I visited this location early Tuesday morning, and it was divine! I know, sounds crazy; however, I almost had the aisles to myself! My daughter and I wanted to gander through and we got to, finding a few things extra than what was on our list. There are a lot of great brands here, including Pioneer Woman. I should have taken pictures to showcase these beautiful pieces. Christmas stuff was starting to be set out! So magical to me. This store is horrible. I give them 1 Star, only because I can't give 0 and still leave a review. Poorly managed, dirty, messy and customer service that is almost non-existent. Show up at 7pm to get a prescription and I'm told they are already closed. How is a person supposed to get home from work and get their meds. As Walmarts age, it seems management becomes ambivalent. This store seems to be aging faster than most. I find employees here routinely not wearing masks despite enforcement when entering. Shelves remain empty and selection poor. The store is dirty and carts aren't being wiped down. They lock one of the exits early without warning. Employees literally watched customers walking toward the locked exit and said nothing. Employees routinely just sit around. They'll stare at you and not even acknowledge you. read more

I've been shopping at this location for almost 2 years you know I've only been greeted twice by an associate. Javier and Carie are the only two that have ever spoken to me in your store. Today Carie happened to say hello and I was so grateful for it I thanked her as a customer now that's sad. Now, bet you're wondering why I'm writing a negative review even with that interaction. I made my purchase got cash back and it gave me a much of $5 bills. I just didn't want that type of change and you had 5 associates standing there not doing anything so I asked them to change it for larger bills. This is the worse run Walmart I've ever been to. No customer service at all. The people that work pick up are just beyond help and so rude. Honestly, the best ones are the kids in high school. Just ONE example, one time I ordered oatmeal cookies, they substituted them with peanut butter. The people picking up the phone for curb side are the worse with horrible attitudes. Andres or Andy (as he introduced himself as I was walking out) is a greeter at the door. On my way into Walmart he looked me right in the eyes said hello and then observed that I am a father. He welcomed me with a kind smile and told me happy Father's Day as i passed by. It's greeters like him that make one feel seen and welcomed. People like him make me choose a store like this over other ones regardless of corporate size. If they get more people like him, they'll keep my business whether they need it or not. read more

Went to pick up item shown in stock on web site. Item listed on sale and was a good price. Got there and found 4 in stock but blocked off. Asked an associate to obtain the item. Told it was being held for special event. Told them I was there because of special event pricing, but still would not get item. Asked for manager and she proceeds to tell me being held for special event and would not sell. When I told her your web site shows inventory available she said not responsible for stores inventory. So guess Walmart managers have no responsibility to provide customer service or correct on line inventories to prevent customers from driving to store only to be told will not sell to me. The worst , incompetent staff ever. The pharmacist handed me over the wrong medication after he miscalculated the cost, amount, date to be dispensed and finally the wrong mes. It took hours to sort out who the F they gave my RX to and to give back the wrong mes they gave me to be given back to the rightful patient( while violating HIPPA ) mind you. I will NEVER EVER EVER GO BACK TO THESE DAFTS ever. read more

This is the closet grocery store we have to us sad to say. If you need produce just go elsewhere. The people stocking it will tell you Tom Thumb is down the road cause it's so bad. Since the store was given a new head manager this place has been nothing but trouble. Great products not in stock anymore making us shop other places for little things. Like I stated above the produce is horrible almost always smells weird or has mold on it. Yesterday I had to point out to an employee that all the raspberries had mold on them and sitting next to the blackberries I did not want to chance it. Looked on the other side with the strawberries and no surprise those were molded as well. The rest of the store I can only say has some young rude kids working. I asked a young gentleman with glasses where i could find something and he was looking in a magazine telling me "i dont know" i replied are you on break, he said no and walked off. Seriously?!... How is this acceptable. I have noticed over the past couple of months that the shelves are empty and nothing seems to be in stock, or at least put out. I thought maybe this was a me problem until I saw it posted in the neighborhood Facebook group and my family mentioning it. This is now an every visit thing, nothing seems to be stocked even on not busy days. Worst Walmart I've ever been to. No actual checkout lanes, only self-checkout now. Very few staff available... it seems a new cost-cutting strategy and yet the prices are higher than competitors (Target, grocery stores, etc). Self-checkout hand scanners didn't work. Prices didn't match labels on the aisles so cost per item was higher when I rang it up than what I expected based on what it said under the items when I grabbed off the shelf. I've meant to write a review about this Walmart now multiple times and I kept forgetting, but this time it was so bad that I went to my car and immediately began writing this. Avoid this Walmart! Go to target, or Kroger, or even Trader Joe's down the road for Pete's sake! You'll get better deals, better service, better ambience/lighting, and someone will actually help you check out. read more

