Well I live in California and my Debit card was hacked and used at this Walmart in NH. Not just one transaction but 14 transactions in one day all of which each totaled anywhere from $94.00 to $99.00. How can this be? I now have had my card shut down and closing my account as well. First. The elderly man that supposedly the greeter does nothing. He doesn't greet anyone nor does he smile. Honestly. I don't get why they have him up front. Second. I ordered site to store same day pick up. It was quick at processing. When I got there. I had to go to the back for pick up which is the usual for most walmarts. I ordered a pretty heavy coffee table. Even the person who put it on the pully had trouble. Here's where it got me upset. I had to push the pull all the way from the back to the front of the store. I needed someone to help me put it in the car. The elderly man freaked when I asked him making it seem like it was my fault they didn't bring it up and help me. So he rudely told me to go to the customer service desk to ask for help. Why they didn't phone them up front is beyond me. I had to wait in line to get help to put the table in my truck. I purchased a camera that was defective. Walmart has a 15 day return policy on electronics even if the product is defective. They referred me to the manufacturer who was no help at all. Walmart does not stand behind its products. read more

i personally like target, but when i'm in a rush, i go to walmart! i like walmart, it's pretty busy but yes, i do like it. i feel that in general they should have more employees as well. but again, everyone of course has to go to the bathroom. it's really disgusting to go in public ones i feel, because everyone's germs. especially messy ones. so let's get to the point. i had to go to the bathroom one day, and it was incredibly messy!! toilet paper everywhere, pee all over the bathrooms, very few sinks, and a tiny bit of soap, and last no paper towels!! honestly, who likes that? no one!! so yeah i will be going there again, but no NOT TO THE BATHROOM. it's there fault if i pee my pants. sorry. sorry walmart. see you closing up in a few weeks. read more

Superbad. Shelves are empty. Prices are missing. Cashiers are minimally available, if not non-existent. The bathrooms .... a smelly fly-ridden nightmare covered in poop. And the employees are dumb and could care less. The good news? Walmart takes their crap back.... and the lines of morons bringing their crap back are l-o-n-g, so if you are returning, plan accordingly. My advice;; take Paxil or some other anti-depressant before you go to Walmart, Salem NH. Also, NEVER go to this Walmart with a hangover, because alcohol is a indeed depressant, and when you are suffering from over indulging and go to Walmart, Salem, NH, you have just ratcheted up that hangover 100%, Seriously, just look at the horrible clothes for fat people hanging on the racks with gross obese people going through them or how about the produce section, rife with empty shelves, and nobody re-stocking them, where fresh fruit and vegetables well just aren't fresh. Or how about the electronics department where no one knows anything about the products. When you are thoroughly numbed down and depressed, stand in line behind the woman in white pants with the overloaded tampon. Sorry didn't mean to make you gag but I'm sure you've all seen the photos of real Walmart shoppers on line, but this really did happen to me, sorry to write. And finally, drum-roll please... you MUST prepare yourself for the ultimate coups de grace-one which can only to be found at Walmart- you get to have one of their employees look at your receipt and compare it with the crap in your carriage before you leave, just in case you are stealing, mind you, how delightful. Next they will do the full cavity search....it's all just to condition you to be part of the Walmart family, that last little bit of humiliation- to remind you that when you come to Walmart, prepare yourself for depression and humiliation and don't you ever forget it. Firstly, I want to state that I fully understand Walmart's policy on buying alcohol with minors and why it is in place. What I am NOT okay with is the fact our cashier, Christine, refused our sale before even asking my daughters' ages. She said that my daughters can't touch the alcohol because they are underage (which isn't true, one of my daughters is in fact 21 and the other is just shy of 21 so she had no right to assume that but she didn't even ask for IDs to begin with). She then asked for their licenses because I can't even BUY the alcohol with them there. I would get if she did this if it were two young adults, but I am 51 years old and should be able to do grocery shopping with my daughters. Not only this, a woman then walked out of the store with her SIX year old daughter as we were walking to the car with just Coronas in her cart. I think, if you are going to enforce a policy, make it fair for everyone and enforce it from the get-go; we have come here numerous times and had no issues at all doing this as I was the one purchasing it with the money I made. Christine also refused to simply apologize for her actions because the sale was then refused and even my other daughter couldn't go and buy it on her own, because "the cameras were watching". If I were to go to a restaurant with my daughters, they would still serve ME even if they weren't 21, so why won't Walmart do the same? She even made up laws about transporting alcohol, which is NOT okay to lie to consumers. She also made reference to me buying it to give to my kids, which a. isn't true and b. is not her place to judge my character like that, and so how is it possible that I can't buy liquor at the age of 51 but my daughter, just two months ago, could buy a GUN at your store? It was clear that we were going on a vacation as we were about to make a $600 purchase and will NEVER be returning again to your store. I've never had this issue at any other Walmart, and I hope that you look at your training for cashiers like Christine, not only for enforcing store policy (or getting rid of it altogether) but for having human decency and respect for others. read more

