The family who owns this market is amazing. They're kind, helpful and very knowledgeable about the products they carry. Prices are always reasonable, products are always well stocked and fresh, and it's very welcoming and clean inside. Plenty of parking in their shared parking lot. I've been coming here for almost a decade. It's always steadily busy here, definitely lots of regulars. Sadly I moved further from Bombay Market... we used to live just around the corner. But after several failed attempts at finding other markets near our new house none of them are quite as good as Bombay Market and you bet, I drive out of my way just to go shopping at Bombay Market because they are just remarkable. They carry trusted brands, Pani Puri or fouchka / foutchka not sure on the spelling~ the one with the spice packets inside, tons of variety and I'm always finding new products there I didn't see before. We purchased a Box of Rabri from this place three days later we opened the box, As you can see it was rotten. I can't believe this owner asked me to provide him with a receipt. They sell their mercy by scanning them. He could've just scanned back and see if it was purchased from his store. I tried a taco wrapped in Paratha at Smorgsburg recently. I fell in love and have been looking for an Indian Market. I came across this market through yelp. I walked in and everyone was so friendly. Seeing that I am not Indian, I probably looked lost. I asked where the Paratha was and I was escorted to the freezer section only to find out that there were so many different types. So, I asked the lady which one was good. She asked me several questions and suggested the Kawan brand. The market was well organized and super clean. There is ample parking so it is easy to go in and out. I definitely want to go back to try the other Parathas. read more

Sadly this is no longer a West Indian market. I went in recently and noticed that the man who normally worked here was not behind the counter. It turns out that he had sold it. I asked for some West Indian staples, green seasoning and pepper sauce. The stock of Guyanese and Trinidadian products has been depleted. The new owner tried to be helpful, but unfortunately they don't stock what I needed Ang longer. I expect that this will just be an Indian market moving forward. read more

Okay so I used to shop here a lot BUT the last time I went he sold us bad papadams and then when I took it back, he said i cant take it back because of covid. There was no expiry date on it either. It's sad because I loved getting my groceries there and I never leave negative reviews but just check the product when you get it from here because you wont get a refund for bad products sold to you. read more

Bugs crawling out of the pistachios I bought from here. I just bought the pack 30 mins ago and decided to munch on a couple before putting it in my dessert. It tasted funny. I've been going to Bombay Market for a while now and I must say that it separates itself from other Indian/Caribbean stores with the management and what the store itself has to offer. The customer service is great but what is even better is that they offer a wide variety of foods; they have rice, different curries, edibles, and also fresh fish upon request. This kind of store makes Chatsworth so special!!! I'm so glad that I found this place (thanks, Yelp!). I was looking for some Indian snacks & spices, and happen to found Bombay Market near work. At first I thought I would buy snacks and spices, but once I got in I realized it was a huge, well stocked Indian grocery store - very organized and priced right, so I ended up doing grocery for the whole month. This store had all kind of spices, namkeen snacks, cookies, sauce mix, beans, lentils, rice, flour etc you need for cooking Indian food plus the imported drinks.They also carry frozen roti, naan and paneer. One more thing worth mentioning- They even had a produce case where I could get the fresh vegetables even tiny eggplants, tindora, fresh methi leaves (I was happy to see that leaves were sealed packed to remain fresh) And I'm sure they were cheaper at Bombay Market. I also picked up pakora, samosa and some Jalebi (divine and tasteful) that they had sourced. Customer Service was great too!! I could browse at my leisure and not feel pressured or weird or anything. But when I had a question and was ready to check out, the young man who helped me was quick, helpful and sweet. As a Trinidadian living in ventura county it is very difficult to find Caribbean products within a decent drive. I dropped in at the Bombay market and found lots of the items I normally have to bring back on visits from Trinidad. What really impressed me was my conversation with the owners. Ravi and his brother were wonderful to talk to and are willing to try to understand what might be the unmet need for products for the caribbean community.
