This is the closet grocery store we have to us sad to say. If you need produce just go elsewhere. The people stocking it will tell you Tom Thumb is down the road cause it's so bad. Since the store was given a new head manager this place has been nothing but trouble. Great products not in stock anymore making us shop other places for little things. Like I stated above the produce is horrible almost always smells weird or has mold on it. Yesterday I had to point out to an employee that all the raspberries had mold on them and sitting next to the blackberries I did not want to chance it. Looked on the other side with the strawberries and no surprise those were molded as well. The rest of the store I can only say has some young rude kids working. I asked a young gentleman with glasses where i could find something and he was looking in a magazine telling me "i dont know" i replied are you on break, he said no and walked off. If I could give a zero I would. You have no choice but to self ck items. My sister and I were splitting a large load for the holidays. I was purchasing a walker for my nephew and decided to ring it up and pay for that first before doing the groceries we were splitting. I put the receipt in my purse. We started ringing the groceries and a large brisket Wouldnt ring up so we called the Superviser. She couldn't get it and called someone else over. While telling him my problem I looked around to see the female Superviser scrolling the screen. She said you didn't pay for this pointing to the Walker. First off all I was still ringing up items so if I hadn't of paid for it I still could have been ringing it up last. She didn't even ask for a receipt or anything. Just advised me of not paying for it. I asked for a Mgr but they said no one was there at that time. It was a Saturday at 3:00 pm and no Mgr is there. Weird. I called customer service the following Monday and no one ever called me back. Horrible people. I've never been accused of that in my life and it was personally insulting since I had the receipt to prove I had already paid for it. All she had to do is ask me not accuse me of not doing so. I try as hard as possible to never go back to this Walmart or even try to go to a different store. I don't need this type of treatment while spending my hard earned money where they don't appreciate good customers. read more

I know that running a retail business during the holiday season is challenging but there's no excuse for all of the out-of-stocks and empty shelves that I've seen at this store on my last several visits. Employees don't seem to have any sense of urgency to their work--they actually appear to move in slow motion and don't seem to even notice customers around them. I've been shopping at this Walmart for about 3years,not after today. I'm stopped when leaving the store told to produce my receipt for what reason I don't know, this has never happened before. After looking through my bags the person at the exit points to the bag my receipt is in. I asked why are you doing this?I'm in a hurry. He stands and looks at my receipt for well over a minute and never looks to see or compare to the merchandise in my cart.I paid with a credit card, not like I'm not easy to identify. Worst Walmart I've been to. I wasn't able to find the item in the store I had seen online. Asked an employee if they knew where it was located. They just pointed at an aisle. Although I had already looked down that aisle I gave it another look. No luck. Asked another who turned his back to me and told me to download the app. I then asked the original employee again letting him know I was unable to find it in the aisle he pointed to. I am not the face mask sheriff. I don't know if they really help, and I don't like wearing them...but I do it because I'm erring on the side of caution, because our state has asked us to in an attempt to control the virus without forcing businesses to close again, and also out of respect for others and how they might feel about it. At the Roanoke Walmart, all of the employees have them on but many wear them only on their chin or over the mouth but not the nose. It's astonishing to me that they are not following the mandate or making an attempt to show customers they care. Poorly managed. Lines are always way to long with people standing around doing nothing. Shelves missing items for days before being restocked. And if you want to return something... haha better have plenty of time. And count your money!!! One time I go to return a item they give me the old it isn't listed for that price anymore. Got that settled not to bad. Another time I'm returning a item and the clerk a younger man counts out the wrong amount but says the right amount, while you can tell with his face he knew he messed up. He handed me the money anyways telling me it was the amount I was suppose to receive. I told him that wasn't correct and all of it. He said oh yeah I know, but the register is locked I'd have to get the manager to open it. Well you better get them over here. Trying to short me, I don't think so. read more

