Went here with my daughter for a change of scenery work space. It's a nice working spot where you can also grab a drink and a bite to eat . They have several different seating areas. There's self serve water set out. I enjoyed a hot turtle latte, grilled cheese sandwich with chips and tomato soup. Everything was great. We had good service and everyone was friendly and helpful. There are plugs for your laptop and an extension cord too. It's a great spot to work or meet a friend. read more

Adorable popular shop to hangout in and get some work done. The atmosphere is great; quotes carved in wood, homemade flavored sugars on shelves, kind service and great coffee. I got the cold brew with sweet cream and it was excellent. It wasn't too much cream or too sweet but the addition made my coffee taste like a decadent dessert. Highly recommend! read more

Stopped here in the middle of meetings out in St. Charles and it's such a cute vibe. It has a library/ artsy feel inside with great coffee and food options. I sat on the patio and got some work done, WiFi was great and it felt like a comfy space to be productive. It's in the Streets of St, Charles (highly developing area) and a great spot to grab some caffeine after lunch or shopping. Lots of parking towards the back of the center and some spots in front of the store! read more

My husband and I went to Picasso coffee after a personal recommendation and it did not disappoint! We accidentally went on a live music night which was a very pleasant surprise. Really created a warm and thoughtful ambiance as a whole. The berry pop tart and dinner sandwiches were delicious. The workers was accommodating to my drink requests and was willing to make my Italian soda into a French soda even though that's not on the menu. Overall would definitely come back, good vibes and I think a nice study space and has long hours. read more

This is a rather nice coffee shop. I came here to meet a friend, and it's honestly a great place to grab some coffee and chill. I ordered a soy latte with an extra shot, and I was happy the price was decent. More to the point, the latte was excellent. The staff was very nice and not snotty or anything, which I've dealt with so many employees at coffee shots who were super pretentious. Here, everyone was very nice and accommodating. There's many tables, not to mention ample space to sit for awhile. I wish there would've been more smaller tables and seats for two people, but it's a decent amount for a smaller area. All in all, this is a nice place to have coffee and visit with friends. I didn't try any food, but everything looked super good! read more

The highlight at this location are the staff! I have had many lovely interactions with them. They have offered to walk my large order out to my car in the rain. They really are so kind and friendly! I appreciate that they have longer hours than some of the other spots locally as well. It's a great place and I will continue to come back! read more

Had a great cappuccino, blended mocha, and dense moist slice of carrot cake. This is just around the corner from the Drury Plaza, where we were staying. It's a pleasant space with outdoor tables for a nice day. We'll probably be back during our stay. read more

This is my second visit to this location and I must say the first time was better than the second. I was in the mood for a smoothie and wanted to try a different flavor. I ordered the Picasso Peach recommendation from staff. Flavoring was fine but consistency was awful. It was not thick at all. It was more so of a juice. A cold foamy liquid mess. For $6.54 I would have liked thick heavy and cold. It was not worth me making a scene so I took one for the team . On a positive note the staff was friendly and welcoming and that is where the star came in . I'm not sure if I'll come back , but we shall see. read more

Came for breakfast. Left confused. Pepper sandwich had so many eggs it barely tasted of peppers. Fairly bland as well. A bit of black pepper would have gone a long way...Hard to understand the hype. read more

What a fun find!! This coffee shop boasts a full breakfast menu with superior coffee choices. The staff is friendly and helpful with excellent knowledge about the menu choices. I was able to find a vegetarian breakfast burrito that was filling without leaving be with that heavy feeling of a greasy breakfast. I loved the eclectic interior design. Historic St. Charles is home to so many fun cafes, boutiques, and ice cream shops I could spend the whole day wandering the brick paved Main Street. One of my favorite plant shops in just down the street from this cafe and I often grab breakfast here to rationalize the lengthy drive. Definitely worth a stop!! read more

I think I found my new favorite coffee spot :) The taste of their cold brew was unique, tasted like a hint of blueberry or chocolate..something sweet about it. I love Picasso's! It is an STL classic. I have been here several times and I finally tried their matcha latte. I have had bad matcha in the past that just tastes like milk but this latte was actually strong and delicious! There was a super long line but it moved quickly and we were able to get our drinks within a few minutes. I definitely want to bring my laptop up here and work as the space has a very chill and relaxing vibe. read more

This place is amazing- locally roasted, great menu with crafted coffee that's easy to grab on my way into work. Always a warm atmosphere with an inviting space. Lots of great options including my personal favorite the lavender mocha with oat milk! Yum! Recommend popping over for an after dinner coffee after eating in streets of St Charles. Sometimes they have live music going. It's rarely very busy in the evenings. I always grab a chai tea which I love there. Much more open than the main street location. read more

