The only reason I come to this Walmart is because it's cheaper than other places. With that being said, don't expect to get any help from their staff. Most of them belong in a nursing home if you ask me. And the big part is they have more check lanes then any other store I have ever been to and yet they only ever have maybe 5 max open. The return/exchange customer service is awful. I tried to return something I bought an hour prior at another location because it was missing a crucial part. The Walmart associate got me the "manager" surprise, it wasn't even a manager. They then told me that they couldn't help me & I'd have to backtrack all the way to the other Walmart because it was "their fault." That was not going to happen because I was on my way from L.A. to Sacramento and towing a Uhaul. I then Proceeded to call the main Walmart customer service & they told me that they don't leave the customer to deal with situations like that & that the associate was in fact not a manager since she wore a yellow vest. They told me to get the real manager and to call a direct number if I was not helped. I went up to a cashier at the self check out and she got someone who helped me instantly and they handled my return effortlessly right there in self check out. Im rating the COSMETICS section. The service sucks sooo bad. They have all the cosmetics locked up and you can't touch them. (Well its ok but the whole system just doesn't workout fine) Just even to compare the powder to your skin. Im not even testing the product for hygienic purposes. I asked for the assistance of one of the employee and they were nice to help out but choosing a powder or a lipstick takes a few minutes before you decide picking out what you want by then there's a really long wait of other customers that needs to be assisted. I ordered $100 worth of toys as Christmas gifts online on dec 15 with a store pickup date of dec 18. I called the store today because I have not heard from them. They cannot find my order! I called Walmart.com and they said it was delivered to porter ranch. I checked the FedEx tracking and it shows delivered to west hills. I contacted the west hills store and they have no record of me in their system. It takes 15 minutes to speak to someone when calling about an online order and they can't find it. read more

The Vision Center at the Porter Ranch Walmart is not very good...starting with the MANAGER of the Vision Center. To begin with, I received in the mail a $50.00 discount coupon off a complete set of glasses. I needed to replace my reading glasses so I drove over to pick up another pair of glasses I had ordered and while there, I told the manager I wanted to purchase another pair of reading glasses using the coupon and without even looking at the coupon he informs me that the coupon is only good for frames $99.00 or more. I told him there was nothing on the coupon that stated this and showed it to him. He told me then that the coupon was only good on certain frames but not all frames(?!) I realized at this moment that this guy does NOT have my customer satisfaction as a priority. So I picked out a set of frames for $29.00, the lenses were $30.00 and I end up paying $9.00 and they'll call me when they are ready. That was good. When given my other glasses, he says "can you see through them?" And I said yes but he doesn't even bother to ask if they need an adjustment for a proper fit. So, I go home and discover that the new frames keep slipping down my face and one side is slightly higher than the other and so instead of driving 17 miles back to Porter Ranch, I'll wait until next week when i go to pick up my readers. Next week comes and I get a message that my readers are ready. I drive over and there's my friend (the Manager) all by himself in the store. I tell him my name and he goes to the cabinet and pulls the prescription trays out and places it in front of me when another customer walks in and he says try them on and he starts helping the new customer. Well, I put these glasses on and the room started to spin...out of control! Clearly the prescription was WRONG! I told him this and without even looking he says that this is the prescription on file. Upon further examination of the prescription paperwork in the tray, I discovered this was SOMEONE ELSE'S prescription!! He's alone in the store, no other customers and he gives me the WRONG GLASSES! Ooops! NO apology, just "Oh". So he gives me MY prescription which turns out to be alright and then I ask him to adjust the glasses I picked up the week before. He asks what's wrong and I told him they keep slipping down my nose. He takes them into the back room and a few minutes later returns and they certainly fit more snug. I also asked him about one side being lower than the other and he tells me that one of my eyebrows is higher than the other! OK! Well, the frames were now so snug they started giving me headaches. So I couldn't wear them for very long. I waited for an opportunity to go back again and this time he wasn't there and I told the clerk at the counter what was happening and she asked where it was giving me the most pain. I showed her and she took them into the back room to adjust the temples which she did and she tells me that they'll fit better in 24 hours. I thanked her and left. A few days later, I was shopping at Target and on a whim, I stopped in the vision center and asked the clerk to look at my frames on my face and if one side was higher than the other and he said YES! He examined them and he told me that he would adjust them for me however since I did not purchase them at Target, he would not guarantee if something happened when he adjusted them. I told him fine. He took them back and a few minutes later he returned and gave them to me and they fit great and looked great on my face. He told me that the frames were slightly warped and he was able to straighten them out. A person's eyes are precious and part one one's general health. So, a long story about really poor customer service. Needless to say, I will NOT be returning to the Walmart vision center in Porter Ranch ever again. You've been warned folks! read more