Rating is for Tire and Auto Center specifically. I had the oil changed in my car in April. After a few days, I noticed oil drips on my garage floor underneath where I park the car. I kept checking the oil level, but it remained slightly above the full line on dipstick. After about a week, I was still noticing oil drips and a full oil level. Perplexed, I crawled under the car and noticed a drop of oil hanging from drain plug. The technician who drained my oil did not tighten the drain plug. I was able to tighten it with my fingers. Of course, I did put a wrench on it and tighten it properly. My oil level never dropped below "add" because I think they normally overfill to "pad the charge." At my next visit to WalMart, I spoke with the Auto Center manager, Roberto. I explained what had happened with my last oil change, told him about the loose drain plug and suspected it was overfilled. He offered me a Gift Card for compensation, but I told him no harm was done and to just instruct his Techs to be more careful. Roberto then told me he would "take care of me" on my next visit and to just remind him of what had happened. I should have accepted the Gift Card. Fast forward to today. I was with my son when my son was getting an oil change. When my son dropped of his truck, the technician offered an upsell of a headlight restoration for $10. After waiting over 2 hours, my sons truck was ready. When it came time to pay, the charge for the headlights came to $25 and they overfilled the oil a 1/2 quart over auto manufacturers factory specs which added another $5 to the bill for the synthetic oil. Roberto was called. Roberto did "fix" the charge for the headlights and charged $10. However, as for the 1/2 quart extra oil, he said the he'd have to talk to his techs and mentioned something about the "Pennzoil" book. I did say that I think Toyota would know better than Pennzoil how much oil their product takes. "Padding the Bill" anybody? I reminded Roberto of my loose drain plug in April and that he'd "take care of me" on my next visit. He did say that he didn't "write it down" and he didn't remember me. He said he has a bad memory and writes things down. He basically called me liar and couldn't have cared less. Anyway, Roberto has cost WalMart an Auto Center customer. read more

Do Not order pick up from this store!! I saw they offer same day pick up now. I order 4 items for pick up. 2 big things of pull ups and some shampoo and conditioner . I figured it would be ready in an hour or two. 4 hours later I get an email that they are sold out of the pull ups in that size so it would be ready in 3 days! So I cancel those items (says I have to wait days for a refund) and place a new order for several sets of the smaller size pull ups and a few other items for pick up guaranteed by 8 (it was 1pm). Finally at 7:30 I decide I'm going up there as need to get dinner for the family and these items. I get there and they tell me my order still hasn't been "picked" so they cannot give me the items. Finally a manager tells me to go get the items myself and she would manually check me out (after laughing in my face that I was upset). I go and get the items and come back to find out the manager left the store. I go to customer service who tells me they cannot manually do that. This is the fourth person that I had explained what was going on. They tell me I needed to cancel the order online (wait days for a refund) and pay for these items again. I told them I've paid for the items and will be leaving with them. I think once they realized they didn't have an option they bagged up the items and I left. Was at the store for 45 mins. Worst part is that I picked up $75 in food for dinner right before and wife and kids were waiting in car the whole time as dinner got cold. Poorly managed store. When things are run this bad it comes from the top. The GM should be fired. read more

Bought my car for an oil change & tires. Should've know it was going to be bad when there are 4 guys, including the manager trying to change the hours of operations sign. Then the girl taking the oil change order says they don't carry my tire size... Ok, I still go forward. Walked & Shopped for 1 1/2, with no call from auto dept. Went back there to, find out they never did the oil change because they had no filter?!?! No phone call & Roberto the Manager just standing there. This is the 2nd crappy experience here. The Roanoke Wal-Mart really sucks. I picked up a prescription today at the location today, and because I was already there, I decided that the convenience of getting groceries without another stop would override my past crappy shopping experiences at the Roanoke Wal-Mart. Wishful thinking. The store is actually worse now because they are out of many everyday items and I'm going to have to go to another story anyway. The casher failed to ring up discounts and didn't take off for a coupon I gave her, but then told me that I'd have to go to customer service to get my money back. There was nothing she could do. Just moved to area and this was the first time, and probably last, at this Walmart. Have spent close to $800.00 these past few weeks replacing items I couldn't bring from our home out of state. I've been to 2 other Walmarts and all was great. However, tried to return a very unsatisfactory bakery item and, unfortunately, had the wrong receipt. Lady at the service desk told me I couldn't return it because the item was past the due date and to take it to the original Walmart from which I purchased it. Really? For $4.99, never mind! I only had one item to return and this was convenient. The due date was about 2 days from when I purchased it! Meanwhile I spent another $70 and the cashier didn't help put the packages in my cart. All my items were in bags left on the turn thing. A little courtesy goes a long way, and I didn't experience it here! But I think most Texans are very polite and helpful from what I've experienced. read more

This Roanoke, TX store is not well stocked with everyday things that I buy for my family. It has been this way for 7 years since we have lived in this area. I am sure they would have more business if you could count on them to be stocked up. They blame it on the higher ups at Walmart company that they are the ones that order things and never know what is going to be ordered. Also, the prices here are higher. I only come here to shop as a last resort because of Walmart's high grocery prices compared to WinCO and Aldie. read more

