For the past week everytime i go to this location they are closed. Im going at 5pm cause i get off work at 4:30pm after starting my work day at 4am. Ive about had it with walmart. Target is open till 10pm even if there a protest going on at 3pm on a monday. Heres my biggest thought though. Today is a friday 06/05/2020 i get to the store at 5:18pm to be told as im walking to the door. "We're closed" i ask why, they said "corporate called and told us to close at 5pm" they have said that to me four times this week since monday 06/01/2020. I called corporate after leaving the store that i was about to drop $400+ at. Corporate says the only day they have called that store and asked them to close early was on that said monday earlier in the review. This walmart is piss poor stupid. I come here a few times a week, I'm always welcomed at the door and offered help by employee as I browse the shelfs. This is a very busy location and the workers do a great job keeping the store clean. read more

As far as selection etc goes it's Walmart. Lots of stuff, pretty well stocked, produce is generally fresh, meat is fine as far as I've seen, well lit, pretty clean except the entry which is always kind of trashy from people dragging in rain, snow and so on. This Walmart suffers from the trouble of having terrible workers. They are rude, couldn't care less about your questions, never smile, blast vulgar music as they walk around, wear ear buds and walk around texting and act mad that they walk into you when they decide to look up, if they don't have an answer they just walk away. I had good service in electronics and house wares, horrible service in grocery and elsewhere except one guy who went bonkers making sure I was taken care of at 1:30 am. I asked for quarters at the check out and the checker said she'd need a manager and then went on to the next person, when I asked again she acted like I had asked if it was ok for me to eat babies; then still didn't get a manager for a roll if quarters but said I could get them at customer service. Ok. Wait in line there at returns because no one was at service just to be told they only do returns- ok, where is some one at service? This is also service. This is Bull Ssss. I worked at a Walmart in Colorado and I had fun there and liked helping people, talking to them and making sure they were taken care of, if you don't like to do that then don't work in the service industry. If Walmart wants people to come back (other than they are the only game in town) they need to clean house and whoop some shape into these clowns. read more

The main problem with this Walmart is that the management is obviously poor. The womens' bathroom is always dirty, especially the floors. Do they not have an electric scrubber? I feel there are many nice employees, but there are also many who are poorly trained and sometimes rude and unhelpful. It is up to the managers to get out on the floor and walk around the store to evaluate what is going on, but I never see one. Better training is needed. Also, when you are a company that offers poor salaries and benefits, you attract some employees who don't care or have pride in the work they do. There are often long lines due to too few checkers. The O'Fallon and Wentzville Walmarts are much nicer, and I now avoid this one when possible. Shame on this company. read more

I placed an order that was to be ready for pick-up on 2/1/2017. On 2/4/2017, I contacted the store to find out the tracking information of my order. I was told the item was lost and it would be re-ordered. Hence, I never got a confirmation. I contacted customer care again and had a message from Mary A and was told the original item was lost and there was not a replacement ordered. I asked to be contacted again. It has been 3 days since and I had to cancel the order. Horrible service, I was able to find the item needed on Amazon and it was cheaper with expedited delivery. read more

7QB138DKRSP 01161 4:04 pm 02/04/21 the young short African American woman at Customer Service refused to return 3 pieces of clothing (2 with tags and one without tags) because she has never seen an Illinois Drivers License before (her exact words)... She withheld my documents after I requested she return them three times. (Obviously she's not a federal agent and did not have a warrant so she had no basis to seize my property--sensitive and personal data--an temporary Illinois Drivers.) She told me that I needed to go to Illinois to get a refund... I told her I would give her Missouri identification. During this discriminating and harassing encounter the manager appeared and agreed with the CSR and she asked me to leave... I'm guilty of recapping the encounter--"she can't comprehend an Illinois license" which is the same thing the CSR said... I asked for a manager. The short, heavy-set, older African American woman said she's the manager and she refused to help me because she didn't like me... how do I know this? I asked her to call the police--if I had done something wrong and she had some legal grounds to refuse me service then, call them... so, as we stood there I was able to tell the manager that I had other documents wrapped in that piece of paper and I had asked the other woman to return them three times in which she refused... there was a really long line forming as my husband and I stood there being humiliated over a sweatshirt that was a gift bought in Alabama! Finally the manager refunded two items of clothes and told us to throw the other one away... then my husband threw the Terra & Sky blue jeans in the trash & we spent another $141 in the store... because we spend thousands of dollars in Walmart throughout the nation each year... this was unacceptable, illegal and I'm quite sure I have a discrimination lawsuit... I don't have to give my drivers license to vote so, when Walmart asks for a drivers license to return a sweat shirt & leggings--it's discrimination... it's discrimination against immigrants which we are, black people which we are, and poor people... read more

