This place sucks in customer service. If you decide to do a pickup beware. Their pickup opens an hour later than they have on the pickup receipt you receive. I came in parked in designated area, called the number for over 10 minutes so I got out of my car to go into store. People in that pickup area standing around doing nothing, looking lost, so I figure I'll. Get one of them to give me my stuff. Writing this review on behalf of my dad because he promised Ana Laura a good review on her customer service. He went two weeks ago to look for some auto parts. He had approached a worker for help, and all she said was he can look online. He obviously was upset and continued to look through the Isles. Then Ana Laura kindly approached him asking if he had found what he was looking for, since he appeared to be struggling to find that auto part. He explained to her what he was looking for and she helped him until he found all parts. He came home telling me he had a good experience and saying how he appreciates workers who truly value the customers. Been shopping at this Walmart for 20 years. I admit when it was under construction it sucked badly. But now that it's done it is very nice. Things are organized usually easy to find if I have trouble finding something I have no trouble finding an associate to help me and they take me straight there usually. I love going grocery shopping there. Prices are very reasonable. Food and produce are fresh. I have never had the associates be rude to me ever. And I have return things to Walmart. I have never had a problem with them ever. They will usually give you store credit or money back if you don't have the receipt it will be the lost price they sold it that month. BEWARE!!! Do not shop here!!! When tin to by a combo wireless key board and mouse got home got the key board, but no mouse. Somebody stole the mouse out of the box. My wife wanted to purchase a Blu-ray wireless DVD play. Asked the staff in the electronics department to verify if it was internet compatibility with are AT&T router, he said yes no problem. Got it home and it has to be hardwired in order to connect. It's not wireless compatible. The people who work there are totally ignorant. Now I have to go back and exchange theses two items. After ringing the bell to get razors for 20 mins and no show, I left. There was a nearby worker and I said excuse me, she responded "I don't have keys" in a very irritated way, lmao. I then went and got groceries, to later stand in line for close to 30 mins. to pay, lmao again! 18 lanes of cash registers, and only 5 were open with extremely long lines, and extremely slow cashiers... I understand through COVID but when I get an email for a pick up item & the hours say 8am to 8pm I arrive 7:15pm & there's nobody there employees at cash registers are just looking at me I go to the greeter & they say we're short handed & I see 15 cashiers but you close the whole pick up department probably a total of 2 to 4 people makes no sense I really respect Target Lowe's & Home Depot with there drive up curbside pick up & will do even more business with them over Wally World having good prices doesn't make up for great customer service Quality over Quantity I'm dropping from two stars to 1 because I went again the next day & they closed at 5pm if the sign says 8am to 8pm have 1 worker at least I would give 0 stars because that's the effort of there customer service read more

Aretha in Cosmetics department was super helpful when I was guided there to ask for a BBQ in the next section over. I was looking for service all over and no one would come by and multiple employees just standing and talking. I knew Riverside was a little "ghetto" but not "let's go to Walmart and steal shaving razors" haha so now Walmart has locked up their razors behind glass, and there is a button that says something along the line of "press for help". Today I got to Walmart only to purchase razors. Got to the item I needed and there were already two people waiting. I pressed the button and the people told me they've been waiting a few minutes already. Ten minutes pass since I got there and pressed the button initially, and no one has come to help. Now there's a group of 4-5 different people who need razors and we attempt to call 3 different employees over but they're all "busy"... I event attempted to call the store (from inside the store) to try to get some one to open the glass and was holding to only get hung up on... after maybe 15-20minutes of waiting, some one shows up with a key... Realistically, it's the closest store to where I am currently living, so I guess it's "convenient" but I rather drive a little further and pay more to shop at a place where they value their customer's time. read more

