I love shopping and browsing at various Grocery Outlet Bargin Markets over Southern CA. This location here in Riverside is one of the stores that I frequently visit. I like coming here for a quick stop and end up pleasantly surprised every time as I find more goodies at great prices. The deals are great, the aisles are easy to navigate, and the staff genuinely make the experience better. They're friendly, patient, and quick to help you track something down. They even look at their ordering list to see if they can bump up a shipment if you are looking for a specific item. One of my favorite aisles to browse is their Specialty Cheese Selection where you can often find premium cheeses at a fraction of the usual price. It's one of the reasons I always check that section first. Their fresh produce and snack finds are also consistently solid and budget-friendly. I also like to check out their Ice cream selections, as they carry organic and sugar free options as well. As always, a good deal with a variety of flavors to choose from. Although if you are hooked on a specific brand or flavor you have to go back to the store right away. The isles always have thing that make me pause and go "I haven't seen those before...". Small space, but well organized. Horrible customer service. The lettuce today 03-12-25 was severely wilted, and with black sluggish stuff on it under the plastic. The produce lady was restocking and didn't remove spoiled veggies. I had a very disappointing experience at this location on 11-20-24 around 11:10ish am While checking out at checkout line #1. I forgot my PIN number, which can happen to anyone. Instead of being patient or understanding, the employee at the register said, "Oh my God," in a rude tone and then stormed off because she was late for her lunch break lol. This kind of behavior is unacceptable, especially in a customer service role. I've always appreciated the friendly environment at Stater Bros., but this interaction was far from it. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses the employee's attitude to ensure a more respectful experience for all customers. They have close outs and overstocks and things like that.There are also home goods here. Yes, purchased a water bottle . Yes, purchased plants-- r.i.p little fern(s). One of my favorite stores period. I find amazing deals on par or even better than Costco here. My normal routine is to come here and shop and then go to another store for the stuff I don't find. Especially love the Nosh section. Another part I love is that the owner always tries to order the products that customers want, almost like a local neighborhood grocery store. And eventually it does come in. This place gives Sprouts a run for it's money because most of the items you find in sprouts might end up on grocery outlet shelves for atleast 50% off. I hope more people find out about grocery outlets because they are locally owned and so the owner is extremely invested in the success of his/her business. I highly recommend this branch! read more

Why haven't I reviewed this place before??? Grocery outlet is one of my favorite stores. Not just for the great prices but they have such a great variety of products. The produce section is always great and I always find great stuff in the meat section. I am not a meat eater but during this crazy time, their prices always stay reasonable and affordable. They also have a wide variety of NOSH products. So many organic and vegan options that are not only popular but affordable. Okay and the wine! The wine section is pretty darn great! You can get great finds that are normal $20 plus for $5! They have a pet section too! With many of the grain free options that would normally cost twice as much! Plus holiday decor! This store is not for people who need specific items that want to an an elaborate feast. Most likely they won't have all of the ingredients. Checker clearly doesn't like her job. And not wearing a mask, not even on her chin, nowhere to be seen. And are they like Aldi where you have to bag your own stuff? The only reason I am giving this a 2 star review is because I do like that this store has a lot of good products. The review would be higher but good customer service is EVERYTHING to me. There is a lady that work there named Jacky or Jackie. Her customer service is TERRIBLE. She always has a stank look on her face. She is very selective on who she greets when they arw in her line. In all honesty she always gives me the vibe that she does not care for black people. Each time I am in her line she NEVER greets me, never tells me my total and never says anything when I leave. And this behavior is s9mething she does all the time. But if there is someone before me or after me she greets them right away, gives them their total and gives an exit. I find it to be rude and disrespectful. One time after I left the store I sat in my car and called the store and spoke to the manager. He is a young man. I informed him she needs to be coached. Clearly he didn't speak to her because she continues to do the same thing. The last time I went in there and I had no choice but to go in her line I told her that she needs to work on her customer service and that it comes across as very rude that she doesn't acknowledge people. I informed her she is working with the public and everyone should be greeted properly. She def needs to be coached. She made the decision to work at that job. If she doesn't like being around people of different backgrounds she is working in the wrong field. Also, this store needs more diversity as far as workers. read more

I love this chain and now we are lucky to have one in Riverside. I had been driving to Lake Elsinore or Ontario for my fix of well priced groceries and beer. YES BEER- they have a very large selection and it is hard to find good dark beer, but they offer some and at great prices! I love finding new things every time I come. I like this place for a lot of reasons, but it doesn't get the full 5 stars because of some obvious downsides (which I feel that they fully accept as their business model). Things I LOVE to buy here- eggs, milk, some produce, cheese, canned goods and frozen goods. I also like to wander around to see what deals they have that I didn't think I had needed before walking in to the store. I like that this place has a lot of the staples of most home kitchens at a good price and you know that will always be available. I also love, however, that they have one off deals on cool products you don't ever see or notice in other stores that let you step out of your comfort zone and try without great monetary risk. The downside is that it is a small store and you won't find everything you are looking for, or if you wont wind a wide variety of it. My wife grew up with a GOBM in her town and she said it was the store you shopped at first for all of the deals, then you went to a large grocery store for the rest of the things you couldn't get at the outlet. I feel like this is the best way to describe this place. I know it doesn't sound convenient to everyone who likes to get everything in one location, but I live half a mile away and this place is super convenient for me! I drove all the way from the other side of Riverside because I received an email stating that they had the bounty paper towels on sale for $3.99 for a 12 roll at a savings of 84% off saving up to $21 while supplies last and when I got to the register they were ringing up full price so I showed the cashier the email. she called the store owner over and I asked him if he would honor the email and he said he needed to ask his wife, so the wife came out from the back and said she would not honor it even though it was a "mistake" on their end. Absolutely loved this place, the selection of products reminds me of a Smart & Final / Family Dollar / Costco. The produce section looked great, meat dept was fairly priced also. I noticed they had craft beer and wine to choose from! Some wines are refrigerated also. Staff was scattered throughout the store and the store was very very clean. The prices are great and they have a great selection of food. The reason for my 2 stars is because whenever I go, the employees are SO RUDE. They rush and bump you while carrying things, not even watching that you were there. You'll be trying to look at some items and they will be in the way standing there talking with one another. The cashiers are the worse, they gossip with one another. And didnt bag my groceries after I gave them my reusable bags. So I just did everything myself before I paid. As I was bagging my groceries, the cashier huffed with impatience because she was waiting for me to pay. I gave her the money and she huffed under her breath saying, "finally. I came here a few days ago for a couple items: assuming I could find normal items like chocolate chip cookies, fruit, and a vegetable tray. I couldn't find regular chocolate chip cookies, I had to settle for some strange cookies with M&Ms or Reese's Pieces inside them. Also, no vegetable tray. The blackberries I bought there weren't very fresh. I think I paid like $2 or $2.50 for them and then I saw them at another market for $.88.