I had to pop in here for an espresso since it is so well regarded in St Charles. They roast their own coffee and I am here so let's try it! Now, to the espresso! McKenzie kindly helped me at the counter and I said I wanted to try an espresso since it was my first time there. No sugar. No cream. Just espresso! It came with a nice thick dark brown crema and the aroma was pure coffee. I have to say my first taste sensation of this dark roast was a little sour but then the aftertaste was sweet. Interesting sensations! It wasn't my favorite espresso but I enjoyed the experience! We were also a little hungry so we got a panini and some squash soup. My wife really enjoyed the soup and I tried it. Very nice and smooth. My panini was pretty tasty and came with coleslaw or chips so we got the coleslaw. It was well made and tasty but not remarkable. My wife also got the Aztec chocolate drink and enjoyed it very much! Life is good with unique locally roasted coffee! read more

I Love Picasso's. Whenever I am in town, it is on the list of places I really want to get to. However, today's experience was downright rude and disappointing. My wife and I made a quick run for an afternoon snack and just a little one on one connect time. Walk in (just before 3...had no idea that was their closing time) and the display case is empty. I comment and ask why is it empty? We are told they still have product. So, we each order a cinnamon roll and drinks. Sit down next to the fireplace to enjoy our afternoon snack and they start locking doors and turning things off. We are handed our drinks in paper cups and cinnamon rolls are wadded up in a piece of paper. So, $20 and less than 5 minutes later we are told that we need to leave, so we left with our order in hand. And YES, they got a tip....before we knew they were tossing us out. Carried everything to the car, drove home where I could have just as easily had a nice pour over. Now, IF someone informed us they were closing while we were ordering, it would have been fine. I'd have just had a coffee and been on my merry way. Ok, my rant is over. I will be back, although Upshot is starting to move up in the pecking order..... read more

Whenever I travel, my goal is to find at least one coffee shop that can't be found back home. We found this place while looking for another coffee shop (that seemed to be nonexistent). My wife and I went to Picasso's Coffee house today to grab a cup of coffee this morning. We like going here. The place was packed but we were serviced within 3-4 minutes of placing our order. The Coffee is good and we both got a venti cup of the house brew, which was a pecan bourbon flavor today. Service is good and is a nice friendly atmosphere. Met my BFF for coffee at Picasso's on Beale. Mid-morning, weekday, and the place was nicely hopping with a variety of folks, a couple with laptops, but most chatting with friends. The beverage choices were plentiful, from smoothies to hot and cold coffee-type drinks. I wish they would put their drink choices (or the basics plus calorie counts) on their website; all I could find was their food menu which says it includes pastries from (the amazing) LaBonne Bouchée. We came for the coffee and were not disappointed. I ordered a Caramel Latte, grande, and my BFF got a Milky Way with chocolate, caramel, and vanilla (I think?). The grandes were served in luxuriously heavy cups and saucers filled TO THE BRIM. They look gorgeous and taste even better. There is a table with to-go stirrers, sweeteners, including honey and Stevia (I know, right!). But if you're staying, you get an adorable little metal stirring spoon that just feels fun. I'm definitely going back because the experience was relaxing and pleasant. Anyone can drive through and pay for an expensive cup of coffee. Having a delicious drink that warms your hands and your heart while spending time with a dear friend is so much more fulfilling. There's plenty of parking within less than a block's walk, too. There's a parking garage and a parking lot if the street parking is full. read more

We passed by this coffee house on our way to dinner and decided to stop in before we headed back home. I'm so glad we did! I love the atmosphere here. Unbelievably good. Such a great coffee shop in the best little area. We stayed here for the weekend and had a ton of time to try out all of the drinks at Picasso's. My favorite was the Milky Way coffee with oat milk. The inside is great but there is also outdoor seating. Centrally located within the plaza and the staff could not be nicer. I decided I needed a caffeine pick me up so stopped in around lunchtime. I ordered a small cold brew - black. The coffee was delicious. No bitter aftertaste. We came here for breakfast this morning. The food was good and was fresh. Service was also great. We both got coffees and the coffee they just tasted off. They even remade my vanilla latte but it still just tasted off. Would go back for the breakfast burrito. Egg and pepper sandwich wasn't as good as the burrito but would be better with some sauce. Came here looking for a coffee place and a place that took Apple Pay as I lost my wallet. Greeted by super friendly staff. Plus is they have sugar free flavorings besides vanilla. NITRO COLD BREW ON TAP! Reminds me of Guiness. Having this just makes this place 95% more better. Picasso is the only place in St. Charles, that I know of, that carries NITRO COLD BREW on tap! I get excited just watching it pour and watching the dark coloration swirl around in the glass! YUMMMMM! Bold, smooth, and silky! They serve: * Espresso * Coffee * Mocha masterpieces * Frappe * coffee alternatives (hot chocolate, chai latte, italian soda, etc) * Wine * Pastries * Smoothies (with greek yogurt and real fruits/veggies) ***They also have some great liquors to taste better with your coffee*** Friendly staff! Space is clean and decorative! Separate Men and Women restrooms! No phone connection, but they do have WIFI ! It can just be my phone or my carrier too so don't count me on this. As the weekend special, I got the eggs benedict. The eggs were perfectly poached and muffin was toasted well, but I wasn't too into the hollandaise sauce and the hidden citrus flavor. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't the eggs benedict I was looking for. read more