Wal-Mart Went to this Walmart 3/26/20 for salads and girl stocking shelves by automotive congested and coughing. REALLY, no one wears gloves so even in an emergency I won't be back!! Stupid, dumb ass Wal- Mart in Roanoke. First they try to kill me by over dosing me in thyroid medication 3 times what I was supposed to be taking and then they try to tear up my engine. I got my oil changed there on 10/6/2019. I'm driving it yesterday and it tells me that the oil is below the minimum amount and I need to quit driving it or I will cause engine damage. So I see the AAC just up the road and go in. They tell me my skid plate is full of oil and doing its job so it's not all over my drive but looks like Wal-Mart used the wrong plug as well as didn't tighten it. He said he couldn't touch it as for liability they would assume it then but he could put some oil in it and tighten it. What incompetent, useless employees that have no idea what they are doing or how to do it. After bringing it to their main office attention again. If it wasn't for the driving equipment/safe guards BMW uses I would have torn up my engine but I got the massage to stop driving it. I did and was almost out of oil. BMW has a large plate in that area so I never saw any oil. I made them pay for the new part, a wash, a fill up and an oil change at AAC and the manager was extremely rude. Told me as I went somewhere else to have it fixed it was then their liability if I had any permanent damage to my car. I will NEVER, EVER LET WALMART TOUCH ANY VEHICLE OF MINE AGAIN!!! Was checking out today and hit the cash back button for $20.00. Immediately got distracted by my Step Daughter and granddaughter as they were hitting the bank. Needless to say I walked away and forgot that$20.00. About an hour later my wife said "you need to call them and see if it got turned in. I laughed but called them. Turns out an employ found it and turned it in. They asked me if I had a receipt, which I did. Drove back up there and after they reviewed security camera's and my receipt I walked out with my $20.00. My wife and I visited the Walmart today. Many of the customers were not wearing masks, at all and many had them below their noses. Also, some associates had masks below their nose. I asked two associates about the Walmart policy and both told me they can not enforce mask wearing. This is contrary to the signs that are hanging on the building. The signs say masks worn properly, are required!!! This is contrary to the understanding that the associates and the customers have. I understand that no one likes wearing masks, but it is for the good of the population. If Walmart is not going to enforce their own policy (according to the signage), the signs should be removed. read more

After ordering the wrong set of tires for my vehicle TWICE (they wouldn't order for me or tell me the right tires to order), they berated me and laughed about me behind my back. Returning to Florida, I needed work on front end balance of car. Went to auto section. I had a setback with with tire lug key but they were patient and offered alternatives. Eventually found the key. Kevin, Terri, and Bubbah were great. They were understanding, quick, efficient and most helpful. Needing help from far away from home can be nerve wracking. read more

Sandy, an employee of Walmart at the self checkout lanes, said that I'm a cracker, and white boy. Because their hand scanners wouldn't work and was confirmed by another employee. She specifically came to check my items that I had already scanned and when I told her I had already scanned them, her comment was, "you white people think you have special privileges and will walk out without paying if the scanner isn't working." Then picks up my bags out of my basket full of things I had scanned AND already paid for, prints a second receipt and starts double checking all of my items. When it turned out she was wrong and all of my items had been paid for is when she called me a white boy and called "us crackers" privileged. Disgusting. I chose a "Not Good" rating only because there isnt an "Absolutely Horrible" rating. Do yourself a favor and don't bother trying to use the pharmacy at this Walmart. The "pharmacists", and I use the term loosely, never have prescriptions ready on time and constantly 2nd guess your physician. They've done that with 3 of my last 5 prescriptions. The latest happened today. I had an emergency tooth extraction due to an abcess and they wouldn't fill it until they could contact the Doctor ... who had fit me in just before leaving town Tuesday through the New Year weekend. They can't reach him, they won't fill the prescription and that won't transfer the script out to another pharmacy. Basically "too bad, sorry for your pain but screw you anyway". Ok, so what I like Walmart. They have really good prices and you get what you pay for at a great value. I did most of my Thanksgiving shopping at Walmart and got out with less than $150. Not bad! The main purpose of this review is for the photo center. Again you get what you pay for and more with the Walmart Photo Center. 4x6 photos are just .09 cents. I created an account online and uploaded the images that I wanted to have printed, placed my order, paid for it and they were ready in an hour. They send you an email when it is ready. They have all kinds of features that allow you to change your images so you can customize the look and feel. My camera is WIFI enabled and has a feature to automatically upload images to the Walmart Photo Center so that makes it easy to select the photos I want to print. The price and quality of the photos is great so this is a win/win situation. I don't know about you but with everything being digital these days Walmart makes it affordable to print out images to share with others. Know that if you are having photos printed that were shot by a professional photographer you will need a letter allowing you to print them out. Love the Photo Center... read more

All Walmart's age bad but damn. There's nothing on the shelves. No one cleans the carts. Some guy was handing out masks for 8 seconds and then disappeared. No one enforced masks so people just cough and sneeze on everything. The checkouts are atrocious. No one wipes off anything. The lines are stupid slow. It's like they only hired zombies to work and quit in the same week. No water, no tissue, no soda, no juice, no beans, no cake mix--good grief! Hand sanitizer is tucked away in the back on a secret shelf, on and do you need it! The bathrooms were so bad, I had to pinch myself from this nightmare. You risk getting a UTI just being in there.