Be careful with anything you buy here and inspect it before you buy it. Countless times I've seen them put things back on shelves that have been used (USED baby teethers with scotch tape holding the package together slapped on clearance, bibs with baby food on them). Don't even bother buying makeup here, the cashiers treat you like a criminal and follow you through the aisles and rudely force you with an attitude to buy makeup in that aisle, and stick their nose in your cart to inspect if makeup is in your cart. At night the makeup aisle is blocked off to where you can't get makeup at all, changing rooms closed, and 1 cashier if you're lucky (if you're shopping for WIC at midnight, good luck). Staff is rude and directs to to another person or to find items yourself. If I could give this Walmart 0 stars, I would. This place is filthy and puts unsanitary items back on shelves, with very little customer service. read more

I got scammed by a dishonest cashier. I bought two pre-paid phone cards and took them to the cash register. One scanned perfectly, but for some reason the other didn't. The young cashier was completely clueless as to how to process them. After much consternation and calling over a manager, I paid for the cards, and was given the one that had the "problem". When I got home I was not able to get the pin number to work. I took it back to Walmart and was told that it wasn't the card on my receipt. NO REFUND, sorry. The cashier gave me another card during the transaction. I will never go to this Walmart again. Too many ghetto and trailer park people as well. read more

I was completely baffled to have two employees who were having their own conversation ignore me TWICE when I was trying to tell them about a spill I found in an aisle I was walking in. It appeared someone had dropped some sort of liquid on the floor in the outdoor goods aisle and I thought it would be a good idea to tell someone, as someone could fall and not only hurt themselves, but also sue Walmart (so honestly, I was trying to help you guys out too). So I approached the two employees and they looked up at me but continued their conversation, and I said, "excuse me, but I just wanted to let you know there's a spill over in that aisle." And they literally didn't say a word when it was extremely obvious they heard me. I looked at my fiancé in disbelief- he was blown away at this as well. I looked at them again and tried to tell them a second time- same thing, totally ignored. From someone who has worked customer service their whole career, I couldn't believe this. Finally, I just walked away and hoped for the best for them. I finished my shopping at the front check out and wasn't surprised to find that worker crabby too. I get it- work sucks, but you have to realize that your attitude directly affects your customer's day and experience. read more

This Walmart is one of the nicest Walmart's in the St. Louis area. It is always clean and organized. Very friendly employees.

Only gave it 3 stars due to the lack of Customer service. So many registers closed it takes forever to check out.

today was my last trip to the walmart on veterans memorial parkway..i have shopped there since they opened it...BUT..my last 3 trips were such a disappointment that i will not go there again..what i had always liked about that store..was "one-stop shopping"..i could go to one store with my whole list and get everything at once and not have to run hither, thither and yon..less then 2 weeks ago..my neighbor, who doesnt drive, asked me to take her to walmart ,she needed laundry baskets..we get to that section and all there is, is mostly empty shelves..there were about 2 rolling hampers and 1 round origami springy type thing...no baskets..so i found a worker and asked where are the laundry baskets?..right here he says..and walks right back to the empty shelves..oops there are none..he put some kind of shelf label reader on the shelf tags..there arent even any in the warehouse....we left with no baskets..wasted gas on no baskets...my second disappointment was saturday..my fault i guess...maybe...i was so low on the product NO-SALT ..which i HAVE to use for my husband..that i figured i best run over and get some before i started cooking..i went to the shelf....the slot was empty..none..i found a group of walmart trainers or something..and asked if they could show me where the salt substitute is located..and they walked me right back to the empty shelf..they used that shelf reader and said there wasnt any here or in the warehouse..well i had to have it..so i went to schnunks and bought it...but if ireally wanted to go to many stores..i wouldnt have planned on going to walmart..today on my list was 2 things i forgot to get on saturday..i needed a travel bag and my husband was low on vodka..i got the bag..but when i went to buy the vodka..all there was..was about 3 empty shelves about 4 to 5 foot wide of empty space..that was the last straw for me..i went to the front and asked for a manager..he told me that walmart was no longer going to be selling the vodka i have bought there ..forever....i told him i wont be back..i cant count on being able to buy what i come into this store to get..and i will no longer be coming in and im leaving and going to target..i pushed the cart that had the travel bag back into the store and walked out..i was a little "pissy"..but that is the 3rd time....THE 3RD TIME..i have walked into that store and left without what i went after in less the a week and a half...IM DONE read more

My girlfriend and I went to this Walmart to purchase a voice recorder. There were two models we considered and an associate from electronics was very helpful and suggested the one we purchased. After going home and trying to use the recorder, we discovered that the one in the box was the cheaper model and that someone had switched the boxes the recorders came in.The next morning we tried to exchange the one we received for the one we paid for. The person at returns was very rude and asked why we had not noticed that the wrong recorder was in the box and acted as though we had done the switching. Management was called and we were still treated rudely and with suspicion. I work in retail and realize that theft is rampant, but we are not thieves and don't appreciate being treated as such. There were no more of the recorders in stock so we wanted a refund, but they would only give us store credit even though we had the receipt for a purchase made less than 24 hours earlier. Needless to say, the store credit will not be used at this store. read more