I had a little work to do this weekend, and I found myself craving a new latte and Picasso's Coffee House seem to be a good match with their menu and independent coffee house vibe. Interiors - The space is essentially one large room; a single shotgun tenant space in a mixed used development site. The decor isn't excessive, or cluttered. Artwork hangs on the walls, and international objects are scattered across the space. Seating is mostly provided in the form of tables and chairs, with exception of a gathering and fireplace area, and bar-height seats and counter facing out along the storefront. I wouldn't say there is any cozy nooks to claim for those days you want to crank away on studying or posting to your blog, if you're the "crank away on studying or posting to your blog at the coffee house" type. Counter Service - For starters, I couldn't find a coffee menu anywhere online.. is it just me? I only relied on Yelp photos for confirmation that Picasso's had coffee and lattes, let alone flavored. When I arrived and ordered, staff was kind and patient. I asked for flavors, and she listed a handful, from which I debated over Vanilla or Lavender. Vanilla Latte - Comes in 12 or 16 ounces, complete with the latte art you'd expect. Thick, rich, and creamy, and the coffee's roasting was noticeable and well-balanced. WiFi - I was having issues logging onto their guest WiFi, and when I brought it up to the staff they were accommodating and quick to resolve the issue. Overall cool, relaxed, and unique coffee house. This would be a fun place to be a regular at. I hope to be back soon to try one of their Mocha Masterpieces. read more

I'd suggest that people were there to visit downtown St. Charles, or whatever it's called, which has a certain old-timey charm to it, but everything else was closed--presumably until later in the day, but who knows. That fentanyl is a menace. Parking could be a pain, if it's not the wee hours of the morning on a weekend, and you're not ambulatory enough to walk from a block or two over, and yet you're going to get essentially the equivalent of a milkshake and a donut. Inside is rustic, inviting and larger than you'd think, with an upstairs area that I didn't bother to explore, due to lack of curiosity. We had a larger group and ended up pushing a few smaller tables together, plus a few chairs we borrowed from other tables. No one seemed to mind. The key is not to ask first. That mentality will take you far in both the world of finance and dating. I'm kind of over ordering food from coffee shops, where they're obviously just throwing something in the microwave and charging you $10 for it, but I needed something to eat. I'd just gone for a run. Their burrito looked like the textbook definition of cultural appropriation, but it also looked like it might not be half bad. I had their equivalent of an Egg McMuffin, called Ron's Breakfast Sandwich, or something to that effect. When I hear the name Ron, I of course think of Sasso from Carlito's Way, but that probably says more about me than anything else. I'm assuming he didn't have anything to do with this. Essentially, this was a store-bought English muffin, a surprisingly generous and delicious helping of cheddar cheese, a few slices of seemingly prepackaged black forest ham and a fried egg. It was fine for what it was. Could the egg have been salted, could the muffin have been buttered and could the ham been an actual slice of Canadian bacon, or even better, American bacon? Sure, but I went into this with low expectations. The cheddar was melty and delicious, and weirdly abundant, but processed American cheese would have been more fitting for this kind of sandwich. You'd think a guy named Ron wouldn't object to processed foods. The caramel frappe I had was amazing. I got it with whole milk and whipped cream. I didn't bother to check and see if they charge you extra for whipped cream, which is the kind of crap some of these places have been known to pull. I got the 16 oz instead of the 20 oz, but it was probably still enough to take a day off the end of my life (when I don't need it as much anyway fwiw). Sometimes, when a food item tastes good enough, you can just tell it's not good for you, and that was the case with this drink. It was decidedly rich. I'm never in this part of town, and if I were, it would be at night, natch, but if things ever get to the point where they're clearly trending in that direction, I might start stopping by on the reg and getting that caramel frappe just to speed along the process of my demise.