This is the worst Walmart I have ever been to. Stopped in to get some Tylenol. Everything, and I mean literally everything is locked up. Rang the button for "quick service" then waited. Rang the button 4 times. No one. Saw 3 other people In the aisles next to us all waiting to have their items unlocked. This is not the first time. I have given this Walmart several chances. Three times I have tried to get items unlocked, three times no one has ever come. I'm not going to wait forever to get an everyday household item only to wait in long lines because you only have a few registers open. They literally have $2 items locked behind glass. It is a waste of time to come here and I will never go back. This is in Porter Ranch for goodness sake, not east LA. Headed to Target now. Update: went into Target nearby, nothing locked up. Picked up Tylenol immediately, paid quickly and went home. After all the money Walmart made during the pandemic you'd think they could afford to staff their stores effectively. Went into this Walmart today trying to find a specific toy that my son has been begging me to buy him for Christmas and being a last minute holiday shopper my luck was running thin until I ran into this associate Kayla. Such a helpful young lady with the biggest smile on her face who tried so hard to find what I wanted and would not give up till I got it! Walmart definitely needs more people like her! I have never had a positive experience here. This place is pretty lame and I only come here when I have no other options. Its crowded and it's laid out like freaking obstacle course. Don't like walmart at all but I didn't want to drive 10 mins to target. As soon as we get into the store you already have a rude customer complaining about something. I just don't like the layout and feel of wallmart and this one is no exception. They have their clothes just piled and hung all over the place. It hard not to get overwhelmed. This Wal-Mart definitely serves its purpose. It has a huge parking lot that accommodates the growing mass of people that shop here. You enter from either side of the entrances and you are introduced to the super-market area of Walmart. Of course there is the route for the return center on the right side, and if you walk a bit further there is the Mc Donalds, Optometry, and Photo Studio. Definitely love this Wal-mart the best. Tons of selection. I can dig this place, no doubt! Will recommend this place to friends and family. Great Customer service. Went for some toiletries and picked some Biore nose strips. Well they are locked in a case (guess lots of people shoplifting these?) and the lady who took out was nice. BUT... she then had to place in a theft box that is opened once I paid. It was a product less than $6! Then I went to self check out and had to wait for the ONE clerk working the section of about 20 self help terminals. She took it out of the case for me. Then I had bought air computer cleaner and I guess it had to be verified I was over 18 to purchase. She put the code in and walked away but didn't clear the screen and had to wait for her to come back. It just seemed like such a hassle with self checkout! I had the misfortune of mistaking a person for a Walmart customer sales associate or whatever they call themselves. This person was wearing a smock of what I thought was a Walmart customer sales associate. This person was engage in conversation with what I thought was another customer. This person was gesturing and pointing to items on the selves like a typical customer sales associate. I waited nearby patiently for an opportunity to ask about the location of a Walmart store item. There was a pause in their conversation. I politely ask if I could ask a question when the associate had a moment. She looked at me as if I had "S" on me and continued with the now obviously socializing with this other person. I continued to wait. Both parties move to another location. I follow hoping to get my question answered. The parties separated and the assumed associate went down an aisle. I followed and very quickly the other customer join the associate in the new location. I waited. Now it is apparent to me that I am be ignored. I take out my cell phone and began to record. As I was recording, I notice a third party had positioned himself behind me. I supposed to check if I were video taping. As this third party came from behind me I then turned to find a manager at the front of the store. On my to the front of the store the female assumed customer caught up to me and began video taping m . Cool. I then turned towards her and began video taping her as she raced back to her party. I then turned to go to find the manager. While asking for the manager, I noticed the male from the assumed customer party was frantically trying to get anyone's attention. He started talking at the same time as I started talking. I asked why all of a sudden I am getting so attention now when I couldn't get any attention back in the isle. I told him that I merely wanted to ask the assumed associate a question. At which he informed that they did not work for Walmart, but instead worked for McDonalds. There is a McDonalds located within Walmart. I asked him why she never stated that she was not a Walmart associated. At this point the manager came and asked us both to lower our voices. I complied. I told him what the circumstances were and that I had recorded the event. He immediately started shouting that the store did not permit videotaping. I said really. As I exited I told the manager that I would take this up on Yelp. I reached the store exit when I again noticed that the male assumed customer had trailed me and was video taping again. So I exited the store and video this person in violation the rule that the manager had just utter. read more

