I came here to get some coffee for a friend and I to go. The place was very busy for a Wednesday morning. I got a pistachio latte hot and I got an iced matcha with vanilla for my friend. To eat I got a mocha nut muffin that was delicious! My pistachio latte was really good and it had a variety of flavors which I liked. The lady that took my order got my friends order mixed up and gave me a chai instead of matcha but she made it right. The only down side is the parking lot is not very big so if they're busy, like when I went, you might have to park in the lower lot or across the street.

Admittedly, I have just recently become a peruser of coffee shops, but crooked tree is actually a spot I have been going to for a few years now. The building is old and I love how they showcase the character and age with the decor. It is quaint and bustling due to limited options for a good cup of brew in the area. In any case, the workers are amazing. Polite, respectful, and they appeared to have great camaraderie while slinging espressos. I got a matcha and cold brew. I only had one gripe: not enough ice, but that is also personal preference. In any case, the flavors on both were superb. The matcha was earthy and subtle. A great sunday morning treat. The pastries are also great and they have plenty of lunch/breakfast options to choose from!

I wish I knew my baristas name but she made the cutest little monster on top of my coffee. 5 stars every day

I forgot to write down the name of this muffin but it sure was amazing.

Very nice local Coffee House that I can say has great coffee and muffins. We were staying across the street at an Airbnb which made it really convenient to grab my coffee in the morning. I didn't get a chance to try the food but it looks amazing. And I can say on Sunday morning it was packed. So the food must be good.

Every time I come in it is super quick service. I came in today to pick up a muffin and a caramel Frappuccino in my order is ready within five minutes They have a cute little dining area to sit and have a drink with friends. They also have a cute mini bakery selection with delicious muffins !! The staff is very friendly, and they always work really fast. It's impressive to watch their hands move so quickly with making the drinks. The restaurant is very clean and always looks well taken care of. Sometimes it can be a bit loud with the coffee grinding plus people talking but overall the ambience is very relaxed

Came in and got 2 20 ounce lattes to go. Barista I think was used to regulars, she was a little put out that we took a minute. Coffee came out around five minutes later, total was about 10.00. Nice coffee house atmosphere.

The food and coffee here is really good! I keep coming back to try more breakfast items. The breakfast sandwiches are my favorite. The prices are reasonable too. It's a cozy spot. There is a small parking lot adjacent but a much larger parking lot directly behind the building I suggest going to first on a weekend. Staff can be friendly or not, depending on the person and how busy they are. For example, this visit the cashier was friendly but the girl delivering food placed it on the table kind of rudely.

Poor service, marginal food, high prices what could go wrong, can't seem to see a reason to return! Trust your own risk.

And you can tell, by peering into the cases, the time and passion it took to make everything. It was presentable, colorful, decadent, and difficult to choose any one thing because I wanted to sample it all. From the rosemary goat cheese quiche, to the Hummingbird cake, to slices of pie. I opted to try the macarons. They are my favorite thing. Their macarons are lovely. Just the right amount of crisp and give, the texture has a great chew, and fillings were delicious. Hands down going to become a place I go for macarons. The German Apple Cheesecake was also stellar, just enough tart and sweet to provide balance. I will return to try other things and if you're in the area, check them out!

The inside of the café, it was super cute. Lots of tables and open space for working or catching up with friends. They had a lot of yummy looking baked goods to choose from. I got the Matcha X Matcha from the 2026 winter menu. It was the perfect amount of sweet but still being able to taste the Matcha, which I really appreciate. I also got a cherry danish that was soo good. And if you tried love to try a flavored Matcha or some of their coffee. After I ordered the drink and pastry came out super quick, which was really exciting. Sometimes small cafés take a while to make drinks, especially Matcha. I will say the barista was nice, but not super friendly or talkative. I might've asked some more questions about the Matcha options, but it didn't seem like she wanted to have a conversation. I get not everybody is super chatty and she was a good barista, but I think being a little bit more outgoing makes a barista great. Overall 10/10 will be coming back if I'm in the area.

Customer service was alright, but I think I'm too much of a millennial for the new gen-z customer service now (lol) My husband ordered a raspberry iced tea and I ordered the pistachio latte. I'd suggest that people were there to visit downtown St. Charles, or whatever it's called, which has a certain old-timey charm to it, but everything else was closed--presumably until later in the day, but who knows. That fentanyl is a menace. Parking could be a pain, if it's not the wee hours of the morning on a weekend, and you're not ambulatory enough to walk from a block or two over, and yet you're going to get essentially the equivalent of a milkshake and a donut. Inside is rustic, inviting and larger than you'd think, with an upstairs area that I didn't bother to explore, due to lack of curiosity. We had a larger group and ended up pushing a few smaller tables together, plus a few chairs we borrowed from other tables. No one seemed to mind. The key is not to ask first. That mentality will take you far in both the world of finance and dating. I'm kind of over ordering food from coffee shops, where they're obviously just throwing something in the microwave and charging you $10 for it, but I needed something to eat. I'd just gone for a run. Their burrito looked like the textbook definition of cultural appropriation, but it also looked like it might not be half bad. I had their equivalent of an Egg McMuffin, called Ron's Breakfast Sandwich, or something to that effect. When I hear the name Ron, I of course think of Sasso from Carlito's Way, but that probably says more about me than anything else. I'm assuming he didn't have anything to do with this. Essentially, this was a store-bought English muffin, a surprisingly generous and delicious helping of cheddar cheese, a few slices of seemingly prepackaged black forest ham and a fried egg. It was fine for what it was. Could the egg have been salted, could the muffin have been buttered and could the ham been an actual slice of Canadian bacon, or even better, American bacon? Sure, but I went into this with low expectations. The cheddar was melty and delicious, and weirdly abundant, but processed American cheese would have been more fitting for this kind of sandwich. You'd think a guy named Ron wouldn't object to processed foods. The caramel frappe I had was amazing. I got it with whole milk and whipped cream. I didn't bother to check and see if they charge you extra for whipped cream, which is the kind of crap some of these places have been known to pull. I got the 16 oz instead of the 20 oz, but it was probably still enough to take a day off the end of my life (when I don't need it as much anyway fwiw). Sometimes, when a food item tastes good enough, you can just tell it's not good for you, and that was the case with this drink. It was decidedly rich. I'm never in this part of town, and if I were, it would be at night, natch, but if things ever get to the point where they're clearly trending in that direction, I might start stopping by on the reg and getting that caramel frappe just to speed along the process of my demise.
