart. However after the experience I had this evening at this walmart supercenter, that may have just changed. I was asked by numerous smiling employees if I needed help finding anything. There were also plenty of open registers to keep us customers flowing in and out smoothly. The one thing I did have an issue with was the jalapeño poppers I got from the deli weren't quite what I had hoped, so I may stick to buying those from the frozen section and making them at home. read more

This is the worst Walmart I've ever been to, the employees are thieves and dishonest. I got a layaway for Christmas and I got my girls each an electronic animal one of them being the zoomer black and white interactive cat, which was $100. First of all when I went to get my layaway I still owed about $320 which I paid and the cashier went to grab my things. My whole layaway was over $500 worth of stuff so when the lady brought me two unopened boxes and told me I was set to go, I asked her "where are the rest of my items" then she went on to say that she could not find them. So I was upset at the fact that she would just try and let me walk out without telling me she was unable to locate the rest of my items, second of all she never checked the boxes she gave me and third I had just handed her $320. So I asked for the manger, she came out and found my stuff and again she did not check my boxes! Which I should have checked them to but at that point over an hour had passed and I was already aggravated. Well come Christmas my girls father dresses up as Santa Claus and all of his family and there children participate and each child opens a gift from "Santa claus" when my daughter went to open her gift which was the zoomer cat, she pulled out a big bottle of dawn dish soap! Do you know how upsetting that is to a 5 year old! I went back to Walmart which took multiple trips and got to the point where I had to threaten to involve the cops for them to finally make it right. Something is wrong with this Walmart. Management is horrible and there loss prevention should look into there employees including management because that is not right, Walmart stole from my family! read more

I shop here all the time only because it's cheaper. So I've had many experiences where the cashiers have forgotten to ring up the stuff they set aside and then I end up leaving without it. They're always complaining about their lunch breaks or personal life and not paying attention. The produce section always had crap produce that looks old. Food City has better quality produce than this Walmart! The employees are rude and show that they just don't care. It's just horrible! read more

The manager really fails at thier job. The allow the walmart employees to park right in front. They never have enough lanes open. Most of theor cashiers are slow and take no consideration of the people waiting in lines for more than 20 minutes. The popular items are always out of stock. Their produce is not always fresh. Please check to make sure they are not moldy in the bag or containers. read more

I usually try to avoid going to walmart but for the sake of convience its right across the street from me. Today when I had gone in with my fiancé, he was receiving a money order as a gift from his parents. The customer service rep was TERRIBLE. She refused to help him because he has IV at the end of his name and his dad didnt put it in when he was sending it ( and usually doesnt). This has never been a problem before at any other walmart we have been too. We asked for a manager and a woman in a yellow vest came to talk to us but really was no help at all because she repeated the exact same thing the rep said and then proceeded to ignored us and talk to other associates over the walkie. We then asked for her manager and she was at least willing to see what she could do. Then another woman in a yellow vest walked over to say she had no idea what was going on but said they were going to process the money order. She then told the original service rep to process it to which she refused and called up another customer. To which she sent us to the man at the second register who gladly helped and was very friendly. We had to deal with 5 different people for a transaction that took less than 5 minutes. I returned something at the pharmacy so I can pay the difference with my new insurance card. They charged me the new price ($3.91) and the lady was very rude and in a rush. She messed up the transaction and my $28 never went back on my card like she said it would. She didn't even give me my original receipt back. Went to customer service and they wanted me to call the cash manager. Um I don't think so, that's not my job. No one would take the time to help me when they kept talking about the solution -.- poor customer service! Everyone is very rude at this location. read more

I have been using grocery pickup at this location for almost a year now. I have never been treated with such disrespect as I was this past wednesday. The grocery pickup associate named Tylor decided to make me wait 40 mins for my groceries after calling & checking in with him at my scheduled time all because... a woman who pulled up, 15 minutes after me while he was loading the groceries in for the customer ahead of me, told him to bring her groceries out first! Instead of telling the woman to wait her turn he decides to wait in her first. I confronted him about it and instead of giving good customer service and correcting his wrong he ignored me... I then ask for a manager. He ignored me... So I called the number again he picks up with a portable headset and very rudely tells me "yeah I know I'm going to get one". He disappears for 15 more minutes before someone else comes out, Tylor NEVER returned to help me or The troll of a woman, he just quit doing his job altogether. The new associate goes directly to the other woman who, instead of being a decent human being and loading her own groceries, is just sitting there. He proceeds to continue to load her groceries. Once done he comes to my window I tell him I'm waiting on a manager (assuming tylor the useless associate has sent someone else out to help the other lady while he's getting me a manager...which is still wrong they should've helped me first). The associate informs me that he is in fact the manager that I called for. At this time I'm am seething... I begin to question this jerk as to why he would go to the other lady when I am the one who asked for a manager to begin with & I was here 15 to 20 minutes before this human waste even showed up. The manager, named Jonathon, tells me he didn't want the lady waiting, I lose it on him... I tell him I have been waiting for almost an hour now and I was the second car I'm line ahead of this lady by, again, 15 to 20 minutes. Instead of apologizing to me he's just as dismissive so I chew him out and tell him I want his associates number and the other guy and to see his boss. He tells me I need to call the 800 number which I assured him I would be doing (& nice try I will be paying the STORE manager a visit as well). How dare the pair of them behave in such a despicable way to a regular customer (I order & pick up there at least once a week) he finally goes and gets my order, by that time my frozen food has defrosted. I'm LIVID, not to mention I missed an important appointment due to their negligent & disrespect which I will not be able to reschedule for another month or two. Usually I help the associate load my groceries (as that's the kind of person I am), but this time I simply watched him loaf my groceries and I gave him an earful on his poor customer service & incompetency at his job. If I could give this store less than one star I would. Their associates do not care about their jobs, they half-ass their jobs, & disrespect their customers. I will NEVER shop here again & have told my friends & family about my experience & They are boycotting as well. The girl at the corporate call center was very understanding and polite & I appreciate her listening and sympathizing. She gave me a $15 promo code which, while I thanked her and I appreciate her effort, $15 is no substitute for my time or my distress. They should fully refund my order as my frozen food was defrosted, I was forced to wait more than an hour AND disrespected and dismissed by both associate and a manager. The parking lot is always a mess with shopping carts and can often present problems if you want to park close to the front. The isles can be very messy and far too narrow, the selection is always poor being that they hardly ever stock the shelves. This store is horribly understaffed and it can be a huge pain to check out as they usually only have 3 registers open at a time. The self check out has so many problems and errors you can hardly use them. Some of the pharmacists are great but most of them are ill tempered, under educated, and flat out rude. The customer service desk has some rather nice ladies but they aren't always the most knowledgeable. read more

Walmart Corporation has the policy of price match to customers who can find a lower price on a identical product. Most of Walmart stores carry out this policy very well but this specific Walmart doesn't. Some employees required customers to bring the ad although the policy from Corporation stated that customers don't have to. Some employees were not willing to match price for customers. It looks like they tried to make it a hassle so the customer have to give up. Today it is worse. They DIDN'T HONOR the price match. I brought the Ad from Alberson to buy soft drink. and the employee said that they are not allowed to match price on soft drinks any more. She said it's the order from the management. I'm not sure why the management decided not to honor the price match but I can be sure that they will lose businesses more than save some $$$. read more

Good luck in trying to find anything! They have removed all the signs in the aisles so that the only way to find anything is to go up and down each aisle looking for what you want! I finally just left my basket in the aisle and left the store and won't go back there again! But they did change all their large signs to English and Spanish! Maybe all their non-English-speaking customers will keep them in business! read more