Our cashier paid attention to his phone which he managed to hide well from the customers and the mgmt. we got home and found out that we were missing some of the supplies.. In terms of price, this is the best grocery store around. Bring circulars from other grocery stores in the area, and you'll definitely do much better grocery shopping than you'll do elsewhere. Although they don't have the best selection, they will always have everything (such as they don't carry Friendly's, but across all the brands they do carry, they pretty much carry all the flavors in the ice cream aisle). If you don't shop with competitors circulars, you can do a little better than Market Basket (and get better service than you would get there), about 3-10% better. Make that 10-20% if you shop with the competitor's circulars and ask them to price match their sales. read more

Just left the Walmart in Salem,what a mistake. Went to only buy ice melt as there is a storm tomorrow.They carry it in the garden shop area which was locked and no one could open the doors. They had plenty of shovels,generators etc. Can you believe they lock the ice melt up. I hate that store and will drive the extra 10 mins to go to Target. read more

I shop here all the time (more than 4 times a week) partly because my bank, Service Credit Union, has a branch/atm in there. It is only slightly further from home than shaws and other rinky dink convenient stores, but this is no matter because honestly when you get right down to it im the type of guy who only cares about low prices and impersonal service. Its just like any other wal mart at the roots but from my experience it has its quirks. The parking lot is almost always strewn with shopping carts every which way, half of which generally occupy the best parking spots. this pisses me off because they could easily correct this by putting cart areas on BOTH SIDES OF THE MEDIANS! instead only one per side so lazy people dont bother putting their shopping cart away if it is too far or the stupid median blocks the most convenient path. i see the same employees all the time so i know the day greeter is a bit outspoken, and a rather odd fellow (seems nice though). other staff during weekday hours (when i normally shop) seem either reasonable or nonexistent. i just about always use self service lanes and know the ins and outs, but on busy weekends i generally avoid them because other infrequents who use the self service lanes have waay too many items and don't know how to use the machines so it takes them FOR EVER. the cashiers at this place seem to hate their jobs but at least they dont seem to take it out on us customers. my final complaint/suggestion is a little obscure, but remember this is coming from a regular who really only buys chips and soda there anyway. manager sydney knowles, if you are reading this review, FOR GOD'S SAKES PLEASE START STOCKING JUMBO BAGS OF ANDY CAPPS HOT FRIES! i dont want to drive all the way to market basket for them (which seems like the only other place around i can get them anymore!) there may not be much demand from anybody else, but this demand of 1 right here is very keen on his hot fries and i expect you to cater to his needs. read more

I walked into this 'professional' business and greeted a worker. I asked how are you and her reply was 'mmm'. I can not believe how horrible this service is, and to work here you must have to have an IQ below 60. Anyways, I was going to buy my nephew a fish and the woman working at the desk said 'You must wait!'. I then waited 40 minutes for a rude manager that operated the fish section to greet me. She told me I should probably wait a while to buy my tank and when I said I don't want to she said 'My brother is a Marlin fisherman, I think I know more about this than you.' I was astonished and was ready to tell her boss, but I decided I will not waste any more time with these arrogant fools. She then made me wait another two minutes to go get a ladder instead of allowing my friend to get the fish out. The rudest manager I have ever had to deal with!