I've used this Walmart for years and I love it. If you want to avoid the crowd; go early on Sunday morning. I go at 7 am on Saturday or Sunday and I'm the only one in the store. Listen, this place is not perfect, but they try. So much inventory goes in and out so fast; I see them stocking when I go in. I recently joined the "Savings Catcher" and within 60 days I have received $97.00 back in money. No other store offers that!!! Don't complain, leave your kids home and your significant other if needed, and enjoy what Walmart for what it is. read more

I was here last night with my daughter and I had a great experience. The store was clean and well kept. We were able to do our shopping without any issues except that the store ran out of bags entirely. Luckily we had some storage containers in the car or we would have been making multiple trips to unload the car. Aside from that, the main reason for the review is because of the wonderful customer service we received from the man checking out basket out before we leave the store. He was very nice and helpful. I used the walmart.com to order a waterless vaporizer for my 5 month old son. For those of us parents having a sick child is the worst. Specially when we can't give them anything for the flu. A relative suggested a vapor fan. I searched everywhere for it, but it was discontinued. I started researching alternatives and reading reviews etc..the Walmart website was the only store who had it available for same day pick up, but it didnt show they had in available in store for purshase. I thought the same day pick up would be a life saver and instead it became a nightmare. I placed my order and I then was instructed to wait for a text message informing when my order was ready for pickup. I thought this was pretty neat I had never used Walmart.com before. I got the text and immediately sent my husband to pick up the Vicks vaporizer, while I stayed home with my son. It was like 8:00pm and 43degrees out no way I was gonna take my infant out. I gave my husband my drivers license, the credit card we used to pay for the item n I fwd him the text confirmation with the order#. I figured it was enough. My husband then calls me that he spoke to 4 different employee n no one can help unless I'm there to pick up the order. They gave him a 800#to call to add him as an authorized person for pick up???? I called the number the rep said it would take 24,48 hrs to update because of the time. The rep gave me the tel # to the Walmart to speak to customer service and ask for them to make an exception. No one ever answered at customer service I was holding for 5 min. I then put the call on hold n called my husband to have him ask for a super..he had the assistant manager in front of him. I asked him to put her on the phone I heard her say I can't talk to anyone I then asked him to tell her to answer the customer service phone. My husband was told by the assistant manager that it could take up to 30 min to have a manager to come to the phone...so I waited on the phone while my son cried out the whole time. I then had a gentleman come to the phone, I asked him to please make an exception my son is sick and I can't come in to pick it up my husband has my DL. credit card to verify the item is payed for...he then said to call the 800#to have my husband added as authorized person. I explained what the rep had said. He said it takes 5 min for an update. I then told him that somebody didn't have their stories straight. "my manager says we can't make exceptions".I asked for a manager and got nothing. It's crazy how they care so much about a dumb policy than customer satisfaction. I worked in management both in retail and health care and my top priority has always been a happy and satisfyed customer. Even if you don't have the adequate training you still remain human my son was crying screaming through out me dealing with the employees n no one cared that the vapor fan was to treat my son. I much rather pay more and shop were I'm valued as a customer never shopping at Walmart ever again. read more

The employees didn't even know where or what the hold up was. I wasn't initially upset about anything but making me wait for a simple inquiry is horrible customer service.