Given this walmart a 3 star is mire generous than I should be giving this place. I expect walmart to have its faults like minir things being changed ir cleaning routines. My issues with this Walmart are the placement of products. E.g. Why is there can goods next to the candy. Maybe they are making it into the hope you get better isle. Then all they need is cards for the chocolates and soups. The fruits and veggies are mixed up and not in ideal isle fir each thing. The best stocked items that are cheap are gone with no one restocking them correctly. A scale is broken with no replacements or saying that it is no good. The cashier did not know how to place items in bags. But the person was funny, positive, and patient. A lot of the employees working within the store complained and blamed their management instead of taking responsibility. I have learned that there is new management that started 5 months ago. I exoect him to mend the damage if the stores reputation to be satisfactory than a relevant store in town. XO read more

I love me some Walmart...especially Walmart Super Centers. This is a nice and pretty new location. They have just about everything you can ever need all under one roof. Food, clothes, pharmacy, automotive, tire & lube center, garden center, housewares, electronics, furniture, shoes, pet supplies, beauty supplies, beer & wine and more! They even have a gas station out in the front parking lot with excellent prices on fuel. read more

We were up there for the NASCAR races this past weekend and needed a few things. On our way to the track on Saturday we saw this Walmart and stopped in on our way back to our hotel. I have to say this might be the best Walmart I have ever been in. Their shelves were very well stocked including items we could not find in ours here in Houston. The staff was wonderful, the place was spotless & even the shoppers were not your typical Walmart crew. If it was not a 4+ hour drive this would be our go-to Walmart. read more

I can't believe that a 24 hour store closes customer service at 8pm. I found out that after 8pm a person cannot exchange a car battery that is under warranty after this time and until customer service or the tire shop opens. Apparently this is Texas law that they just passed. So had to pay full price and going back tomorrow to get the warranty covered on the old one. Wish me luck.... read more

I'm giving one star because they are ok. This is the second time and the second walmart I have been to get paint and the service is absolutely horrible. I waited for help the first time for 20 minutes. Someone said they would get help but nobody came. The second time I had to walk around the store and find someone that can mix paint. The lady that was there before us was waiting for 30 minutes. Now they are sold out of paint and so we can't even buy it now. Because of this I will never use walmart. I hope someone important will read this and realize they need to seriously consider changing what they do. read more

Their customer service lies somewhere between dismal and why bother. The shelves are often empty and if you're lucky enough to find an employee lurking around, chances are it's not their department and all you get is a nod and blank stare when asked if they are going to restock anytime soon. I find it difficult to walk in the front door and not gag as their produce is generally spoiled and swarming with gnats. You get what you pay for here, cheap prices and cold shoulders but with a corporation that treats their employees like indentured servents I guess you can't expect them to love what they do. If you do luck out and find what you need and shop on off peek hours when the lines aren't ten people stacked I suppose your visit would be no less painful than any other shopping experience however those chances are slim. I like going to one store, finding what I need without having to shop around and I want to be paid a certain amount of respect, you just won't find that here. read more

So I just drove in from Houston my drive started at 11 o'clock pm yesterday and I just arrived here as of 11 o'clock this morning I stop by Walmart because a zip tie underneath my car broke off and I need to replace it Walmart is good for everything if you can't find it you'll find it at Walmart so I drove the extra few miles I still haven't slept after driving 12 hours in fog and Rain to get here stopping occasionally when it gets too thick to drive I go to the auto parts section to hunt for windshield wiper cleaner and a small bag of zip ties I find a bag of 50 zip ties and I literally only need one so I go to the automotive desk and I asked a lady there who happens to be the department manager if they had a smaller bag and she goes without even really looking at me or at looking at me at all and says flatly no, doesn't even offer an alternative means of finding them, and I explained that I only need just a couple really just one or two I look down and LO AND BEHOLD, there's an unused open bag right in front of her. If it had been a snake it would have bit her. I ask what about that bag right there she goes that's our bag rudely. Mind she was EXTRA NICE to the guy asking about tires helping him by going into the system and showing him options. Mind you it's an old used beat-up bag that has six zip ties in it one of which I need and I'm willing to pay for the 6 zip ties I said well can I have that bag she goes no I can't even create a barcode for it. Politely I said okay thank you and turned to walk away she said as I was walking away I could go check Hardware they might have something for me so I go wander around I find hardware and there's nothing there but adhesive which I appreciate but I don't need it I need a zip tie so I go to the front counter explain to Ms. Comfort the checker that I need a customer service supervisor one walks over and explain to her my story and she's very nice she listens and said that she'll speak to the manager over there after I described my experience of lackluster service. I describe her as a taller woman with glasses Caucasian she said possibly her name was BREE that was a department manager I explained to her that it wasn't going to hurt to give me one or two from a billion-dollar Corporation it also wasn't going to hurt to create a barcode which is completely possible in Walmart to create a barcode for sale you were still going to make money off the sale she agreed we shared a laugh and I walked out without he ZIP ties this is not how we make America great again by not supporting one another as Citizens read more