Be careful ordering from Walmart online. I hadn't ordered in a couple of years . I put my correct address in when I ordered but it got sent to the old address on their website instead of the address I put in . I sent a complaint to wal mart and added my new address to the website . I was told they could do nothing since I put the new address in. I was told it was sent and received (to the OLD address) and it was not their problem and there was nothing the could do. So they got their money , my old address has my products and I have nothing. Really wish this place knew how to make customers feel welcomed. Cashiers talking to other cashiers while they are ringing up customers and not paying attentionto their guest, they don't acknowledge you except to take your cash. No hello, no did you find everything you were looking for, no welcome to walmart, no smile or eye contact. Everything is always confrontational or make you feel like unwelcomed like you are bother. There was only one manager there that makes you feel appreciated as a customer and his name is Paul. I don't understand why they don't make him the store manager. This company is horrible, they treats people like criminals. I received a box of diapers size one, Walmart brand, at my baby shower. I tried to exchange them for a size 2 since my daughter is no longer a size one. Walmart would not let me exchange because I didn't have a receipt when there was a shipping lable shipped from Walmart on the box. Horrible customer service. I am writing this review in response to the inhumane way store manager Jesse Gonzales and assistant manager Valerie have decided to treat the stray cats in the parking lot. Years ago, under previous manger John, the cat population in the parking lot got out of control; 70+ cats. Cats and kittens running around everywhere, sometimes even getting hit by cars. When the store underwent construction to become a Super Walmart 2-3 years ago, a new manager named Terry came in to oversee all the changes and construction. He allowed a local, non-profit group called TNR Riverside to step-in and help control the cat population size. They spent hundreds of man-hours and thousands of dollars trapping, spaying/neutering, and vaccinating the cats in the parking lot. They found homes for many of the cats, especially the kittens. The ones that could not be adopted (for various reasons) were returned to Walmart and there was an agreement in place to let them live out the remainder of their lives. Feeding stations were discretely installed where the cats could get food and fresh water, all provided by TNR Riverside volunteers (pictures provided are before feeding stations were painted to blend in with the wall). Over the couple of years Terry was store manger, the cat population declined dramatically to approximately 25-30 cats since they were all now spayed/neutered and not reproducing. They are all well-fed, healthy, vaccinated cats happily living out the remainder of their lives. Well, fast forward to recent times when unfortunately Terry left Walmart and was replaced with current manger Jesse Gonzales. Jesse decided to no longer honor the agreement that was made with TNR Riverside to let them take care of the remaining cats. He ordered the tear-down of the feeding stations and will not allow any volunteers to provide food or water for the cats. He is essentially starving the cats, in the hopes that they will just go away. This will not happen because almost every one of the cats were born in that parking lot; it has been their home for 5+ years. The only thing that will happen is that the cats will start eating scraps and leftover food thrown on the ground by customers to survive. They will get sick due to malnutrition, and some will die of dehydration. Jesse Gonzales has refused to talk to anyone from TNR Riverside and will not take any of the repeated phone calls we have made or reply to certified letters. Assistant manager Valerie is doing the same. Shame on you both! Anyone who is an animal lover, please complain to the store or corporate about the situation. Let them know that you would like for the store to let us continue to care for the cats! read more

If you believe in the humane treatment of cats, as of today you won't want to shop at this store. A volunteer group has been helping with the feral cat population at the Walmart on Van Buren for many years, in fact The Riverside Neighborhood Partnership recognized them at the awards a few years ago. Here's what Keith and Lynn Matthews wrote: "New manager, Jesse Ginzales at Walmart on Van Buren has taken down our three feeders and bared the TNR (Trap, Neuter, Release) feeding people from coming on the property. Lynn & I have spay and neutered 50 to 60 cats over the past 3 years. Stopped the reproduction & built feeders. We could see when people dropped new cats or kittens so we could trap them. People need to let Walmart know that a controlled community holds down the size and cats are healthy. Jesse (Manager) will not even take our calls for a meeting." There is a "vacuum" effective, so when cats are removed, they will be replaced by others. How can we convince Walmart to allow them to continue? Boycott! For the last 2 months there Return center for returning merchandise Has been closed I truly believe they're doing it intentionally so that we're not able to bring something back. I was there about 6 weeks ago and it was closed they told me they could not take back this curling iron But yet the lady in cosmetic was able to help me out and gave me my money back on it as a return Be aware of doing your Christmas shopping there I believe when it's time to take something back that department will be closed again be aware of this Walmart read more
